Day 1

Today, we will drive to Long Island. First , visit the movies filmed site - Old Westbury Gardens, then the Lavender by the Bay, one of the largest lavender farms in the country. Our next stop will be Patty's Berries and Bunches, a flower garden where we will be able to see hard-working bees. Afterward, we will return to New York City.

Long Island, NY

A densely populated island off the East Coast of the United States, beginning at New York Harbor approximately 0.35 miles from Manhattan Island and extending eastward into the Atlantic Ocean.

Old Westbury Gardens

Old Westbury Gardens is the former estate of John Shaffer Phipps, heir to a U.S. Steel fortune, in Nassau County, New York at 71 Old Westbury Road in Old Westbury, New York.

Lavender by the Bay

This farm towards the far eastern end of Long island specialize, as the name would suggest, in lavender. Covering 72 acres in a lush, purple hue, the farm has been in operation for over 15 years.

Patty's Berries and Bunches

This pick-your-own berry farm delights all visitors. The available berries change from season to season, but all types are promised to be sweet and succulent.

If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.

All meals and drinks during the trip.
A mandatory service fees (Minimum $12.00/day per passenger ). This should be paid in cash.

Minimum 2 people required for the product.
City passes are not accepted during an escorted tour due to the fact that they do not correspond into the tour schedule. Guests need to purchase admission tickets from tour guides.
Itinerary may change without notice
Itineraries are subject to change due to the weather, transportation and other conditions, in order to provide the best experience for you.
In case of attraction closures (due to holidays or construction, etc.), tour guide may make some necessary changes to the itinerary accordingly.
Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.

Confirmation

All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
15 days or more prior to departure - Free cancellation with full refund.
8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
Within 7 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.

This was an amazing tour. The lavender fields were heavenly (catnip for humans). Old Westbury Gardens is well kept and a sight for sore eyes. Patties Berries and Bunches was a treat - we picked blueberries and raspberries and then cooled off with some home made icecream. If you love nature, this is the tour for you. Mason Jiang was a humble and caring tour guide. We would not have asked for a more perfect day trip.
