Day 1

Boston - 1000 Islands - Niagara Falls (251 miles)

We will depart from Boston at 7:00am and begin by touring the 1000 Islands on the 1000 Islands Cruise Boat.* When we arrive at Niagara Falls around 8:00pm, we will embark on a night tour to view the spectacular Falls lit with floodlights.

Thousand Islands

The Thousand Islands is an archipelago at the Canada-U.S. border from the northeast corner of Lake Ontario. They stretch for about 50 miles. The U.S. islands are in the state of New York and the Canadian islands are in Ontario. The smaller islands only have single residences.
  • In the Saint Lawrence River between New York and Ontario, there are 1,864 islands. This picturesque landscape has been a vacation destination for more than 150 years, and with good reason. The attractions include lighthouses, museums, fishing, and diving.

This morning, we will embark on the "Maid of the Mist" boat cruise,* which will take us into the rapids at the very base of the Falls, after which we will visit Goat Island. We will also visit the Niagara Falls IMAX Theater* to hear incredible stories. After eating lunch around the area of the Falls, we will head back to Boston, arriving home around 8:30pm.
