My husband and I took this 7 days tour from Los Angeles. We visited 8 states in 7 days. It was well worth the trip. Both of us really enjoyed sightseeing and beautiful landscape of America. Nice bus rides from a good driver and a nice tour guide.
We enjoyed our trip. Our Captain Mr. Alex & Guide Vince Wang were nice and friendly. If we had 1 more day for Yellowstone park that would have been better. I suggest canceling the Las Vegas day and adding that day to Yellowstone park. Before we visit the place, the guide gave us information and history of the place. Hotels & Inns were not super, but those were okay. Every 2-3 hrs they stopped the bus at a Rest Area or supermarket area so we can use the restroom. No one used the restroom on the bus, so everyone was happy. All the families were good and friendly with each other and especially our captain and guide were so nice. We will "Take a Tour" again for our trips.
I have no words to say except that the tour is well organized. The places that we visited was well worth the price considering the distances of the point of interest. The hotels that we stayed in different places was great except for the first day but its okay because it was only hours that we slept in before we prepared for the next itinerary. All passengers in this group tour , well I can only speak for my group but I'm sure they have nothing to say cause I don't understand them because they talk in chinese but its okay because all of us have one thing in common and that is to enjoy, be mesmerize the beautiful places of America. At the end of the tour we had really a moment of bonding time although we were all together for 7 days was we had a singing session in the bus on the way to Las Vegas and everyone had a good time and I should say that culminates our journey. Our tour guide Matthew is wonderful and he made sure that we made a stop every 2 hours for bathroom privileges. Overall my experience along with my group was excellent and I'm sure that we will be taking more tours from this company in the future.
The trip was wonderful because the itinerary covered a number of great sites with awesome scenery. Most of all it is worth paying. However, to improve your service which has nothing to do with the tour itinerary; we have some suggestion for you to consider:
There is a toilet in the bus but it is always locked and were told that it is out of order. We assume the driver and guide do not like to clean the used toilet. However, there were 2 incidents happened during our journey:
1st Incident: A lady asked to stop for toilet as she cannot hold any longer. The guide was nice to let her go down at the nearest gas station.
2nd Incident: On the last day of our tour, another lady asked the guide to stop the bus immediately as she needs to do her business somewhere in the bush but our guide refused and let her wait for 15-20 minutes in order to reach the gas station. It was lucky that the lady did not dirty the bus.
Our suggestion: The toilet in the bus must be ready for an urgent case. The guide can inform the clients that it is used for an emergency case only.
We read through all the feedback and seemed like no one has bad impression on the guide. In general, our guide is good enough but sometime he spoke bad word to customer. For eg.
We refer to the 1st toilet incident. After a lady went down there were 2 other people also wanted to go down. The guide let go 2 people. When the 3rd person who was an old lady wants to get down, the guide told the bus to close the door. When an old lady asked the driver to open the door, the guide asked why you want to go down. The lady said I need to go to toilet. The guide said “No”. So the lady had to beg him by saying “Please, I’m urgent”. So the guide let her go but spoke to her with an unpleasant tone that “You better hurry up?”¯
Our point of view : This was the guide’s mistake because upon he let go the 1st lady he did not speak through the microphone telling other clients that this is an emergency stop for one lady to go down. So people sitting far back thought that they are ok to go to toilet. This incident will never happen if only the guide advise the clients.
One Chinese man was 10 minutes late. The guide was worried that we cannot catch up with the rest of the itinerary. So when a man was back to the bus, the guide spoke in Mandarin : “you are not wasting only your time but you are wasting other people time.”¯ Oh my God! Why he was so rude. We agree that the Chinese man is wrong but we still have many other words in saying. We are certain that the rest of the customer sitting in the bus felt the same way.
Had read lot of bad reviews and was apprehensive to take this family trip with two kids. There are some rules laid down at the onset which you need to follow and you realize why at a later date. That's all! Everything else is taken care of. Covering 700 plus miles on certain days and having being to be at certain places at certain times takes lot of logistics, and it had been perfectly executed - hotels are decent and the guide makes sure you get toilet/stretch breaks at regular intervals. The guide explains in Chinese and English and you can always question if you are in doubt. Whatever is written in the tour offer is followed - I guess some people overlook the same, especially the service charge. For the area and places covered in such a short time, it's an amazing tour at this price. I do not think any other operator does this, as during our whole tour we saw only this company's buses.
My friend and I took the 7-day tour to the locations above. Overall, we had a fantastic experience, and saw a huge diversity in the landscapes, states, and natural wonders we traveled through.
The tour operator is a Chinese-operated company that caters to tourists from both Mainland China as well as other countries, and therefore places importance on explaining things comprehensively in both Mandarin and English.
Our tour guide (Ken) and driver (Paul) were each very friendly, helpful, and professional. The accommodation was also much better than we had expected for the price we'd paid.
As this was a budget tour crossing vast distances, this meant certain compromises. Firstly, the individual time we could spend in some places was perhaps shorter than we'd have liked, however this is completely understandable given the busy schedule. Secondly, quite a few of the meals had to be at cheaper Asian buffets, again this is understandable given the budget.
So overall, I would definitely recommend this tour; you get to see a fantastic selection of America's rugged beauty, at a very reasonable price.
This tour, code 773-402, has opened my eyes to the beauty and wonders of America. Awesome sights to behold and an experience of a lifetime. One word to describe it, "PRICELESS".
Employees are very courteous and professional. Always willing to help and treat everybody with dignity and respect.
Overall, it's worth it, in fact much better than I expected. And I am glad I did it.
My wife and I enjoyed this 7 days trip from Los Angeles, California to South Dakota, (Mount Rushmore). The scenery was all nature-made... The tour director (John Wang) was very accommodating and always concerned with the safety and comfort of the passengers...We had a very knowledgeable bus driver (Tony) and was very courteous...Both of these guys are assets to the tour company...
This tour was wonderful, you can enjoy the beautiful of the different place visited. The tour guide "Leo" was very nice and explained in English as well in Chinese language. The time was well organize, We have enough time for eat and stay in the places we can appreciate the wonderful of the creation of our God. also all the Hotels was so pretty and great and of course we have to get up early to go the different place every day. This trip was so amazing. you need to go I high recommended, Thank you
We just got back from 7 day tour- Yellowstone/Mt Rushmore code 773-402, 7/12-7/18. Bus broke down 2 times with poor air-condition. Our sleep time were cut short. We did arrived to all National Parks. Two hotels we stayed were old with no hot water or either poor air-condition. Overall it was fun and we will go again for a short tour.
The itinerary was great, we have a good and efficient driver and kevin our tour guide was helpful as well. we had a great time, our batch was always on time.
The only thing we did not like was Days Inn Ogden, UT. It's filthy.
Overall i would recommend this tour.
My husband and I had enjoyed this tour. We get to go to the famous National Parks and different states in the US in 7 days! The scenery along the way is breathtaking and simply relaxing. Our tour guide Tim has been helpful and very knowledgeable. He made sure we were well informed and his instructions were very clear all the time. Most of the hotels we stayed at were standard/decent so we felt safe and slept through those nights. I particularly liked the one in Utah (Fairfield Inn and Suites - Marriot)and the Cabin in the woods in Yellowstone. I love every stop we had. You can choose from a variety of restaurants if you wanted burgers or chinese food. Although the tour was Bilingual, the tour guide Tim speaks very good English and we did not feel left out. Overall the tour was really great and although we spent hours sitting in the bus til our next stop, we did not feel bored at all because we were kept entertained by our tour guide and the movies played as well as the scenery. You could really tell the difference between each state by the different scenery/views you see during the travel. I would love to do another tour with SeaGull again in the future!
We just got back from 7 day tour- Yellowstone/Mt Rushmore code 773-402. Me, my friend, and my husband went. It was a very nice trip. Our tour guide Mark Mang and Driver Joe were great. They took care of their customers and made sure we were ok. We learned a lot and had some fun, we made new friends from the tours. I will recommend this tour to my friends and coworkers. With this price, what can we ask for, it is soooo worth it. Kudos to Mark Mang and Joe. Thanks.
very exciting and enjoyable tour. We got our money's worth, days are maximized and schedule well coordinated. Thank you to our guide Tim for being nice, patient and helpful. wish to have a smooth driver to have a relaxing ride next time.my companions did'nt like Appletree and Dude motels, and also waiting time for bus breakdowns to finish process.
My family took the 7 day trip current tour code: 773-402. The trip was definitely worth it and I highly recommend for anybody who wishes to see the amazing landscape of the West. At times it seemed there was a rush and limited leisure time, but given the amount of destinations this was justified and perfectly acceptable. Our Tour guide Zack was very knowledgeable and informative everywhere we went. I would like to mention an issue that I saw on a previous comment that I agree with 100%, anytime the bus would stop and we would De-board, or wait in line to eat, or just about any situation that required lined patience, people would cut, push into, or actually slam right into me and my family to get up front of whatever was going on at that moment. I realize this is acceptable in some countries, but NOT THIS ONE! understand common courtesy and act civilized while visiting this beautiful country and please hold off rudeness until you get home. The tour guides did stress patience and respect, so I don't fault the tour, only a group of people. overall great trip, THANK YOU TakeTours!
I think this package trip is really worth it. I went with 2 of my friends so we really had a great deal (buy 2 get 3rd free). The places you go on this trip are breath-taking! -- especially at Yellowstone National Park and Mount Rushmore. I think these are one of the many places you have to see in your lifetime! The hotels/inn we stayed at were really nice and comfortable, especially the one in Denver Colorado, where we checked in at the Courtyard Marriott. The only inn that I did not like was the Yellowstone Country Inn at Montana because of the cleanliness of the room. Overall, the places we stayed at are very clean and accommodating! In addition, our tour guide, Frank, was really nice and approachable during the trip. He also made the trip more fun by making jokes from time to time. He was also very informative about the whole sightseeing experience. My friends and I were really grateful that we had him as our tour guide because he was very organized and knew what he's doing! Even though 90% of the travelers were Chinese, he made us feel welcome (since we're not Chinese) and made sure he explained things both in English and Chinese. Frank's hard work and humor made the long hours in the bus better. I really recommend this trip especially for those who love adventures and do not want to spend too much money! My friends and I had a really awesome time and we would love to do this again in the future!
We just came back from our 7 days trip to Yellowstone. The trip was wonderful. We got to see many wonderful sights and we got to pass through 9 states. The crowd on our bus helped ade the trip more comfortable because everyone observe common courtesy. The only reason why I am not giving 5 stars is because of our stay in Richfield at Appe Tree. It wasn't good! I stayed with my two young kids, and we had to put a chair and all of our suit cases against the door for security. We felt unsafe!!!! We are looking forward to booking another tour for next summer for the east coast tour
My family took this amazing 7 day tour to Yellowstone. We enjoyed a nice view of the 9 states we traveled through. Yellowstone,Crazy Horse,Bear Country, and Mount Rushmore were all spectular. However, the tour guide only gave us an hour in Mount Rushmore which is NOT ENOUGH TIME.The Motel in Richfield, Utah was a cheap old crap motel that they provided. On the bright side we ended up in a suite to enjoy. Plus, the other motel in Yellowstone was a bit better. MAKE SURE TO BRING EXTRA BED SHEETS JUST IN CASE. Other hotels were great and decent. Tim, our tour guide, was incredibly nice and helpful. We also rotate seats so eveverybody gets to sit in the front for one day. One problem is that they ALWAYS stop at chinese buffets, but there's always American fast food around the area. Plus, the bus stops every 2 hours to go to the restroom. Make sure to be off the bus first because there is always a LONG line for the restroom and that includes MEN AND WOMEN. This tour was a very exciting vacation and we would like to book another tour with GotoBus.
My family and I, including our family friends (10 of us in all) took the 7 day bus trip to Arches National Park, Crazy Horse Memorial, Mount Rushmore, Bear Country, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and Salt Lake City ending in Las Vegas. It was a wonderful experience! It was our first time ever taking a bus trip and it was truly enjoyable. We were fortunate enough to have a wonderful tour guide, Zachary Zhang, who was very friendly, very knowledgable, and very accommodating to our needs. For all the destinations and hotel accommodations, it was a very affordable price! All the views and parks were breathtakingly beautiful and it was nice to drive through the country and see sights different from the usual Los Angeles surroundings. Even though the bus drives were long, the frequent stops for bathroom breaks made it bearable. I would definitely recommend this trip to my family and friends!
This is one of my best trips. Well organized, and settled. Everything is great. The scenery are excellent.I would like to recommend to my families and friends (actually i already did). BTW, the guide (Zac) is also very very nice too.
We took the 6 days LV to Yellowstone, Mt Rushmore, Arches Tour package(tour code 773-402 It was a very long bus trip as expected but the driver was excellent and the tour guide Leslie is awesome. The Courtyard Hotel in Denver, Yellowstone Park Hotel, and Stratosphere in LV were excellent. However, the Appletree Inn in Richfield is barely 2 stars, the Hotel in Denver is much acceptable, and Days Inn and White Buffalo were 2 stars. We understood that the trip is long and tiring. Majority of the people in our bus did not observe common courtesy in getting off the bus and jockeyed/jostled to get off before the people in front of them had a chance to get up. Some say that behavior is normal in their country, but common courtesy is universal and should be observed everywhere. The tour guide always remind the people to be on time, but they are always late.the tour guide should instruct the people about the cleanliness of the bus but still leave their trust on their seats, very inconsiderate members of the tour. but overall the trip is wonderful and we had fun and met new friends and we enjoyed the scenery. very recommendable to friends and family.
Good value. Covers a lot of ground, passing thru 9 states. Gives good coverage of Yellowstone, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Salt Lake City. Might have been more enjoyable if it could be one day longer, but really quite OK as is. Henry was the best bus driver ever (safe and smooth driving) and our guide Leslie Lee was excellent, competent in every respect.
We came back from our 7 days tour from LA to Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, last nite, and our experience was great. Our tour guide, Leslie Lee, was very professional and accommodating. He made our trip exciting with lots of info. I recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to see Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone because it takes off the hassle of getting lost or the best part, not driving to get there. You also get to enjoy the company of other fun loving folks along the trip. Best of all, you see Gods wonderful creation and enjoy them for the rest of your life. Thanks for an exciting time.
Our guide Sinon is very experienced and the whole trip went very smoothly. We appreciate that he stopped at places which i don't think others did.
The trip have a great mix from India, China, Taiwan, Europe. The guide's English is so-so (of Chinese background) which some English tourists have difficulty understanding. This is common for such tour group.
Overall, its a pleasant trip, a lot of traveling on bus, which is understandable since it covers a wide range/places. I enjoy seeing the nature in this trip, its a good tour
We just got back from the Yellowstone Tour, excellent, we covered a lot of ground in 7 days and Zach Zheng the tour driver was very good and kept the tour in a happy mood despite de early hours and constant rush. As every tour were you gather 60 people fromn different nationalities there are always individuals who lacked de consideration and social manners needed for this kind of experience. On and all and for the price of the trip is was a positive experience.
I took the trip on 11 June 2011, the view was fantastic, especially in yellowstone.Average Hotel is allright, except appletree motel in Richfield was worse motel than ever I stayed ( room was smelly). Our tour Guide,Zac Cheng, was unprofessional as he didn't reshuffle the seat fairly ( I got baby and not in prioritize)as he only focus on chinesse customer and give priority seating to young chinesse girl in the front row. Also, tour guide pretend to forget to give your money back (your change) once you pay admission fee as it happen twice to me and I have to ask my money back for the next day. Driver was extremelly tired at the 1st day tour as it took more 12 hours from LA to Richfield, as I believe it may induce traffic accident in the future.
Although my cousin from France doesn't understand Roger's Cantonese accent that well, I was ok with it. Did see lots of things in Yellowstone that I missed when I did a self tour last August, like the upper part of Mammoth springs, and waterfall in Yellowstone. One thing that this tour has is the amount of places you get to see. But I guess is understandable that most people cannot or would not want to walk Yellowstone more. I was lucky to see more of Geyser basin on my last personal tour. Other than that, I think the tour is pretty cool. I like the fact that Roger gives us plenty of time to rest up at night and do our little self tour. Not too stressful. I especially like the part when we all self introduce ourselves and got to know more about our fellow travelers
Fantastic trip. Lots of wonderful places to visit. Bus driver and tour guide were extremely friendly and the hotels were all clean and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone and look forward to taking another tour soon!
We took the 7 day LA/LV to Yellowstone, Mt Rushmore, Arches Tour package(tour code MR-B) Oct 25-Nov 1, 2010. It was a very long bus trip as expected but the driver(Danny) was excellent. The Courtyard Hotel in Denver, Yellowstone Park Hotel, and Stratosphere in LV were excellent. However, the Appletree Inn in Richfield, Franklin Hotel in Deadwood, and Days Inn in Ogden were barely 2 stars. We understood that the schedule was very tight but did'nt realize we will be rushed most of the time. Majority of the people in our bus did not observe common courtesy in getting off the bus and jockeyed/jostled to get off before the people in front of them had a chance to get up. Some say that behavior is normal in their country, but common courtesy is universal and should be observed everywhere. The tour guide should instruct the people about the proper way to ensure safe disembarking. This problem became worse when tour groups had to be reshuffled to different buses in Barstow and again in Rowland Hills because of a bus breakdown somewhere. My wife got shoved and hurt by people rushing behind her into the edge of a seat backrest and I had to control myself from getting into a fight. It was worse getting off the bus in Anaheim because there was a woman yelling to let her by when people in front were still trying to get stuff from the overhead bin. The tour guide did not make it better by telling people to let her by instead of telling her to be patient. The bus driver from Barstow to Rowland hills was talking on his handheld cell instead of a bluetooth while driving in heavy traffic and rain. Recommend taking shorter tours.
My wife, a friend and myself, all Australian Citizens took two Gotobus tours, one to Grand Canyon and the other to Yellowstone National Park. As we did not know anything about the company or tours, we had reservations as we have heard people being duped by companies through the Internet.
We returned to Sydney today, and it is without any reservation we recommend Gotobus tours, and Customer Service Officer, Railing, who led us through all the reservations. Our grateful thanks are due to you!
About the trips, we expected marginal accommodation and were surprised at the 4 and 5 star accommodation we received. The bus Captains were highly skilled and we were surprised at the knowledge Tour Managers had of the sites and areas. When I questioned Roger, he said that he did a MBA in USA. That speaks volumes on the quality of the tour and content. We are very happy, and Thank God for guiding us to such good people (By the way our first trip to USA), and we are already talking about the tours with other friends.
We will always recommend Gotobus to anyone in need of a good and high quality tour at low cost.
This trip was wonderful for me and my daughter. The itinerary was great, the scenery was awesome, and the driver and tour guide were very pleasant and considerate. I would definitely recommend this tour and will consider a similar trip next year.
The trip was nothing but peace of mind, relaxing and comforting. From the driver to our tour guide, Vicky Sun, they are both very respectful of our needs. I will highly recommend GotoBus tours to my relatives and friends. To let you know more, its my second trip with your company this year. Rest assured, next trip I will not hesitate to go with a GotoBus tour!
Wonderful tour experience, my friend and I enjoyed the tour soooo much. Our tour director Roger Ip did a great job of taking us to the best parts of our destination. He is knowledgeable and funny, but he owed me lunch for the question that I was able to answer. The bus is clean and comfortable, our driver Jason knows his stuff well, although he can use some gentle manners. We had a tour guide trainee who did a good job too. The hotel accomodations are great considering the price we paid for the tour. I recommended this tour to several friends already. We were blessed with a lot of good and fun people in our tour. It is one unforgettable experience for us, and will do it again sometime.
Your tour was really an enjoyable one though hectic.Yet we fail to stop at Little Big Horn Reservation where Dances of Wolves was filmed which we anticipated. Thanks to the able guiding of TG Mark and driver all others were adequately covered. More power.
7-day LA/LV to Yellowstone,Mt Rushmore,Arches (Start May22-to 28-2010)Yellowstone is amazing its beautiful, just everywhere you look you see all different sites,I'd recommend this experience to anyone. Thanks our guide-Mark and driver-J. Mark made the trip very interesting. Thanks
I returned last night from a 7 day trip starting in LA, going to Yellowstone, MT. Rushmore, etc. etc. (bus 1198) Quick trip and alot to see. I enjoyed the trip, due to the hard work of our guide-Mark and driver-Lin. Mark made the trip interesting as with all of the facts he told us as well as making the long hours on the road bearable. Thanks to Mark and Lin.
