Day 1

Experience Christmas in Newport, Rhode Island, one of America's most enthralling cities. Voted by ABC's "Good Morning America" as one of the top ten most beautiful places during the Holiday Season. Thousands of poinsettia plants, spectacular evergreen trees, wreaths, fresh flowers, and 19th century style ornaments turn the mansions in Newport into a Christmas Wonderland. In the morning, visit The Breakers, a 70 room mansion on 11 acres of oceanfront land. See the mansion fully decorated in its Yule time finest.

Time is then provided for lunch and shopping (on your own - approximately 2 hours) at the beautiful waterfront area. Continue your adventure with a visit to William K. Vanderbilts' summer home, Marble House - built in 1892 with 500,000 cubic feet of white marble. Sit back and relax as you drive along ten mile Ocean Drive and admire the spectacular views of mansions and coves before returning home to Boston.

Newport, RI

Newport is a high end New England seaport town, extremely popular among the mega-rich of America. Travel along Ocean Drive to get beautiful scenic views and see the magnificent Breakers Mansion. It is a short drive from Boston.

Breakers Mansion

The Breakers Mansion is the largest and most opulent of the famous and historical Newport Mansions open to the public. Built by the Vanderbilt family at the turn of the century, this "summer cottage" stuns and amazes.

Marble House

One of the famous Newport Mansions, Marble House was one of the most elaborate and opulent mansions in the US at the time of its construction in 1892. Today it is a museum that is open to visitors.
