In the morning, guests will be picked up in Honolulu to begin this tour Today, we will immerse ourselves in the paradise that is O'ahu on this 120-mile around-the-island excursion full of scenic stops and spectacular views. Our first stop of the day will be the Dole Plantation, where we can learn about the sweet fruit of Hawaii. Then we will descend into the plantation town of Haleiwa, now a historic, cultural, and scenic district, and the gateway to the famous surfing beaches of Banzai Pipeline, Sunset, and Waimea Bay. We are sure to be amazed at the scenic views at the Nu'uanu Pali Lookout.

Cowboys aren't thought of as part of Hawaiian culture, but the Kualoa Ranch is a favorite destination, where the bustle of Honolulu seems so far away. A short time later, we will enter the peaceful grounds of the Byodo-In Buddhist Temple, nestled in a green gem of a valley. Then, we will continue along the eastern shore, viewing the sparkling, turquoise waters that are home to coral forests where marine life thrives. We will see the waves crashing onto the beaches of Hanauma Bay. At the top of the Diamond Head Volcano, we will catch a magnificent panoramic view of the island. We will pass the Halona Blowhole before completing the final leg of our journey, eventually returning to Honolulu, where guests will be dropped off to end this tour. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

  • Oahu, HI

    Oahu, HI
Oahu is the most popular of the Hawaiian Islands. It is the location of Honolulu, Hawaii's capital, as well as much-loved tourist spots like Pearl Harbor and Waikiki. The Polynesian Cultural Center is on this island as well.

    Dole Plantation

Dole Plantation opened in 1950, billing itself as "Hawaii's Pineapple Experience." In addition to touring the fields, visitors can attempt the "world's largest maze," a 3-acre adventure with more than two miles of paths and a mystery to solve.

    Byodo-In Buddhist Temple

Surrounded by koi ponds, this non-denominational temple was built in the 1960s to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants to the Hawaiian islands. Before entering, visitors should ring the peace bell.

    Haleiwa

A town along the northwest coast of O'ahu, Haleiwa is known as a top surfing destination. Matsumoto Shave Ice is a local favorite, where visitors can get Hawaii's favorite dessert.

    Kualoa Ranch

This ranch in the lovely Ka'a'awa Valley on Oahu is a beef cattle ranch, and a perfect place for horseback riding and hiking. It has been used as a filming location for many famous movies, such as Jurassic Park.

    Halona Blowhole

The Halona Blowhole on the south shore of Oahu is the result of tubes created in rock thousands of years ago by volcanic eruptions. Large waves force water through the tubes, jetting it 30 feet into the air.

    Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve

Both a bathing beach and a nature preserve, the Hanauma Bay area is one of Oahu's most popular tourist spots. While actually touching the local animals is illegal, you can still get closer to them than almost anywhere else!

    Opening Hours: Closed on Tuesdays

    Diamond Head

Rising over Honolulu, Diamond Head is a dormant volcano with an interior crater. The Diamond Head crater is one of the world's best examples of this geological formation. The crater's interior is now a national park.

    Nu'uanu Pali Lookout

This scenic point on Koʻolau Mountain in Oahu's Nuʻuanu Valley offers spectacular panoramic views of the northeastern coastline of the island of Oahu. The area is also the location of the Nuʻuanu Freshwater Fish Refuge and Nu'uanu Reservoir.
