2-Day Acadia, Maine Tour from Boston

We will embark from Boston in the early morning, and drive five hours north to the beautiful Mount Desert Island, part of Maine’s renowned northern coastal region. Once we have arrived, we will spend the remainder of our day within the 50,000 acres of Acadia National Park’s pristine, mountainous landscape and vast stretches of coniferous forests. We will wind our way along the 20 mile Park Loop Road, which offers spectacular vistas of land, sea, and sky. From there, we’ll make our way up to the rocky top of Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the north Atlantic seaboard, where you can gaze out upon the Atlantic coastline and enjoy the cool breezes of the Maine wilderness that surge to greet us.

Scenic Bar Harbor is the getaway location for Mainers throughout the state.  Seated picturesquely between the edge of Acadia National Park and the Atlantic Ocean, directly on an inlet along the Maine coastline, Bar Harbor is a bustling hamlet with deep attachments to the ocean and its wildlife.  Aside from strolling the streets, shopping in the charming galleries and local craft stores, or dining on seafood that is as fresh as can be, you can opt for a harbor tour* of the beautiful Maine coast, or join a whale watch cruise* to catch a glimpse of the magnificent creatures that grace these waters.
