Day 1: Chicago - Detroit(281 miles)

Our tour will start with Detroit, the capital of automobiles in the United States. We will visit Ford Piquette Avenue Plant . Then we will also stop at the Ford Motor Company.

Our first stop of the day will be the Empire State Building so we can get a full view of the city we are about to explore. Then, we will take a Statue of Liberty Cruise that will take us to the base of Lady Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. After that, we will stop by the USS Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum. Of course, we will not miss the famous Metropolitan Museum of Art. We will conclude today's excitement in Times Square. There you will have a chance to visit the world-famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and take fun photos with wax sculptures of American and international celebrities. We will have dinner at Times Square before returning to the hotel.

In the morning we will visit the Financial District, Wall Street, taking pictures with the symbol of New York Stock Exchange - Charging Bull, and visiting Trinity Church (Outside). Then we will be heading to the internationally known Brooklyn Bridge. After lunch in Chinatown, we will visit the most ?luxury? street in the world, the Fifth Avenue. There, we will visit Rockefeller Center, a noted commercial complex built in the 1930s. In the afternoon, we will arrive in the Times Square countdown area and get ready to celebrate the coming of 2019 with thousands of visitors from all over the world! During that time, roads around the countdown zone will be closed for pedestrian only; you can freely enjoy the bright lights of Times Square and experience the world-famous New Year Eve's celebrations. (There would be no space for storage shopping bags so please do not purchase any goods on that day.)

Ithaca is also the home to Cornell University, an Ivy League school. Guests can choose to take a guided Cornell Campus Tour at your own expense.

    • Booking changes
      A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
    • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
      Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .

      Up to 46 days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
      21-45 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
      9-20 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.

      Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
      Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
      The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 10% handling fee.
      NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds 30 days after completion of the tour.
    • Itinerary Variations
      We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
      In case of attraction closures (due to holidays or construction, etc.), tour guide may make some necessary changes to the itinerary accordingly.
      Itineraries are subject to change due to the weather, transportation and other conditions, in order to provide the best experience for you.
    • Tour Cancellation:
      We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers. We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
    • The opening hours and capacity limit of attractions and national parks will be subject to change from time to time due to COVID-19. When the operating hours and capacity restriction have an impact on the itinerary, it shall be regarded as force majeure. Thank you for your understanding.

    • City passes are not accepted during an escorted tour due to the fact that they do not correspond into the tour schedule. The group entrance tickets provided by tour guides have fast lane and tour guides accompany passengers for activities.
    • Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
    • Itineraries are subject to change due to the weather, transportation and other conditions, in order to provide the best experience for you.
    • Customers are held solely responsible for their own travel documents and/or visas if required.
