Excellent tour, our tour guide Emily Huang was outstanding
Exactly as others mentioned the Take tours is amazing. 2 days Niagara tour (22nd April & 23rd April) was very good, with nicely arranged and not missed a single attraction and they have also provided us sufficient times as well during the journey. Accommodation was also very good.
Special thanks to our Guide Olivia was very cordial and helpful and she guided the tourist with all possible options.
If you're looking for a bus tour from New York to Niagara, I'll highly recommend it.
I highly recommend this tour, the tour guide Jim is super awesome. he organized everything so well, everyone was on time and very enjoyable. I would book again n again. all the site seeing places were very good. would
We had an amazing trip! It was a lot of fun at the attractions. Maybe we could get another hour at the Corning museum, that is the only complaint (if i can call it one..). The museum is amazing, and we need time for shopping too!
Our tour guide LiDi was fantastic. She took all the steps to ensure we were thoroughly informed and aware of what we do. And her enthusiasm at helping people take pics was amazing. What she brought in was a cheerful enthusiasm which helps rid of the monotony on a long bus trip.
The accommodation provided was awesome! 5 min walk from the falls! What more could we ask for!
Overall a satisfying experienced
This trip was incredible! I only had two days off work and this really made the most of the two days. I was worried about how long the bus ride was going to be, but we stopped regularly and saw some incredible sight. On the first day we went to the hidden caverns which I loved-worth doing. Our accommodation was much nicer than I expected. We went in winter so the Maiden Mist was closed, but we did the jet boat ride instead. This was $61 which I thought was pricey so so worth it. It was the highlight for me. Our tour guide Allen was Awesome. We was very friendly and helpful, a blast to be with.
2 day Niagara Falls tour is really excellent. We enjoyed every moment of the tour. The bus was nice, the hotel was particularly very good. Our guide Jayant is a very nice, cordial and caring for all passengers. Jayant is very knowledgeable as well, he provided a lot of useful and historical information about the places we were travelling. I will highly recommend my friend to take this tour to Niagara fall.
I am so glad and lucky to find a tour to Niagara Falls during Thanksgiving holidays. My son came along with us for the first time and he did enjoy the tour, especially the Jet boat Adventure.
The tour guide was very nice and informative about the places we visited. She was kind, patient, and knowledgeable.
The hotel was located right at the Niagara Falls Observation Deck and we did not have to worry about the time to get back to the bus.
One thing I would recommended is to add or book a good restaurant around the town. I missed the real food and fast food is good for a while.
The whole experience was great and i am planning another tour in a different place during the winter holidays!!
Two days trip to Niagara, Wonderful experience and well organized with enough stops.
To spend enough time at main attraction which is Niagara falls (both night and day view), thundering water cultural show and imax movie is not recommended.
I Booked this tour Online and was afraid since i was alone that how will it go But right from the point i took the bus and return back to dropping point I did not felt my feeling earlier was incorrect. My Tour Guide Damon Tong was an great person,a friendly person and also helped to cover all the places on the right time. Bus condition good,Driving skills was awsome and the hotel stay was great more than expected.Just one addition in this iternary would be suggested is to add cave of the winds which was not there.all in all Will never forget this tour. Thanks a lot for all the Support And Yes Thanks Damon.
I booked the 2-day tour to Watkins Glen and the Niagara Falls as an ad on to a week in New York and I traveled with my granddaughter. It was very well organized. The bus journey was a long 8 hours but with ample shorter stops on the way. Watkins Glen was stunning in its autumn colors and a fabulous bonus on the trip. We had wonderful weather even in mid-October and the Falls showed themselves in all their magnificence.
The guide Caroline was a very informed guide who communicated well with the group, so we all knew what was happening at what times
I can absolutely recommend this trip.
My friend and I went on this trip a few weeks ago and we think it was a perfect trip! We are currently au pairs in the U.S. and are trying to travel as cheap as possible. TakeTours offers this cheap tour which is actually really great and way better than we thought since it is so cheap. Our tour-guide KK was a really nice guy and attempted to make as many jokes as possible. He answered our questions and helped us to have the perfect trip. We have met him in Chinatown from where we took the bus. The bus did not drive straight but stopped couple times for a break. It was awesome because that way you were able to go to the restrooms, get some fresh air or sometimes even food. Also, you can buy for 10$ a hike through the Watkins Glen State Park on your way to the Niagara Falls. We thought 10$ is too much because there is no fee for anything, but nevertheless, I really recommend to do it. It was so great! I have seen many parks in my life yet, but this one is definitely one of my favorites! After that break, we drove to the Niagara Falls. We arrived at a welcome center where you can have some dinner. It is expensive but fine. My friend and I went to the Niagara Falls, had some dinner and watched the show called Thundering Water Cultural Show later that day. It was about different dances and did not worth the money. It was a fun experience, but in our opinion really not as good to pay 25$ for. After that, we drove to a motel which was really awesome. We had a great night in Buffalo, but you need to know you have to get up early again the second day. We took the in-depth-tour for 25$ and saw the Old Fort Niagara and the Niagara Falls Whirlpool which were both really impressive. That's why I highly recommend it to you. Later that day, we took the famous boat called 'Maid of the Mist' and had a great view of the Niagara Falls, which I will never forget. This 18,50$ tour is definitely a must-have attraction of the tour!!! After that, we had some more time to eat lunch. Therefore we went to the Hard Rock Café where we had some really good lunch. To put it in a nutshell, a very exhausting, but really fun and awesome trip!
We booked TakeTours for the 2-day Niagra falls tour on the 8th and 9th of October 2016. Basically, we started a bit late from our source as there was a change in the departure location which was not notified to us earlier and also there was the Bus battery problem which took some time to resolve. But it was OK. Our tour guide was friendly and accommodating. We stopped at Watkins Glen State Park and it was magnificent! The hotel was very nice and the ride to and from was decent. The itinerary was a bit hectic with time slots for each attraction could be increased more. Overall, I would recommend TakeTours to anyone planning to visit the Niagara Falls.
We booked TakeTours for the 2-day Niagra falls tour on the 1st and 2nd of October 2016. Our tour guide was very entertaining, friendly and accommodating. We stopped at Watkins Glen State Park and it was magnificent! Then we visited Old Fort Niagara in the morning on the second day, and the Falls. It was perfect and beautiful. The hotel was very nice and the ride to and from was decent. The itinerary was bit hectic with time slots for each attraction could be increased more. Overall, I would highly recommend TakeTours to anyone planning to visit the Niagara Falls.
The Niagara tour was a fun experience for me and my two friends which was their first time. The side tours like the Watkins Glen State Park and the Old Fort Niagara were really interesting. Our tour guide, Jayant, did an amazing job. We learned some history from him.
Our tour guide was Kitty Liu. She is the kindest hearted and friendly person. The whole tour was well planned and executed. Starting from buying the tickets to booking hotels were all done very nicely and timely. All we had to do was reach there on time. As it is a group tour so timing is important. My parents are above sixty and on few occasions we were late, but our tour guide was very compassionate. We have thoroughly enjoyed the trip especially the “Maid of the Mist”. I highly recommend the Take Tours for Niagara Falls.
PS: The bus condition can be improved.
I had taken this tour on 13 September 2016. Our tour guide was Allen and he did a great job as a tour guide. It was a bilingual tour, but he cared the English guys as like the Chinese ones.As it takes 8 hours to reach either side, there was stop after 2 hours for restroom and drinks. The attractions are completely optional and can pay for the attractions you choose. First, we visited Watkins Glenn state park and it is not recommended for those who have knee and leg problems. But for those who choose to take up the attraction, get ready to walk 700 steps but the attraction was so good. it is recommended. the thundering water cultural show is not so recommended , so is the imax movie. We get to see the night view and day view as well. The hotel for stay was Holiday Inn and the stay was good. Second-day attractions are all recommended and must see. Allen had a great itinerary and our team was all punctual. The stops for food were good, as we had options for Chinese, American and Indian as well.
My tour guide was Dimon and he was good. He tried to continue our tour as possible as he could because it was raining at that time. The accommodation was better than I expected so I really appreciated that. The overall of the tour went well so I think I will travel with TakeTour again. :D
The tour guide Christine was very helpful. As a driver myself it hard to feel safe with anyone, but I felt safe with him. I enjoyed myself and so did my sister and friend. The only thing was that everything was done in a rush. It would have been nice to spend some quality time near the falls at night. Overall it was a great trip and the motel was clean and comfortable.
We were 7 people and booked 2 day Niagara tour for 3rd, 4th September.
We were more than happy with the entire tour. Our tour guide, Olivia Xie, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and made sure that we maximize our time and experience. She was great in managing, guiding the whole tour. The stay at the hotel was also good. We enjoyed a lot. I would highly recommend Take Tours for visiting Niagara falls.
PS - The condition of our bus was ok ok, not so excellent type.
We took 2-day Niagra falls trip. Our guide Suki was very friendly and professional combined with bus driver Mark was a perfect team. All along the trip they told in advance what we are going to do. It was a pleasant experience for me and my family. The trip was a bit rush through IMO because of the long traveling time (~8 hrs each way.)
the tour we take 0n 07/09 and 07/10 .Tony was our guide he was good. watkin state park is not for elders as it was very time cosuming. day 1 watkins and movie @ niagara. Day 2 niagara old fort and Maid of mist . above ALL MAID of MIST is good.
We booked TakeTours for the 2-day Niagra falls tour on the 5th and 6th of August 2016. I must say, we were more than happy with the entire experience. Our tour guide Zoe Liu was very friendly and helpful and made sure we maximize our time and experience. Even the bus driver Mike was very efficient and friendly and made sure our ride was as comfortable as possible. The accommodation provided exceeded our expectations. Overall, I would highly recommend TakeTours to anyone planning to visit the Niagara Falls.
Our tour guide was stone , very friendly and accommodating.
The idea of Day 1 Niagara falls by night was a great one , except would have preferred to reach a bit early to experience the night thoroughly.we reached Niagara fall by 5PM would have wished to reach by 4PM.
DAY 1 - reach Niagara by evening , skip everything at Niagara just opt for Maid of the Mist , then immediately check upon the crowd at the welcome center for the cave of the winds , do it if it's just 45mins wait time else skip it.enjoy your evening and night around Niagara falls and you would get plenty of time to take snaps.
Day 2 - opt for everything , don't miss Watkins glen park for sure.glass making museum is ok-dokie.
- Bus doesn't have charging points for drained out mobiles
- Day 1 would have preferred more time to explore Niagara in the night.
One needs to have in mind that guidance is bilingual, so it that bothers you, you should choose English only tour. As well guidance and transportation is outsourced, so Take Tours only sells this. We received communication from guide late night prior early morning start, so this should be improved. The guide was energetic, knowledgeable and tried really to keep on the schedule, however, we started 20 min late due to 2-4 late arriving guests the whole bus waited in the sun without AC turned on. Also if you don't pick optional activities you are left on your own, sometimes when everything rest is closed, so review this and skip activities where you can use the time differently.
All rest was good, great accommodation for this price point, very professional driver, internet on the bus, etc. So effective way to see Niagara from NY recommended, but have in mind this is long drive ;)
I, along with my sister and 2 friends, thought we were going straight to Niagara Falls. But along the way, we stopped at Watkins Glen State Park and it was magnificent! Then we visited Old Fort Niagara, and the Falls. It was perfect and beautiful. Perfectly beautiful! The hotel was very nice and the ride to and from was decent. FYI: no bathroom or wifi on the bus! And our tour guide really could've been more pleasant!
Took this tour over the 8/20 weekend. The tour was great. The tour guide Diana Wang was wonderful...giving us enough time to each attraction and providing information about the places we visited! I would recommend this tour to anybody looking for a quick getaway!
Highly recommend this tour. My tour guides, Allen and Jayant, were very well prepared with information and were very serviceable and accommodating. They were very organized and patient even when some of my fellow passengers were not as compliant. The itinerary was great: I really liked Watkins Glen. A word of caution though, if you're travelling with older adults or people with knee problems you should not do the Glen. One thing I wish for is more time for eating on the second day...however this was manageable. Overall, this tour is great.
We booked this Niagara Trip after my friend recommended to me and it was a great tour. We loved every bit of it. The tour operator Zoe Liu was extremely helpful, friendly and informative. The hotel where we stayed was above expectations. The itinerary was also good especially the Watkins Glenn and Old Niagra Fort. And the best part of the trip was Niagra Falls and the Maid of the Mist. It's a must have experience. I would recommend this tour to my friends and family.
Very nice tour and nicely organized. Special mention of Zoe Liu the tour guide. My dad is diabetic and has a heart condition. In the Watkins Glen park, she helped my dad to climb up and down stairs and accommodated us very nicely in the trip. She is a great tour guide and i highly recommend her.
Following are the events during July 30 - July 31, 2016
At the beginning, would like to mention that i have a Family of three (Husband, Wife, and 3-year-old Daughter Indian and recently immigrated to the US). I booked this trip in the last 2 days, so had to pay 135/ person, instead of 108, so the total came to 270 for three(buy2 get 1 free deal or toddler travel free deal). And at the beginning, the Guide informs us of the Attractions Entry fee and the Service charge to be paid by Cash only, which for us came to 212 USD (all attractions + service charge). Few instructions they give to us in the beginning:
1. Please make sure you are on time for reaching the bus to start the tour (6.30am), for seeing the attractions and also for meal / restroom breaks.
2. The Toilet in the bus will be closed (to be opened only for extremely urgent cases). As it gives out an unpleasant smell which will be very uncomfortable for the backseat passengers.
The bus was air-conditioned and full with passengers. We took a flushing starting point which comprised a 60% Indian, 30% Chinese and 10% rest. The guide gives us instructions in both English and Mandarin. A garbage bag is hung in the entrance of the bus for passenger's convenience. We started off from Flushing at 7.05 am. Day 1:
1. Our first Stop: Parsippany (Dunkin Donuts at 8.30am) Mini Breakfast - picked up 5 -10 more passengers. Had to buy some donuts to use the restroom and they check the receipts before they let you use their toilets. And when my wife went to use the restroom with the same receipt they told us that one purchase allows only one usage.
2. Second Stop: Burger King (after entering New York from Pennsylvania 11.30am) Lunch Time- they give us 30-40 minutes to complete our lunch and onto our first attraction.
3. Third Stop: Watkins Glen Park (If you have a kid, no strollers allowed, you can choose to opt out if you have elderly people in your group). It was a wonderful mini-trek of 1.3 Miles downhill with amazing views of waterfalls and flowing streams. The bus takes us uphill (restroom available uphill free) and waits for us downhill. This 1.15-hour trek is worth it (it was drizzling and the Crocs we wore were sometimes slipping) I had to carry my 3-year-old on my shoulders the entire duration. Downhill after we reach, there is a gift shop and our bus. The bus trip to our next attraction goes via the Finger Lakes nice view.
4. Third Stop (Planned for Maid of the Mist, but our tour company changed that as there was an hour long waiting time by Saturday evening) Old Fort Niagara. It was sunny by the time we reached and there is a mini show by an Actor playing olden-times British soldier. 1 hour stop. It was a clear day and we can see the Toronto Skyline (far off) next to the fort.
5. Fourth Stop: Whirlpool state park – A regular park, sort of seeing a deep pit with whirlpool waters at the bottom. The Canada side is pretty close – they have a cable car to get Canadian tourist close to the bottom.
6. Fifth Stop: Niagara Falls Night view. Stopped close to the Glass Building Food Court at 6.30pm crowded, long lines for the restrooms. Had Dinner (expensive and mediocre taste. we had a non-veg 14 USD and one plate 13 USD, the total bill of 32 (including tax)). The tour guide informed us prior that the hotel accommodation would not be giving any free breakfast (she said if we paid ourselves it would be expensive) and suggested us to take something with us as breakfast.
7. Sixth Stop: Thundering Storms dance show by Native Americans on the second floor of the Glass Building Food Court at 7.30pm.
8. Seventh Stop: Holiday Inn Downtown Buffalo for the night. Great for a family of three and the room had 2 queen beds, TV and coffee machine (enough supplies for 4 cups). The room is Wi-Fi enabled, but we just had a bath and went to sleep.
The tour guide informed us that we have to be downstairs in the hotel lobby by 7.45am and the hotel also gives us a wake-up call by 6.30am. We woke up at 6am and slowly started getting ready, packed our stuff and ate our breakfast (Me-one watermelon fruit cup, my wife one pineapple fruit cup and my daughter one watermelon fruit cup and 4 dollars each from the Niagara Falls Glass building food court). We were still hungry and ready early by 7.15 am so we went down to the Holiday Inn restaurant and ordered breakfast of one coffee, one waffle with maple syrup and a couple of pancakes altogether the breakfast bill came to 11 USD (which according to me is cheap). The bus started at 8 am sharp. Day 2:
1. First Stop: Niagara Falls State Park and Maid of the Mist, 9am - As soon as we got down, it started Raining and we all dashed for the visitor center for gaining access to the Maid of the Mists. The tour guide gives us tickets to the next attraction (IMAX show of the history of Niagara Falls which is at 10.15 am) The entire bus crowd wanted to go Maid of the Mist (even though it was raining only one family opted out as they had elderly people in their group). Running we went to the entrance of the observation deck ticketing booth and the condition is that tickets can only be issued to a tourist who has to be present in front of the cashier while collecting. Then running to the towards the elevator (long line) .There are 4 elevators with Park attendants helping us into each elevator. Once down at water level, we had a small tent which gives us the poncho blue color according to our size which is free for us to take with us after the ride. The Maid of the Mist trip was truly breathtaking. As we pass the American Falls, there is a significant mist which forms water droplets on our faces. My wife's makeup was ruined which we laughed away. Then as we reach the Main Horseshoe falls of the Niagara, the mist and view are really awesome. The Canadians also have a similar Maid of the Mist (their tourist wear a red poncho).
2. Second Stop: IMAX movie about Niagara at the visitor's center at 10.15 am. As we all are drenched by the previous rain, we make our way to the theater pretty big compared to the Visitor's center building. The Movie was ok and looks like it was made in the late 90's.
3. Then lunch at a nearby Indian restaurant (House of India – buffet for 14.50 per person).
4. Back to the Bus at 11.45am to our trip back to New York.
We made a couple of stops for restroom breaks and caught a significant bit of traffic just before entering New York City. Reached the same stop (starting point) by 8.45pm. Home by 9.15pm.
All in all a great experience – only con was the time duration at each stop.
Nice tour and good stay at Days Inn. Be prepared to take cash with you as most of the outside vendors near Niagara don't accept credit cards. Wish had more time at Watkins as it was difficult with small kids to walk down around 800 steps.
Our tour guide Jake Yang was amazing! He was very personable and knowlegable of all sites we visited. I went with my wife and her friend and we had one of the best trips ever and will definetly be coming again. I recommend this trip to everyone and to request Jake because he made our experience that much better. Thank you Jake! -Jon, Julia, Anya
This tour is worth it, very organized. Our tour guide Jake Yang speaks English very well so everybody understands everything and he tells every detail of the places we will be going and explain the history of it. The hotel is clean and bigger than what we are expecting because of the cheap price of this tour. So all in all this is a thumb up...and the driver is excellent too...
Jake Yiang is an excellent guide . All times was outstanding group, kept us well informed, the places we visited were excellent and provided the same explanation. I really recommend it as a group leader and guide . Excellent work, Jake.
It was my very first time traveling to Niagara Falls with my little sister. Apparently it is a Chinese organization that we traveled with. We both really liked our tour guide Jake Yang. He was funny and made the tour a very interesting and entertaining experience. We did our research beforehand which attractions to go for - that way you can actually save some money and use the free time to explore around just by yourself.
This tour made for a very pleasant trip to Niagara Falls. Our tour guide Emily was very sweet & helpful. I didn't realize how far it actually was to Niagara from NJ & so for an overnight trip I would highly recommend it, that way you are rested when you arrive. If you are departing from Parsippany there is overnight parking in front of the IHOP out by Rt. 46. I checked this with the local Police Dept. Anywhere else you could risk getting towed. Many buses stop @ this location to pick up other passengers, so your particular tour guide will be looking out for you & you may not be on the first bus that arrives. Also, be prepared because they try to sell you the attractions, so decide what you want to do first & have the cash on hand to pay for it. Many people didn't read the fine print & didn't understand this, they thought it was all inclusive. It is not. There is also an $8 per person per day mandatory fee for the driver & tour guide (They get $4 each)so be prepared with cash for that. I would highly recommend The Maid of the Mist boat tour it is awesome!! We really enjoyed Watkins Glen as well it was a nice break in the middle of the trip up. If you try to do all the attractions you won't have much time to spend @ the falls. We did only the 2 attractions mentioned above & had plenty of time to explore the falls. There is so much to see & do, there is no need on a 2 day trip to do everything they recommend (unless of course you like to tour that way). We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel was very clean, basic, but Comfortable. Also, you have to catch the bus @ 7:00 am the next morning which makes for not much sleep, but if you go to the falls then, no one is there, so it's a great time to see them. We also brought our own food & were able to have a cooler in the storage under the bus. Many people brought cases of water as well. The bus wasn't top of the line, but it was adequate & comfortable. There is a stop for lunch on the way up, but only 2 quick rest stops on the way home, so you might want to have snacks on hand. I know this is long, but it's all info I wish I knew ahead, hope it helps. We would definitely do it again it was a good deal with the 3rd person free.
I went with my family for a 2 day Niagara tour. Here is my experience
It was very enjoyable but a little bit tiring due to travelling
The places you should never miss are the Maid of the Mist, Watkins Glen park
They provided a good hotel for one night accommodation, the tour guide was ok, the travel bus is an old one but just comfortable.
Yes, I recommend this tour to others
Tina was our tour leader for Niagara Falls 2 days trip and she was incredibly nice and helpful. And Emily Huang was the tour leader who helped us to get our lost iPhone that we had dropped at Niagara Falls! I also want to thank Emily immensely! We enjoyed the trip incredibly much, and would definitely go again!!
The tour was exciting and we had no trouble while going for the attractions. The best thing was we got 2 days of fun and adventure without having to worry about accommodation and travel. Our guide Max was certainly one of the best guides I've met here. He helped us out whenever we wanted some help
Nice and easy. Tour guide Mike Lee was excellent. This One day tour covers the Niagara extensively and beyond. A minor hiccup in the transportation which was handled efficiently. Stay was very comfortable for us right at Niagra. Overall a value for money.
Jake Yang ~ dear my tour guide :)
It was a wonderful tour ! I want to join this tour later.
Because everything was so perfect !
I travel alone Nee york so It's hard to go Niagara fall that's why I decided to join the tour.
Jake yang treat me and other people !
He is so sweet and explained all place that we visit in detail. He is so smart.
I highly recommend someone who read this review join this tour with Jake Yang.
I sure that you could make great memory :)
I visited the two-day tour to Niagara Falls on 26th June 2016 with my family and the experience was amazing. The tour guide Jason was very good and informative. The accommodation was excellent and transportation was also convenient . I would recommend this tour to all.
1stly I was doubtful when i navigated to this website from another one. But then when i booked our trip and it started i was so impressed that i plan on taking another once i can afford it.
My husband and myself together with 2 girls started off early Saturday morning arriving in Chinatown for departure @ 8am sharp. Our tour guide did messages the night before so we were updated and aware to where we were meeting up. Upon arrival our tour guide Toni Xzhang was already there and greeted us accordingly. We left promptly and On time. Toni had a few rules which i think was necessary and it really helped with us making good time and ensuring a very enjoyable trip. We arrived at Niagara and had time to board the maid of the mist boat and enjoy it as well. Toni made sure everyone was having fun and always with arrivals at sites and departures he made sure that we used the bathrooms and everyone was aboard and ready to go. He had our tours ready and tickets at hand always. Also made sure that people who wasnt doing that particular tour had something to do.
At the hotel everything ran so smoothly that i was shockingly impressed at the service.
PRO: The trip itself from this website is very affordable.
CON: It does not include a few "overhead" fees (an $8 fee for tour guide and bus driver) per person. so in my case i paid $32 a day so i paid $64 in total which was given on our return. PS: it was worth it.
PRO:The sites and activities is worth what you pay for.
CON: The food is EXPENSIVE.And you pay 2 sets of taxes there. So be aware where you buy and what you buy.
I had a small issue in that i had initially called the company to find out about the hotel room. i was unsure about what the occupancy was. But i think the customer service rep didnt understand what i was asking and i ended up booking 2 rooms. But with the 3rd person discount i received it worked out.
Toni made sure our stay was enjoyable and i wouldn't mind taking another tour with him. Please take this tour. I have lived in NYC for so long and i can finally enjoy it. Stress free.
Me and my wife took 2 days Niagara falls and Watkin Glens tour from Newyork. I took Niagara trip with 1000 islands back in 2011 with TakeTours with my friends and was sure that everything is properly managed and she won't be annoyed by any mismanagement.
And it turned out to be a very Exciting and Joyful Trip with Tony Zhang as a Super Tour Guide, full of energy and humble. Though it was busiest holiday/long weekend time, He made sure everything will work out as planned itinerary and everyone gets to see all the attractions plus have a free time off.
Overall Good Experience and Tony Thank you for all your help.
We had the best time in our tour to Niagara Falls. It was very well organized and Max our tour guide was very accommodating and explained very clearly our plans for the day and the sights we are about to visit!!! I will definitely do it again and recommend this!
Two days tour to Niagara was a wonderful one. Everything on time in Independence Day weekend even in a huge rush. Max helped a lot in timing, buying a ticket for us. No standing in Queue. Thank you so much, Max!
Toni zhang was the best tour guide I have ever meet look handsome and very polite and very patient. All the trips itinerary was well timed. But the food at Niagara fall welcome centre which I did not like but overall everything was fantastic and also we have two tour guide along this trip. Kevin was very nice too. This tour to Niagara falls it's very recommended to relax and enjoy the nature also the maid of mist was one of the most beautiful scenes . Love it
The tour bus was old but it was okay. The tour guide was ok but should've explained each tour option. Be sure to bring sufficient cash for all the tours. Watkins Glen park was one of the most amazing places I've visited. The cultural dance was not worth it at all. The hotel room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable at Days Inn. Bring drinks, snacks, and food. We did stop by a McDonald's on the way there, but coming back, there were no food stops. The food at Niagara Falls is alright, a bit pricey and not very tasty...We spent an extra $120 on tours/tips per person. Be prepared with cash.
Tour was nice. I took it second time. The service has been improved so much.
Concern regarding parking facility from where the bus leave. All the people are looking for some parking option. You can provide some paid parking facility also which will be optional.
I highly recommend this tour! If you can try all the activities in the Itinerary, your 2 day trip is
worth it! Love the Watkins Glen State Park - good for the heart. Hiking and Superb view in one!
Niagra Falls - very beautiful! We tried Maid of the midst; rainbow was awesome! In-Depth
tour was great! We saw the Whirlpool State Park and The Fort Niagra State Park.
The Niagra Falls Adventure Movie was informative yet fun!
Oh btw, the hotel was nice too! We are lucky to have our 2 beautiful tour leaders; kudos to Zoe to Chloe! Till our next adventure.
We took this tour on 24th May. It is really a great deal! Our guide Jennifer was so sweet! The tour was very well planned. Watkins Glen was fantastic as was Maid of the Mist! We were put up at Days Inn which was very nice. Although my pickup point was Brooklyn,Jennifer was accommodating enough to drop me off in Manhattan. Would highly recommend this tour!
Great tour. Fun and informative. Max is really friendly and helpful also co operative. We loved the tour and Max's company a lot. We loved the accommodation too. Max was well organized and time efficient but at the same time cared about the travelers and even waited for people who arrived a little late after one of the park tours. So they do consider everyone's situation and help accordingly. My parents really loved this tour and would recommend highly.
The tour was very well planned and implemented. Our tour guide Max Liang was very helpful and friendly. The best part was that we got to visit the Niagra falls twice in the 2 day trip which was awesome. Would highly recommend these guys!
We just got off the 2 days Niagara Falls trip, it was amazing, breathtaking and the tour staff lead by the amazing Max were really helpful and knowledgable about the sites. I would do it again in a heartbeat, thanks guys!
MORE THAN WHAT I EXPECTED THIS TOUR WAS AWESOME!! I HONESTLY THOUGHT THE ATTRACTIONS WOULD BE RUSHED BUT WE HAD JUST ENOUGH TIME TO SEE EVERYTHING! We did all the attractions except for the Cultural Show. Not sure how that went but since we skipped out on it we had some free time once we got to the hotel to walk around and appreciate the beauty that is Niagara Falls. I would def go again when I get the chance! Just make sure to bring LOTS of snacks/food for the long bus ride and once you get to the falls. The food is $13 and up for the most part, for me I feel like it's not worth it but that just my taste. Lots of other groups bought their own food which was def the more economical option. Other than that this trip was amazing. I departed from the Flushing location a little after 7 and then we went to Chinatown to take the actual bus that would take us up there. We made about two restroom/food stops before getting to Watkins Glen. They were about 2-3 hrs apart each. For the lunch stop we got about 45 mins, enough time to relax. We got to Watkins Glen at about 2pm and we had until 3:30, which was just enough time to go down the mountain and take a quick stop at the gift shop. After that we headed to the Falls and got there at about 6:40. We had until 7 to leave our stuff in the hotel. After that those who were going to the cultural show had until 8:30 to get there but since we chose not to do that we had the rest of the day to do whatever. We went to Luna Island, the view there of the falls is so much better! The next day we departed around 7:30 to Old Fort Niagara where you get an AMAZING view of the lake. Def go to this. We then went to a short scenic view of the Whirlpool and then we headed back to the falls to go on maid of the mist.THis was EPIC and beautiful to see the falls from so close DO NOT MISS OUT. Our guide Doris was super nice and the hotel was really nice and clean too, just a 5-10 min walk or so from the falls. my aunt and I had an amazing time
I really liked this tour. Our tour guide was Ray who was very particular about timing which is one thing I respect while traveling. The travel journey was very comfortable as the bus was spacious enough and well air conditioned. The attractions at Niagara very fabulous and Ray gave us all the information about the spots we visited. There were enough breaks for food and beverages and we managed to cover a lot of things in just 2 days. I highly recommend this tour.
It was an awesome experience. the weather was so nice. The lady guide explained us so carefully what was coming including the time . She was so nice and patient . The driver was very responsible and always on time
Had a wonderful trip. The Guide Caroline Zheng was very helpful and provided all the information in a very interesting way.We all had a nice time.Never felt we were with new group of people. Had excellent stay at Best Western Plus Hotel.Be prepared to explore the Glenn state park with your trekking shoes and a down walk of 1.5 miles.Have nice memories from this Trip.
I traveled on May 28th-May 29th to Niagara Falls. The trip was exceptional. We had a fabulous time. Everything was organized for us and it worked 100%, and the guide was full of knowledge, friendly and helpful. Our tour guide was Kenny Yin. He was "par excellence" and very friendly. Kenny kept everybody on clock and helped us all over tour and had really great sense of humor. It was like fully guided tour. His personality is genuine, and he is in tune with all his customers. I give him a 10*. He ensured that we were always informed of plans for the day and adjusted the schedule accordingly to ensure that we got the most out of our trip. The tour and the arrangements were great too. Bus was comfortable and Hotel accommodation was very good. Though it was a bit far from the falls. As far as the attractions go, I would highly recommend The Maid of the Mist. It is beautiful and breathtaking! Out of all the attractions. Watkins Glen State Park well worth a visit, beautiful scenery and an opportunity to stretch your legs after a long journey. Thundering Water Show colorful and informative. Old Fort is class and you will get to know the history of Niagara.
Excellent value trip - Watkins Glen State Park well worth a visit, beautiful scenery and an opportunity to stretch your legs after a long journey.
Thundering Water Show colourful and informative. Accommodation good for the cost of the trip - comfy bed and good shower - all that was required. Whirlpool State Park and Old Fort Niagara interesting. Maid of the Mist - superb. An excellent itinerary. Be prepared for two long days travelling but well worth it. Hard Rock Cafe was better food than International Food Halls.
We had a wonderful trip, everything you organised for us worked 100%, and the guides were full of knowledge, friendly and helpful,
Many many thanks for such a wonderful trip that has left us with amazing memories. Please pass on our thanks to 'Caroline Zheng' she is an absolute credit to your company.
The tour guide Helen Chen was very considerate and helping. We went for the Martha's Vineyard trip on May 21st and May 22nd, 2016. During out trip the ferry did not arrive at the port(Oak Bluffs) on time. So Helen immediately booked a bus and took us to the nearby port (Vineyard Haven). We loved the trip and greatly appreciate the service. Even the bus driver drove us safe through out the trip. We did not feel any jerks sitting in the bus :)
Deepa, we are happy to hear that you loved the trip and that you liked your tour guide Helen. Thank you for sharing your review!
I am glad that I decided to take the bus trip to Niagara. It saved me the pain of driving alone all the way from NJ. Since this is arranged by experienced tour operators, it was the best utilization of the time and we covered many places we covered we wouldn't have covered otherwise.
Lively and active tour guide Caroline made the journey quite pleasant. Overall, a good experience and I would certainly recommend this to my friends.
One thing to note: Since credit cards are not accepted at most of food courts and attractions, be prepared with some cash. Min $100 to $150 per person. It would be good if that is notified while booking the tickets.
I took 2days Niagara Fall tour.Trip & hotel were good, however, our guide is not friendly and bit rude..well..I'm saying this on behalf of that group..sorry JH, u have to improve!!I will recommend this trip but with another guide please!:-)
It was overall awesome trip.
* Accommodation was great- Nice and clean rooms with good service in Buffalo,Ny
* Bus was good and clean
Tour guide Ivan was pretty awesome and he kept everybody on clock and helped us all over tour,Ivan had really great sense of humour. It was like fully guided tour.Watkins glen was closed so we had seen Corning glass museum and coudnt get chance to be on Jet boat in Niagara coz it was very cold though Maid of mist was available.I recommend this tour- Had fun on trip..!!
my husband and I traveled on May 6th-May 7th to Niagara Falls. The trip was exceptional. We had a fabulous time. Our tour guides were Rex, and Kenny. Both of them did their job well. "par excellence".
I agree, that it is better to bring your own food. The venues are overpriced, and do not give ample servings to warrant the costs.
Rex is a "par excellence"
representative for your company. His personality is genuine, and he is in tune with his customers. I give him a *10.
This trip was a really great experience and well worth the price. Our tour guide Simon was very friendly, patient and informative. He was highly organized and time efficient. He ensured that we were always informed as to what the plans were for the day and adjusted the schedule accordingly to ensure that we got the most out of our trip. As far as the attractions go, I would highly recommend The Maid of the Mist. It is beautiful and breathtaking! Out of all the attractions, I would say that the glass museum is one I could have skipped out on. Overall, I think the trip was really great and would highly recommend it. I would definitely do it again :)
I just want to ask If I need to apply for CANADIAN VISA for 2-Day Niagara Falls Tour from New York by Bus. I will visit NY with tourist visa. and planning to book this Niagra falls from New york pick up. Let me know if I need to apply canadian visa.
Thanks for your question. This tour does not cross the Canadian border. Therefore, you won't have to apply for a Canadian visa.
Awesome trip and a great view of Niagara Falls. Expected to take the Maid of the Mist boat cruise but instead the tour guide took us to the jet boat ride. Was looking forward to the Maid of the Mist tour so was a little disappointed there. But overall great trip and would highly recommend it.
I couldn't believe they let the dog travel with us. How did you know whether nobody would be allergic to it? The itinerary should have informed that we can't take a jet boat ride. The guide basically left us alone at attractions but overall the price itself is a good deal for transportation and hotel.
This tour was amazing. The tour guide was caring and knowledgeable about the attractions.

It was fantastic. The only issue was that Maid of the mist was closed for winter. Other than that the guide Dingding was awesome. Once in a lifetime experience. Thanks to TakeTours for making it possible. And lastly, the hotel was just amazing. Loved it 5/5.
Niagara Falls is a place that everyone should go at least one time in their lives. So I definitely encourage people to visit Niagara Falls. We went to perfect places and they were all enjoyable. Watkins Glen State Park and Maid of the Mist were two destinations and they were all good. If you go to Niagara Falls, don't ever miss going on Maid of the Mist because that is the one which makes you fall in love with Niagara Falls. The tour guides were friendly and the trip was very good.
The Niagara Falls are so beautiful! You have to see them once in your life! In the night they are colorfully lighted!
The tour was really badly organized. We didn't get a time schedule before that we could decide which tour we wanted to do.. The tour guide wanted to sell us all tours by the argument, 'otherwise you have to stay outside in the cold weather when the other people take part'. That's why we payed too much money for something we didn't want to see. If we look back our plan had worked, just walking to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and watch the time the others made the jetboat tour.
The bus was a little bit dirty and during the ride the reading light didn't work. If you wanted to see something, you have need your smart phone torch.
But the hotel was very nice! We loved it!
I took this tour twice with different people and enjoyed completely both times.
It is an incredible value for the price. We saw Fingerlakes and had an hotel room right in front of Niagara Falls. It was amazing to take a stroll and see the cascades a few hundred feet from us!
I had a two-day trip to Niagara Falls. Despite a not so good weather, our guide, Jennifer Huang, made it interesting and well organized. She gave us full information about the places visited, helped in solving certain problems. Jennifer is a very energetic and pleasant lady, so our group felt comfortable. Recommend specified tour that adorns guide Jennifer.
I had booked this trip for my parents. They enjoyed the trip. The guide Jason was very much helpful in assisting my parents as they are elders. The driver was also good. Accommodation was pretty good too. They loved the beautiful journey to Niagara and was thrilled to experience the mighty Falls.
The tour guide was good, though her Chinese accent was difficult initially to understand.
The hotel room was good, however, we were not given any time for breakfast and even water is paid.
The bus was not great, the seats were quite near to each other, so for long journeys it may give you backache or pain in the neck.
The itinerary was good overall.
Overall it is value for money trip, however don't forget you need to pay lot of cash on board for various entry fees and tips etc. so better you keep at least $200 cash per person.
Remember we were on tour and following the guide. Basic things were very much required in the bus, we need to spend 18 hours up and down traveling. Is management really look for traveler's comfort? Make sure you check the following in bus before you start traveling.
Our guide was Rain, and she collected their fee properly but what about following which caused incontinence to travel?
1. Rest room of the bus was not working.
2. There is no cup or water bottle holder in bus.
3. There is no mobile charger plugs in bus.
4. There is no accurate information about Maid of the Mist, I traveled and was told by guide it was closed last week. Could not get the feel of trip.
I took this tour with friends. We met the tour guide whose name was Jenifer. She always guided places to us kindly, and when we asked her information she told us with a smile. We want to join another trip with her if we get to chance again.
The tour was very well organized. Beautiful places to see and Ms. Linn was an excellent tour guide. The only issue was at the Watkins Park, they had collected $10 to see the park but there was no entry fee being collected whatsoever, and from talking to the other tourists there is no fee for visiting that place.
We took 2 day Niagara Falls tour and this is great. I recommend to people along with optional purchases. For the fullest enjoyment you have to pay $88 extra. $8 each day for the guide (service fee) and the activity for rest amount around $72 but it's worth it.
Very satisfied with the three day tour ...great accommodations ....good guide....the itinerary is very closely packed... you could charge a little extra and include breakfast along with the stay. Highly recommended.
Excellent trip!!! Our tour guide, Cathrin, was very nice and friendly. He told us a lot about every destination. The tour company was very responsible. The scenery of Niagara Falls was amazing. The hotel was very clean and quiet. I would like to choose the tour company again next time and will refer to all my family and friends.
Overall the tour was good, the high points were - Maid of the Mist ride, stay at the hotel 'Adam's Mark', comfortable bus ride.
What needs betterment: Scheduling and organization of the tour
- Bus started off late, resulting in cancellation of the cultural show
- More time is needed for visiting the old fort in the 'detailed tour'
The trip was very good, unfortunately it was too packed and we could not really see the places in detail. The recommendation would be to just do either Corning Glass or Watkins Glen instead of both so that we have time to really enjoy and arrive at Niagara Falls in time. The culture show was a let down. The accommodation was very good which was a surprise. However, the bus was not very comfortable.. Overall definitely recommend this..
Our trip started late- the bus arrived to pick us up at 9:30am instead of 8:00am, some mechanical problems with the original bus kept it. From there, we ate at a fast food place in Pennsylvania. Then our trip started at Watkins Glen State Park, which is really beautiful this time of the year. We skipped the park and choose to explore the town instead, which with 1-1/2 hours is definitely a place I want to come back to. We arrived at Niagara around 8:30pm, we missed the movie and the Dance show because of that. The following day we took the in depth tour, it's worth it if you have never taken it but if if you have I would choose next time to skip it to get more time at the Falls. On our way back we did the Maid of the Mist boat ride and had a quick lunch before our trip back to NYC. Will I recommend the trip? Wholeheartedly. I hope next time the bus is on time and is more comfortable and spacious inside with a smoother ride, but overall I give this trip a 5 out of 5.
This was my first tour with TakeTours.com, and we all liked it. The way our tour guide, Peter Zu, handled it quiet amazing with a full capacity crowd in a bus taking care of all requirements. Hotel was excellent, a tidy one. I recommend other people to join this tour. One of safest tours with an experienced driver and tour guide....
Trip was good, accommodation was also very good and Johny planned the trip in such a way that it was time effective too.
Only thing lacking was the bus used for transportation was not that comfortable. It did not have a charging point in it and the air conditining was not effective.
Just returned from the 2 day/1 night Niagara Falls tour. We are very satisfied with the tour. Our guide, Jack, was very friendly and managed to keep good control over the multinational visitors. Also, the bus driver, Douglas, was a top performer giving us a smooth and safe ride on this 1000 mile journey. The itinerary was great, and accommodation was super on this trip. Tomorrow I will join another 2 day/1 night tour to Philadelphia/ Washington, and look forward to receiving the same quality service.
Excellent trip!!! Our tour guide, Calvin Huang, was very nice and friendly. He told us a lot about American culture. The tour company was very responsible. The scenery of Niagara Falls was amazing. The hotel was very clean and quiet. I would like to choose the tour company again next time. Thanks!
I recommend the trip to Niagara. I wish the bus was more comfortable and that the guide was more experienced (clearer communication). Absolutely no complaints about the accommodation (Byblos Niagara) given the price and the requirement.
Overall, it was a very nice trip. Our tour guide, Johnny, was awesome. He managed to cover all the attractions in such a limited time. The quality of the hotel was great. I simply could not believe it considering I paid only $108 for the whole trip.
However, I observed few things which I do not like..
1) There were many couples with little kids, and it was very irritating and disturbing when the kids cried. In fact, we were surrounded by little kids. The parents should have basic courtesy to control their kids when they travel in groups.
2) Few people were complaining about short time and itinerary. There were few people who were always late and delaying the trip. We should be thankful that we got so much for $108.
It was an unforgettable experience, my father is on vacation from Cali, Colombia, and Niagara Falls was one of the dreams to fulfill, and thank TakeTours.com, we could make this dream true., thanks, thanks, thanks. A little short, but worth it ... the bus a little uncomfortable for a 7 hours trip, but the spark, joy and enthusiasm of tour guide (Danny) and the driver (JR) makes you feel comfortable. Hotel "SPEECHLESS". So I recommend you to live this wonderful experience. TakeTours.com, Thanks. See you soon! Love, Rodriguez Family
Excellent trip!!! Our tour guide, Kalvin Huang, was very nice and friendly. He told us a lot about American culture. The tour company was very responsible. The scenery of Niagara Falls was amazing. The hotel was very clean and quiet. I would like to choose the tour company again next time. Thanks!
This is our second trip with TakeTours and we enjoyed it fully. It's a well planned trip. We liked the services provided especially, the hotel quality. The tour guide, Sally, and driver were helpful and cooperative in nature. The Maid of the Mist experience was awesome, which will be cherished throughout of our life. In the whole, it was a wonderful trip and I would certainly recommend this trip to everyone who wants to visit Niagara with family and friends.
We took the tour on August 6 and 7, 2015.
Day 1 was fun due to several stops to visit sites. We are from Spain, so the Corning Glass Museum was not essential. It is not expensive to eat there, but you have a Pizza Hut 300 meters before.
Arriving at night to Niagara, we had to diner in a building with many restaurants, all very expensive. Our advice is to wait and buy something at the 7-11 in front of the hotel. I also recommend buying breakfast and lunch.
The return trip is very heavy. The only stops are made to go to the bathroom.
Our guide was Suki. Very nice and friendly. He explained many things about each site we visited or each area through which we passed. His English is perfectly understood and always tried- everybody understood it.
If you want to visit Niagara Falls economically, I recommend this tour.
The two days Niagara trip is tiring but very worthwhile. The scene of Niagara is so grand and impressive. Most of all, our tour guide, Leona Yang, is very helpful and knowledgeable. She shares a lot of stories and histories. I'm going to try TakeTours again!
The tour was fantastic. But the tour guide, Jennifer, Chinese, needs more training. Her English is not clear, also her instruction is not clear either. And she speaks too fast. We could not understand what she told. Maybe she is good for Chinese people, but not good at all for non-Chinese travelers. About the optional tour, We chose what we wanted to see. But she said it is a whole package tour, so the total is --- much. If so, it is not optional. Maybe she feels troublesome to hear each person's request.
We had taken a trip on August 3 & 4 to Niagara Falls by your company. Excellent experience. The tour was very well organised. The guide worked extremely hard to ensure that no one was left behind and the itinerary was not disturbed. Watkins Glen park is a must visit. The beauty of Ontario Lake is something to die for. Niagara never fails to amaze me anyway. I hope to get concession in my next tour to Las Vegas Grand Canyon in the next month.
Very tight schedules. More than anything we spent time on travel on this trip. After all travel, we got to spend 40 minutes at Niagara Falls on the first day, and on the second day, it's about 2 hours at the Falls including lunch time, and two hours for the in-depth tour. I strongly suggest modifying the program in such a way that tourists get enough time to spend at the Falls and nearby places. The accommodation was decent, and bus was good enough.
I went on the Niagara Falls 2 day trip leaving Flushing, New York on August 21st. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip & so did my family!
The tour guide, Hao, was very helpful and professional, even at times when some of the travelers were consistently late.
I would have preferred a hotel closer to the Falls but at the price I paid, I didn't mind where we stayed.
Excellent trip. Was a great experience. One suggestion is to do the Maid of the Mist earlier than the scenic tour, as it will allow the tourists to have a larger window of free time than waiting out for the others to join. Also, hotel accommodations closer to the falls can allow tourists to explore the area at more leisure time during night time.
We took the trip August 21,22.Tour guide was very good and planned the time schedules properly. Bus was good with proper air conditioning. No nasty smells. Allocated times to see the places are not enough. But can't accept more than this for a 2 day trip like this. We visited Watkins Glen, Maid of the Mist, Old Fort, etc..it was a nice experience. Amy was a very good tour guide and planned everything properly. Thanks Amy...
Excellent experience. The tour was very well organised. The guide worked extremely hard to ensure that no one was left behind and the itinerary was not disturbed. Watkins Glen park is a must visit. The beauty of Ontario lake is something to die for. Niagara never fails to amaze me anyway.
It was a fantastic trip which was very well planned on time & cost. Very efficient way to explore Niagara and Watkins Glen in a time / cost efficient way. We had a great experience. The hotel was okay.
We went for the Niagara Falls tour on August 8-9. We went to Corning Museum of Glass, had lunch and then went to Watkins Glen which was beautiful. Tour guide, Ally, was nice and her English was easy to understand. Then drove to Niagara via scenic Seneca. Saw Niagara at night and had dinner. Checked in at Motel-6 which was below average. No free breakfast next day at motel. Went for Maid of the Mist ride and had ample time at state park. The whole group opted out for in depth tour which gave us plenty of time at Niagara. Overall, a good tour.
Unbelievable memories with TakeTours staff. They are so nice and helpful to everyone. My tour guide was Mr. Daniel, and he explained in such a nice way that everyone understands his way of saying. This is my second tour with TakeTours.com and I am always recommending my friends and family about them.
It was a really fantastic experience on this trip. Everything on the trip was well planned, well guided, and well organized from pick up to drop off. Hotel was good enough for the night stay. We had enough time on the trip to cover all the 3 falls by walk, day view / night view, Maid of the Mist, whirlpool tour and Old Fort Niagara, Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake. Overall, fantastic experience. Go for it!!
I took this trip on 26th and 27th of July 2015. We started on time from Jersey City and reached around 5:00PM to Niagara Falls. In between we stopped at three places for break and lunch. Maid of the Mist was awesome. Night view from American side was not impressive. Moved back from Niagara around 9:30PM and reached the hotel by 11:00PM. Accommodation was okay, no breakfast in morning. On the second day, we left for Watkins Glenn. It was amazing to watch. Next halt was Corning Museum which was equally good. I would recommend this trip to anyone.
I would highly recommend this trip to Niagara. The July 25th and 26th trip was above the mark. I would pass on these words to all my friends. The credit goes to the guide m/s Leslie Ben who was on her toes running from pillar to post making sure all are on time and rolled off in time, and above all, she spoke so well and distinct. The hotel stay was excellent. We are looking forward to more attractions/tours.
It's my second tour with TakeTours...
For being a long trip we couldn't get the most of as expected.
July 4th, we didn't see the fireworks due to our hotel being placed 1 hour 30 minutes away from Niagara Falls. We spent about 3 hours 30 minutes hours there, 1 hour 30 minutes waiting to get on "The Maid of the Mist" - What would be expected for being a national holiday, but above that, it was like see The Falls, run for having dinner for being on time and not losing the bus. (which could be different if the hotel was placed closer).
Our tour guide didn't have clear English (Again I understand this is a Chinese/English tour) but I was with 2 other friends and we barely could understand her... She had no organization for anything... She gave us 50 minutes to explore Watkins Glen State Park - and 50 minutes considering that the bus wasn't even arrived in the park entrance (I could say was 40 minutes to explore) - A lot of people getting there late and everybody losing time...
We also left the last stop in New Jersey 1 hour late, for apparently having someone booked but not place available for this person, fixed later when some family with a small child (who was all in the same 2 seats) - said there were a place in front of them (which is supposed to be the child's place)
Besides all, it worth the fun with friends, but if I could ask a request, would be a better organized tour if the guide was better able to speak English.
I would definitely recommend this guide as a leader. Takes care of all tickets and you don't have to stand in line. Also you don't get tired by driving/ Alice was very cooperative and helpful. We enjoyed the trip
My dad and I had gone on a 2 day tour to Niagara Falls from East Brunswick, New Jersey. Our tour guides Cecelia and Diva were great. They communicated both in English and Chinese very well. The itinerary was planned carefully and they did their best to stick to the timings. The transportation was good as well. The accommodation was okay (they provided Motel 6 which was not great). But overall, the tour was pretty good, and it is the best option to visit Niagara, if you do not want to drive.
Initially, I was little reluctant to take this tour. But, then I went for it as I did not want to drive. My experience during this two day Niagara Falls tour was really above expectations. Our tour guide, Jack, was awesome. He has pretty good knowledge of these places and knows his job very well. The overnight accommodation that they provided was also in a good hotel, Sleep Inn. Since, we went during the long weekend of 4th July, it was huge rush everywhere and so we had to drop the glass factory from the list, but we really enjoyed the places that we visited. Thanks to Jack, the bus driver and all our co-tourists. I definitely recommend it for everyone who wants to visit these places.
I absolutely enjoyed the trip. My tour guides, Nicole and Sally, were very nice. Although their English wasn't very clear, I am impressed with what they were able to accomplish managing over 40 people with time and every accommodation that was needed. I believe these tour guides had an important role in making that trip a good one.
I think it was a well worth trip at that price. I strongly recommend it instead of driving yourself, since you will be hands free and can relax more, especially if you have a short time to visit Niagara Falls.
It was a really nice tour, especially for those who do not want to drive so long.
We booked for July 3rd and 4th -
Day 1 - we started from Jersey city at around 8:45AM and reached Niagara Falls at around 5:00PM, covered Maid of the Mist, Niagara adventure movie and cultural show. Luckily it was July 3rd night, so we requested our guide to let us watch fireworks and she agreed. We watched fireworks at 10:00PM and started from there at 10:30PM for the hotel. We reached our hotel in Rochester (Holiday Inn) by around 12:00AM.
Hotel room was nice and it was a good stay.
Day 2- We started from our hotel at around 8:45AM and reached Watkins Glen State Park- it's one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. We remained there for around 2 hour 30 minutes and then left for the Corning Museum of Glass. We reached there by 1:15PM, had lunch there and saw the hot glass making show at 2:00PM, and started from there at 3:00PM to Jersey City.
Reached JSQ at 8:30PM.
The overall experience was good (as you can experience the magnificent view of Niagara Falls), but the tour guide did not cover the Corning Glass Museum as it was mentioned in the itinerary posted on the site. It was disappointing as you buy tickets based on the said places to be covered.
The trip was well planned and timing was strictly followed throughout the tour. However, I was not very satisfied with a few programs which were boring and not worth it. Overall, the trip was a satisfying journey and the guide made us very comfortable at every point and attended to our needs and queries.
I hesitated taking the tour when I found out that the majority of the passengers were Asians. I was afraid to stand out. But then my mom who was traveling with me said, "Let us go, if they make us feel uncomfortable, we will not board the bus." I am happy I went. The trip was beautiful. I wish we could've spend more time at some of the sights, but overall it was good.
The 2 day tour to Niagara Falls from White Castle Jersey City was best. We would have spent more time at Niagara Falls if started on time. Also the good points like Cave of Winds should be included in tour. The hotel was decent, and I would surely like to tour with them again.
Before I start my review, one piece of advice for any one who has not been on this tour, if you have even 1% doubt about whether to take tour or by car, then don't think of anything just take tour from TakeTours. These guys are really great and know their job really really well.
Now on to review.
Trip was supposed to be started at 8:45AM, but I got call from our tour guide Abby that we needed to be there by 7:45AM. Once I reached there, I was quick to realize why she asked for same. Because of this time change, our tour started at the right time.
There were enough timely break to get freshened up or to have lunch. Evening time we reached Niagara Falls and had good tour of Maid of the Mist, got free from there by 7:00PM with return journey starting at 9:20PM, 2 hour 20 minutes to enjoy and have food- fairly reasonable.
Night we spent at Raddison Inn, really good hotel I must say.
Next day it was a trip to Watkins Glen first. A marvelous, beautiful place, where every step is photograph-able. Abby told us that we can cover it in 1 hour but it took around 1 hour and 45 minutes. Next stop was Corning Glass Museum- the time provided to us was extended by tour guides from 1 hour 20 minutes to 2 hours, enough to watch all show and enjoy museum. Overall a very pleasant tour.
I can definitely say it was a right decision to cover Niagara by TakeTours rather then by car, as I could not cover it so efficiently as these guys did it for us,thank to team of Take Tours.
Everything was perfect!!! The trip was awesome!! I would definitely book future trips from this travel company!!! The only concern I had was the bus, it was congested. Otherwise, the tour guide, driver and travel was simply superb!! Loved it!!!!
I would definitely recommend this trip! Very well organized. The tour guides, Jack and Meo, were extremely helpful and very accommodating. The bus ride was very smooth and Alex, the bus driver was excellent. During the bus ride we had several bathroom breaks and a lunch break. The itinerary was right on point, and everything was on time. I would certainly recommend all of the attractions! We definitely enjoyed this trip! I very much recommend it!
Appreciated the tour, although the comments were mostly Chinese. Very little and basic comments related to the itinerary in English. We were disappointed that the guide didn't feel it necessary to wait for the clearing of the sky at the Grand Canyon, our main expectation for the tour. Could have shifted the IMAX on Grand Canyon first and then proceed to sightseeing. Pity!
Overall tour experience was good. However, itinerary was not properly planned. Due to this, we didn't get to spend enough around Niagara Falls area. Even didn't find time for Cave of the winds tour. Meals also had to be rushed. Accommodation was okay.
This is a good tour, very good value. We didn't want to take all of the attractions, as they felt a little too much for the two days, but the tour guide was very flexible and accommodating, so we were able to earn an extra half a day by the Niagara Falls, which was great, since the place looks beautifully deserted in the morning. We also had a chance to have lunch at a nice cozy stylish place close to the Falls in the meantime. Watkins Glen Park is the only unmissable other attraction on this tour, apart from the Falls, and a great surprise as you climb down from the top to the bottom of it - very inspired choice by the tour guide!
We departed on time and our guides, Fiona,ť and Meowť did a great job managing the whole trip. Both of them explained everything in detail which really helped a lot to learn more about the places we visited. Even the driver explained about Finger Lakes and Niagara Falls. The hotel we stayed in was excellent. Maid of the Mistť is a must. That was an awesome ride on the boat.
I had a great time on this tour. Watkins Glen is surprisingly amazing. Niagara is massive. Everything was well organized. Our tour guide Helen Chen is the best. She was very helpful and fun to spend time with. She even threw a birthday party for one of the passengers on the bus, which was sweet. Hotel room quality was excellent. Overall great experience. Try to take 3 day tour , if they offer it. This will give you more time just to relax and enjoy your attraction free time
I took my mom to Niagara Falls for the weekend. It was great. Our tour guide was Vivian Li and she was very friendly and helpful. Anytime we came up with questions, she answered with patience and gave information about attractions clearly. On the other hand, our driver Kris was hilarious. Both Vivian and Kris made it a great weekend. I and mama went only to Maid of the Mist and Watkins Glen. We didn't take other optional tours. The hotel was pretty clean, newly renovated, and much better than Days Inn etc. Only downside of this tour is we didn't have a chance to watch the light show at Niagara Falls. Also the food court at Niagara Falls was really dirty and food is limited, so we went to Days Inn. There is an American restaurant right on the entrance floor. Definitely recommend their menu.
The two days trip was awesome. Maid of the Mist is the center of attractions. Tour guide, Helen, had planned properly. But due to time constraints only 4 places she recommended for the trip. Overall we had good experience and joy in the journey.
In depth tour was not up to the mark, except this everything is superb. Last but not the least, driver Brick (name not confirm), did great job. He is good person and emphasized the situation. We should appreciate their (Driver & Guide) efforts for making our trip more comfortable even though we had technical issue (minor issue) in the bus.
Mixed reactions. They make it to activities on time. This 2 days tour consists of 36 hours (2 days-1 night) out of which 16 hours is travel and 6-8 hours is sleep, so you are left with just a few hours in Niagara Falls. After traveling the whole day the tour guide did not take us to Niagara Falls, rather took us to watch a Chinese regional dance show for which they charged us $15. We were asked to reach the bus at 9:15PM to depart to the hotel. This resulted in missing the night light show in Niagara Falls which is absolutely free to watch. The light show only starts after 9:30PM. We also purchased an in depth tour of Niagara from them, but that was just a visit to Niagara Falls and visit to Old Fort Niagara. They did not have famous Winds in the cave attraction of Niagara Falls. But after all those issues there were good points like Maid of the Mist boat ride was awesome, and we stayed at good hotels.
Niagara Falls and Watkins Glen Park were great, but the tour could have been improved. First, it would have been very helpful to have an itinerary in advance so that everyone knew roughly when we would arrive and depart from the locations. Second, although Katherine (our tour guide) was nice, it was very difficult to understand her, seriously she needs a PRONUNCIATION CLASS. More often than not I could not understand what she was saying and whether she was speaking Chinese or English. Third, the tour could have been scheduled better. Instead of going to Niagara Falls at night and only having time to eat dinner there, it would have been much better to spend more time at Watkins Glen Park and then to go straight to the hotel at night. The next day it would also be better simply to give everyone a block of free time from 8:30am to 1:00pm, instead of dropping everyone off at 8:30am, telling them to be back at the bus at 9:30am (and the bus arrived 45 minutes late so we were waiting around for nothing), then taking everyone to the Maid of the Mist, and then having free time afterward. Instead, because people can go to the Maid of the Mist anytime they want, it would be much better just to give everyone that block of free time to use as they would like.
Overall, the destinations were astoundingly beautiful but the execution of the trip (having a tour guide we can understand and a more efficient schedule) could have been significantly improved.
The 2 day tour to Niagara Falls from White Castle Jersey City was good. The best part was that the guide was very flexible and we could spend more time at Niagara Falls. The hotel was decent and I would surely like to tour with them again.
Our trip consisted of a three-day trip to Philadelphia, Washington DC, Niagara Falls, and Corning. All the important places were covered in a short space of time, which made the trip slightly hectic. Thankfully, everything from the coach, to the stay in the hotels was comfortable, and was taken care of very professionally. We even stopped at high-quality food courts that were of reasonable prices.
Our tour guide, David, showed a lot of historical as well as geographical knowledge about the places covered. He also stimulated a lot of interest in his job, and was very amicable and approachable towards all of us. He is someone who is very time-conscious, and hence gives sufficient time for us to grab breakfast, lunch, dinner or coffee.
At first, when we read the reviews, we were in double-mind as to whether or not we should take the tour. However, after having experienced the tour, we highly recommend it to all age groups and for people who are willing to discover the East Coast. It is definitely worth the money and time, and it is undoubtedly one of the trips that we will recall with great joy and pleasure.
This is a great worthy trip. The tour is well organized with a helpful and understanding tour guide, Yo Yo. The trip was smooth and we got to every attraction points as arranged, even during the rain. Travel time is quiet long and it will be good if you bring your own snack or fruits, and a good book.
It was a nicely timed and well planned trip..our driver Julio and guide Jeffery were pleasant too..the bonus was the hotel stay was very clean and had comfortable rooms.. We enjoyed our first trip to Niagra Falls..thank you
It was excellent and well organized tour. Everything was planned and well managed. The tour guide (Ivan) was very calm and funny. The hotel we stayed (The Adam's Mark) was fabulous. Bus driver did an excellent job and ensured the journey was smooth. Only thing I would like noticed here is the time given for breakfast and lunch was not enough to manage with such a huge rush at food counters and restrooms. All the buses stopping at restrooms at the same time which leads to huge rushes and long queues for restrooms. Overall it's a perfect tour.
I had a Niagara 2 days tour yesterday with TakeTours.
I was in group of 18 with team guide Ivan Lin.
I would like to say something about Ivan Lin.
1. Ivan Lin is a great person.
2. He is really kind-hearted.
3. We really enjoyed him on the tour.
4. He helped us every moment in our tour.
5. When other friends were late in arrival time. He handled the situation pretty well.
6. kindly spoken.
7. his English is great.
I would like to leave best wishes for Ivan Lin in his future endeavors.
Mixed reviews about the tour. Overall my family and I enjoyed it. My take is as follows:
a) Good itinerary - quite well timed and planned.
b) The bus we traveled in was quite good.
c) We were on time at each location.
a) The tour guides while enthusiastic could not communicate effectively in English (especially Eva). We could not follow the history and other details that they shared along the way.
b) Some of the rest stops were for close to an hour - the same as some of the attractions including Watkins Glen and Niagara Falls (after Maid of the Mist). They can definitely add another 15-30 minutes at each of these attractions.
c) The hotel - Motel 6 was very average - no kitchen/breakfast, bathrooms definitely need some work and only drinking water was from the vending machines.
Can't fault them too much. Overall it is value for money. Better communication from the tour guides will go a long way in making the trip more memorable.
The trip was very good, it was fabulous!! It is recommended to put a warning not use the bus bathroom and that's why there are several stops. I recommend paying the live entertainment in the windows, and bring your own lunch to save time in line to buy something to eat while traveling on the bus. Instead of walking the second day, I recommend walking you walk across to the other side of the park Niagara Falls, is simply fascinating, almost you touch the waters of the falls, this is not included in this trip, but is an excellent option that you can take it for your account after leaving the hotel the next day.
Overall: pretty good in spite of so many negative points (since there are no better alternatives).
Positives: good transport & stay, overall cost.
Negatives: No Cave of the Winds!!!, Food (especially time), no breakfast in hotel (would be a great value add for the amount charged), $25 rip-off for the 'In-Depth tour'.
Take your own food; might actually be a savior. Our tour guide was bad (wasn't keen on giving any info and seemed to be in a rush all the time).
I had a fantastic time on this tour! My friends said I needed at least 3 days to do Niagara Falls but TakeTours made everything perfect!! I was referred to Taketours.com and booked it online. It's great value for your money. It was very professional, comfortable, and the tour guide really took care and gave clear instructions. Thanks, Taketours.com, for making Niagara happen for me! I'll be going back soon.
To start with tour itinerary, it was great that we could see 1000 Islands.
But, on the flip side, the tour started 1.5 hours late and it was a long travel for 1 day. With packed itineraries, it is very important to adhere to timings, so any delays like traffic and accidents must be better planned.
Also, there were toilets in the bus, but they were locked for emergency use mainly for my kids.
The tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgable
The Niagara 2 day tour was a superb one and a nice experience. Accommodation (Adam's Mark, Buffalo) was awesome. Would have loved to stay for a bit more time there. The tour guides Michael and Ryan were helpful and experienced. The long bus journey was a bit uncomfortable and would suggest to put in a luxury bus for these long journeys. Overall a nice tour.
I loved all the attractions (Maid of the Mist/ Watkins Glen/ Corning Glass Museum) of the tour. It's quite a well planned tour. The tour guide was pretty and polite. However, I wish we had been briefed about the places/ cities we passed by as the tour journey became boring in absence of any information. Humble piece of advice, avoid making payment for Watkins Glen.
The trip was very exiting and fascinating. It's a small holiday trip with my family friends. On the trip especially I want to be thankful for guide Mirinda and the driver for their complete cooperation. Thank you to the team!
The 2 days tour was well organized and managed by the team of your driver and tourist guide and manager Ms. Jane and Ms. Diana.
Ms. Jane and Ms. Diana have mobilized the patrons in the most cordial manner and have fully satisfied us all.
The most exciting part was that they involved all the patrons by way of singing songs by all patrons which electrified the environment and all of us enjoyed our journey to the fullest.
Ms. Jane, Ms. Diana and your driver needs encouragement and appreciation!!
Very friendly tour guide. Worth the money paid. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. TakeTours can also think of a 2-day Niagara only trip so that we get more time in Niagara, and not other locations on the way.
I wish we had more options for pick-up and drop-off points like Edison, New Jersey.
It was a great trip! Our guide, Jane Wei, was very friendly and helpful. The tour provider mainly targets the Chinese-speaking crowd. Yet, Jane was able to assist us in English. We went during the early Spring where all the boat rides were not available. However, the attractions such as the Caverns, the Glass Museum, and Fort Niagara were interesting places to visit. The hotel provided was Sleep Inn which was very good and had complimentary breakfast. Otherwise, it is best if one brings instant food for dinner if the place provided is not satisfactory. Snacks during the long bus ride is good too. Despite the bad reviews towards the tour provider, I personally think it was an enjoyable and satisfactory visit to Niagara Falls.
I had done a tour to Niagara Falls before, but this one is so much better! It has a lot more attractions in the same amount of time. I will definitely book again in the near future. It is beautiful and a unique experience.
I took this trip to Niagara Falls in May on Memorial Day weekend. Such a beautiful lush green ride though Pennsylvania and New York state. Niagara Falls was a really fun experience. Watkins Glen State Park came across as the hidden gem that we did not hear much about prior to visiting and it was so very impressive with winding trails and multiple waterfalls- something you would want to experience in person. Much outdoor time and natural beauty to appreciate on this tour, we had fun!
I'm now here for thanking our guide Edison with great responsibility. I can see him wherever I go, so during the whole tour I feel safe. Because he has to follow our schedule, he even cannot have his diet on time. So as our driver. We are so moving about their kindness. I hope you guys can give Edison a great honor.
This was really a long journey, please take snacks with you to pas the time. Bus will stop for breaks. Tour guide will make you comfortable every now and then. Just an amazing experience at Made of the Mist. Everyone should go. Best tour in this amount
Trip was awesome, the attractions were a little bit expensive to spend just few minutes in them. The tour is semi-guided but there is no free time where you can do whatever you want, this option allows you choose if you want to go the attraction or not. The accommodation is really awesome, it view is great and so is its swimming pool.
This was an incredible tour. I learned a lot of insightful information about a new part of the States. Our tour guides, Edison and Riven, were fantastic. They were very kind, patient, and made our tour one to remember! Will definitely love to do this tour again!
The trip was excellent. Our tour guides were Joy and Miranada. I was visiting for the first time, and selected TakeTours for my first travel. That was great experience. We were on schedule every time. I loved the trails in Watkins Glen State Park and Niagara Falls was great. At night, Niagara falls was looking awesome. Corning Glass Museum and Fort Niagara were very boring. We have better forts in India. Overall, I liked the trip and will recommend to friends, and I will select TakeTours for other trips as well.
The trip was excellent. I had gone with my parents and they had a great time too. Our guide, Ben, was very cooperative and managed the show well. The hotel was very comfortable. Wish we could spend a little more time at Niagara Falls.. The only issue we had, was the seating. They gave us the last 3 seats in the bus which weren't comfortable and they became very hot due to the engine below..I will take the tour again but will give my seat preference for sure.
This is a budget tour so people should not expect too much. Hotels are 2 star, so not so great, but good for what it is and paid for....clean bed and bath! Lots to do in a short time, but worth the experience i.e. meeting new people, the Niagara Falls part was the best and Thousand Islands was a pleasant surprise. As mentioned at the start....do not complain because it is a budget tour, take it if you have an open mind, and I was happy to do 2 star stays!!
Overall, this Niagara Falls Tour experience with TakeTours was good for the price. Special mention is the accommodation. Just did not expect the accommodation to be above average. Tour guide for this tour was Michael. He was time conscious and friendly enough. The only thing I would recommend, is he has to improve on his English speaking skills. Transportation was good and the bus was in good condition. The tour in general was okay considering the time limit.
The trip itinerary and accommodation was pretty good, although I would have wanted some more time at the attractions. They charge $25 for the scenic tour the second day morning which I believe is not worth the money. Might as well stay back at Niagara Falls and go for Cave of the Winds.
First off let me say this, I had an awesome time!!! My tour guide Zoey was absolutely AMAZING!! She was attentive and cheerful and answered every question I had. At first I was worried because Im American and I didn't think anyone would speak English, but I was completely wrong... I have made lifelong friends on this tour!! Just a little advice, go to every attraction!!! It is so worth it!!! I honestly can say that I look forward to another tour!!! If you have any questions feel free to email me firstname.lastname@example.org!!
The bus was on time, our guide Sean was also very nice and helpful. Our night stay was comfortable but was in Rochester, which is 2 hours drive from Niagara Falls. It would have been great if the night stay was in Niagara Falls itself.
The trip was more of traveling and less of adventure. It should include Cave of the Winds, which is a must do experience and there should be more time at Niagara Falls. Overall for the price, it is okay, and you don't have to worry about accommodation and transport. Hotel should be walking distance from Niagara Falls, and we got Days Inn, which was very good. Glass factory was missed, and it should be included. Extra $8 tip for each person for each day is not acceptable. Visited Niagara falls on September 23-24.
We had a flat tire and lost 2 hours from it, but they changed our hotel location, which is about 5-10 minutes away from Niagara, which was great. Tour guide (Ben) is also very approachable and attentive to our needs. Overall, although the itinerary was a bit rushed, it was great value for our money. Maid of the Mist, of course was the highlight of the tour. I just hope the bus had wifi and socket outlets.
Overall, the trip was fun. Tour guide (Man) was really nice. Downside is that bus was late at the pick up point in Parsipanny, New Jersey. We waited almost an hour for the bus to get there. I just want to suggest to plan a better rest stop for bathroom and food/lunch next time.
It was a great experience and value for our money. James was our guide, and is very well organized. Allen was our driver, and was so smooth and perfect. TakeTours is lucky to have both of these gentleman. I liked for the first time that James was explaining every step of the itinerary, rules and regulations and more over understanding of every individual. Sightseeing has to be great, after all, Niagara Falls is wonderful. But to make that journey happen, I think credit goes to Allen and James. Thank you guys for making my trip awesome, see you soon for Washington D.C.!
James was our guide, and he was very pleasant and friendly. I feel the trip was worth the money that we paid. Maid of the Mist was beautiful. Corning Glass Museum and Fort Niagara were very boring. Watkins Glen State Park is not for senior citizens or people with disabilities. You have the option to not participate on certain stops of the tours. On the negative side, I feel the tour is rushed and certain stops are a little boring. It would be nice if they could add some casinos or wineries to the tour itinerary. It would be nice to have a bus with outlets to charge phones or electronic devices. Overall, I liked the trip and will recommend to friends.
The tour was great. The guide was very helpful and informative. I liked the hotel we were in. It had the river view. Be prepared to walk a lot. I loved the trails in Watkins Glen State Park.
To get all the tickets and service charges, we had to give out cash, which I wasn't prepared for. Credit card would have additional charges. So people taking the tours, please ask for the breakdown of the charges, and select the locations you have to go to, and then carry cash to pay the guide for it.
I enjoyed the Niagara Falls tour. The whole tour, accommodation, guide, and itinerary was good. Fifteen minutes of Maid of the Mist tour was the great moment of my life- worth your money.. I will recommend this to my friends..
This tour was comfortable despite the long journey. Our tour guides were inexperienced, but still friendly and tried their best to accommodate the large group. Overall, it's definitely a value for your money, and I would recommend this tour as it's a great way to see Niagara Falls.
My wife and I had a great experience with TakeTours. Our tour guide, Joe Ma, was a very nice and informative guide. Because it was two trips and we had at least 6 scenic spots, it was short and intense. Joe made our trip interesting and appropriately arranged our itinerary. I will choose TakeTours next time I want to visit the East Coast again. Thank you very much for Joe's efforts.
Overall, it was a good plan to have a trip with this group. Only drawback is that we are not given sufficient time in any place. Everything goes with limited time constraints, which is not sufficient. For example, we are given 1 hour and 30 minutes for Glass Museum + lunch. Which is not sufficient only for that museum- this is one of the examples.
Overall, this is a great tour! If offers great value for your money. I opted for Watkins Glen, Maid of the Mist, and Fort Niagara, all of which were amazing. I didn't bother with the native show, or the glass museum since I wasn't interested. Our driver, Paul, was excellent- he made great time and we got to our hotel early. Since I didn't bother with the show we had time to pop over and see the Canadian side, which is amazing. The guide, Cassie, advised against this but when we spoke to the driver he said it would only take 10 minutes to walk. I'm glad we listened to him. Hotel was good very close to the Falls, have to be honest the guide could have been better, she wasn't very friendly or helpful.
Yesterday I took this trip for the second time. I planned this for my wife's birthday. I have so many good review on this and one little-bad comment too. That will be helpful for other people in future. So, though of putting that too.
I already knew this was going to be amazing and truly it was as I expected. Alan was our tour guide, and he was smart, friendly and great for guiding. Accommodation was superb. Attention to individual person was good. Timing, planing, driving was perfect. Our driver was really good. My wife and I had a wonderful 2 day with this and truly its unforgettable. Thanks everyone in the TakeTours team. Hopefully I will retake this next year too!
Personally the most wonderful event for me is night view of Niagara Falls. I hope others also agree with me. But we had some concerns because it was not properly planned. It was supposed to leave Niagara falls by 8:15PM which is not a good plan. It was due to driver's hours of work for the day with law. So, myself and few guys had to negotiate with Alan (tour guide) and take 15 minutes for that. Alan took our concerns and allowed us to just go and come back in 15 minutes (even though in a hurry) with a little blame from our Driver). Anyway, thanks Alan and to our driver. Our driver was also superb!
As I remember, however, last time in 2013, I spent until 9:30PM as I remember) with the night view. So, this has to be taken care of in the future. People need the night view for sure. It is the most attractive one for anyone. So, next time, we will hope this will be considered.
Overall - I am perfectly fine, 99% satisfied with this. I recommend anyone to take this without thinking twice!
Well planned tour with very nice guide Ricky. I traveled with two kids and my wife. The guide was kind enough and did not rush like others do on this tours. If booking allowed you to choose guide and driver, I would recommend him to friends and family.
For the price we paid, the tour was good and we covered a lot, despite it being quite rushed. One of our tour guides was Edison, who was very good and offered to take pictures of our group all together.
For the price we paid, I highly recommend this tour. We were very comfortable and the tour guide was awesome, Benny Chen. The only thing I advise is not to attend everything. You can skip Corning Glass Museum and Native American show, they were a waste of money. Definitely go to Watkins Glen, Fort Niagara, and Made of the Mist.
We loved it so much, my cousin and aunt went a day later.
This was my third trip to Niagara, all with TakeTours, and this was the least satisfying of all. The accommodation, itinerary, guide, were all good but not as good as the ones I experienced the last two times. Overall, this is a very good trip, and any chance to see the beautiful Niagara Falls must not be missed.
The tour was good, but we missed one of the places due to lack of time. The hotel was good but it should be provided near to Niagara Falls so that everyone can see the lighting at Falls in night. We got a hotel which was 30 minutes, far away from Niagara, so we couldn't go anywhere.
Overall, it was a good experience!
Tour was good and they covered all the listed items as per the schedule. We got a hotel very near to Niagara falls and that gave us chance to spend more time at the Falls at night and see the fireworks. The only thing which can be improved on, is that the tour guide should give access to the toilet in the bus in case of emergency at least. Otherwise, everything was fine.
The tour was very well organized. Our tour guide, Faye, was very well prepared, very punctual and organized. The tour had a very well planned route with many stops. Unfortunately, I was sitting right next to the bus' bathroom, which smelled pretty bad the first day. The tour guide asked everyone to use the bathroom in emergency/urgency only and wait for the stops. So, it helped a bit. The second day there was no bathroom smell, so conditions definitely improved.
My favorite part of the whole trip was Watkins Glen State Park. Absolutely gorgeous. Just make sure to wear non-slippery shoes! For Niagara Falls, I wouldn't recommend spending money on anything but Maid of the Mist, though we did not have time to see Cave of the Winds, and therefore I do not have opinion about it.
The hotel accommodation was very nice! It was two hours away from Niagara Falls, so we had to leave by 9:15 pm (still plenty of time to see the waterfall).
Overall, I would recommend taking this tour!
Overall, it was a great tour (8/2). Credit goes to our tour guide (James) who tried his best to cover all the attractions as promised, but we wished to spend more time at Niagara Falls. Watkins Glen State Park was the highlight of our tour. To make the tour more relaxing, one or two attractions could be skipped like the Cultural show, Whirlpool State Park (although beautiful) - to get some more time at the Falls.
It's my first time to go in such a tour with your company. Highly recommended, excellent tour. Tour guides both were great and very helpful. Excellent and professional driver. Hotel accommodation was very good. Overall experience is very good, will use your company again in my future tours, thank you!
Kifayah & Muayad
Sabrina and Leona, my Niagara tour guides for August 2 and 3, 2014 were indeed a blessing to make my trip worth living!
Everything was planned well by these two ladies and they made the entire tour comfortable! They both were so friendly and easy to approach!!
Niagara Falls was beautiful as well as the other four attractions in this package were worth visiting!!
Two days were so beautiful and in lap of mother nature that I'm feeling very blessed!
I'm glad I went on this tour! I was alone but the tour guides and the other travelers were so good to me that I felt I was travelling with my family!
Sabrina and Leona, our tour guides- thank you so much for investing your energy and time on everyone so that everyone enjoyed the trip!
Thank you TakeTours for creating this tour package!
Easy and fun !!!
Everything was well organised and on time!!
I shall never forget Sabrina, Leona, and TakeTours to make my dream of visiting Niagara Falls worth remembering!
We had a very nice experience with TakeTours. The tour guide, Nick, was very good. He was pleasant, friendly and helpful. The hotel, Holiday Inn, we were staying was very nice, clean. The pitfall for the hotel was that it was way too far from the Niagara Falls, 2 hours drive from Niagara Falls. I believe TakeTours could do better job for the holiday than that. The other thing I am not happy with was that there were 2 tour places were canceled at the last minute.
My family and I were happy we went. We loved all the attractions we went to. Our tour guides, Stone and Henry, were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We had some problems with the bus, however. On the first day, due to an accident, we had to cancel our first attraction. The second day, the bus broke down, so that was a bummer. However, we understand that it was completely out of the company's control, and sure these things happen. I liked how the staff handled the situation so that a) everyone was safe; b) all concerns were taken care of; c) cancelled attractions were reimbursed. Some people in the group were just obnoxious (lol), but I really liked how they handled conflicts between passenger quarrels. Overall, I will probably go back to this company for travel options in the future.
Excellent trip with the best guide and driver. My boyfriend and I were very satisfied from this tour. Special thanks to the wonderful guide Kris Qain for a great time and your help (because we lost our camera on the bus, he sent it from New York to us in Chicago)!
I won't forget this tour for sure!!
I booked this tour for my parents. They liked the trip very much. Tour guide Anna was helpful in taking care of all the needs of my parents during the entire trip. Accommodation was provided in Niagara Falls, which is a plus. They took the tour on Friday. Maybe that is the reason they provided the accommodation in Niagara Falls.
Very good tour. I loved it from the beginning, very good experience. We stayed at Quality Hotel. And the hotel was more than I expected. I recommend the State Park, Corning Museum, Maid of the Mist and the tour of the Niagara Falls. Very professional driver. And good tour guide, they're all bilingual.
This was very good nicely organized tour. It was a great experience for a short 2 day tour. Guides were very active, dynamic, and managed the tour properly, mainly the time factor. Bus and hotel facilities were excellent. Very cooperative, knowledgeable staff. Tour coordination was well-managed, right from advance notification, check-in, to end of tour.
It was a wonderful tour, value for the money, and one a kind experience. We loved it. Staff was wonderful and kept the trip very lively.
All information was provided by tour guide and surprised us in advance and at the event stops. Fascinating tour guide.
It was the best trip at a very reasonable price.. Our guide, Ken, was so nice and so knowledgeable about the entire area's history. We stayed at 5-start hotels for two days of accommodation! Covered all places in Itinerary. Had great time.. Superb tour at a great price! If you are planning to visit the East Coast, go for this tour without rethinking.
Definitely a value for the money. There were few glitches here and there - our itinerary was modified at the last minute due to the holiday season. We had to rush to the Maid of the Mist on the first day itself. We didn't get a chance to look at the night view of the falls since our hotel was quite far from Niagara.
Accommodation was nice but complementary breakfast was not given.
However, the tour guide Lee is very friendly and co-operative. The bus is also good, but the driver has to be persuaded sometimes to make stops.
Although it was a busy tour, it was great, we got to see a lot of beautiful sites. Mr. Lee Chang was very professional and very attentive to all our needs, the hotel was good, comfortable, and the best thing, free breakfast! It was well organized and the best value for the price.
We just had a wonderful tour during this 4th of July long weekend. Because of the specialty of the day it was too crowded and long waiting in the lines for almost everything made our journey a bit hectic. But because of the same day we were additionally able to have a view of exceptional celebration through fireworks. Now to tell about Niagara, no one needs a recommendation from anyone. The spectacular creation of nature can successfully fill up all your troubles during the journey. The next day at Watkins Glen State Park was equally enjoyable. A short visit to Corning Glass Museum was just enough. James, our guide for this 2 day tour was very friendly and sober. He did a wonderful job to describe the tour in a nutshell and also did well to manage in such a crowded day. The only concern, I think I should mention is the food. If you have a specific taste of food, you should bring it with you, otherwise you will end up waiting in queues.
First thing first - it's a value for money.
There were a few glitches in our tour - the accommodation was in Rochester which is approximately 2 hours from Niagara - so effectively we got time to do just Maid of the Mist. We didn't get time to spend at the main attraction i.e. Niagara Falls. The tour guide informed that it is due to holiday season and that was the only accommodation that would fit in their budget. He modified the itinerary and added Corning Museum (though their site states it's done only in winters).
If we could have stayed in Niagara region and thus got more time to spend there, I would have given it 5/5 stars.
Otherwise, no issues with the rest room stops, food (vegetarian option on every stop), knowledge of the guide (Tom).
It was a trip well planned and worth every penny. Among attractions, Maid of the Mist was amazing which was followed by a Native American show which I did not like personally. As the schedule was very tight, I felt we could have spent more time enjoying the Niagara Falls instead of going for the show. I would suggest to go for Cave of the Winds immediately after you get free from Maid of the Mist. Rest of the trip was good, with much of the travel happening in the beautiful countryside.
This was my first time going on a TakeTours trip. It was very well organized and worth the money. The hotel was very top scale, very modern. And the tour was great. I enjoy the Maid Of Th Mist the best, but the Corning Museum of Glass was very nice too. I really had a great time. I toured with people of different cultures but they were very nice and it was a peaceful ride. Jo Jo the tour guide was great. Very helpful and kind!
The thing about these type of tours is that you are dealing with a lot of people. If some of the people take longer than the time they were given, you get less time for the other attraction. This is just an example. You have to be very patient with the group you are going with. The tour is great though, you get to see new beautiful places, and the view on the way is great.
Took 3 day trip from New York to Niagara and Washington DC - Loved the tour guide - Julia. She arranged everything so well - Very clear - very caring and of course, very knowledgeable about every part of tourist attraction - I know I am just talking about her as she made the trip memorable and amazing - All the 54 tourists loved her so much that we became family - when I travel again - I will ask for Julia and make sure shes on it as I cannot ask for more - LOVE LOVE LOVE trip and definitely the management needs to hire more people like Julia who make the trip so good. If I was her boss - I would consider myself lucky to have someone who works so hard and gives 100 percent on job - No words to praise her more - but the trip and tour guide made it memorable- 3 CHEERS TO JULIA!!!!!!
We took this tour last year and it was awesome. The guide was good and we got enough time to spend near Niagara Falls. The only issue that I had was non availability of vegetarian food on the second day of the tour.
The trip was overall fun for 4 people in my party even though there were a lot of unforeseen incidents that took place. After all, our whole purpose for going on this tour was to see Niagara Falls. Please pay money for Corning Glass Museum, Watkins Glen Park, Maid of the Mist and skip the rest because they truly aren't worth wasting time and money on. The hotel that we stayed at was pretty decent. It's Holiday Inn so it was comfortable for all of us.
I was very suspicious of lot of good reviews online. But indeed it was a good tour overall with few hits and misses here and there. Considering group tour this is the best they could offer. It was worth the money. I was apprehensive right from the beginning. My departure and drop off point is East Brunswick. They arranged a shuttle from there to Jersey City. Since they do it everyday, they are confident. But for us it is a big deal. But they coordinated very well. They updated everything up front. I have 2 year old kid and I didn't face any issues. There were enough rest room and food stops. I would definitely go for another tour with them. Bus is not very comfy, but worth the money. They mentioned we can bring a car seat, but I wonder how it will fit in that bus seat. Also when returning they could've covered Watkins Glen. I don't know why they skipped it.
Tour was well arranged. Hotel accommodation was good and walking distance to Niagara Falls. Bus was clean, good, and the bus ride by Jerry was very comfortable. Tour guide was good but his command on English was poor .Niagara Falls and the Maid of the Mist Ride was awesome.
Trip was not hectic and rest areas were well timed. I travelled with children 4 years old and 8 years old and there was no much walking except for Watkins Glen State Park.
My wife, 2 children and I took the tour in the end of May from Jersey City. It was well arranged and cost effective. The bus was good (although the bathroom was not working, but we had enough rest room stops on the way), the hotel in Niagara (Best Western) was very comfortable (with a decent hot breakfast) and James and Kevin (the tour guides) were helpful and informative. The Corning Glass Factory visit was good and the Glen Watkins Park tour was exceptionally beautiful. I would recommend the tour to anyone who wants to see Niagara Falls in a short time.
Good budget tour-did not expect much from it. The accommodation was fantastic. We reached destination fairly quickly on the first day, but reached it late while coming back. The tour guides are really good, and help you wherever they can.
This was one of the best trips I have had so far in a very short period of time. Although much of the time we had was on the bus, as it was a long ride, we had great time when we reached the attractions and the parks. We got to eat at some nice places on the way.
Most of all, I liked the hotel we were staying. It was an incredibly awesome hotel. I hope it will be similar on the next tours too.
The tour guides were friendly and cooperative. It was a great trip. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes to travel with a nice budget!
Everything was just awesome. If you get Isabel as your tour guide, she is just great. We got singing, quiet, laughter, sleep, and tips. She was more than great, considering that my friends and I were the ones that never shut up during the whole tour. Everything was really good. It's just a little rushed, but considering what you get it is totally worth it. Consider to take with you a lot of snacks and food; it helps not to spend a lot of money and the "food courts/restaurants" aren't really that cheap; obviously considering that you are next to an attraction. Besides that, it's totally worth it, I recommend the tour! ;)
This tour was fun! I found this quick option and it was very economical. It's a great value for the money. It was very comfortable and the tour guide, Jonny, really took care of us and gave clear instructions. Accomodation was in a very good hotel. Only thing a bit disappointing, was that the bus started a bit late by an hour, and the next day also an hour of delay. So we had to skip one place from the itinerary (Corning Glass Museum). Otherwise, it was perfect! I will recommend to friends too.. thanks!
I am from Romania and I went on a 2 days tour to Niagara Falls, on May 24-25, 2014. I was very happy with the tour and our guide Kevin, was a very energetic, responsible and caring young man. Thank you, Kevin!
The tour was well arranged. The hotel was walking distance to Niagara Falls, which is a major plus point. The tour guide was helpful and accommodated all our requests. One point that I guess can be improved - the main attraction of the tour is Niagara Falls and we felt too little time was given in Niagara Falls. You should look at cutting down on Glass Museum and secret caves and instead give us more time to visit Niagara Falls. Goat Island should be added to the itinerary.
Overall it was very good experience. The bus and the hotel room are clean and good. The tour guides are friendly. We visited all the places mentioned in the itinerary except the Maid of the Mist which was not yet opened.
Overall,it was a great experience. This is my third experience with this company and it is getting better each time. I really appreciate the e-mails and text messages sent before and during the trip. The tour guide was very polite and sweet. Niagara Falls is worth the visit. Thank you!
Everything was very nice. I really enjoyed riding with the group- it was good company and a very relaxed trip. I loved the way it approached the time to see many things. Our guide was very friendly, courteous and helpful to all. His name was Mars, I give him my sincere thanks. The hotel (Quality Inn) was lovely, and highly recommended. I wish I had taken the 3-day tour instead of the 2-day one. I didn't do so because I was a little apprehensive, but not anymore! The staff who accompanied Mars also worked hard to make us feel good. Thank you very much indeed, greetings to all. I look forward to seeing you again soon.
We had so much fun on this trip. We went to the Thousand Islands, Niagara falls, and much more which was very nice. Our tour guide was very patient although her English was bad. But at least we understood!
I would recommend this trip to everyone! The price is right! Accommodation was awesome! Nice hotel..!
I would recommend this tour. They were very efficient with time, and considerate of passengers' needs on the long drives. Guide was knowledgeable. the bus was a bit cold towards the back, while the front was nice and warm. Thanks for a good trip!
Trip was good. Guide was friendly. Day 1, we visited Finger Park (very good), the Glass Factory Museum was good but entry fee was high compared to a museum.
I do not recommend you take all the optional tour admissions. Check your interests, then buy tickets for what you want. I didn't like A Native Journey: The Spirit of the Mist, it was a waste of $20.
The tour guide collected $25 for Niagara Falls In-Depth Tour but did not understand the price details.(Fort entry fee was $13, and power plant had free entry). I don't know why they charged the extra $12.
The trip was very good in short time but don't go for all of the optional admissions. if you want to enter, go personally
Trip was great, very good value - saw everything that was expected. We had 6 hours at Niagara Falls and was able to see all the attractions and have a nice meal. The guide Stone was very informative and constantly made sure we were clear on the itinerary and times we had to be back on the bus. He gave us extra time at Watkins Glen. The bus was comfortable with the exception of the air conditioner which was very cold and couldn't be turned off because the back of the bus got too hot. The driver was excellent and we had a smooth ride.
This tour was amazing! It was well organized and our tour guide Jennifer was amazing and had interesting facts about each place we visited. The places we went to were all amazing and totally worth the long trip, this is a tour I would take again. I loved it completely
For a 2 day trip to Niagara Falls at this price is reasonable and worth it. Certainly, we covered everything on the list . The tour guide was friendly. Few improvements can be done though to make it just perfect for all. There is no need to provide a restroom inside the bus when it will make everyone uncomfortable if someone uses it. Either lock it down or do not have it at all. For everybody's sake, have 1 more restroom stop than planned. For the itinerary, it would be helpful to put it correctly on the website rather than telling it on the last minute. Of course the website mentions everything, but the order of the attractions is a little bit scrambled than the actual schedule. We can skip the Corning Glass Museum stop and have lunch at Watkins Glen. It would allow more time there for the walk. It was good place to spend time. 1 hour walk was not enough to take pictures or feel the nature. My mom is old and she could not complete the walk in 1 hour, but she liked the place. Spirit of the Mist, Old Fort Niagara and Powerhouse tours can be skipped. Instead, they can arrange for Cave of the Winds at Niagara. Allow more time for people to spend at Niagara Falls. Maid of the Mist was the best of all. If we had more time, we could have taken another ride of it. Before getting down to any attraction, the tour guide should warn the visitors if elderly people need enter the place and come quickly. My mom had to struggle to come fast at her age. Since it was my first time, I didn't know if I should take my mom there or not. Passengers definitely need to cooperate to maintain the timings, or else it will be a trouble for all. It's very difficult for the tour guide and the driver to adjust the lost time, they did a good job though. It's tough for my mom to follow the speed of the tour guide everywhere, so it's better we would have known where we are walking, well in advance, so that we can plan accordingly. Overall, I have no regrets with the tour. If these improvements can be made, there will be more tourists on-board.
Everything was just awesome. If you get Isabel as your tour guide, she is just great. We got singing, quiet, laughter, sleep and tips. She was more than great, considering that my friends and I were the ones that never shut up during the whole tour.
Everything was really good. It's just a little rushed, but considering what you get is totally worth it.
Consider to take with you a lot of snacks and food; it helps no to spend a lot of money and the "food courts/restaurants" aren't really that cheap; obviously considering that you are next to an attraction.
Besides that, is totally worth it, I recommend the tour ;)
It was a well organized tour. It is basically a Chinese tour company targeting Chinese tourists. But we did have a mixture of tourists from various countries in our bus. The guide is expected to explain everything once in English and then Chinese, hence all guides are Chinese. Ours was 'Sunny'. She was a smart young girl, did a great job managing the 55 tourists in her bus. I gave only 3 stars for the itinerary because they had the Old Fort visit scheduled for early morning second day. It was very foggy and we could not really see anything farther than 20 feet. They should have it for the first day evening and maybe push the 'Native American dance' to the next day or even cancel it since it is not really worth the money. Otherwise I was really happy with the transportation, guide, accommodation and the cost. I would definitely recommend it.
Suggestion: It would be nice if they showed a little flexibility when it comes to requests from passengers. I asked to be dropped off in Buffalo on the way back since I had planned to fly from there. It would not have taken 10 mins to make that stop. The guide and driver declined the request outright. I had to take a cab.
I am from India , came to USA for site seeing, extending my official trip. It was great experience with this tour to Niagara. Very very comfortable trip and stay at the best hotels. Appreciate the hospitality and if permits, special note for tour guide Sunny, very energetic and caring for all memebers. overall great experience.
It was really a well organized trip where everything was guided very well. All the required facilities were provided like guide, bus and hotel. It was fabulous we had got a very experienced guide (Wendy) during our trip who organised the entire trip very nicely. The locations that we visited were excellent. Overall it was a great trip. The only point where we were tired was when we reached Niagara Falls after 8 hours of riding on the bus. We had a couple of stops where all the passengers were given time to have lunch and snacks. It is recommended that you bring more food along with you especially if you prefer your own taste.
We took this 2 days tour to Niagara last weekend and everything was well organized. The tour guide Gary was very nice & friendly. They also arranged visits to Watkins Glen park and Corning Glass museum on day 2. Thank you for the service!
This was a nice tour.
Tour Guide: very nice and cheerful fellow and managed things and people well.
Accommodation: it was pretty good.
Transportation: buses are decent and good enough for this journey.
Itinerary: We skipped the native indian show that gave us ample time to spend in Niagra. Corning Glass Meuseum and George Trail was also good.
We had a lot of fun on the tour. We could see all the places and there was enough time to enjoy at each of the spots. The only negative point was the breakdown of the bus while coming back which resulted in a 5 hour delay. Luckily for us it happened at the Falls and not in the middle of the road. Our tour guide Gary handled the situation very well and coordinated the drop off for every passenger. Everyone of us got a car service drop off and Gary was there till each and everyone got a drop.
It was a complete value for money trip.
It's a cheap trip so I can say that it was worth its price. There was big disorganization, the bus was dirty and stinky. The only good thing was the accommodation. The hotel is very comfy and the breakfast buffet was really delicious. So if you want to see Niagara Falls for little money it's a trip for you, but if you like luxury - don't choose it!
This was one of the best tours I have had.
Regarding Bus:Even though our seats were in the back, it was comfortable and we had Free Wi-Fi as well:).
The bus stops during the journey were on time/every 2-3 hours. Watkin Glens was really good place. When we reached Niagara in the evening, we decided not to go Theatre Show and preferred to enjoy Night View for long time. We had ample amount of time to watch this Night Beauty. We had issue in the hotel someone else was staying in allocated toom, but that's the problem at Hotel Mgmt Side, can't blame Taketours for that. On 2nd Day,we visited Niagara Old Fort which was also good. But the best part was the last one: "Maid of the mist"-It was truely amazing and awesome. I shall definately recommend this 2-day tour to everyone since it gives ample amount of time to enjoy Day/Night View of Niagara without any rush. Cheers!!
It was a well planned and cordianted journey. I woulnt have covered this much palaces if i waa traveling alone. Thanks L and L travel and Taketours.
If you ask me to take out one of the places we visited, i will go for finger lake. Nothing much to see over there. unless to go for a boat ride, which will take more time. And smokin joe's dance show was average. But most of the people liked it.
In this trip i had good as well as bad experiences which i would like to share.
Good Part: The itinerary and the places selected for trip
Bad Part: There are a few i try explaining them below:
1. Tour guide (Lawrance) collected a combined entrance fee of $85.5 per person for the below places, which i researched and found that was more than the actual cost. However group ticket would cost much cheaper.
a. Corning glass museum - $15
b. Smokin Joes Native Center (The spirit of mist show) - $20
c. Old Niagara Fort Niagara - $12
d. Niagara Power Project - No Fee
e. Maid of the Mist - $15.50
f. Watkins Glen State Park - No Fee
2. I travelled along with my wife and my daughter (2 and half year old), on the second day of tour, tour guide (Lawrance) asked for collecting $7 as service fee per person per day for himself and driver. I agreed to pay him for myself and my wife but he insisted on paying the service fee for my 2 and half year old daughter as well, which i had to pay him. But i was not happy with that. What service my daughter has taken? We had debate about paying the service fee for my daughter but he didn't agree with that.
Overall i had good experience in this tour except the bad part of discussion with the Tour Guide.
We went on this 2 day Niagara falls trip and we loved it. We had Melody as our Tour Guide, she was great very friendly and always making jokes to keep up the mood in the face of such a long journey. We made several stops en route to Niagara for food and restroom breaks. We had mostly English speaking people on the bus but Melody also spoke Mandarin for the few that spoke that language. Melody then went around with the price list for the activities. BE PREPARED to have cash on you if you wish to do these tours. I thought that was badly organised as we were informed we had no other option but to pay for the Watkins Glen tour which I thought was a bit rude. Niagara Falls was great we arrived around 8pm and then the others went on an extensive Niagara tour while some of us explored the restaurants and food courts. We stayed at the lovely Adams Mark Hotel in Buffalo. The following morning we headed back to Niagara to do the Maid of the Mist tour and its definitely worth it what a view. Overall would recommend, however the bus didnt have wifi and for an 8 hour bus journey it would have been nice.
The tour was overall good. Specially the tour guide (Katie) was very helpful and co-operative. Please give my regards to her.
I would like to mention points which need improvement: One was the itinery which was changed at the last minute, which led to confusion because we checked the itinery displayed on the website and decided on our plan, however this was changed when we started the tour. If we had known the exact itinery earlier we would have planned which spots we need to visit. The fort of niagara and power vista were not that good, but we selected it and later we realized that all people had instead opted out of it and enjoyed spending time at the main spot i.e. Niagara falls.
Secondly, much time was not given at Niagara falls, instead two spots were added while going and coming time which led to lot of delay because they were out of the way. We would prefer more time at Niagara falls which is the main destination of this tour.
Lastly, the tour was delayed on the 2nd day by more than 3 hours. I understand that this depends also on the passengers to a large extent, but it is needed to manage this better.
I took the tour to Niagara Falls on 31st Aug 2013 with friends. On the plus side, our driver Louis was excellent - very helpful, exceptional driver, very quiet but reliable. The tour guide Sophia was also very nice and managed the tour very well. Overall a very decent experience. On the flip side, they gave us seat numbers on the voucher but there were no seat markings on the bus and this led to great confusion and chaos. Family members could not sit next to each other as people would occupy any seat - we lost some time arguing and shouting. Also they sold all seats including the rear ones, people who sat on those seats had all the views blocked. This should not happen.
Again, a Holiday Inn hotel was promised but landed in a different hotel with no free breakfast. Anyway the hotel was not too far from the falls and was otherwise decent.
Overall, a nice experience.
Day 1) we went to niagara, took maid of mist first and had nice boat trip inside and near to niagra falls[canada side]. really enjoyed that alot.
did went for any movie and dance. guide gave us 5 hour[4:00-9:30] to check different points at niagara. we went to goat island and other small island and really enjoyed alot. then we came to hotel around 11:00 , hotel was really good.
Day 2) we went to walking park that again good we were there for 1:45 minutes due to lots of crowd[take care will going there as there are many narrow paths and almost were wet.
Then went to corning museum and enjoyed alot . we came back to our starting point white caste, jersey city around 7:30.
overall trip was good and guide was very nice we enjoyed outside and inside the bus.
It was a very well organized tour. Before the tour began, the tour leader called us up to explain the bus reporting time as well as what things to carry for the trip. Sophia (our tour manager) was very efficient and knowledgeable. She always kept the group on time and provided useful tips. The overnight hotel stay as wonderful. Overall the tour was very memorable and I wish to take such tours in future from take tours.
I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It is exactly as advertised -- a whirlwind 2-day tour with about 18 hours on the bus, 8 hours at the hotel and 10-12 hours at the attractions. It is not for the faint hearted or those who wish to spend a lot of time at the falls themselves.
Be aware that the listed price includes only bus and hotel -- all fees for all attractions cost extra and are expected to be paid IN CASH on the first leg of the trip. Be careful! These are extras and are OPTIONAL but the website and guides make it seem like they are not. Also, be aware that paying the tour guides/bus driver "service fees" IS NOT OPTIONAL!!! The guide(s) will collect $7 per day per person IN CASH on the ride back. You may give more than that if you wish.
A few other warnings:
1) At your pick-up point, be sure to seek out the check-in person as he/she doesn't seek out all who are waiting.
2) The "guides" are really just escorts -- they do little if any narration on the bus or at the attractions.
3) My tour guides gave all instructions and directions in both English and Chinese and sometimes the English was difficult to understand.
As I said at the start, I thoroughly enjoyed this trip and would recommend it to anyone. It is exactly what I expected but not so for others on my bus, which is why I've take the time to mention the points above. If you are aware of these points, I think you will very much enjoy this quick but enjoyable trip to Niagara Falls!
Overall Was not a bad trip. Things I didn't like are as follows. I was told the day before the trip that we had to give tour guides tip and bus driver also they wanted us to give our money upfront for the boat watkins glen falls and corning museum which was not told to me upfront also i was not aware that we will be hiking through the park and would have been better in comfortable sneakers. We were not told that. Though but tour ladies were very pleasant it would have be nice if they spoke the english language much better.
It was an amazing trip. Everything went as scheduled except for the Native American show which was cancelled but for a good reason. It was cancelled to spend more time in Niagara Falls which was the main reason of going on the trip. Overall it was amazing and I definitely recommend it.
This was my first tour booked on TakeTours and I had a fairly good experience. The tour guide- Mark was very funny and knowledgeable but very particular about timing and did not like late comers during the tour. The tour started from Jersey City at around 8:30 AM and there was a change in the itinerary owing to it being a holiday weekend. We first went straight to Niagara Falls and did the Maid of the Mist which is the highlight of the trip followed by night time illumination of the Niagara Falls. I personally did not like the Spirit of the Mistť and wished instead of spending 20 bucks on that we could have spent more time near the falls or see the Niagara Aquarium.
We stayed in Rochester for the night where the hotel was a pretty decent one and started day 2 at 8:00 AM. We visited Finger lake Seneca, Watkins Glen and Corning Glass museum before heading back to Jersey City at around 8:45 PM which is good considering we beat the Long weekend traffic.
Coming back to pros- I think the tour was well managed, the bus was good (Air Conditioned), seats were comfy and the driver/guide were supportive.
Cons- Be prepared for long spells inside the bus. The bus had toilets but was not allowed to use unless you have an absolute emergencyť. The driver did provide toilet breaks in every 2-3 hours but its bit of a problem if you are travelling with elders/children.
Important Tip- Please please please carry Cash with you. Apart from the tickets, the guide took $65 per head for all the attractions and parking and all the food in Niagara, etc. that you will purchase will be Cash Onlyť most of the time. The driver did stop at regular intervals for lunch/dinner in standard restaurants like McDonald's, Wendy's, etc. Also note- The service charge for driver/guide is minimum $7 per person per day. So for a 2 day tour it turns out to be minimum $14 and its purely cash only. Of course you can give more tips as you please but that is the minimum.
Overall it was an enjoyable tour and monies worth and I and my wife look forward to more such tours.
The bus driver was good, the tour guide Aaron, was a young Chinese guy. Aaron was really nice, but it was difficult to understand his English. Also, I wish he would have talked some more during the ride and point out some attractions. The bus driver would give some info on attractions we were passing but to the tour guide, but the tour guide didn't relay that information to the group. We stopped to get lunch at a rest area where they had McDonald, and subway there. We got to Niagara around 5 and did the Maid of the Mist which was about 20 minutes only but it was well worth it. The show and Imax I didn't do because I hear its not worth it. I spent the other 2 hours or so touring myself and walked to the horseshoe falls...I DEFINITELY recommend it if you have time, but its a bit of a walk away..The hotel was good, but i really hoped that they would've had a hot breakfast included. We didn't have any opportunity to eat until we got to Corning Glass Museum around noon. We also stopped by Watkins Glen's gorge which was a nice walk. Corning is also nice, but we were only there for an hour and half. I've been there before and you really need all day there. The ride back felt like days and was exhausted by the time I got back. Either way, it is inexpensive and worth the money. FYI you have to spend about $15.50 each for the Maid of the mist and the show and imax is additional too. Watkins glen is $10/per person and Corning I think was $15 extra. Also, you have to pay a mandatory service charge of $7/person per day ($14 for the 2 day trip per person). Everything is cash only so bring cash!! also highly recommend you bring snacks and drinks for the bus ride. REALLY wish the bus had wifi and outlets for charging...that would've made the bus 5 stars.
it's second tour im taking and im happy with what I get for this price. hotels is always very nice, stops for food always cheep and nice. guide tries his best to show as much as possible, but yes, you will be rushed. we brought home nice
I really liked the way the trip was organized. The tour guide Jupiter was informative, entertaining and responsible. The hotel arranged for stay was pretty decent. Just that there could have been more time dedicated for the Corning glass center on the second day. Overall whatever you get is worth the money you spend for this trip.
We had a good experience booking through taketours. The guide was very helpful and friendly. Though we were rushed throughout, we visited all attractions. My only suggestion is,they could include Cave of the winds as it is a main attraction in Niagara.Overall Experience was good.
1.It depends on the tour guide what all attraction's you will visit and not on the list which you see when you book the ticket. In my case I came to know that we are going to thousand islands (which meant that we spent almost 12 hrs of the first day in bus only so i would suggest not to take two day tour including thousand island in the itinerary) when guide announced the list of places we will visit. So please confirm the places/attractions before booking the ticket and only on confirmation book the ticket.
2.Old fort Niagara is not so impressive and they charge you $25 (although the fee is $12) saying that they will also take you to Power Vista for which there is no entry fee. So you may want to skip this(the in-depth tour which includes these two places) and rather spend some more time near niagara falls. If you are two or more people you can save more than $50 which can cover for your food expenses.
3.If possible try buying your own ticket's from the window instead of paying money to tour guide.
4.Apart from above points tour was good.
This was most excellet planned and timed. I would love to travel with boy guide called Ray (I hope I am spelling correct), we enjoyed his * his friend's campany as guide all the way. Though time spent at Niagara was more, it would have been little more :). The hotel stay was really great. I would have prefered our bus to stay some place near to Pizza centers, as few of our parents from India may not like the chinese food. But it was great, hope we stop in in pizza center next....have fun
Our tour guide was excellent as well as our bus driver.I have never seen the bus driver like him such a helpful person and very cool guy. The tour was excellent . The only thing i felt that they have change the itenary the first day tour places they made 2nd day and the first day they made it second days.I am a very organized person and need to see a schedule which I highly recommend that should be implemented.
Having taken the tour to Niagara Falls (July 31-Aug), I would like to compliment Andy and Will for their tremendous effort and care during our trip. They really worked so hard to make sure we got the most out of our trip. It was non stop action. They made jokes and kept us in good spirits --even when a few passengers returned late to the bus. The minimized the fuss and kept everyone on schedule. They were always 100% helpful, friendly and professional.
I cannot thank them enough.
This was truly an amazing trip full of unexpected surprises. How else would I ever witness the awesome power/majesty of Niagra Falls? The visit to the gorge (Watkins) was just breathtaking and heavenly. The hotel was surprisingly a top facility.
The only surprise was the ~$85/person to cover all of the attractions. It would be nice if that amount was mentioned in the ad. But overall, it was an awesome experience. I would like to thank and compliment our two very hardworking and dedicated guides: Will and Andy --who really worked so hard to ensure our trip was successful, enjoyable and memorable.
I did this trip to niagra in July with family visiting from Ireland, we were all really impressed by the the tour, we had a great guide, and although the bus was late departing we visited everywhere mentioned on the itenary, the journey upstate is fine as you stop numerous times, journey back though is long with only few toilet breaks so I would advice packing food... Lastly we stayed @ holiday inn in downtown buffalo located about 20 minutes from niagra which is another beautiful location... I would most definately recommend this tour as we had a fantastic time...
Derick is a great tour guide. The tour turns out to be so tiring though. They changed the itinerary, so instead of going to Watkins Glen on the 1st day and watch the night illumination then be on Niagara Falls the next morning too, to do the Maid of the Mist etc.. We ended up doing all the Niagara itinerary on the 1st day. We traveled more than 6 hours that 1st day so we arrive at Niagara around past 5 pm. There's just not enough to just sit there and enjoy the view. We had like 4 hours to do all the Niagara itinerary and that includes dinner.. So that's disappointing. They did added Corning museum to our itinerary. So the 2nd day, we went to Watkins fall and corning museum, but really I did not care much about it. I wanted more time in Niagara, and I think everyone in the tour felt the same way.. Its also funny how they gave us 2 hours in the museum, when there's really nothing to do in there.
This is my very first tour trip and the trip was worth the money paid. It was better than what I actually expected. Our tour guide was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation booked by them was very nice and comfortable. Everything was very well organized.
Overall nice experience at this price of 108+14. Guide was good. Corning Glass museum was good, Native show was OK, Niagara fantastic, Fort And Power House good and Watkins Glen Nice. Bit hectic for senior citizens. Fees for attractions should be indicated at the time of booking as it is to be paid in cash. Which are about 85 per adult, 79 per senior citizen. Food available at Niagara was OK.
The tour was awesome! I was impressed from everything: organization, cool tour guides (made karaoke at the end of the bus tour)etc.
Also when the bus for pick up in NY was to late we where fast on the way back home.
Everything went okay. The tour guide was a bit rude & because she does not speak English, we had trouble with communication. It will be a lot better to give flyers of events or play a video to communicate with group. Also charging $7.00/day per person was too much of gratuities.
OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT. WE ENJOYED A LOT.
site scenes are very beautiful. Niagara fall is fantastic, one must visit there. Niagara Falls "Maid of the Mist" Boat Ride, A boat will take you to Water rushes all around as you "soak" in the excitement and explore the roar of the Falls. You will see the rainbow and click the snaps.
watekins glen state park is awesome place, I just cannot define in words BUT It is not for old people who have knee pain because of slippery path and it has too many steps. So be careful if you are with your old parents.
Native American show is interesting , person who is interested in culture should hit on show. Artist are
In corning glass museum, showpieces are really nice, You can purchase them. The Hot Glass Show is a live, narrated glassblowing demonstration, Show will give you a unique appreciation for the skill and artistry.
So many other attractions are there. We need at least 4-5 day to explore them. If you planning then hit the tour, Best of luck .. Enjoy your trip.
I went here on and was just speachless at how utterly wonderful the place was! I did the maids of the mist and that is so good! Logan Lio our guide was really good and had good knowledge of the area and a good laugh!
We did 2 day tour on July 5th and July 6th of 2013 and overall experience was great. They time schedule was perfect. The tour guides were very friendly and they have a time manangement skill. It was a july 4th weekend and we expected too much crowded and traffic but because of their excellent time management, we didn't caught the traffic and we were ahead and never had to worry about being in crowd. The hotel accomodation was great. We left China Town on time and we are back to China town on time. It was a great experience. Thanks for the service.
This is a very good tour and really enjoyed with out tiredness. Junie was our guide and she is good in organizing the trip. The bus was always on time on every attraction.
Quality Inn Accomodation next to the Rochester aiprort was not so great though. Kind of okay, the room is neat, but little bit smelly. The TV is age old and seriously needs an upgrade.
Breakfast was free though they said it is to be paid.
The highlight and must-see place in the whole trip was WATKINS GLEN trail. It was little hectic with the kids and parents, but enjoyed it thoroughly.
The old fort of niagara was cancelled in the trip to save time.
The time in Corning museum was not enough. It was just little above one hour given. We could finish only the hot glass show and finish the lunch.
Overall the trip was really good.
Our 2-day tour package to Niagara Falls on 4th and 5th of July 2013 went very pleasantly. Our guide Sophie coordinated well through the tour and we are very happy with the service provided. I went with my family and we all enjoyed together. Sophie has been an excellent guide at all times and we shall recommend this guide to all our friends in future to make their trips successful and a memorable experience. The driver of the bus continued to be courteous and very professional. Overall, it was one of our finest trips.
I took the tour last June 29th. We boarded the bus late by more than 30 minutes. After this we made two more stops to pick up more passengers.
After this the tour went well, our guide was very friendly with us. One thing to take into consideration is that they changed the itinerary. According to the website we were suppose to arrive at Niagara Falls to see the night view the first day and the the second day we were supposed to take the maid of the mist. It did not happen that way, we ended up with only 3 hours visit to the falls and we were not able to really enjoy the night view since we need to leave at 9:30 PM to the hotel and it was not dark enough to enjoy it. The hotel was in Rochester located 1:30 hours from the Niagara Falls. The hotel was very good, Quality Inn. Something to comment about is the 7 dollars fee we need to pay per day/per passenger including infants, this is a must pay tip for the driver and the guide.
She was repeating this during the whole tour. I ended up paying additional 56 dollars for me, my wife and two little kids.
In summary, I would recommend this tour to anybody, just take my comments into consideration.
1. Service charge of $7 per person, per day was not expected. I ended up spending an additional unexpected fee of $56 for four of us. Remember, even the free ticket passenger has to pay this fee.
2. Advice to all travelers: buy your maid of the mist and cave of the winds tickets online to get discounts. The "tour guides" charge in full they don't even get you volume discounts.
3. Skip the Native Indian show. Go on your own to the cave of the winds. It is easy to access and worth much more for half the price you will pay for the show.
Positives: Decent hotel (R.I.T at Rochester), fairly comfortable bus, and well timed.
It was really a well-organized trip and excellent where everything was guided very well and well planned. All the required facilities were provided like guide, bus and hotel and time calculation for each spot as mentioned in website. It was fabulous we had got a very experienced guide during our trip who directed the trip very nicely. The locations that we visited were excellent. Overall it was a great & wonderful trip. The only point where we were tired was when we reached Niagara Falls after 8 hours of riding on the bus. We had a couple of stops where all the passengers were given time to have lunch and snacks. It is recommended that you bring more food and more water bottles along with you especially if you prefer your own taste.
I really loved it and recommend it a lot!
Actually I booked it thinking I was only going to know Niagara Falls, but fortunately the tour has 5 more attractions which were great (eg: Watkins glen, the corning glass museum, old fort niagara, obviously Niagara falls and the famous boat: the maid of mist). All of them amazing.
The tour guide, Sophie Wang, was the best; she was very kind, was caring a lot about all the tourist she had in charge, and she did a huge effort to make sure that everything went well and all people had fun and enjoyed the trip.
The hotel was a Holliday inn, which I usally love, and even though the bathroom was not very clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast fine.
ps: Take into account that the tour is in English and Chinese, not in Spanish, then please do not book it if you don't speak a word in english!
It was a great, very-well planned trip. The accommodation provided was really good. The only thing is that it was hot outside and the bus wasn't cool enough either. Our guide Tom was very helpful and very nice.
We did this tour, it was great. We enjoyed it a lot, everything was well organized. The best part of this tour was, they have choose the best attractions and fit them into excellent schedule. Every attraction was amazing.
1. The only thing which we didn't like is the service charges for infants otherwise trip was awesome.
2. Tour Guide are so cooperative and helpful,
3. Accomodation was awesome(Raddison),
4. Bus was not upto expectatons. Restroom was not opened had been closed after saying its not working.
5. itinerary - Is upto expectatons as mentioned in the tour details.
I write with the automatic translator. (The system can not show Russian language).
We went on May 20-21. Basically all liked it, but there are nuances. In the description of the tour states that this price does not include entrance fees, this fair warning, but the guides charge a service fee even further! This is not a tips, which is usually given in gratitude, it is mandatory spending! In my opinion, it is wrong and outrageous! In fact, the tour more expensive. Another point: Econolodge Hotel is an hour's drive from the waterfalls. Thus, we spent 2 hours on the way there and back. This time can be used in another way, if we spent the night near the Niagara.
Now about nice moment. The route is magnificent, we visited the Old Fort and Power Vista, some coaches do not stops there. Bus is comfortable, guide is sociable, really he gripped the surrender of $5 and forgot. But that did not stop him extort "service charges".
Niagara is beautiful, mighty! I would like a little more time, but it turned out all the running. Sometimes we had to choose to be photographed or have a lunch.
It was a awesome experience to visit Niagara with take tours.Tour guide DERRECK was good, he helped us. Accomadation was superb. Transportaion was also superb. Our itinerary was less compare to other bus no. from the same tour. I recommed this tour!
I traveled to Niagara Falls on May 27t-28th, 2013 with my kids, Uncle and Aunt (visiting us from India). We all had a great time together, the guides Ms.Casey and Ms.Kitty were very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. They tried to make it as lively and enjoyable as possible. The accommodation was very good and the tour was very well organized. Both my uncle and aunt were very pleased with the trip. One strong suggestion is that it is better to pack food if you have personal preferences....Last but not the least, I would like to thank one of the guides I think it is Ms.Kitty who went out of her way to bring us back the sweat shirt my daughter had forgotten in the bus when we were dropped off at our
location. I definitely recommend this tour to all my friends and family.
This was our first tour with TakeTours and we have enjoyed a lot . However I would like to mention some points.
Power Vista, 3d Movie and Niagara Fort was included in our itinerary but was changed in the tour. My suggestion is please let the people know if there is any pre decided change in the itinerary.
However I would like to thank our tour leader Jenny and our bus driver Frank for making the tour enjoyable.
The itinerary was good and well coordinated. Bus was clean and driver was good. Safe and steady driving. The corning factory and Niagara maid of mist is worth the trip. The accommodation was bad and the breakfast could be better coordinated.
It was a nice tour. The tour guide was Y & Y. He was wonderful in his skills and communication. He knew everything we wanted. Everything was well planned. He too care of everything. The only problem was the tour became hectic the next day, as we were to get ready at 7 am in morning, which means waking up at 5:30 am. So there was no time for breakfast and we were not allowed even coffee in the bus. Else everything was wonderful. Special compliment to our driver Jack , who drove very well. with best compliments. Kamal Arora and family(India)
This tour is good and I recommend anyone who is interested in this, they showed all below attraction.
This includes night view of Niagara which is best of all.
Watkins Glen State Park
Night view of Niagara
Niagara Power Vista
Old Fort Niagara and Maid of the Mist
Our tour guide Tom was excellent as well as our bus driver.
The only concern I have is that I would've liked an outline of how the days are scheduled because it was a little upsetting that we would get told at the last mintue the next things we would be doing. I am a very organized person and need to see a schedule which I highly recommend that should be implemented.
Very well organized itinerary. Although a bit rushed, you get to see a lot of sights in a very short period of time. My wife and I loved the fireworks over Niagara Falls on the 4th of July. It was breathtaking! The hotel was decent but a little far from Niagara Falls. The joints where we stopped to eat were nothing special varying from a ubiquitous Burger King to a Chinese Buffet.
I joined the tour on 6 to 7 March, it was a very good experience. The tour guide is very friendly & informative the tour is well organise too. The view is lovely and I have quite alot of time to take pics as the tour mates and tour guide is very helpful in helping me taking the beautiful pics there since I am alone. He also share the stories of the twin bridges and some history of Niagara old fort and power vista. The hotel is clean and wifi is provided and it's pretty fast therefore basically everything was very well organise and I am very pleased with the package.
I had a fantastic time on this tour! My friends said I needed at least 3 days to do Niagara and since I was in the US for just two weeks, I had to find a quick option. I was referred to Taketours.com and booked it online before I left India. Its great value for money. Inspite of Hurricane Sandy the tour ran to schedule and it was very professional, comfortable and the tour guide really took care and gave clear instructions. Thanks, Taketours.com/LL Travels, for making Niagara happen for me!
I will highly recommend this to everyone. Tom, our guide was excellent and very cordial. Watkins Glen was beautiful. Only one suggestion is to include Cave of the Winds in the itinerary so that tourists do not miss out on this attraction.
Overall had a wonderful time.
It was really a well organized trip where everything was guided very well. All the required facilities were provided like guide, bus and hotel. It was fabulous we had got a very experienced guide (Mina) during our trip who directed the trip very nicely.
Trip was really wonderful. It was perfectly organized and enought time was given to look around the spots. Looking forward to another trip with Take Tours..Keep up the good work:)Special thanks to the bus driver and the tour organizer Mina
The tour was good, tour guide was excellent in her management. Enough time was given for each attraction. Regular breaks were given for refreshments/restrooms.
One downside was driver was not aware of roads, at one moment he almost went into Canada. While coming back they promised to stop at Journal square (as many people were from jersey city) but as they made stop somewhere near to Holland tunnel as driver lost his way and was struggling to find proper way for almost 30 mins!
Amazing experience... a very well planned tour if you are to visit Niagara for the first time and especially when ure short of time. Sean and James were tremendous at their job and the driver drove as safe as possible althrough. there are only 2 suggestions that I can give - Hotel accommodation should be near to the falls and not distant, secondly you should also provide tourists with the option of Cave of the Winds because not many will get back and see Niagara and from a tourist point of view, you would wanna cover all activities at Niagara rather than skipping a few and later repend.... Cheers!!!
It was my first visit to Niagara Falls with my mom and I must agree Taketours made it a memorable 2 day trip. The smile on my Mom's face is the trigger to write this review and congratulate Taketour Team for their good work. Our tour guide Mandali was perfect guide one could ever have. Keep up the good work and will recommend this to others too.
Trip was awesome.Everything was well organized.Just a suggestion for the team,If the Stay time at Niagra could be increased for few more hours as we missed few of the attractions there due to lack of time.
The 2-day tour for Niagara Falls, Watkins Glen, and Corning Glass Museum was awesome!! Tour guides Mars & Kevin were great. Mars called us a day before tour, and instructed us what to bring and where to meet.
It was a Labor day weekend. So there was rush in all attractions. However, the tour guides managed time in such a way that we finished all attractions without waiting too long. Thanks guys!!!
Our first trip in US. We travelled with our two kids ( 3 and 6 years) to Niagara falls, took the 2 day trip.. Everything was well planned by the tour guides and it was way above expectations. Day and Night view at Niagara was excellent and a great experience in Maid of the Mist. Watkins Glen is very good experience. My adviceis take lot of snacks and water with you if travelling with kids.. Hotel stay is excellent. Only missing is breakfast. It took 2 hours to get some breakfast and if there is attraction planned then it is a problem with kids.. otherwise everything is just great. Looking forward for Boston and Florida trips...
Kate and Linda were excellent tour guides, this is my 2nd time with TakeTours and they never disappoint me. They are organized, they care a lot about us and they do everything they can to make us happy! Thanks guys!
Well organized. Thanks to Pak Man, our Guide and Peter, our Driver for a wonderful trip. Pak Man deserves all the credit for keeping the flock together. Could have spent much more time at the Niagara Falls rather than at the Seneca Lake and Old Niagara Fort.
My family from WA came to visit and definitely enjoyed the tour to NIAGARA from NYC. This is their first bus tour experience and they are convinced that they will now join bus tours at every new place they go to. Mars and Ronnie were funny and so is Dave our bus driver. They tried very hard to get the bus to leave on time (even with all those stragglers who don't seem to care that they are holding everyone up). Kudos to our tour guides for trying hard to handle them.
We were only disappointed for not being able to go to the Power Plant tour due to traffic and could not make it on time. With three engineers in my family, we wanted to see that. Hopefully, my next trip to Niagara with this tour, we can see the power plant.
it was a great tour. well organized, but too little time.
the glass factory and the energy center could omit it.
It would be more time for watkins glenn, and old fort niagara. niagara falls.
then you might have the time over the rainbow bridge to go to canada.
nice but way too much crammed excursion for a short time, sometimes less is more.
Had a great time with this niagara tour, only thing this L&L tours should look at is giving the old fort niagara and power vista a miss and include cave of the winds in their plan. Many ppl in our bus skipped these two attractions and went to cave of the winds.
The tour is excellent. The driver Mr Dave was jovial, the tour guides Ronnie and Mars were wonderful. The hotel was very comfortable. My mom who came all the way from India could not stop raving about the trip. Highly recommended if you are looking to cover Niagara in 2 days. Its worth the cost 100%
The tour was really well organized. The guides Scott and Ricky made us comfortable. Special thanks for the driver Darlene. She was always present with a smiling face to welcome the passengers back on the bus after visits to attraction. However they should have covered Power Vista which was mentioned in the tour.
This tour was perfect. Stella was an extremely safe driver. Mina our tour guide was just as amazing - always informative, knowledgeable, friendly, responsible and patient. The sites and the hotel were above expectations. I highly recommend this trip to others. The bus ride is (obviously) long, but it's all worth while. Thank you Mina. (Jaime)
Me & my wife went for this tour and we enjoyed all of it. The tour was as expected and satisfactory. I checked each details on this website before booking the tickets and I got all that was mentioned. It was great experience. I will be taking Washington Philadelphia tour shortly.
The Tour for 2 days for Niagara Falls,Corning Museum and Watkins Glen Park State was worth the money. Tour guide Ms. Song was great. There are few things you would want to considerate before booking any trip.
1) The attraction fees should be included or option to pay CASH while on tour. 2) Hotel was good and comfortable but compared to the hotel breakfast was not included.Traveling with kids n seniors makes it impossible to find fresh food or coffee. You rely on the tour bus to drive you around to find breakfast. The Breakfast at the motel was not cheap.$3 for small coffee and $8 for small breakfast. How much food can you carry for 2 days and not fresh? Getting free breakfast should be a plus atleast milk for kids, seniors and for all. 3) Wear a light jacket or a small warm blanket. 4) The food-court should give group discounts to the tour passengers. 5) The attractions tickets were same price as listed by the attractions but passengers should have been given discounts of tickets due to group rates of 52 people. 6) Bus seats were not comfortable as bus was old.Foot rests were broken.Window shields were torn as well.
All though the trip was fun. ABSOLUTELY CASH needed for Niagara Falls U.S side for food, gift shops. No CREDIT CARDS :((
The Bus driver DELLA was great driver and very patient with late passengers.Ms.Song and Ms.Della did a good job handling 52 passengers.
They should have played a DVD movie for children 7.5 hrs trip is uneasy time to kill. The first day Departure was 1.5 hrs delayed due to D.O.T BUS INSPECTION so the trip scheduled was changed.
We had 80% South Indians on the trip, Spanish, Chinese. We are New Yorkers so I didn't care about ethnicity. Wi-Fi was ok to use. Nothing special. People were more sleepy to use Wi-Fi. :))
Will take Trip AGAIN with "Take Tours Company".
Kate & Katie & Driver Dave were great. They got it all organized; well trained staff; provided excellent service. The $62.50 that they collected in the bus was a surprised to me. GotoBus website did not disclose this info.
Under the "Details" section of the tour page, you'll find "Exclusions". Here, we list the costs that are not included in your purchase price. Hope this clears up any confusion.
This is our 4th tour with Gotobus, they rock ! This tour was well planned, no delays, so comfortable. We enjoyed a lot. They managed it so well, we are thankful to all the team members of this tour. They will arrange advance tickets for attractions, food breaks, rest breaks, pick-ups, drop points, all in advance. Good job !
This tour was amazing. Time allocated for the attractions was ufficient. Hotel allocated to us was Radison located 1.5 hrs before Niagara. Tour Guide Sean and Cecelia were very helpful... were in touch by text and their cell numbers and also following up if any one was getting back late. Food courts were excellent. Washroom breaks were periodic in aprox 4 hrs. But overall this tour is a must do! Thumbs up for this one!
This tour was simply amazing! We reached everywhere on time and had sufficient time to spend at all the places. The hotel was ok. Our tour guide Mina was awesome! The places they stopped at for food were also great. The only problem we faced was that there were kids in the bus who were literally shouting all the time. I think in the future you should try to make sure that other passengers don't get disturbed. But overall this tour is a must do! Thumbs up for this one!
This was my first tour with Take Tours. I must say i had a great time. The tour to Niagara was a thrilling experience. The tour was well arranged and we were provided with the best of facilities. We were put up in Hotel Radisson (1 1/2 hrs from Niagara) for the night which was also an amazing hotel. Lastly I would like to thank our tour guides, Sean and Cecilia for being so cooperative and helpful through out the tour.
I went to the 2 day trip for Niagara and Corning Glass Museum. Marc was our tour guide. The tour was hectic, but overall worth the price. The hotel was very good. But, the best part was Mark. He was an excellent tour guide and extremely cooperative. Helped us in every respect. Shall go with TakeTours in future too.
I enjoyed lot very much with my family in 2 days Niagara trip. Day view and night view is excellent. Maid of mist most forgettable movement in my life. it is very thrilling. Watkins Glen state park is wonderful. Especially Geroge trail is very thrilling and enjoyed lot. Geroger trail ride is most forgetful. Lot of amazing items in Corning glass factory. My guide Jupitor is very cool and nice guy. He has lot of patiently and controlled very well to all the people. Over all the tour is cheap and best. I would prefer another tour from this company. I am planning for another tour from Take Tours.
Corning is world renowned for its glassmaking past and present. Here, you can discover the art, history and science of glass at the Corning Museum of Glass which houses one of the world's most comprehensive collections of glass objects from antiquity to the present! I must say you have to tour for a while, then watch a glass-blowing demonstration or take a short break and then continue because it is an overwhelming place with sooooo much to see! We particularly enjoyed the "time line" exhibit and then ventured into special exhibits. The glass-blowing exhibit was very interesting. Night view of Niagara was just breathtaking! Hotel was fine for that price. My second trip and not the last one!$)))
The 2-day Niagara tour was amazing, I am at a loss for words to best describe it. Maid of the Mist was awesome, Corning was worth the trip, and although we missed Watkins Glen because of the bad weather, the tour guide made sure we passed by Seneca, which was beautiful. Our driver, Diana, was efficient and safe. Our tour guide, Will Chan, was the best part of the tour. He was attentive, knowledgeable, organized, funny, and very kind to everyone. I will surely refer this tour to all my friends who love to travel. Also, I won't mind at all taking the tour again in the future.
So, there were restrooms in the bus, but no one was allowed to use it. I had a 2yr old and it was tough to not have him use the restroom. Also, there was no breakfast at the hotel, so we had to wait till we get to a rest area to get a coffee which was another 2 hrs from the hotel. Poor management. I hope this gets better as I intend to take other trips using them. Only time will tell.
I went with two of my friends and we liked it a lot!! everything was well organized and our tour guide Ray was great in doing that! Our group was first at the all attractions, so we didn't spend to much time in lines, which was great! The hotel was clean and nice! Our group was well cooperated and everybody was coming back to the meeting points on time so we were not delayed by waiting! Great weather and great pictures! This was my first experience with this travel agency but I definitely recommend this tour!
This was an okay trip... Most of the passengers on the bus were asian and the tour guide had a heavy asian accent which made it difficult for us to understand what he was saying. The tour guide did not let us know that the movie was optional and he also did not guide us to the movie theater or give us any tickets for it... The only thing we enjoyed was the Maid of the mist. Also the hotel we stayed at was pretty good as well.
Good trip. However, there was no breakfast provided in the hotel. Usually on such trip when you stay overnight in the hotel, you have the breakfast in the morning. Also, the programme was changed in the last minute. One more thing to note is that the movies in the bus is not for kids. We should keep in mind that the movies you show should be a family movie which can be seen by children of all ages.
The above points can be taken as scope for further improvement.
Overall the tour was worth the time and money we spent. If you do not want to rent a car then this is a good option. At times, I did feel that the time spent at locations was a little less but that would always be the case when travelling with a group.
Over all enjoyed the trip, except a few glitches during the trip. There is always an alarm ringing on you, which is kind of spoil spot when you are enjoying the place. I recommend to increase cost of tour and introduce new tour to add one more day to this tour,so that each place can be provided enough time.
Over all the place is worth to visit, if you want to cover it in two days this would be the best option, if you can afford a couple of more days, would rather prefer taking own car.
Overall, this tour was completely above expectations and would love to go back again. The tour covered multiple places in & around Niagara, Corning glass musuem and Watkins Glen. Lots of places to watch & enjoy. Very well co-ordinated so that you don't even have to stand in queue anywhere to buy tickets. Bus journey was good and accomodation was extremely good and completely above expectations. It is a bit hectic tour but it was worth it.
Overall tour was great. Niagara day/night view, walkins park, corning glass museum. Corning glass show probably can be skipped (entry to museum is free though) as overall time i believe is less to cover both show and museum. Hotel was also good and so was the tour guide.
Things I Like:
1. Wonderful trip to Niagara
2. Lots of information from guide and very supportive
3. Very safe driver
Things needs to be consider before trip
1. We have paid $60 per head for admission tickets (maid of the mist, cave of the winds, Niagara Theatre, glass museum). If you buy all the tickets online then you can save minimum 15-20 dollars and theater is not worth for money.
2. Additional $12 per person for guide.
3. We had time only to have lunch in the glass museum; the amount paid for the ticket was utterly waste
4. If you go with kids then you will get enough time in Watkins Glenť. Within 70 minutes you can't cover everything.
I visited with my two kids ( 3 and 6) on the Labour Day weekend. We all enjoyed the trip very much. The tour guide Issac was very cooperative and knowledgeable. The Bus driver Dave was excellent.
PROS: The tour is very economical and worth the money spent.
The Itinerary is well planned and you get to see many things in two days.
The night stay was in Holiday Inn and was very comfortable.
The Tour is kid friendly ( atleast my little kids enjoyed it very much)
You can bring your own food and drinks on the bus.
Good and civilized people in out tour group. We had a very diverse crowd ( Chinese, Koreans, Russians, Indians and I am from Pakistan)
Good tour guide made the trip memorable. Made sure that we reach in time so see the Fireworks at the Niagra
CONS: The tour didn't start on time and was 20 minutes late.
It might become a bit tiring for the senior citizens
The tour cost is low but other costs add up. 49 dollars per person for the admission fees, 12 dollars per person per day as the service fee etc.
Time for corning glass museum was way too less.
This tour IS a MUST. Very economical. I would recommend that you buy tickets online for the corning glass museum. It will save you 10 minutes at the ticket counter.
It was our first tour with TakeTours. My husband and I were both pleased with the tour. The tour guide was great and the bus driver was reliable. The only thing I did not like is that we did not have enough time in each place. Overall a great tour and would go on tours with them again.
I really enjoyed myself. We traveled safely and returned home with no problems... thanks to our bus driver, excellent! I was a little apprehensive at first but now I will be arranging another trip in the near future. Good luck and happy travels to all
The trip was really good. It was scheduled very nicely. We enjoyed the trip very much... it was relaxing. Especially Seneca falls. Superb! Thank you for the guide Felisa and our driver(Forgot his name)
We had wonderful trip to Niagara Falls on July 6th 2011. Last minuets plan we were not sure and what to expected for our first bus trip to Niagara Fall but end up the best value for the money and time. The tour guides, very accommodating! We definitely recommend this tour to everyone!
Our trip was excellent. The co-ordinators were excellent & we had a good time. The bus & Hotel were also of very good quality. The things that could be improved are 1) The payment for rides was taken in cash. If this can be taken in card, that would be good. 2) We could get vegetarian food only once. If w can stop by places which also have veggie food, that would be good.
I liked it! It was a long way but it was fun and the guide was trying to entertain us all the time. The hotel was just great. And of course Niagara Falls!!! It's great that we could see both night and day view. So I should say i will plan on traveling with GotoBus again.
We had very little expectations when we booked the Niagara tour from GotoBus. Because, some of the reviews were bad.
But, surprisingly, we found the tour to be very good exceeding the expectations. Let me list out the PLUS and MINUS of the tours.
1. Very affordable. No other tours offers tours at such a low price.
2. With the limited time, the guide took to couple of places which are not in the schedule (Hershey's Chocolate World and Seneca Lake)
3. The guide was mostly co-operative and a good person.
4. Provided a good hotel very near to the falls
5. Bus driver was very good as well. On the return trip, The bus stopped just 10 miles before New York because of Engine Failure. But, quickly they arranged a different bus (which was one more GotoBus coming from Niagara). Though it cause inconvenience, they at least had a backup plan and we felt good.
1. The guide explains things in English as well as Chinese. But, almost every passenger found it very difficult to understand what he says.
2. When it stopped at Hershey's Chocolate World, we decided not to go because of my wife's health. But, we were forced to get down until the Driver finishes his lunch and comes back. (For security reasons, no passenger should be in bus unless the driver is there)
3. In Niagara Falls, they just took to Prospect Point and to nowhere else. That was little disappointing.
4. They stop on Chinese restaurants which many don't prefer and expensive ($14 per buffet)
Overall, we liked the tour very much and I am likely to book the tour again.
Excellent tour, and it is more than we expected. We found Lin, the tour guide, very accommodating! We definitely recommend this tour to everyone, and in fact, three families that we know personally will join the tour this year!
This was my third tour with Gotobus and my second trip to Niagara Falls. The Maid of the Mist was magnificent, Imax movie and the 1000 Islands were great. Great tour, good guide, best value, we really enjoyed it except for the bus bathroom. I think the company could implement cleanliness and proper hygiene in the bus.
The trip was very well organized. I will rate this trip as excellent. they arranged a nice hotel in Rochester. I boarded the bus in Edison and they dropped me back in Edison the next day. There were lot of tour guide to help in Chinatown, Manhattan to get into the right bus. Though the tour guide's accent was different, it was manageable. 95% of the passengers were Indians. If the fellow Indians were on time as requested by tour guide, there would have been still more time to spend on each of the attractions. It was a waste of time for others who were on time. that's the drawback of the group tour which is an expected one.
BEAWARE: Unfortunately, I had an annoying experience because of the passengers who were sitting next to me and right behind me(back seat). Both of them are fellow Coimbatorians. Though I also from South India, I want to bring this up so that the readers of this comment can help to avoid such circumstances in future and provide comfortable trip to the future passengers. The passengers I am referring to are parents who were not accompanied by their son or son-in-law. For every fifteen to twenty minutes, there was a big burp noise either from my left or from the back. I got very irritated and it disturbed my whole trip. It was not only annoying for me but also for people sitting closer to them. I appreciate everyone's tolerance. I also remained silent and tolerated it and could not lecture them on the manners.
Though I am aware that lot of people will be reading this comment, I want future passengers not to get annoyed and also request Indian friends to educate their parents/in-laws before sending to a group tour.
Cave of the Winds and Maid of the Mist are the best parts of Niagara Falls. This tour spends most of the time on traveling. Overall, it is a good tour, the beautiful scenes offset the time consumed with traveling. It would be better if more time is given to the attractions.
After years of living in nyc i decided to take a bus trip to Niagara with my husband and my 2 friends... we really enjoyed the trip. Our tour guide, River, was very informative and we had a very good experienced driver named Miller. Will travel again with GotoBus... the hotel was great too.
Enjoyable tour except that the guide was not very knowledgeable. He couldn't answer questions about buildings in Washington, D.C. or Philadelphia. Also, we had booked the tour specifically to see Hershey, PA, but that was cancelled without our knowledge.
Me and my partner decided to join this tour after various recommendations from friends. 2 days one night for the price is unbelievable value. Accommodation was included and guess what i wasn't disappointed at all. We stayed at Sleep Inn (back in buffalo) and breakfast was included. Nice and clean room. I liked their shower head, very comfortable. Tour guide was friendly and could speak English very well.
two things to keep in mind,
1) This tour does not go to Canada side of the fall (horse shoe view). But you can see it from Maid of the Mist boat tour.
2) If you have a big family with elderly or kids then this tour may not be very suitable. Because you have to run on schedule.
I'm thankful to the whole crew, I left my laptop bag in the bus. In most instances, I would have never seen my laptop again. But with the help of the whole crew, I got it back after one week. Great job guys. Keep up the good work.
Sight seeing trip to Niagara Falls – Cave of the Winds, Night view of the Falls with changing colours, the tall buildings of Canada and America in the night lights, Cave of the Winds experience, the Fire Works Show, view of Horse Shoe Falls and the Rainbow formation from Terra Pin Point in the early morning sunlight, the IMAX movie of the Niagra Falls and the Maid of the Mist experience – All a great experience of the Lifetime like a GOOD DREAM
The overall experience was good. But to new travellers:- you would be better off buying the entrance tickets yourself as the staff was adamant on having dinner at 7:30 and we missed all attractions on day 1. On next day we started at 7:30 to cover all attractions and the lost time was amde up by cutting time on the corning museum as everyone was tired. So buy your tickets- discovery pass and use the bus service.
It was our first time in NY and we wanted to see as much as possible. With your tour we saw a lot in a short time and we get a lot of info from Shane and Lilian during the trip. Even if we lost time having troubles with a bus tire, they were in position to keep the good feeling and tried to reorganize the trip as well. Would be better to know in advance the total amount to pay for entrance tickets and fees for the driver and tour leader. The hotel and all others was OK. We just need some hour more for a day visit to Niagara, as it was an amazing experience. Good service for a good price!
Good things first - low price, decent hotel, tour guides were informative and friendly. Not so good - no lavatory in the bus (as advertised), the seats were not very comfortable (the one assigned to me was broken and had no arm-rest), the tour seems to be rushed at some times.
The tour was excellent and we enjoyed it a lot. Our tour guide was Rich Sun and he was very friendly and made our trip an unforgettable one. I also got a beautiful Niagara falls glass mug as gift for solving a puzzle, can't forget it. Planning to take washington tour later this month
After doing the Washington tour I decided to invite more of my family to our next tour. We all agreed on Niagra Falls. There were 9 of us and we had a great time. Jason Han was our tour guide. He was so funny, made the ride so much faster. I really enjoyed myself and my family returned planning the next trip. The views were beautiful. The hotel was also very comfortable and the free breakfast, icing on the cake.
