Itinerary

Overview

In the morning, after guests have been picked up from their hotels in Beijing, we will embark on this tour, starting at Tian An Men Square. From here, we will enter the Forbidden City. After a delicious lunch, we will make our way to the Temple of Heaven. Our final destination of the day is the Summer Palace. Over the course of the day, we will also get the opportunity to browse a pearl market and possibly buy goods. Afterwards, guests will be dropped off to end this tour. Beijing, CN

With more than 20 million people, China's capital is one of the most populated cities in the world. Beijing is an incredibly ancient city, and its stylized architecture, opulent gardens, and more have made it a popular tourism locale.

Tiananmen Square

The 4th largest city square in the world, Tiananmen Square is a large, open area, surrounded on all sides by important national buildings: the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, the National Museum of China, and the Great Hall of the People.

Forbidden City

For 500 years, the Forbidden City was the palace of the Chinese emperors. It is divided into two sections, the Inner and Outer Courts. The Palace Museum houses many collections of traditional paintings, jade, and ceramics.

Temple of Heaven

This large complex of Daoist buildings was built in the early 15th-century under the rule of the Yongle Emperor. The main structures are the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Imperial Vault of Heaven, and the Circular Mound Altar.

Summer Palace

The Summer Palace is a complex on the outskirts of Beijing, comprised of multiple palaces, gardens, and lakes. The first palace was built in the 12th century CE under the Jin Dynasty, and many subsequent emperors chose to build additions.
