    Today we will gather in Honolulu. Guests can meet the tour escort in the baggage claim area between 7:00am and 10:00pm for free transfer to the hotel.

    Oahu (40 miles)

    Today we will visit the USS Arizona Memorial and National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Pearl Harbor, HI. Later, we will tour Honolulu, HI, seeing sights such as the Honolulu Hale, 'Iolani Palace, and the King Kamehameha Statue. We will also stop at the jewelry shop, The Keoni Collection. In the afternoon, guests may do as they please.

    Our tour will begin at the University of Hawaii, one of the top universities in the Pacific, continuing through the Hawaiian Homelands districts of Manoa and Makiki, passing by the prestigious Punahou School where President Barack Obama graduated from high school in 1979 and Dr. Sun Yat-Sen graduated when it was once Oahu College. From there, we will proceed to Obama's childhood home on Poki Street, where he periodically lived with his mother and little sister from 1974 to 1976. Next, we will see Kapiolani Medical Center, where he was born, before we continue to 1617 Beretania Street, where he lived with his grandparents from 1971 to 1976. Then we will see the historical Central Union Church. Continuing to the Punchbowl National Cemetery, we will be able to see where Obama's grandfather is buried and where his grandmother's memorial services were held. Onward, we will visit the Chinese Cultural Plaza, where Dr. Sun Yat-Sen formed his first revolutionary society, Xin Zhong Hui, and also the Iolani School, where Yat-Senstudied in his younger days. Then we will stop at Maui Divers jewelry shop. The tour will wrap up with some traditional Hawaiian shave ice, a favorite of Barack Obama.

    Honolulu

    After breakfast, guests will have some free time before being picked up at the hotel and brought back to the airport. See "Departure and Return Details" for flight and dropoff information.

    • Airport meet and greet: The tour escort will be wearing a white polo shirt and waiting for you in the baggage claim area.
    • Airport pickup: Please provide arrival/return flight schedules at least 3 business days prior to departure; otherwise, you are required to travel to the hotel at your own expense. In case of a flight delay of more than 30 minutes, or if your flight arrives between 10:00pm and 7:00am, you will be asked to travel to the hotel at your own expense. Should you arrive before the tour's starting date or extend your stay beyond the tour, airport pickup and/or dropoff service may be arranged accordingly. You can contact TakeTours for details.
    • Pier Transport: Pier pickup/drop-off is available. Please select Pier as pickup/drop-off when you book the tour. There will be $10 extra charge per person (min 2 people, i.e. min $20/transfer).

    • Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 36 hours of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status.

      Redemption

    • For every confirmed booking you will be required to print a voucher which is presented at the destination. You will receive an confirmation email after your order was received.Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your Confirmation Email.

    • Prices are subject to change as hotel availability may be limited. Alternate hotel selections and travel dates will be advised (within one business day) and prices will vary
    • Cancellation: No refunds for cancellations or changes made after booking confirmed. Tour is non-refundable. We are not responsible for any expenses incurred as a result of the tour being cancelled due to weather conditions or strikes or cancellation of flights by the airline. Visits, stops and other tour components may be deleted, added and/or substituted from the tour without notice.
    • We reserve right to cancel a schedule to fully refund affected customers although we will make every effort to maintain the regular operation.
