Day 1

This scenic tour of Chicago is the most convenient way to see the best attractions in the city. Guests will have hop-on/hop-off access to the trolleys or upper decker buses which run on a continuous loop around the city. You will be able to leave the bus to explore an attraction in-depth, than complete the loop later by getting back on. On your journey, you will see the Field Museum of Natural History, the Adler Planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Willis Tower (Sears Tower), John Hancock Tower, Navy Pier, the North Pier, and the Chicago Avenue Water Tower. There is the option to select one or two day tickets. Please see "Departure and Return" for scheduled times and stops.

Chicago, IL

Chicago is a city of color and history. The largest city in the American Midwest, it sits on Lake Michigan. It is home to one of the world's tallest buildings, the Willis Tower, and many other amazing activities.

Art Institute of Chicago

The Art Institute is the 2nd-largest art museum in the US after the Met in New York. It houses pieces by renowned painters such as Van Gogh, Monet, and Cezanne, as well as an extensive collection of African-American art.

Adler Planetarium

With a famous, award-winning design, the Adler Planetarium, which sits right on the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago, strives to inspire interest in the cosmos in its visitors. The Doane Observatory is located inside.

Chicago Avenue Water Tower

The Chicago Avenue Water Tower and Pumping Station was built in 1869 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. Now defunct, the building serves as an art gallery for locals and tourists alike.

Field Museum of Natural History

Chicago's Field Museum is one of the largest natural history museums in the world. It is home to Sue, the largest and most-complete T-rex skeleton ever found. Its collection contains more than 24 million specimens and reports.

Navy Pier

Both a designated Chicago Landmark and a member of the US National Register of Historic Places, this is Chicago's most popular tourist spot. It is home to a small theme park and fairground, as well as a minigolf course.

Shedd Aquarium

The Shedd Aquarium is home to more than 25,000 fish and other marine animals of more than 1500 species. It has been honored as both a National Historic Landmark and on the National Register of Historic Places.

Willis Tower

At the time of its construction in 1973, Chicago, IL's Willis Tower was the tallest building in the world and remained so for twenty-five years. It is still the second-tallest in the US and eighth-tallest in the world.

North Pier

Chicago's North Pier is a fun area in the lakefront area. The North Pier apartments, a condominium complex that is the city's 43rd tallest building, are located in this area.
