DAY1  Los Angeles - Monterey Bay - San Francisco (440 miles)

We will kick off our tour at 8:00 am and head first to the famous 17-Mile Drive along Monterey Bay, from the untouched beaches of Pacific Grove, famous breeding ground of the monarch butterfly, to the small town of Carmel-by-the-Sea, with its white sand beaches and picturesque landscape. At the end of our scenic drive around 5:00 pm, we will arrive in San Francisco, greeted by the Golden Gate Bridge and other spectacular sights as we enter one of the largest cities in California. We will spend the night in one of the nearby cities.

DAY2 San Francisco - Sacramento - Reno (221 miles)

Today we will begin with a tour of San Francisco, first visiting the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge, the iconic international symbol of San Francisco. From there we will move on to Fisherman's Wharf, the historic base of San Francisco’s fishing fleet, and the enormous Oakland Bay Bridge. After this, join us aboard a San Francisco Bay Cruise,* from which we will have a stunning view of the city from the water. Finally, our tour of San Francisco would not be complete without a visit to the city’s Chinatown, the oldest and largest Chinatown in North America. In the afternoon, we will leave San Francisco, passing through Sacramento on a four hour drive to Reno, Nevada, where we will spend the night enjoying the city’s attractions. One of the largest cities in Nevada, Reno, like the more famous Las Vegas, is known for its casinos and thriving night life.

DAY3 Reno - Lake Tahoe - Fresno

This morning we will depart for the nearby Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America, seated in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Join us as we relax aboard a cruise* on the lake, known for its vast stretches of clear water and for its picturesque view of the surrounding mountains and forests. After our visit, we will embark on a five hour drive to the large city of Fresno in California, arriving in the evening.

DAY4 Sequoia - Los Angeles - Departure

Today, prepare to be awed by the sheer enormity of the world’s largest trees as we travel two hours from Fresno to Sequoia National Park, home to California’s legendary giant sequoia trees, including the General Sherman tree, the largest tree on earth. As we pass among the trees, their still, immense vitality will impress upon you the full power of nature. After lunch, we will conclude our tour and depart for Los Angeles, arriving in the evening after a 4.5 hour drive. Tour route may be changed or reversed.
