The tour begins with the Ponderosa Pines of Flagstaff, past the dormant volcanoes of the San Francisco Peaks on our way to the South Entrance of the Grand Canyon.
Next you will board the historic, Grand Canyon Railway. The train offers wonderful views of the San Francisco Peaks and rolls through valleys filled in wild flowers, dense pine forests, high desert plains and small canyons. The train arrives just steps from the Grand Canyon's South Rim. A box lunch will be provided to be enjoyed during your train ride to the Grand Canyon so upon arrival your ready to enjoy visiting and shopping at many historic buildings and museums, like the Hopi House, the rustic El Tovar Lodge, the Grand Canyon Railway Station and Kolb Studio at the Grand Canyon Village. The guide will be there at a prearranged time and location to continue your narrated Grand Canyon tour.
You will have time to take in the beautiful views at different venues along the South Rim of the canyon.Your last stop will be at Desert View. You can climb to the top of the Watchtower Observatory for amazing panoramic views that will take your breath away.
