my tour guide was Larry awesome guy! The
hotels were ok and comfortable.
I don't see why people complain about them when we don't spend that much time in them.

I recommend this tour, we had an incredible time on this trip, met the wonders of San Francisco and more. Our guide was very friendly and attentive all the time.
First and foremost, this is a tour designed for Chinese folks, particularly for those from China by a Chinese company (West Coast Holidays, Monterey Park, CA). The tour guide did his best to be bilingual (& I appreciate it), but he clearly had difficulty communicating with non-Chinese speaking folks.
Second, the hotel accommodations were downright horrible (and horrifying). We stayed in Clarion in Modesto, CA for the second night, and it was simply a dumpster - black mold in the bathroom, broken drainage, broken shower curtain, cigarette ashes in the tray to name a few. Worse yet, when I called these guys at West Coast Holidays, all I got was finger pointing (directed at Clarion). My issue with this tour company is why they're continuing to do business with this hotel in Modesto, CA, knowing fully well the condition of the hotel (when I complained to the tour guide, he said I should feel lucky because things were much worse before, and he asked me to file complaints to the tour company. Well, that didn't do me or anyone any good - all I got was just the runaround).
Third, the actual cost of the trip is NOT what they advertise -- instead, be ready to add at least $35 per person (for SF Tour, for example) -- their itinerary says it's optional but it really isn't. You're basically stuck in the bus with the rest of the folks for the tour. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but they should be more honest and up front about the true cost -- be ready to spend $65-70 in addition (you will be pressured to spend the extra dollars for those optional tours).
Overall, this tour can be summed up as "You get what you pay for", except the hotel accommodations are simply criminal, and I place a big part of the blame squarely on this tour company. Shame on them for continuing to do business with those shady hotels, and they wash their hands when they receive complaints, saying it's not their problem -- it IS your problem, and you guys are willing acomplices. Check out the websites like Yelp, TripAdvisor, Expedia, and best of all, on THEIR OWN FACEBOOK page, and you will find a plenty of complaints and disgusting pictures (search for Clarion Inn Conference Center in Modesto, CA).
This was a trip that was awesome in the sense that it made us cover a lot of places in just three days. The hotel where we stayed were super clean and awesome. If you hate the bus trips, it's not for you as it involves 3 days of continuous bus rides. The trip involves stopping at places where there are good restaurants and shopping centres. The driver was extremely friendly and nice. I believe if the conductor spoke a little less than he does it would be really nice. Overall, the trip is worth it. Remember that you will have to shell out at least 70 more dollars on tickets and tips.
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour - there was an interesting mix of people on the bus and our tour guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. The three days were packed full of wonderful sights along the coast, in San Francisco and Yosemite, where it would have been nice to stay a bit longer.
This is a great tour at a reasonable price. My only complaint was about the hotel where we stayed on the second night (Clarion Inn)... it was shabby and a bit run-down (our room air conditioning didn't work).
Overall, I loved the tour and would recommend it to anyone looking to cover SF in a short time.
I took this tour for first time with this company. Very organized and they offered tour for reasonable price. When you arrive to the hotel, you don't have to do registration, they do everything for you. The guides were very nice. They offer you more options during the tour for more money, but it's your option if you take them. I recommend this tour and this company.
West Coast without visiting the world famous Golden Gate and Yosemite National Park is just incomplete.
And if you have Santa Barbara - the scenic beach, Silicon Valley - the land of the software masterminds, Stanford University, Bay Cruise below the Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, City Hall - all added to it - then the trip is just more than any one can imagine. Right? That too in 3 days. So, pack your bags, get ready and have this tour. And yes - do not forget to watch your time - because they start on time and leave on time. You might miss the bus - at any point if you are not on time. They will take you to innumerable options of food outlets to choose from. And do not forget to do your own research on the weather conditions, clothings needed , cash needed, etc - because after all you cannot blame the tour guide for snowing!!! Happy Journey.
I have taken this tour and recommended to my friends a few times. This is an extensive tour in a short period of time. The frequent stops (every 2 hours or less) makes it less tiring and helps with fatigue. I would recommend this tour to my friends again!
Tour was good! Tour guides are very helpful. Properly planned. The price is convenient. In general, it was a good experience. The target is mainly Chinese people, and the guide speaks 60% Chinese and 40% English. I personally recommend this trip to all the tourists and especially Indians to travel with TakeTours.com. It is very safe and secured to book the tour, and TakeTours' vendor adhered to the conditions given in the itinerary. It's really worth it and very budgeted as compared to other travel companies in India especially for the United States. Clear instructions were given by email and support is very good
I just returned from the 2 night, 3 day tour of Solvang, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, and Yosemite. It was a great tour, my 9 year old daughter and I had so much fun. The majority of the tour travelers were Asian, so the tour guide and the driver assured that our lunch and dinner locations were highly accommodating to the majority, which was one downside of the trip. I would have liked for that portion of the trip to be more accommodating to everyone. Overall, the trip was excellent, and I would highly recommend it. Our tour guide was Chinese but translated everything in English to the non-Chinese speaking travelers. The hotel accommodations were excellent, our first room at the San Mateo Inn was nice- it had a microwave and fridge, and we were able to buy food for in the morning and prepare it in our rooms. Everything was extremely nice especially for the amount. Please take this tour, you would be very pleased.
We had a great time on this tour. Our tour guide, Peter, was very accommodating and patient with all of us. The hotel we stayed in was great. The itinerary we had was to our satisfaction, and the price is reasonable. The only unsatisfactory thing was the seats of the bus need re-upholstering. It is very uncomfortable, and within a 30 minute ride my back was hurting. I would highly recommend the tour and I am looking forward to our next road trip. The only other comments I have is that we were to be joined with another group but it did not happen due to miscommunication. We were given a different bus instead of being in 1 bus.
Very good tour if you want to know new places, the same they promise you.
Very good organization, you dont have to do anything, your room is ready in the hotel, they buy the tickets you need with no lines.
In general the trip was fun, and awesome. The fair was really a good deal. The driver was good and really tried her best to be on time always but there are some problems that were not on her hand. Otherwise good. Our guide, Eva, was informative and fun. Overall the trip was good.
The tour is definitely value for your money. We had been well informed about additional charges and were very happy to pay these.
The itinerary was well planned and we kept to schedule.
The bus could have been more comfortable (the seats were very close with limited leg room) and the guide, more informative.
However, overall it was a most enjoyable 3-day tour.
This tour is very good if you are going to San Francisco and Yosemite and want to cover everything in 1 day. My only grudge is that they should include everything in the final price and not ask to separate charges in cash on bus. Also they can save time and take us directly to San Francisco instead of giving more time in between places. The bus was okay though there were no charging plugs. The tour guide was okay, time given at Yosemite was very less, they need to add more points to Yosemite.
The whole tour was pretty awesome. I experienced and learned a lot, and I would like to stay there a little bit longer because it was not enough time to see those interesting places. The tour guide was all right. He looked very young, and he was responsible. However, he spoke lousy English and Chinese, and sometimes he made a lot of dramatic pauses without any reason. Also, I wished he could explain more about every tourist attraction that we visited. Overall, I enjoyed the tour though.
The 3 day tour to Yosemite-San Francisco was a really nice weekend getaway. There was no pressure to purchase optional packages and we walked around Chinatown and Japantown instead of the city and boat tours in SF. I wish we had more time in Solvang instead of stopping at Santa Barbara for 20 minutes. The tour guide spoke some English, so he was great. The only negative things were that we had to be on the bus by 5-6:00AM each day and we had endure super long bathroom lines (leaving us not much time for sightseeing in some areas). All in all, this is a fun getaway and you get to do a lot of stuff in a short amount of time. I highly recommend it.
Overall, this is a great tour if you have never been to San Francisco. You will see all the major tourists spots. The bus was very comfortable. The tour guide gave us good information about every spot that we visited. I like the experience and I would recommend it to my friends.
As many other reviewers have mentioned, the tour is very rushed and often requires you to wake up and gather at 6:00AM. The bus is also very crammed and you won't really have space to stretch. There is a restroom on the bus, which we were not supposed to use, but when we spent a long time on the freeway and some of the tourists needed to use the restroom, the tour guide allowed them to use the one on the buses. So it's not really a restroom we cannot use, but it's more for emergencies only.
The tour did bring us to everywhere on the itinerary, and it was a great experience. Not much time spent at each place, but sufficient enough for you to look around/ eat/ take photos, and get a feel of the place. The tour guide was bilingual but his English was a bit weak, and he conducted most of the tour in Chinese. However, since I understand both English and Chinese, I can safely say that the key points about the various locations were still communicated clearly in both languages. The tour guide often includes other things like his own opinions or certain history analogies to China in Chinese. Oh and the accommodation was really good in my opinion :)
For the price, I would say I don't have high expectations, and I read the reviews beforehand so I was quite mentally prepared. It was still a great weekend and I would recommend it for those who do not want to plan an entire San Francisco trip, or those who would prefer not to drive long hours to and from Los Angeles and San Francisco or around San Fran. However, if you tend to be claustrophobic or would like to spend more time at each location, this tour may not be so suitable for you.
We booked a 3 day tour from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
Pros: The price was what caught our attention $140 per person and buy two get one free! So we didn't really have high expectations since it was a cheap deal. We stopped by all of the locations listed on our itinerary and the stops were all very quick which makes sense in order to see all the sights listed. The bus has power outlets behind the seats so our phones were always charged for staying entertained during most of the drive. The hotel they booked us for 2 nights was the Marriott and it was a really big room and VERY nice. Even had a small weight room to get a workout in. I think the hotel alone was worth the price of our booking.
Cons: The biggest issue we had was our tour guide's English was horrible. I already went in knowing that it's an English and Chinese tour, but was hoping the guide would at least be able to speak a bit better English so I can understand what he's talking about in each location. I don't know if anyone understood him, we didn't even understand the instructions half of the time of when to meet back at the bus. It's okay though, all of the information is online anyways if you're REALLY that interested in the facts of each area. So if you plan on booking, be sure to keep your expectations low for the tour guides English and you'll be happy. I wish we had a bit more time at each location, but I know it's not possible if we want to be able to see everything. Another issue I personally had was the person I sat next to kept farting and I was getting a headache from the smell! Yes, that has nothing to do with the tour itself, but man it was horrible luck with my seating.
Overall the booking is worth your money! Tons of places to see and take pictures! Good luck and Enjoy!
Extensive San Francisco Tour, just Google and check details of place and decide.
I feel it is better to check packages near Fisherman Wharf and decide.
We didn't get a closer look at the Golden Gate Bridge. It would be better if I would have dropped the Extensive San Francisco Tour plan. Take a bicycle and roam around, maps are available near Fisherman's Wharf.
About Yosemite, I wanted to visit this park just to see the giant trees but this tour does not go through those spots.
In all it was an okay tour for me.
I wanted to visit Golden Gate Bridge and the Giant Tree, I need to visit San Francisco and Yosemite only for the Golden Gate Bridge and Giant Trees.
I will visit these places again for sure, but on my own expense or I will not go for the optional trip.
This tour is a very good value for the money, and the good thing is that you can have all the afternoon in San Francisco to visit it on your own. The rest of the itinerary, however, could be better. For example, they stop at Solvang (which is very artificial, just like an outdoor mall) instead of spending time in Santa Barbara (for example, a stop at the mission would have been way more interesting). The tour is mainly organized for Chinese tourists, but it is worthy for the money and our tour guide, Samantha, was very nice.
This tour is phenomenal. Our tour guide, Samantha, was wonderful...very knowledgeable and helpful. We saw everything as listed in the itinerary and the accommodations were excellent. Very good tour for the money and we highly recommend it to anyone who wants to explore California.
My husband and I recently took the Santa Barbara, Solvang, San Francisco and Yosemite tour and we enjoyed it. Eddy was our tour guide and he was awesome and extremely nice. The driver on the other hand was rude and never smiled. Bong, the driver had me throw away my $12 hot dog away before stepping into the bus. However, he allowed two other people take and eat their food in the bus. Eddy did apologize for the drivers behavior and miscommunication. The bus ride was comfortable and rest stops were every two hours. The lunch and dinner options did not offer any variety. Lunch and dinner were always Asian food. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend.
We had a great time with this trip. Our tour guide, Al, was very helpful and friendly. Our stay in the hotel was superb as well. We're looking forward for more tours with TakeTours:) Highly recommended....
Value for your money, this package is superb. The accommodation and the bus service are also excellent. The places that we visited are really great attractions. Our tour guide is very professional and helpful. But may I remind future guests to be ready for a very tight schedule, and don't expect that you will have 8-hour sleep.
Definitely a good tour. Ariel, our tour guide, was very helpful, informative and had patience. Good hotels were provided. Driver was a nice person. It's a 3 day tour and a lot of sights are included, so it always felt like we didn't have enough time! Sights like Yosemite Park needed a bit more time. Overall, I enjoyed it.
It was a wonderful tour! Liked all guides, Michael, driver - George and, of course, the places that we visited. Everything was very well organized. It would have been nice if for lunch, we would not have been dropped in a Dutch town where everything was so expensive, but doing it for an hour nothing, and at McDonald's , especially because there were many of them along the way. Loved the tour in San Francisco, but in Yosemite I would like to stay longer . The hotels in which we stayed were just wonderful! Thank you to your company for this tour.
Definitely value for the money.
Tour guide: Really cool guy (Peter). Was easy to talk to and definitely did his job as a tour guide with explaining the rules in the beginning, talking about the things we passed by, and giving times to come back. At one point he kind of tried to pressure us into purchasing the optional package but was definitely cool when we declined. He is Chinese so he has an accent but was really nice explaining further when asked to. That also meant that the tour is also half in Chinese and that probably most of the people you will tour with are Chinese.
Accommodation: The hotels were pretty nice. I read the reviews on the hotels they listed and they weren't so great, but they listed "or similar." The first hotel was nice and clean. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express near San Francisco. Not the greatest but you get your money's worth. We had to get up pretty early to leave by 6:00AM. Peter said he arranged a wake-up call but it never happened. I know for sure since I woke up before the arranged wake-up call time and never heard the phone ring. The second hotel was a lot nicer. It was about 2 hours away from Yosemite and was about a 2 hour ride from San Francisco with the traffic. We stayed at a Double Tree and it was great. Very nice room and establishment. Room was better. They had a gym, pool, garden, and some other nice things ,which were kind of a waste since we got there at 9:30pm and had to leave in the morning at 5:00am. So we pretty much got there and went to sleep pretty soon after showering and all that. This hotel actually did the wake-up call which came in handy with the more intense wake-up time.
Transportation: It was a bus, can't expect much for this price. It was definitely a lower tier bus. Seated little over 50 people. One story, seats did not recline, no tables, a little cramped, weak ventilation. Bathroom was for emergencies only (which is a very smart rule). I found the ride to be not that comfortable, especially for a trip that long. My girlfriend found it way too bumpy and claustrophobic that she got motion sickness (which, to be fair, she gets on cruise ships also). We got off the bus at rest stops to use the restroom and stretch about every two hours minimum. When we opted to not take the optional tour in San Francisco (we were the only party to do so), we had to walk about 30 minutes to the bus pick-up location, which would have been about a $10 or less Uber ride. We decided to walk because we wanted to explore anyways (which we had over 6 hours to do so). At the end when the bus got to Los Angeles, we had to switch buses to go back to where we got picked up. No problems there.
Itinerary: The itinerary was pretty decent. The stop in Santa Barbara was kind of a waste in my opinion, as I didn't like it there. It was a good bathroom spot and the tour guide gave us only enough time to walk around for a bit, take a few pictures, and use the restroom.
Solvang was nice. Definitely a good spot. Enjoyed the Danish food and looking at the Danish style buildings (though the buildings opted for more lazy options as opposed to keeping it exactly the same). The stores weren't that great but there was this one store with Danish candies and cheeses that was pretty cool. Apparently, this town is one of the top producers of wine so there are a lot of wine tasting establishments.
Stanford was okay. It was a nice school with cool architecture but was kind of a waste of time in my opinion. Definitely not worth the mandatory fee where we pretty much just got to walk around on our own.
San Francisco is definitely the highlight of the trip.
The Golden Gate Bridge was nice; we stopped at the beginning part where you can take picture of/with the bridge. You don't get to cross it though.
Fisherman's Wharf was an amazing place. The seafood there is so good. There were seals too which were super cute. A lot of trinket shops, so not much to do except look at scenery and eat.
The Palace of Fine Art was absolutely gorgeous. The Roman style structures were huge and beautiful. The lake is also pretty too. The museum inside isn't really worth any time though.
The cable cars were a really cool experience. You can hang from a bar on the outside of the car. Definitely an experience to try, but it's not like a highlight of the trip, just something iconic of San Francisco.
Lombard Street was a nice sight, another cool tourist attraction. It was pretty and clean.
Union Square was pretty cool. The shops around it are amazingly huge. Had an awesome time there. We walked for about 30 minutes to get here from Fisherman's Wharf and stopped to get boba on the way.
San Francisco Chinatown was an interesting place. It was very dirty and crowded. Didn't get to spend much time there though. We pretty much walked through it on the way to Union Square as we didn't see anything very interesting. A lot of grocery stores and herb stores. I may not be giving it a fair chance as I didn't really research it and was not with the tour guide as I went through it. Went back to it later when going back to the bus after visiting Union Square (15 minute walk) and got food from a Chinese restaurant. My girlfriend had terrible food poisoning that night so I would suggest trying to avoid dirty restaurants if you don't have a strong stomach like I do. I suggest just Yelping a place and go for at least 3.5 stars or somewhere that looks super clean (which is hard in Chinatown).
I didn't go on the San Francisco Bay Cruise, nor the Extensive San Francisco Tour, so I can't really talk about those.
Yosemite was pretty much blasted through. We stopped to look at El Capitan for about 15 minutes. We stopped for Yosemite Falls for about 45 minutes. Yosemite Falls was probably the highlight. Tunnel view was a nice sight. We actually skipped the Half Dome or maybe we drove past it and I didn't really take notice of it.
TLDR: Tour guide was very good. Spoke mainly Chinese. Minor gripe is he slightly pressured me into getting optional package ($68/person). Accommodation was decent. Got money's worth, Doubletree way better than Holiday Inn Express at San Francisco. Transportation was kind of uncomfortable, rough, claustrophobic but you get what you pay for. The itinerary was good. Solvang, Fisherman's Wharf, Palace of Fine Art, Union Square were good places. Some places were waste of time. Yosemite was rushed through.
All-in-all: pretty good deal; good for college students budget; would probably just pay more for a more luxurious bus, rent a car, or fly next time.
We took 3 day San Francisco tour from Los Angeles and back to Los Angeles... it was really wonderful experience... the driver and tour guide Eva was really caring... Eva has limited English knowledge but she managed to assist us... the negative things are there are gaps in communication with the tour agency, TakeTours and the actual operator.. like the tour actual itinerary timings...first day we reached hotel at 8:30pm and next day we were forced to check out at 6:00am... and the same next day check in 9:00pm and check out early morning 5:00am... this was really tough....I suppose we should have gotten more time to relax... also still now I don't understand why they stopped at Santa Monica pier... there is nothing other than toilets..San Francisco city extensive tour is useless and a waste of money..
Well, what a fantastic time we had! My brother came to visit me from Wales. He planned to go to San Francisco to visit our cousin. I knew a return flight would be approximately $200.00 so I looked into cheaper modes of transport and came upon TakeTours website. The 3 day tour is for $140.00 and the third person is free!! How could we pass that up? And what a tour it was. We had a fantastic driver/guide, Alex. Impeccable driving, felt very safe. Great group of people on the tour with us. Just an all around really really great experience. I would urge anyone who's just looking to get out of Los Angeles for a few days to take this tour. You won't regret it. :D
We took the 3 day San Francisco tour from December 26, 2014 to December 28, 2014, and it was amazing!! It was guided by Mr. Tery. This tour is a good value for your money, very satisfied with hotel accommodation and it covered a lot of places in given time. It was a perfect trip and everything was organized very well. The hotel was very nice as well as all the sightseeing locations. Mr Tery was explaining in both Chinese and English on every viewpoint clearly. We really enjoyed this tour. We will definitely recommend this to our friends.
Surely, I would recommend this to my friends. I love the tour trip, in fact, this is my second time with my husband, he has not gone there before. One thing we missed seeing is the waterfalls in Yosemite, when we arrived it was dark already. The tour is affordable and the accommodation is okay. Norman our tour guide is pleasant and has lots of information to share.
For this Christmas I would book again for my nieces as my Christmas gift. It would be a worthwhile & memorable experience for them too!!!
I booked the San Francisco tour for my parents and my aunt who are visiting the United States. They all had a great time during the trip. They commented that the tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable about the places that they were traveling. I am also glad that I do not need to take days off from my work to accompany them for the trip. It is very safe and convenient tour. I will highly recommend TakeTours.com for future trips.
We took the 3 day San Francisco tour and it was really amazing. The accommodation was really really good. This tour is worth every penny you pay for. Will be looking forward for more tours with TakeTours. :)
Overall, the tour was very good and I definitely recommend it. The tour bus was comfortable and we could charge our phone. The tour guide was very caring and he taught me how to walk around in San Francisco during the free time. The Bay Cruise was not worth it when the weather was foggy and it took too long. The hotels were very nice and comfortable even with this cheap price.
Our tour company and tour guide, Harry are highly organized and professional. We are well taken care of during the whole process. The itinerary was delivered as described. The bus is okay although no charging sockets, and air conditioner in the backseat area is bit weak. The hotel accommodation is wonderful. Overall I highly recommend this trip for those who want a weekend getaway with no-hassle on getting from Los Angeles to Slovang, to San Francisco, to Yosemite. A good value for your money.
It would be better if we were brought to the Santa Barbara Old Mission instead of the pier. More time should be given to the Yosemite part of the tour and optional tours should not be offered within a tour. Instead, more time should be given to the more interesting part of the tour. The tour is still good especially for the price. Thanks to the tour guide for managing the time well, and most importantly the bus driver for safely bringing us to the sights.
We were very happy with this trip. Decent and clean hotel away from the rush of the city. Professional handling, covered all items promised. Punctual execution of the itinerary. The locations chosen were very good.
Very highly recommended. The tour guide, Ariel, was awesome and we had a blast the whole way. The accommodation at Marriott Silicon Valley was top notch. My personal opinion is that this tour was unbeatable at the price they offered!
We went on this tour this weekend and it was well organized, and they gave right duration of time at every location. It was a foggy day in San Francisco. The extended tour for extra $25 was not worth it, but we covered lot of places like the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, the Civic Center, Twin Peaks, Pier 39.
The bay cruise was good. The tour guide recommended to cancel the Yosemite part due to bad weather, but we insisted and went there to find pleasant climate. There was a lot of steep or hilly ground to cover, better to take this instead of driving yourself which would be too hectic.
Rooms were very good and clean but there was no wi-fi or free breakfast included. No wi-fi on bus either. No free buffets included unlike Las Vegas trip.
I loved this tour! It was perfect for me as I was traveling alone- there were activities to do all day long. Larry, our tour guide, was very organized, helpful, and a fun person! The hotels were very nice too! I'm looking forward to planning my next trip.
Memorable experience. Definitely recommended for those willing to learn the history behind the tour sites (Solvang, Golden Bridge, Yosemite and more...). I will recommend the tour guide, Will...he's funny and well informed on the tour sites and locations.
The tour was organized by a TakeTours partner. It was definitely a good choice for those who have limitation with driving. Hotel (Four Points by Sheraton) accommodation and tour were absolutely fine. We visited almost all places as per itinerary (of course, hectic). We felt SAFE, COMFORTABLE and ECONOMICAL. Finally, it was worth the money.
This was a great tour that I would recommend. It allowed you to explore and enjoy San Francisco area in such a short period of time. The tour guide was funny during the long distance travel, and he arranged for meal stops with variety of choices for all passengers. It was a great tour!
The tour guide Will was really good funny and very respectful! The tour bus was from Golden International. The itinerary was a bit rushed not recommended for a family with small kids. Otherwise the tour was good.
I loved that this tour lets you see so much in just a few days. It is well worth the money! I absolutely LOVED San Francisco, I hadn't been there for over six years and it was so nice to visit it again. Yosemite was totally unbelievable nice it looked like something out of a movie. I cant wait to plan my next trip with this company, I know my family and I will have a blast!!!
It was an amazing trip, our tour guide Michael and bus driver Carlos were so professional. We got the chance to cover everything with the right amount of time. The hotel was nice, everything was well organized. I definitely will recommend it to all my friends and I am going to take my parents soon. Thank you for making it so affordable, interesting, educational and fun.
I took this tour in January 2012 and enjoyed San Francisco the most-the steep streets, vibrant buildings, and colorful characters. At Fisherman's Wharf, check out the sourdough bread creatures at Boudin Bakery. The sparkling SF skyline at sunset from Treasure Island is truly a calendar-picture worthy view. We ate dinner at asian buffets most days. Our tour guide Mark was friendly, engaging, and very patient. Thank you for this interesting experience!
I love how they have reversed the itinerary (Yosemite first, then SFO, then Solvang-Santa Barbara on the 3rd day). This has given us more time to explore Yosemite on the first day of the tour. We stayed at The Hilton hotel for 2 consecutive nights, which is another great thing. Only downside to this new itinerary was how they had to switch us to a new bus on the 3rd day, and we were stuck in LA for hours waiting for the new bus. It was a very confusing time, as we all had to get to the new bus with other passengers from the other buses, and it was NOT AT ALL COMMUNICATED to us by the Tour Guide, Hank (He sort of "stopped" explaining in English after collecting the service charge of $18/person). But over all, it was a great tour, you cannot beat the price for everything that you get (transportation, tour and hotel).
This tour is very awesome. Our first stop was at Santa Barbara where I recommend Mr. Yan as a tour guide because he is a gentleman. The next stop is to see the Danish style architecture which is like being in Europe. Our accommodation was at a nice Hilton. I like San Franciso for its buidlings and Yosemite for its natural rock formations. The itineray is awesome.
We have so much fun and all the places are wonderful. This is Smart tour and Mr.Yang tour guide he is has a lot of experiances and friendly and he spoke English and Chinese very clear. The driver very good and polite.
I went on a tour guided by Ms. Lily to San Francisco on may 26, 2013 , It was a perfect trip and everything was organized very well. The hotel was very nice as well as all the sightseeing locations. Ms Lily was explaining in both Chinese and English on every viewpoint clearly. Thank you so much for giving me this experience.
This tour is value for money and it covered lot of places in given time.
Our guide was just awesome!!Loved him:)
Only thing, less time was given at each spot. I suggest taketours to also design tours with similar itinerary with more relaxed timings. So people can choose accordingly. Also it will be great to have time given at each stop mentioned in website info.
