Itinerary

DAY1 Arrival in Chengdu

Arrive in Chengdu in the morning. Panda, one of the loveliest creatures on this planet are mainly resident in Sichuan, so the Panda garden in Chengdu is our must-visit. And we will also recommend the sites as Jinsha Museum, Wenshu temple, Dufu thatched cottage, Jinli old street to you. Listen to our guide, and you decide.

DAY2 Chengdu - Lhasa

Fly to Lhasa in the morning. Take the airport bus and transfer to the city. Nearly about 2 hrs' driving from airport to Lhasa will show us the pretty and wide nature of Tibet. Free in the afternoon to be acclimated.

DAY3 Lhasa

In the morning we will visit the ancient Potala Palace with guide accompany, Potala Place is the Must visit in Lhasa, where you will enjoy the ancient history of Tibet. After that, we will recommend you to make a bargain in the Tietan, Nepal and Indian styles mixed Barkort Street and Jorkang temple.

DAY4 Lhasa City Tour

Free time for exploration today. We would like to recommend you explore the ancient Zebang Monastery and Sera Monastery.

DAY5 Depart Lhasa

Today we will bid farewell to Lhasa and head for other destination of China by flight or train.

1	What months in Tibet are considered as peak season, shoulder season and low season?

The Peak Season of Tibet is July, August and September; the Shoulder Season refers to April, May, and October; the Low Season could be January, February, March, November and December.
In addition, different cities have different concept of the Peak Season according to their climate. In Jiuzhaigou and Shangri-la area the peak season are September and October.

2	What do I need for Tibet travel?

You will need a valid passport, a China visa in most of the area. If you will travel in Tibetan Autonomous Administration Region (Lhasa around), you need to apply a Tibet entry permit. Keep in mind, Tibet is a part of China, so when you come back the inner land of China from Tibet, your China visa is still valid. When you travel in Tibetan region in Sichuan, Yunnan, Qinghai and Gansu province, Tibet entry permit is not required because these areas are open.

3	Shall I need to bring too much cash?

We don’t encourage you bring too much cash, but you need to bring certain cash. The international bank system in most of the Tibetan area does not complete, and cash is still the main way of trade. Your international credit card or travel check can work only in a few big cities of Tibet.

4	What is the electricity voltage and frequency in Tibet?

The standard electricity voltage in Tibet is 220V and 50Hz in frequency.

5	Is it easy to find international telephone call service in Tibet?

Only in the big cities as Lhasa, Shygatse, you can find the telecomm office providing international telephone service.

6	Is it easy to find Internet service in Tibet?

Most of the towns in Tibet have the internet service in the hotels or street.

7	What is kind of food we eat throughout the trip?

Meals mainly rely on local condition. In big cities as Lhasa with nice hotel, breakfasts are western style buffet; in small towns will be simple food they can provide in max. Lunches and dinners will be Chinese style food, even packed fast food according to the trip. Of course, we will also arrange a few Tibetan style food as special favor.

8	Shall we tip for the guides and drivers?

Certain tip can greatly encourage the service of the guides and drivers. We suggest that you can tip your guides and drivers reasonably according to the trip you make and their effort in their works.
