Day 1

Fall is the season that apples and many other fruits harvest. We will depart from New York City in the morning to take advantage of this, driving to Bishop's Orchard, a farm near New Haven, CT, for applepicking. After gathering all the apples we can carry, we will continue on our way to the Tanger Outlets for some discount shopping. Our final stop will be the Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, CT, before we return to New York City in the evening.

New Haven, CT

New Haven is a coastal city in the U.S. state of Connecticut. It is located on New Haven Harbor on the northern shore of Long Island Sound in New Haven County, Connecticut, and is part of the New York metropolitan area. Besides, New Haven is the home of Yale University.

Bishop's Orchards

Bishop's Orchards is a farm, market, and winery in Connecticut that allows visitors to pick their own fresh fruit. The grounds also include a large corn maze for in which visitors can get lost for a few hours.

Tanger Outlets

The Tanger Outlets in Westbrook offer the best shopping deals in the area, with brand name stores that include J. Crew, Levi's, Reebok, Old Navy, and Williams-Sonoma.

Mystic, CT

Mystic is a village in Groton and Stonington, Connecticut. According to the Mystic River Historical Society, the name "Mystic" is derived from the Pequot term "missi-tuk", describing a large river whose waters are driven into waves by tides or wind.

Mystic Aquarium

The Mystic Aquarium offers a unique zoological experience, the centerpiece of which is the massive outdoor pool that contains four beluga whales. This facility is also one of only four United States aquariums that hold Steller sea lions.

If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.

Some farm may charge additional admission fee.

A minimum of 10 passengers is required to form this tour, full refund will be issued if the tour cancelled.

Customers are held solely responsible for their own travel documents and/or visas if required.
Luggage: Each customer may bring on board one checked luggage plus one carry-on bag.
Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
This tour does not accept any City Pass or your own tickets for the attraction. Passengers who take this tour need to purchase admission tickets from tour escort upon arrival.

Confirmation

All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
15 days or more prior to departure - Free cancellation with full refund. Please reconfirm the penalty for the added hotel or flight ticket.
8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
Within 7 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.

It was a unique and nice experience to pick my apples fresh from trees. The trip was good but more time should given to Aquarium viewing, then the shopping. Overall, the tour was NICE!

SO NICE!!! We enjoyed this tour. The farm was so nice and we liked Aquarium a lot as well! I will totally do it again next year! We are still enjoying our delicious apples!
