Itinerary

Overview

After guests have been picked up from the specified departure location, we will embark on this tour. Our first stop of the day will be Tiananmen Square, where we will learn briefly about the communist influences over the country. From here, we will enter the Forbidden City to explore the over-180 acres of ancient palace grounds. After we take a brief stop for lunch, we will visit the Badaling Great Wall, one of the best preserved sections of China's iconic landmark. Over the course of our journey, we will also make a shopping trip to a local jade factory. Afterwards, guests will be dropped off to end this tour. Tiananmen Square

The 4th largest city square in the world, Tiananmen Square is a large, open area, surrounded on all sides by important national buildings: the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, the National Museum of China, and the Great Hall of the People.

Forbidden City

For 500 years, the Forbidden City was the palace of the Chinese emperors. It is divided into two sections, the Inner and Outer Courts. The Palace Museum houses many collections of traditional paintings, jade, and ceramics.

Badaling Great Wall

Badaling is the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, located to the northwest of central Beijing. It is also one of the more recently built portions of the wall, constructed in the 16th century CE.
