I was so pleased with how my tour guide went above and beyond in helping me through my walking challenges. She was clear in the tour expectations and was respectful of the group as a whole. I recommend this tour and guide.
Shawn was committed but obviously better in Chinese than in English as we had problems in understanding. The local guides were superb. The program was overall fine but Philadelphia was more or less a lunch break. Amish visit in Lancaster was superb as was also Washington. We can recommend this tour.
Overall it was an enjoyable trip. I enjoyed the visit to Lancaster the most. The hotel accommodation was great. I was in good hands with Vincent our guide and our driver. The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't have a choice as to where I could sit on the bus. The seats were assigned rather than rotated as stated on the website.
My tour guide was KK Zhang, he was qualified and very friendly.
I wish to have more time in Washinton DC to see and walk more but timtable was tight.
Amish Village was the best part of this trip!
I enjoyed the whole trip ;)
I highly recommend this tour. It was very informative and interesting. There was a lot to do in the amount of time available and that kept things moving at a good pace and made it adventurous. It was also a great way to meet new people from different backgrounds. Our tour guides Kitty and Karen were very knowledgeable and helpful. Everything was well planned and ran on schedule.
I found the tour of Amish country interesting. As someone who grew up in Pennsylvania an hour and a half away from Lancaster, I was surprised to learn things I hadn’t known with the help of an extra tour guide from Lancaster who’s studies focus on the Amish people.
All meals and hotel accommodations were very good.
The last stop in D.C. had many attractions and a good amount of free time to walk about and take photos. Personally, I would have liked a little more time in the Air and Space Museum being someone who loves aviation, but it was enough time to walk around and look at the main attractions. Like most museums, there is enough to keep someone busy there all day if you had the time, but this was just a part of an enjoyable two-day tour that was packed with attractions, history, fun and photo ops.
I would enjoy taking another tour with TakeTours.
My tour guides were Gary and Frank. This was my first experience with Take Tours. The best part was visiting the Amish Village,Lancaster. They provided very nice hotel for stay and food was good too. I would recommend this tour to everyone!
I would recommend this trip. Cayden, the tour guide was very
informative and friendly. So was Nick and the driver. The hotel was great, I loved it. The only thing I'd add is that a stop should be made before checking in to the hotel to get some food, since there was no place nearby.
I want to congratulate the tour operator and Cayden Huang our tour guide and Shawn and driver in our tour to Washington DC from New York, last August 3rd, and 4th, 2016. They provided us with excellent service and attention. We are recommending these tours to our family and friends. Thank you.
This was my first experience with Take Tours. The whole trip was excellent. I had guests visiting and took them on the trip. They enjoyed a lot and was surprised to see so many attractions in two days. Highly recommend this tour!!
I have taken this tour on last weekend(2nd and 3rd July 2016). This was a great trip. The accommodation was superb at Sheraton. We visited the No 1 ranked national university in the United States. The living space of scholars, producing geniuses across all sectors. The best part was visiting the Amish Village,Lancaster. Life without TV, Mobile, Electricity, Vehicles and all amenities provided in this modern world is beyond imagination. But there is this community of people who have been living in this posh area of Pennsylvania without all this dedicatedly since decades. They r mainly farmers, growing their own crop, meat, and all other food items. Women stitch the clothes for the whole family. They ride horses, travel in buggies, live a simple life staying away from any kind of limelight. 2nd day trip to Washington DC was also awesome. We would like to go with TakeTours in our upcoming trips too.
This tour was really worth for the money we spend. Tour Guide was Cora Chen, she did great job. She was extremely knowledgeable and fun. She was never in hurry and we covered all the places in the given time. The Hotel provided by the tour was neat and clean with morning breakfast so it saved our time to go after the breakfast
Its a great trip. It's a worth for the money you pay. Especially our tour leader..simply excellent. Her name is Cora Chen and she is very very helpful. She answers all the questions patiently and she is so co-operative. she manages the time very well so that everybody gets what they want in the trip. we didn't miss any attraction.
Nice tour..Olivia was our tour leader..she was sweet friendly and full of life..very jolly girl..they provided very nice hotel for stay and food was good too..We got to see many attractions in two days.. Driver was good..he drove smoothly..pick up was little late but drop off was before time and it was great for us as we had to catch flight for chicago after the tour.. I would recommend this tour to everyone !!!
This was a great trip. kkzhang & his team helped us lot during the trip, He took us into the House of Representatives and answered our questions and explained the lawmaking process to us. kkzhang was very informative as he escorted us throughout the rest of the capital. Well worth the trip to see specially with kkzhang & Team
This is my second time for this tour. It was awesome! The first one was with a friend visiting, second time was with a family member. I love it. My congratulations to this company for having great employees! Looking and planning again for another tour next month!
This tour was well worth the money and some. I did not expect too much for the low price but was very pleasantly surprised. Our tour guide, Matthew, was extremely knowledgeable and fun. The bus driver, Mr. Ling, was the best driver anyone could ask for in the New York nightmare of driving. He is a very, very good driver. The attractions were well planned and more than expected. I would not only recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York for the first time, but I will use TakeTours.com in the future for my own travels. Excellent service for minimal price. Definitely a great deal!
It was a short and good trip. Recommended for people who are on short visit to US and wants to cover most of the places. Seems to be a little expensive as all the attraction fees are not covered and apart from this we need to pay the service charge separately.
We booked for 2 day tour of DC, Philadelphia, Amish farms. Tour guide Sean was very helpful and managed thongs well on time for foods and other arrangements. Visit to amish farms was memorable and well planned. Sequence of attractions, food timings were well planned. Hotel stay was comfortable and relaxing.
2 days tour to Washington n Philadelphia was a tiring trip but it's all worth it thank to our tour guide Max n his driver, they very precise and very organized, they making the trip alot enjoyable thx guys I would recommend taketours to all my friends...
This is the best purchase you can do, the tour was beautiful and very cheap too (for all that is included), Although I made my reservation less than 24 hours before the tour, YOYO (who was my tour guide) helped me with all very quickly, being very friendly, helpful and kind with all of us. We went to Philadelphia the first day, stayed in a beautiful hotel (I really was impressed by it for what we payed), the next day in Washington DC was very educative too. Yoyo knows a lot of the US history, and she is open to answer all your questions. The driver was very careful also, and both of them were very strict for the time we had (what I think is a necessary thing to do to enjoy the tour). Thank you for all. I will definitely take tours with you from now on.
Last night I came back from this tour, and I can say it was excellent! I accept that I was a little bit concerned about how good the tour would be because it is really cheap and I firmly believe that you get what you pay for, but I highly recommend this tour to any person who loves traveling but has a small budget.
We did not pay for all the attractions, we paid only for the ones that we considered more interesting and worthy, and I think we made intelligent choices. The bus left on time, and the first stop was Princeton University we did not pay the $10 to get inside, instead of that we walked around the campus (which is completely beautiful) and took a lot of pictures. The second stop was in Philadelphia- we had some time there, and walked around the city as much as we could. After that we went to the Amish farm, which was amazing. I only wish we could have spent more time there, but anyway it is really worth the $20. That night, our tour guide suggested us to have dinner at some buffet on our way to Washington DC it was $17 for all you can eat, if you are a seafood lover like me, you'd love it. We stayed at Metro Points Hotel in Annapolis, MD- this was the part I was most surprised about, the hotel room was perfect, big, comfortable, clean, hot water, wi fi in the room. Sunday we spent the day visiting the monuments in Washington DC, also we had a sightseeing cruise. We came back to NY at 2pm and we arrived before 8pm. Our guide was Mark Wang, very nice guy and he made a very well distribution of the time so we can visit all the places TakeTours promised. Definitely I'll be going on more tours with this company!
Left NYC late due to waiting for latecomers. Guide kept us informed. She was very friendly, thorough, and informative, though her English was quite accented and sometimes difficult to follow. It was assumed everyone would take the tours in Princeton and Madame Tussauds in Washington, but we were not interested, preferring to explore independently. Guide should ask. Other tours were OK though the Potomac River cruise was not much. Highlights were the Air and Space Museum in the Smithsonian (free entry) and the Amish farm. A too long drive to the motel for the overnight at the end of an already long day. Overall good value.
We had a very good time over the weekend.
Pros: 1. Tour was on time everywhere. 2. Very nice hotel stay. 3. Comfortable bus and driving. 4. Flipped the back seaters on the first day to front seat the second day. 5. The guide was very patient and took lot of pain to bring all the guests to the bus on time.
Cons: 1. Time spent in Philadelphia is not adequate. 2. The guidance given by tour guide in Philadelphia is not adequate, so we were not able to enjoy. 3. A lot of time spent in Amish village. It was boring and more time could have been spent in Philadelphia. 4. Time given for lunch/tea/coffee is inadequate as there are long queues everywhere. 5.Tour guide should help other country visitors to get their suitable food. 6. English explanation and interactions with foreign visitors could be better.
I took the 2-day Washington DC, Philadelphia tour and it was awesome. There was some religious ceremony going on in the Amish Farm, so instead of visiting the Amish Farm we went to Shenandoah Caverns. Our tour guide, Ben, was awesome. Initially we went to Philadelphia and visited Independence Hall and Liberty Bell. From there we went to Washington DC, and visited the National Air & Space Museum, Capital Hall, White House, and Lincoln Memorial. Ben is also informative about those places. The next day we went to Shenandoah Cavern and Princeton University. That was a good tour and highly recommended.
Tour guides CoraChen, June, & especially the lady at the Amish Museum were very courteous and informative. Amish Village was most insightful. Though the Amish Farm visit and Amish Museum visit were totally worthless.
Overall a nice trip for a couple of days.
Had a nice trip in the weekend . Our guide was Catherine.. She did her job very well and maintained the schedule. Accommodation was very nice and got a complementary breakfast, though we had a short time to finish breakfast and start the day, as there was huge crowd for breakfast. Covered all the places mentioned in itinerary, and guide was very nice, friendly.. And found some new friends in trip. Only constraint is time, need to be quick enough. I would feel they can increase the time for National Air & Space Museum in Washington DC, which was a very short amount of time to cover the museum as well as lunch.. Overall it's a nice time and had a fun filled tour.
Overall the tour was nice, especially the Amish visit being the best. Tour guide Blair is easily the best that we had seen so far (out of 6 people we have seen). She is a perfect professional and knows her job very well. Very knowledgeable about what she does. Thanks guys.
My friend and our kids had a wonderful time on this trip. Our tour guide, Marina, was very friendly and I would say have a lot of patience with some of the other passengers when they kept being late and tried to put the blame on her for not calling them on the phone when it's time to leave. Well duh, if we can pay attention and be back on time when she says we have to, why can't you? Some people are just so disrespectful. Overall it was a well organized tour and I would definitely recommend it. Also our driver was very skillful and throughout our journey, we felt safe. A little advise, read the tour itinerary thoroughly before you book, it does tell you about the service fee and about optional attractions. It's not the tour guide's fault if you can't read!!
The tour guide, Ms. Cora, has the required skill of managing a big team of participants from different cultures and different parts of the world. She was able to get them along and explained every detail. The driver was also skillful and perfect. We enjoyed the tour, except the visit to the White House. It would be better to select some other point to have a closer look at the building. I recommend this as a good and enjoyable tour.
I took this trip coming from Miami to New York with my two teen kids and there were a few things you need to keep in mind and know; as it has been mentioned before in other reviews make sure to bring cash to pay all services including $8.00 dollar per day to the driver and the guide. We had to stay in the bus for around two hours in our last day going back to New York because one passenger that was accompanied by 5 girls under 18 didn't have cash to pay and the driver and the guide were not willing to help. The driver refused to move the bus, asking for the money, after many arguments, and tried to call the cops. One of the passengers offered to pay and after this the driver started driving. So you can calculate the math for how much they keep us in the bus with minimum air conditioner!!! Most of the trip was with very low AC!!! We were sweating in many instances of the trip!!! Also, the stops are sometimes too fast and you hardly have time to go over the history.
I was a bit disappointed by the trip to Philadelphia as we stayed in the city for only one hour and a half to visit and eat. We couldn't enjoy the city as much as we would have liked.
I was also disappointed by the visit of the Amish. The Amish way of life was explained to us by a non-Amish. I also thought we would come in contact with the inhabitants of the village, which wasn't the case.
However, the second day, when we visited Washington, we had the opportunity to see many things.
The tour guide and the driver did a really good job.
We find that the visit to Amish farm is taking much time and not interesting. Many tour participants are from Asian countries where we see many deprived people with much simpler lives compared to Amish people. Hence Amish style of living neither surprises nor is awe inspiring. Instead we would like to visit important museums in Philadelphia or Washington DC.
We could see a lot of places in a short time. The bus was good. Accommodation at Comfort Inn was excellent and food arrangements good. Everything was in a hurry. Tour guide could have been more pleasant. (We took the tour on July 20th. Team 1)
We just came back from this trip. Vivian who was our tour guide was very friendly and helpful. Bus driver was also good at his job. Overall it was a satisfying tour. We won't hesitate to join another trip with this company.
We had a nice time, our tour guide Vivian was great. Please remember that the itnerary can change, and the food places with the group are optional. The tour guide can tell you if there are alternative places to eat in the same area.
What I liked about this trip -
1. Nice comfortable stay
2. Friendly tour guide
3. Well planned itenary
4. Well priced tour
What I disliked about this trip -
1. Bus air conditioning was not effective at the rear
2. Tour guide was had a very strong Chinese accent and was difficult to comprehend what he was saying
3. There were only Indians & Chinese tourists so be prepared to follow their mannerisms (you may find filthy at times)
4. Driver kept missing important exits on the freeway and had to keep getting back on track (why couldn't they just use a GPS??)
Would I recommend this to a friend, depends on who I am referring to. If its an Indian or Chinese family I definitely would, else wouldn't.
The tour was great. The guide, Stone, was very helpful. Only thing was that the tour bus windows were clogged and uncleaned, so I couldn't get a better view outside. This led to not taking any pictures in Washington DC as well.
The tour was really good. Our tour guide was Yinny and she had good understanding of the places that we visited.
The rates are hidden though. $76 per person, plus they will charge $16 per person for the two days a service charge plus $86 per person for all the attractions.
Be prepared and carry cash along with you.
It just typical Chinese Tour. The initial departure for my stop was 8:45AM. The tour guide texted me the night before with a departure time of 9:20AM. Then he call me around 9:10aAM saying that they will pick us up around 10:15AM. So there was a lot of delay. The tour guide's English was very hard to understand. Good thing I understand Chinese, but not my kids. He would repeat himself 5-6 time with the same thing. It is like listening to echo over and over. Plus, I don't think the tour guide was very knowledgeable. The tour was a rush. We spent 45 minutes in Philadelphia (including lunch). So we didn't have a chance to get inside to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. The tour guide simply said the Liberty Bell is broken and you can't see it (it has been a broken bell!!). My daughter really wanted to go inside to see the White House, but we can't get in, the tour guide said because most of the people are not U.S. Citizens. We were at the back of the White House and only can see it from a far distance. I feel that we were rushed through most of the attractions. I took these Chinese tours before, some were better. Especially the ones that I took with my college friends who were the tour guide. We got to get inside of the White House and visited Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Not able to get inside of the White House, Liberty Bell, and Independence Hall really degraded the purpose of this tour. The Amish tour was good. My kids enjoyed the root beer at the Amish gift shop. It is nice to learn about another culture. The hotel was okay. Overall trip is 2-3 stars.
Very great experience with this company. My friends and I had a good time during the tour. Reasonable price, and good tour guide. It would be even better if the tour guide could talk more about culture and stories behind the attractions! We visited a lot of famous attractions in 2 days. The schedule was a little tight, and be aware that there are some sites that require extra fee. (Have cash with you). One night hotel is great! I love the Amish farm part the most! And if you like to learn and experience different cultures, that Amish farm is a must visit! I wouldn't recommend the cruise and wax museum. They are fine, and it's just not that great if you have had similar experiences before. Be sure to get enough sleep, again it's going to be a busy schedule, and enjoy!
The tour guides were friendly and professional. They encouraged all tourists to get ready early so we can visit more places rather than wasting our time standing in lines. On our second day, we were in the capital early and there was no hassle at all. Our tour guides did a great job managing the entire crew.
But our first day was a Sunday, where we visited the Amish community. We couldn't have the Amish dinner as Sunday was the church day for Amish people. They do not get involved in any other thing on Sundays. I thought we would get to talk to them, but never had a chance even to take a picture of an Amish person. In my opinion this tour should not go to the Amish Village on Sundays.
The hotel was very good. They even gave the breakfast on our second day. Overall happy with the tour and hope to make more trips with TakeTours.ť
Our tour guide worked very hard for us and maximized the time on a tight itinerary. A lot is packed in to a short time as we were visiting from the United Kingdom and had limited time, this suited us. The coach had no seat belts and wasn't too clean. Overall excellent value.
The tour was fun, my family enjoyed it. The tour leader, Mr. Lee, was good and friendly. He has issues with his English language, requires improvement, as tourists are from various countries. The restrooms breaks were given at regular times. The tour guide helped all in getting all kinds of foods in the food court areas. Overall experience was good and shall recommend it to friends.
I did the tour to Philadelphia and Washington DC, and it was much better than expected, anticipating I would be hearing the guide in Chinese all the time. Benni was our tour guide, and he was fantastic! Had good command of English, and a good sense of humor which made the tour special. He organised everything well and had us go to the best sites in Washington early on Memorial Day, in order to miss the crowds. Well done Benni!!
I want to say first that I really had fun.
The tour guide was Chinese. Which means, he spoke in Chinese a lot (on the bus's microphone, he talked to people... ) He was really nice and clear with our tour plans. Also, he let us free to decide what to do. I was free to pay for the next attraction (if necessary) or just stay in somewhere and wait for them.
Accommodation: PERFECT. We stayed in Maryland (I guess). The hotel was incredibly nice, including the breakfast.
The bus was okay. I was kind of tired and the tour guide speaking on the microphone gave me a headache (maybe the speakers were too loud). The only point that could make the bus perfect is the outlets. The outlets were NOT working! It drove me crazy. (Sorry, I live connected).
The itinerary was good too. We bought the tour knowing where we were going, so everything was how it was supposed to be.
I really recommend this tour.
I loved this trip, it was really nice. Our guide was Ruth- really good girl. Everything was on time, and the time they gave for the pictures was more than enough. I really liked the hotel, it was very nice and comfortable. I will highly recommend this trip for anyone. - I did this tour with my family the time was enough to take the photos and know the only thing is that they do not offer the tour in Spanish, but don't need to know English to admire all the things that had. The hotel was very good I liked it was comfortable and nice. You should always keep snacks to eat as if there is almost no time. You need nothing more. In total, we paid with all access $150 dollars including food.
I booked this trip before the Memorial Day. A lot of time got wasted due to Memorial Day. Amish Farm was very good. Must try the milk share in the Amish farm. Hotel was good. No complaints at all. Wish I could have had more time to explore the museums in Washington DC. River cruse is must, Don't miss that. Overall, it was a pleasurable experience.
This was our first trip with TakeTours. The experience was excellent. Both tour guide (Peter) and driver were very good and co-operative in all manners. The accommodation provided was good. We had to pay charges for optional attractions admission fees and service fees for guide and driver. It would have better if it is collected while booking only. Overall it's nice experience and worth the money we are paying..
I did this trip last January with my family and it was amazing. I literally just went for Washington DC because my uncle wanted to go and I didn't knew how many things I was going to see. I loved the fact that we even stopped at Baltimore and it was not in the itinerary. I've taken several tours from this company before but this one was literally a bargain. Philadelphia, DC, Baltimore, the caverns and I paid nothing. The tour guide was great, the hotel good. No complaints. I highly recommend this tour. I took my mom and my aunt to this trip when they came to visit me in NYC, it was amazing. Two days full of excursions in Boston, Connecticut, Rhode Island. I loved the fact that we went to visit three different universities: Harvard, MIT and Yale. We went to the river cruise with the Boston view. We visited the Breakers mansion in Rhode Island (amazing). Also, we visited Connecticut, witch was a plus for me. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that wants to have a fun weekend, know other cities but at the same time stay on a budget. The hotels were very comfortable, the bus as well.
I went to the Washington DC, Philadelphia from New York tour and I am definitely satisfied with the tour. Money paid for was worth it. Tour guide and bus was ok. The hotel we stayed in was way good than expected. Although tours were mostly rushed, and some attractions were too quick that we didn't have time to spend on taking pictures, I would definitely recommend it. Thumbs up!
Overall, my experience was good. This was my second time. I went on a two days tour of Washington DC and Amish farm house. Amish Farm houses is must see for any person. The only thing I didn't like was the dinner after the Amish farm houses tour, that was not worth it at all. It left me in bad taste. But apart from that, the tour was really good. Tour guides were friendly, they showed us all the places. I would recommend it to any family, bunch of friends, couples, etc.
This is my second tour with TakeTours, and I am happy with their services. The hotel was great. My tour guild is pretty great his name is Edison Sun. He gave us a lot of information about the attractions. He very nice.
I joined the 2 days Washington DC tour with my family. Our tour guide is Edison Sun. He is a very professional and considerate tour guide. He took care of everyone who was on his tour and he let us feel like we were not only a team but also we were friends. I really liked this tour and thanks for everything! He is the best !!!
The trip was satisfactory. A lot of places were covered in a short time. The tour conductor, Tana, took good care of the group and has to be specially mentioned. She looked after the group well, was sincere, and caring. She was responsible for the overall success of the trip.
This is my second tour with TakeTours, first being to Niagara Falls. I am very happy with their services. The hotel where we stayed was good. I would advise TakeTours for my friends and dear ones, and I am looking forward to my next tour.
We loved our tour guide Tana! We had this trip in spring 2015 during the Cherry Blossoms Festival. We managed to go to all the stops despite the traffic and the closures of some roads in DC. I think she managed our time very well and also the people since we had a full bus. My friend and I were so happy to have seen almost 7 states in 2 days! And the hotel was very remarkable. We were expecting a shared room with other groups but we got a room on our own and had 2 beds. We will definitely go on another tour with TakeTours. And I will recommend this when I have family and friends visiting. Again, great job to our tour guid TANA again! You go girl!
We traveled with my mom. She is 69 years old. I thought it would be too much for her, but it wasn’t. Our tour guide was named Aaron- he was very helpful and kind with the tourists. If you needed, if could explain to you several times the information. The hotel was very nice and clean. The only thing is because we visited a lot of places, we were running all the time. I recommend to bring some snacks for the entire day and buy the Amish dinner. So delicious and organic. The only attraction we did was the cruise. Interesting but not fun. The rest of the tour was very nice and I really recommend the tour. Once again, the tour guide Aaron was very nice and helpful, and the bus driver too. The only thing is the language. They gave more information in Chinese than English. My mom was very happy and she wasn’t tired.
Hi- The tour was good if you dont wnat to take the hassle of finding things out yourself.. the only downside was that a lot of the commentary was in Mandarin.. tour guide was good and helpful though.. I travelled with my 7 month old infant and the tour guide and driver both were very courteous and nice to us.
Being very skeptical about the trip, me and my girlfriend decided to try it and bought the tickets for a Washington DC tour, and we are so glad about made choice because we spent an amazing weekend. The group was nice and everybody had great time. The only bad thing was two energetic twins that were jumping on top of each other behind our seats on the bus. But that problem was quickly solved with my intimidating look. I never heard them after! Our guide was Ted and he made the trip really laid back, well planned and very funny. When we visited Princeton University our camera stopped focusing so when we arrived to Philadelphia we separated from the group and rushed into the depth of the city to find a camera store. It was a really funny and exciting because we walked 19 blocks while observing city architecture. Finally we found the store and a very helpful person solved the problem and we went back to the bus but unfortunately we could not see Independence Hall and Bill of Rights. The Amish farm was amazing. We loved the terrain of the area. The hotel was great for the price you paid. We felt very comfortable with the accommodations. Everything was clean and had fresh look. Our room even had a flat screen TV, free WIFI and a really comfortable bed. The next day we went to different sights such as Potomac River cruise, White House, and different memorials. The city is amazing. Lastly we had only one hour for National Air and Space Museum (One of my dreams come true.) Unfortunately one hour is nothing and we only managed to take pictures of big scale models and machinery. I wish we could have spent there at least five hours so I could examine and read all materials. I would definitely recommend this tour for an amazing weekend.
I liked the accommodation in which was a 5 star hotel in Baltimore. The Washington trip could have been better had the guide given us a good idea of which places to go. Overall an okay trip, but if I take it again, I will do proper research myself about the places beforehand.
The tour was good! We visited all the places as per the trip itinerary. The best part was visiting the Washington Monument, Lincoln Statue, war memorials. However. I feel The Liberty Bell and Pennsylvania part of the tour was rushed.
We went to the pick up point at Flushing 7:02AM but the bus left. I ran like hell and caught the bus at traffic junction. Bus driver is very nice to wait for our family. Thank you very much. Tour is good value for the money to Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Baltimore. Tour guide needs to speak better English and communicate more clearly. The time spent at the stops was not long enough especially at the museums. The service charge must be paid but the cruise and Fort Henry were optional and needed to be paid for in cash on the tour. Bus view was obscured and toilet could only be used in emergencies.
The trip was fine. Couple of points (suggestions) I do want to mention:
1. Trip cost only include bus & hotel stay expenses. Rest of the expenses (which would be almost equal to $100 extra) will have to be bear by tourist.
2. Washington DC is beautiful city and we spend just half a day in Washington DC. We should spend much time in Washington DC.
3. We should also include Rocky statue in Philadelphia tour, which is not very far from the tourist attractions of Philadelphia.
Overall, the trip was fine me and my friend. We enjoyed the trip.
Thanks a lot.
Overall experience with this tour is very good. The tour guide, JoJo was very friendly, and she actually sang a song for us in the bus. So cute. She was also time conscious. Which was a good and bad thing. Not her fault though. The accommodation was okay and so was the transportation. Bus was also in good condition. Itinerary was limited though but no fault of tour agency. Washington DC is a place that has too many sights to be explored and you really need a lot of time to go around the city.
I just came back from the 2 day Washington DC tour and it was very good. This is my second time time booking a quick and affordable getaway with TakeTours. Last year, I did Niagara Falls and it was also a great experience.
My tour guide was the lovely Jenny Xu. Jenny is a professional and has a lot of patience.
This is also a way to make new friends. Last year, I met one guy from Brazil and another one from Colombia (we are still friends and communicate very often through email). This year I met a lovely couple from Ecuador, and a guy from Spain. We had our little group, laughed, and had an amazing time.
Thank you TakeTours. See you next year again.
Coming from Australia, my wife and I took the trip with our son, who lives in NYC. The itinerary was very organised, although, very busy! It was definitely good value for our money. The only downside was not being aware of the dinner at the Amish Village at 5pm, where on the website we were led to believe that we could have dinner anywhere once we got to our motel. The dinner came at an added cost and we did not have any further details other than it was an organic dinner. We opted not to go for the dinner and ended up having a very late dinner when we reached our motel. Being my wife's birthday, this was very disappointing. The return trip into New York was later than expected due to heavy traffic, which made us very late on returning to New York. Our tour guide, Serena, was very sweet and caring and our bus driver was very good.
Well organized tour! Our tour guide was Serena for the trip on September 27th and 28th. She was excellent and it was an excellent value for the price we paid. We saw all that we were supposed to see and were given good time to view the relevant locations. I was happy with the overnight accommodation. Other travel partners were also kind enough and cooperative. It was really memorable one. I wish TakeTours all the best. I'd like to travel and recommend to others like me. Ramesh from India
This is my second trip with the company and all I have to say is WOW!!! We went to 4 different states in one weekend.
I was traveling along with 7 other people within this group trip of about 50 people or so. The tough part of the trip is the language translations. Sometimes with the accent I was not able to understand the tour guide. They speak everything in English first and then in Chinese. If I was not able to understand, then I just asked and Lee was happy to answer my questions. All that mattered to me was that I knew what time to be back on the bus so that I would not be left. This is a tour, so remember that you are on the clock of the company and not on your on schedule. Once we were dropped off to the hotels, we could do what ever we wanted in the area. My friends and I decided to go out for drinks and food. It was great that we actually stayed the night in Virginia, and the hotel had a pool too!! The accommodations were great. Even better then when I went on my first trip with the company. We even stopped by one attraction that was not even on the itinerary, and I was so happy. Always bring extra spending cash of course, and cash is the best when on a trip like this.
Good trip! Our guide, Helen Chen, was jolly and polite enough. Everything was done on schedule. The hotel was nice and clean, departure and arrival were on time. In Baltimore, they could have included an additional tourist place. You could also add a Garden visit (Longwood) in Philadelphia.
This was a nice trip. Our tour guide Chelsy, did a great job. The bus was excellent! The only things I didn't like, was that no one called me the day before to remind me. They charged me $100 for changing the date, and on the ticket, it says "the tour guide has to call you the day prior of the tour". Everything else was excellent!
Well organized tour! Excellent value for price paid. We saw all that we were supposed to see and were given sufficient time to view the relevant locations. Our guide made sure that we got bathroom breaks and were able to stretch our legs. I was happy with the overnight accommodation.
I'm already looking for another tour to take with TakeTours.
My only negative was having a baby crying during the trip. Perhaps children should be over 3 years old to participate.
The trip was good. Even though we started late, the tour guide managed the time very well and we were able to cover all the monuments listed in the itinerary. The tour guides were excellent and provided information on the various monuments. The itinerary provided though on the site does not include the Amish market and dinner, which was also covered during the tour. We had to arrange for the cash since we were not aware of the same. But in all, we enjoyed the tour!
This tour provides a convenient and economical way to see many popular attractions. If you have plenty of time and money, there is no need to take this kind of tour. I have lived in Washington DC and New York City each for more than a decade, I still found the trip enjoyable and fruitful. For example, I have never got a chance to take a cruise in Potomac River. We visited an Amish farm in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, which was better than expected. I actually stayed with a Mennonite man for one day in the nearby area almost 25 years ago, but the tour guide over there was being very informative, and satisfactorily answered all my questions. We stayed in Best Western and breakfast offered many choices. The guide and the driver are nice and helpful. She gave us basic information on each place in both English and Chinese. If we travel by ourselves, what we paid them would not be able to cover gas and tolls, let alone one night stay in the hotel. I would recommend this tour to anybody!
Overall for the price I had no complaints and was overall satisfied. However there is always room for improvement. For example, half way through the trip they did not want anyone using the restroom; due to not wanting any unwanted fumes floating throughout the bus which is somewhat understandable, but at the same time ridiculous. Our tour guide, Ryan, was great, he tried his best but his English needs a tad more practice. Some of the tour sites we did not have enough time to visit, for example the Lincoln Memorial, but then again we did go on the 4th of July and a lot of areas were closed due to parades. The hotel accommodations were good, I was actually surprised at the Red Roof, nothing compared to the one in New York City. Last but not least, TakeTours really needs to find ways to accommodate those who need drop off in Brooklyn and a better way of identifying tour guides and locations for pickups- be prepared to hustle and bustle your way to the tour bus since pickup areas are congested with other tour companies.
This is my second tour with TakeTours, and I am very happy with their services. The way the tour guide, Jerry, conducted the tour of Washington D.C. was very good. We had a great overall trip for the price and we were able to see plenty of places in two days. I would definitely recommend this.
Excellent value for the money. The itinerary is packed but you get to see a number of key attractions. Hotel was good. Elia, our tour guide was excellent. She took time to explain in English, if needed. The bus driver was diligent of safe driving.
I had a guest over so we took this tour on June 23, 2014. The tour guide (Shawn) was awesome. Very caring person. Bus and accommodation, no complaints. Only complaint I have is that time for attraction was less. I would prefer less destination but enough time to spend at attractions. We felt we were rushing at every attraction we went to. Other then that, no issues.
My friend, sister, and I took this tour over the weekend of June 14, 2014. It was awesome. Our tour guide (Lynn) did a fantastic job. She was very proactive and kept us abreast of every situation. She was easygoing, pleasant, and knew her information. The bus is comfortable and quiet - we even slept a bit. The tour itself was everything the company promised. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be taking another trip in the near future. We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Maryland (clean, quiet and comfortable - not 4 stars but at $75 for bus ride and room who can complain). Great job Lynn!
This is the cheapest option to cover Washington DC and Philadelphia in 2 days. Itinerary covers most of the must watch places. Accommodation provided was also good. We are relieved from the stress associated with driving, parking, planning for the places to visit. We recommend for anyone who just has a weekend to spend.
I had a wonderful tour of Washington DC. The majority of attractions of Washington DC were covered. Although it was quick tour, it gives glimpses of Philadelphia and Baltimore.
Inclusion of Princeton University also was good option.
It was a pretty packed schedule but we enjoyed it a lot. Accommodation was very good but we had to leave hotel at 6:30am to cover all the attractions. Overall in 2 days, this tour is good value for the money.
It was our first time booking a trip on TakeTours. Overall, a good experience. Our tour guide, Sean, was great- he is the man! The only drawback was the time given at some places was too little (Liberty Bell ,Princeton University, Inner Harbor), and the price for booking the trip was $152 but on the trip, we end up spending more than $200.
Well-managed tour. Nice accommodation in Comfort Inn in a city in Maryland that's 1 hour from Washington DC. Air-and-Space museum needs more than 1.5 hr as this time also includes lunch. There is only 1 McDonald's inside this museum and it takes more than 45 mins to get your order to the table. So tour-guide should give less time for other spots in DC (say 30 mins to a memorial instead of 45 mins, because passengers inevitably take 10-15 mins more than allotted time to return to bus, restroom break itself takes up 20-25 mins due to long lines).
Tour was nice and well organized. We enjoyed it. Need improvement towards guide who can engage tourists on the bus in some funny activities. Need to choose location for food where more options will be available.
Tour was good, great deal. Time is of the essence on this tour, people need to get back to bus on time since it affects others. We stayed in a nice hotel as well. Would do this again, just would like to see an upgrade with the bus other than that, great value.
Overall a good trip.
Pros : Good itinerary that covered a lot of places over a weekend. I couldn't cover this much if I went by myself. So the itinerary was well planned. The guide was good and provided information about places when we passed them.
Cons : If you are a museum fan and want to give time to museums in D.C., ask TakeTours to book an additional day reserved in DC. I would suggest the tour operator to stop at places which have good vegetarian food, the options of vegetarian food at the stops are much less and not very good. So, vegetarians (no egg, no meat, no fish I mean), carry some of your own food.
The tour was good. We saw many attractions within only two days. We took lots of photos. Only in few places we had to hurry to be within the time limitation. But, that's understandable. I will definitely recommend this tour if anyone is interested to see these 3 cities.
My trip was wonderful! I went for Presidents' Day weekend with my son for his 9th birthday. The tour guide, Sunny, was extremely nice and spoke good English. We had a wonderful time and believe me for the price, I would recommend anyone for this two day trip. It's a short trip but you see so many historical sites and the timing for everything is perfect. All the passengers on the bus were very helpful. Overall, if anyone wants a short getaway you should definitely book this trip! Make sure you bring cash in order to tip the driver and the tour guide for each day at the end of the tour. The hotel that we stayed in gave us a free breakfast and it was delicious! I went on a four day trip to Canada for Memorial Day 2013 and it was a very memorable experience with the Maid of the Midst in Niagara Falls, Ottawa etc. You do so much that you wouldn't do if you go on your own, and the guides and bus drivers are doing an awesome job to ensure a pleasurable and safe trip that you come back relaxed and happy. Therefore anyone that is hesitant about those trips please don't be, you win! Trust me, it's not expensive, and you learn and visit so much, go for it!! Hope this helps anyone that is reluctant.
This itinerary is very good. I have been to D.C and Baltimore once, yet I still got to see many new things during this tour. I have been with TakeTours 3 times previously, and the hotel accommodation is superb. The only thing that I am not so contend with is the tour guide. Many tourists arrive late for the agreed time, which is not his problem; yet he takes no effort to influence their punctuality, which is very disappointing to me.
This is my 2nd tour with TakeTours, and I am very happy with their services. The way TakeTours conducted the tour of Washington D.C. was unbelievable. We rarely had to walk in D.C. while doing the sight seeing of the monuments, White House and Capitol Hill. The tour of Philadelphia & Baltimore was also very good. The Potomac River cruise was an experience to remember. The hotel where we stayed and the dinner provided was superb. I would advise TakeTours for my friends and dear ones.
First of all the tour was good, hectic, but okay. Though we had little time for photographs. The tour guide was good too. The biggest disadvantage is FOOD. If you are a vegetarian, then food might be a problem.
This is our second tour with TakeTours. The tour operator this time was L&L tours. We had good trip. Being a small group we had a Mercedes Minivan for transport, so we were quick on transport. The itinerary was quite tight and changed other than mentioned. The hotel was also good but not as great as we had in our last trip of the West Coast. Cons - We got quite less time (only 2 hours including lunch time) in Washington for seeing the museum. We had left Washington at 12:45pm. We covered Baltimore on first day, so we are just coming back home. We could have been given some more time over there. Also, our guide didn't give us time for seeing Korean and Vietnam War Memorial. However, overall this was good trip for the price and we were able to see plenty of places in two days. I would definitely recommend this.
I booked a two day trip to Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Philadelphia, but we also visited the Shenandoah Caverns. The guide, Jordan, was a really nice and professional. He was taking care of the group the whole time. I wanted to visit only Washington D.C. and the Caverns, and to spend more time there. I especially didn't think it was worth the money for the cruise in Washington D.C. The caverns surprised me in a good way. The bus was comfortable, and there were electricity outlets on board. I had a problem with my window because I couldn't see outside due to a problem in the glass. In general, this was a great value tour; we visited many places, had good transportation, good guide, great hotel, and good enough restaurants. It's well worth the money.
Tour is good value for the money to Philly, Washington and Baltimore.
Tour guide needs to speak better English and communicate more clearly
The time spent at the stops was not long enough esp. at the museums.
The service charge must be paid but the cruise and Fort Henry were optional and needed to be paid for in cash on the tour.
Bus view was obscured and toilet could only be used in emergencies.
Excellent Trip :)
1)Money wise 100 times worth than any other trips.
2)Guide was good with good communication skills.
3)Places covered were good.
4)Hotel was awesome.
5)Journey was quite comfortable
Overall,we enjoyed a lot.
1. Bus was comfortable
2. Tour guide was providing lot of information on each sight and very helpful
1.Time given at places is very short, at Independence hall, an hour is given to see the place and to have lunch, it is practically impossible to do
2.There are hidden costs to this tour like admission fee to Princeton university, Fort McHenry, Cruise etc, though it is optional as informed on the website it is better to collect along with package cost because everybody taking tour package to see all possible places and nobody would like to leave the place.
3. It also gives an Idea to the customer who is coming with family (like me), I paid $212 for package and paid $182 outside for admission fee and service charge, these all can be collected together.
4. $76/person looks attractive whereas in actual fact it is getting doubled, if any customer comes with limited cash it is going to be a problem
Totally worth the time, i will recommend this tour to anyone. I rated the guide 4, it was hard to understand her when she speaks English, however she really tried very hard, and was helpful, friendly kept her smile. hotel was wonderful, bus, needs proper AC, Tour Itinerary was well planned. If anyone wishes to go with this company, please do, its cheap and the best. lots to see
Shawn is very kind, helpful and cheerful, soft spoken but needs bigger voice to lead the group.we should get an option where to eat.
Bus toilet always closed.Should announce more often on the plan for the next stop as to time so we know what to expect.
I was great, as me and my wife new here. I would definitly recommend people coming first time or just want to break away from the daily driving run, better prefer this. You will experience new people and more places.
The 2day Washington DC, Phily, and Baltimore tour was a great experience. I have been in Niagara tours with friends and family every year for 5 consecutive years but this time is different. The tour guide Sean is excellent, speaks English well. He gives us a lot of information. Well organized trip. Bus well kept and bus driver Mike was very nice and safe driver too. They accomodated us to even recharged our celphones when battery low. An excellent
The bottom line is the tour is value for money.
Good - Bus is nice, the Itinerary is fair (changed as mentioned on the tour but still good), gives ample time to see and click the monuments, Hotel is very nice, breakfast is included, overall in 2 days this tour is value for money.
Bad - Language and food are major problems in this tour especially for Indian tourists and if you are planning to send your parents, make sure they carry enough good from home.
Important stuff - carry cash along with you, speak to guide what you want to do and what you didn't.
Final Verdict - a nice tour for Parents, tourists, temp residents who want to explore East coast on a budget trip.
Over all cost including tip / food / will be arnd 150
Looks like our tour guide was new so she wasn't able to explain everything in a proper way.. Accommodation was good.. During this tour main problem was time given to visit the attractions. Guide allowed us to visit capitol hill and Lincon memorial only for half an -2 hour. I think that was not enough to visit these places and she gave us one and half hour for cruise that was use less. I think next time they should analyze and give visitor enough time as per attraction to visit. I know it's very hard to accommodate each and everyone advice but I still feel they should give little bit more time..
Great Trip. Our Guide & Driver were good. Within 2 days covered lot of places. It's really worth; relaxing and enjoying we had nice time. This is our 9th trip booked from GOTOBUS (Taketours). All the trips were good. We hope to take more in future.
I will start with the positive - the bus was comfortable and had free wifi, the overnight stay was very comfortable and the lunch stop at Baltimore was really nice. On the downside, the itinery is very rushed and imbalanced. We had to literally run around Washington Dc to see everything, there was not one opportunity to stop and buy something and we could barely absorb what we were seeing. We then spent half a morning visiting caves which I personally find completely insignificant and irrelevant when compared to Washington Dc, we could have spent this time there. Furthermore there are hidden costs to this tour, which are only revealed on the bus, so one is unprepared and should be told prior to the tour to take cash. I found this very annoying. Luckily, we were not forced to join all the excursions, as they are optional. While the room and facilities at the hotel were perfect, the breakfast was an absolute let down, plastic cutlery and a choice of 3 unhealthy foodstuffs is not my scene. It was specially laid on for the tour group, n a room with plastic tablecloths. The other problem I found was that we were not fully informed about the history and relevance of certain sights, the guide was friendly but difficult to understand at times and I would have liked to know more information. For the base price of the tour the accommodation and the visit to Washington Dc was however well worth it.
I did the trip with 2 friends so we got buy 2 get 3rd free so it only cost $158 for the 3 of us, you couldn't even get accommodation for that price!! Great value.
Shaun our guide was amazing, he was under a lot of stress trying to organise such a big bus load of different nationalities but did a great job. This is a great taster trip which i loved have a look, yep seen it move on, it how i love to sight see. The accommodation was lovely big room at a holiday inn and a nice new bus. A few tips for people doing this trip take some snacks for the bus as there are few food breaks, pack an umbrella and rain coat for if it rains.
It was a nice experience taking this 2 day tour with Take tours. The tour guide was quite helpful and planned the tour quite well. I would certainly take this tour again in the future and recommend it to my friends and family.
That was a wonderful experience with paradise.. I strongly recommend to everybody to Jon this tour if you never been Washington Dc before.. The White house and US Capitol are beautiful.. Even though we couldn't get inside.. We still felt satisfied about this tour..!
The trip was not very well organized. I took this trip during the memorial days weekend and they kept changing the itinerary with the excuse that roads will be blocked in DC. But this is not news, they could have planned ahead. Because of this re-planning we spent a lot more time in the bus than at the attractions.
Tour Guide was really helpful and spent lot of effort in ensuring that everybody felt comfortable.
The tour was good, the tour guide was also very helpful and friendly however we couldn't cover Jefferson memorial, but that was also subject to time availability. In the end a good tour at a very decent price.
I loved everything from this tour except one thing which was the major atraction... The white house... Our tour guide River tolds us that he was going to take us to the southside of the white house and that we were going to be able to take "amazing pictures" and it was a big fail!!!! I guess there was something going on that i had to take my "amazing" pictures from far away with a fence behind me and woth trees covering 3/4 of the white house. That was my biggest dissapointment but everything else was very nice and relaxing. The hotel was awesome and our tour guide River was very knowledgable of all of the attractions!
For the money the tour was great. David our tour guide was funny, nice and knowledgeable. Making late comers sing in front of the bus was a nice touch and a great way to force people to be on time. The hotel was much better than expected but a bit far out of the way I thought. Rooms were clean and nice and breakfast was free in the morning. The chinese buffet stops for dinner and lunch were below average. We decided to eat elsewhere the second day. I also felt like we could of done without the baltimore and philadephia stops and spent more time exploring DC. I would def do another tour with this company however next time i may choose a tour with less on the itinerary so we could get more quality out of it.
I just came back from the 2 day Washington trip. Our first stop was in Princeton University which was not in the itinerary and was a waste of time. Not only did you get charge $10.oo if you want to take a tour of the school but most of the tourist didnt care to go. The next stop was Fort McHenry which was supposed to be on the return date but was changed by the tour guide/bus driver. The time alloted I think could have been shorter and used in Washington D.C. instead. The next stop was in Philadelphia, to see the Liberty Bell. Not enough time to go inside the Independence Hall. After that we went to see the White House from afar.We took the Potomac river cruise which was OK but we missed the Cherry Blossoms. After the cruise we went to the Lincoln Memorial and the Korean War Memorial. We didnt have a chance to see the Vietnam War Memorial since the tour bus was trying to beat traffic to have our dinner and go to the hotel. The buffet restaurant they took us didn't take credit card just because we are in the tour group. The manager was rude when I asked him why he just cut me off saying "you're in the tour" ,so what? The hotel accommodation at Comfort Inn was good and it included free breakfast.
On the 2nd day of the tour we went to Capitol Hill but didn't get the right tour with their tour guide since we were mixed with the public. So we lost time and didn't have enough time to go around. Then we went to the Air and Space museum and the tour guide incorporated lunch with that tour. We were left to tour around but there was not enough time to see the other museums. We have to leave at 1:00pm just so we don't get into the traffic. The time was cut short just because of this which we could still have used for more sightseeing. So instead of this as a 1 day tour this was only half a day tour! For me I didnt get the whole value of this tour.
To the future tourist I hope the tour company can really give you your moneys worth.
Just came back from this tour to Washington DC and not much happy with the itinerary as such. There are many things listed here but are not covered and ample time is not being given to cover all the attractions.
We were given just 2 hours to cover Capitol Hill and 4 museums around that area on our own and if someone has been there, you can imagine it will be next to impossible to do all of them in 2 hours. We reached the destination and were dropped off. The DC cruise was okay. We reached Lincoln memorial in the evening and this place is worth visiting only in the evening. The view of Washington Monumemt and capitol is was just amazing from there. The Korean war memorial and Vietnam was memorial are also in near vicinity but again we were given around 1 hour to cover all this. And given the time it takes to reach the attraction from where the bus drops you, you can never cover all these in 1 hour.
Jefferson memorial was visited from the seat of the bus as we were told that this attraction is removed from the itinerary. This was sad as that place looked beautiful and everyone wanted to spend sometime there.
Accommodation and the complimentary breakfast was the best part.
Visit the Fort McHerry only if the weather is good and the visit is schedule for Sunday morning or Sunday evening 4 PM as this is the time when flag change happens. If this is not happening, no point in wasting money on this.
After Fort McHenry, we were dropped off at Inner Harbour and this was only good as the weather was real good otherwise the 2 hours of time asked to spend here was waste. This time could have been slotted for another attraction somewhere else.
From here the final destination in Philly and this was saddest as were given just 1 hour to go around the place as the tour had to return. Don't know what the tour operator wanted to do by returning NY at 6 PM.
Sorry, forgot to mention the sneak-peak we had of White house on Day 1.
All in all, don't expect to visit many attractions as it more of travelling and less of sight-seeing. And you need more than 2 days to cover has been listed above for DC.
It is worthwhile to join this trip. Thanks our tour guide Jordan for arranging a smooth and fruitful tour. He is very knowledgeable and provide us many information about the history and background of those attractions we visited or passed by. And i was appreciated that he did considerate about the seat arrangement for everyone. I would definitely recommend my friends to join!
It was great!, Sean is a super nice and helpful guide. The driver was nice and friendly. The tour was very interesting we loved it! The only suggestions would be to make the visit to the "national air and space museum" longer to see and read most of it you need at least two hours... But not biggie! :). The hotel was actually very nice and clean. And the food .... Sean took us to this Korean restaurant in Philadelphia, which food was kind of okay nothing special...but this was our fault because inside the mall are like twenty restaurants we could have picked one of those... Anyways... After that for dinner and lunch Sean took us to two great buffet restaurants where the food was great and the options wow!, and the prices amazing. We took pictures, enjoyed the activities... We had a great time... Thanks TAKE TOURS!!!:)))) for making culture and fun affordable:)
I just came back from the 2 Day tour to DC, Philly and Baltimore! Me and my girl friend had bought the tickets based on the reviews and didn't expect much. BUT, to be very honest, this was the MOST AWESOME tour I've been on.
River, our guide, and John, the driver, were very friendly. River was very knowledgeable. The timings to get on and off in different places was really good.
The hotel where we stayed was TOOO GOOOD. 2 full size beds, a working tv and clean bathroom to go with the table and chair and a couch. I would DEFINITELY be traveling again with them and very soon. And yeah, you have to pay about $63 for tickets to various attractions and $12 as service charge for driver and guide. BUT, no complaints. They can't give you an awesome hotel, transportation AND free entry everywhere with just $76.
The trip was good. Our tour guide Dragon was good and helpful. There is so much to see which cant be covered in 2 days of time, but this tour covers all important places.
I will definitely go more trips in future.
Good Attractions. But Guide 'Dragon' dint plan properly. Dint give enough time for the attractions. Could have been a great tour if we have had a better guide who could have planned properly. The only good thing about tour was accomodation.
The trip was enjoyable relaxing and Dragon our tour guide was a pleasure and accommodating and very helpful he truly cared about his peoples, the places visited were interesting. Washington is a great place to visit and there is so much to see that you can go again and see something different. I recommend this trip and I will definitely go again in the future.
Our guide John was good.
However, we couldn't see the White House at Washington D.C due to streets all being blocked by police for some kind of event. It couldn've been better if they have researched to make sure nothing was going on in the area.
This package invovles long bus rides. It went something like 3 hours of ride - 1 hr site seeing, then another 2 hrs ride - 1 hr site seeing something like this..
Accommodation was good but we had to leave hotel at 6:30am and breakfast wasn't great.
We took the trip just before the Christmas eve, Well the tour was great for the most attraction ,which I felt a little upset was Natural History Museum tour was replaced with Capitol building inside hall walking tour which what I was looking in other Washington trips.
As a compensation for Natural museum we had a chance to take a round tour of ,the emancipation hall which has capitol hill dome Mural painting , really fantastic ,and first supreme court room in U.S.inside capitol hill
But it was rushy rushy for that tour as for shooting photos it would be OKay but for exploring the artisan creation in the hall you must be a lot less dramatic as the time was not enough for the tour.
Also Jefferson Memorial tour was dismissed from the tour and spent much time at tiny miny white house attraction.
When we got to Lincoln Memorial it was already dark coz we spent much time at white house for noting N we had difficulties to shoot the Washington monument with the reflection pool which would be much more spectacular in daylights.
Hotel was great 100 % smoke free room per say when we were boarding in.
we got to hotel so early what it seemed to be ,it was 8 when we got there .
The leader has the negotiable skills which I hoped for ,
but none the less, not the stickler point of view the trip should stick to the predetermined itinerary which was advertised.
I have no bad comments for other thing but the leader should warn the passengers not to bring the alcoholic beverages ,N place the mid-consumed bottles on overhead hand-carry storage place.
In conclusion I have had a wonderful experience on the trip.
I booked this tour for my parents. The buy 2 get 1 free scheme enabled a relative to accompany them free of cost which was great. They had a great time n loved the DC cruise. The tour guide David made sure that they r comfortable n explained attractions details very nicely.
Hi everybody, I want to thank to the agency which allowed me to have a wonderful trip with my family and friends with an affordable price! The guide of the tour made our trip interesting and we appreciated his concern in enjoying our trip. The hotel, restaurants were excellent as well the ride. My only concern was that we had less time in Baltimore and this place needs more time as welll Philadelphia ! My family and I loved this trip as well my friends!! Guys you got more than four!!! Thanks, Nelly
The tour was wonderful, it was well organized and we able to have sufficient time to see all the key resorts. Our tour guide David was excellent and was very knowledgeable and made the tour quite interesting. The music which was played during the tour was enjoyable. The driver was excellent and we felt very comfortable through out the tour. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and the room which we had. Tour was punctual and we will definitely tell our friends about take tours- actually we are planning to take another tour soon
Liked the tour. was well organized, covered most of the spots that we wanted to visit. our tour guide was very good and knowledgeable. i was afraid of the heckling that i heard from others regarding the tours but no heckling. even the service fee was respectfully asked at the end of the tour which i think is professional.
some cons (some major ones)
1. our hotel was nice but the people at red roof inn were creepy. my next room seemed to have activity all night. people seemed to go in and out of the room. seemed like they were drinking all night. early morning when i went for coffee (6.15 am), a lady was smoking in the common area and seemed to be high on something and was definitely drunk. a couple of guys came out of the room with beer early in the morning at approx 6:15 am. it creeped me out. i walked out to the bus with my toddler and though they seemed harmless but I was defintely afraid for my family.
second day, there was more travelling. the tour probably combined another tour for the caverns and we didnt visit washington on day 2. the caverns was a surprise.
day 1 there was no time for the cruise etc. got some reason but was not convincing.
baltimore we were told that we would be getting one hour for lunch (since there was no break or time for breakfast in the morning). after lunch at baltimore, we could visit the inner harbor area. but after lunch at the inner harbor area, we were told that we were heading home. what a bummer. baltimore, inner harbor area is one of the best areas to visit and we ended up in the food court in baltimore.
My family had great time with this 2-day tour, we've given the opportunity to see some of America's landmarks in Philadelphia and Washington DC.Our tour guide Mr. Al was so very good and our hotel accomodation was so good also. The trip was so amazing and I highly recommend this to others.
Our tour was memorable and we visited many places. We enjoyed the tour thoroughly and we would like to thank Mr River ( tour guide) and our driver who did wonderful safe drive. But the time given to visit each place was very less. Thanks guys..
My friend and l had a wonderful time... it was our first trip and certainly won't be our last...our tour Guide/Leader Melody was simply amaizing, very friendly, helpful and patient every thing was well planned we took lots of breathtaking pictures and had enough time for every thing. We've already recommended this tour.... Overall Thank You Melody for such a wonderful & memorable experience....
We did enjoy this trip. visited many places. Excellent accommodation in motel. it's worth the money we paid. It's rush like every tour. Our guide Eric was very helpful. I would recommend this tour. Thank you.
We liked the trip and had a good time.
However we would like to mention that the Baltimore Harbour trip got cancelled due to blockage due to some race. The trip could have been changed(The organizers could have found out like our friends ina different bus) a bit so as to cover the harbour on Sat itself.
Moreover as per the itenarary the trip was to complete at 10:00 pm (arrival at Bowery) but we came back at 7:00 pm.
We could have been given some extra time at Fort Mchenry?
to conclude, we did had a good trip and the guide did a good job.
Took the trip on August 11th with my mate and we enjoyed it tremendously. The white House, museums, the Cruise and to end it in Baltimore at the Inner Harbor was Great. Tour Guides were very nice and friendly Highly Recommended.
This is the second trip with them and all was perfect.
In Washington I didn't do the cruise but I went to see the Jefferson Memorail(that you cannot see with the normal trip), very beautyful, the guide was funny and helpful, the hotel was far 20 minutes but it was very good.
I'd do it again, recommended at 100%
This was great tour , a full of enjoyment and brilliant hotel accomodation. Guide of the tour was very well trained and this tour is worth going. I will recommend people to go in this tour as its value for money
We spend the first day in Washington DC and had an awesome hotel room, which cost probably more than 76$.
But the second day was more a "rushing to the end"...we just spend around one hour in Baltimore and maybe 2 in Philadelphia....in my opinion that was a little bit to less, but stil a very good offer!
I took the tour and believe me, tour is not good as promised. The tour spend unnecessary time in Aquarium (around 1 hr 15 mins) and then in Philadephia downtown for lunch (1.5 hour) and reach Washington only in evening leaving very less time to explore the place. Then you are taken to a hotel which is far away from Washington and by the time you reach Hotel it is 10:30 in the night.Hotel might be good but on such tours, you want more time to explore the places given that it is possible. The next day, you start early in the morning, head back to Washington and then spend another 2 hours traveling from Hotel to DC. The funny part is you are back to New York by 6-6:30 in the evening as against 8:00 p.m. scheduled time. In a nutshell, most of the time is spent in travel rather than actual sightseeing..
Overall it was a good experience. Jerry was a good guide to accompany with.Few things to consider: Food options should be better, even should have English movies, not Chinese dubbed movies all the way.
I took this tour last weekend with my son & I must say I will definitely take another one. The tour guides Ting & Shawn went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable, well informed and taken care of!! Tour was great. Hotel was great. Restaurant choices were great!! Overall A +
We went on 2-day DC tour on Feb 1-2, 2011. From the beginning the tour guide made the experience very enjoyable. A tour is not only what we see but also the time we spend on the way. Towards that, Sherley with her charm made every minute worth remembering. Sherley was very educated and informed us about the history and significance of the places we visited. We made friends from Colombia and China during the visit. Time was managed perfectly. Because of the good experience, we upgraded our tour and went to Niagara and Corning glass factory. The tour was worth more than we paid, and we would like to go again on another tour with you. Thanks
The tour was really GREAT!!! I was travelling alone and made some good friends from Spain and Brazil in the bus (Hope to get them again in my next tour). The tour guide Eddie was a great guy, and did a good job. He told us a lot of interesting facts about the places we visited.
We were able to cover quite a good number of places in two days.
Being a vegetarian, the only problem I faced was the food, as the food stops didn't had much veg options.
The night stay was excellent!!! Overall the tour was value for money.
I would recommend TakeTours to others!
thank u guys for making my trip so good ill suggest every one to try your tours in this site i am completely satisfied thanks to Ur guide melody and shirley for such a great timing in guiding that many people perfectly
Hey I liked this tour but I have some points that I would change a bit. The time in Philadelphia was very short. There was no way to get to the stairs, where "Rocky" ran up. Who was not dreaming of this too? We arrived in D.C in the late evening and had a quik view on all the monuments. I would have preferred t use the first day to see Philadelphia and Baltimore. Because n the secnd day there was only the capitl and the air and space museum. we were back in the city at 6pm. so, if it is possible, make the second day nly for d.c and use the ther time to see more in the other cities. the guides were really good.
The Trip was really wonderful. My In-Laws enjoyed the trip a lot. There loved the hotel too. it was really good. They felt a little bit of more time at Philadelphia would have been better but overall 5 star for the value for money.
The Tour was on a whole very good. The Night stay was really good and the rooms were excellent. The tour guide sunnay did a good job and told us a lot of facts about all the places. Few things like there were limited time to see the places and we need to rush everytime to the spots. I would suggest TakeTours to the others! Thanks
Very nice tour. Eddie our tour guide was great. It was amazing how much we got to see in and how far we traveled in just two days. Also, the hotel was excellent. We have always thought of bus tours as affordable mini vacations and this was our first. We will deffinately be returning for many more over the years to come. THANKS!!! We loved it! :)
Hi. This tour was overall great! But I have one comment: why did you drop us off at the back side of the white house?? The other side is so beautifull and now we saw almost nothing of the white house....
The trip in whole was fit for purpose. Itinerary was changed the first day straight away. We had 45 mins in Philadelphia which was just enough time to see the liberty bell. We were looking forward to the U.S Mint as mentioned when booking but we were never taken there nor was it mentioned. We then went to Baltimore which you are meant to see on the 2nd day. We only had 45 mins there which was barely enough time to walk anywhere. It seems a lovely place and was a shame we were so limited. I didn't really see the point in stopping there. Then we went to Washington where we saw the Space Museum. That was really good. We got 1 hr & 45 mins there which was adequate but we could have stayed longer. We left for the hotel at about 5.45. The hotel is about 45 mins away so you will not get to see Washington in your own time. The hotel was nice and better than expected. You can get McDs etc. We left at 7.30 in the morning & saw the sites in Washington. The boat trip was overpriced & a bit of a waste of time. They say it is optional in the description but this was not mentioned when the tour guide was asking for money. Traffic coming home was really bad, which obviously wasn't anyone's fault. All in all it was decent value for money, you get to see what you want in Washington but it is very rushed. I personally wouldn't go on a coach trip like this again as there are too many constraints and you have to put up with the company of people that you definitely wouldn't normally. The tour guide wasn't great and I felt she was a bit condescending. Be prepared for the extra costs with the boat trip and tour service charge!!
Tour as a whole is great...You will expect some delay from people who have a difficulty to express what they wanna say coz they have a language barrier...that's the only issue I had...but the places we went, I could say its too fast and cramming...Time is the only stuff I have problem because we have too many places to see that's why time is not enough. I will try it again soon.
The tour was nice. But would have been better if we could have time to enter to see Liberty Bell. The same is true for Capitol Hill.
The dinner was in a good place. The hotel was a good one indeed.
We did not have much time in Baltimore. It would have been better if we would get guidance to choose place for lunch in Baltimore, as we got last night for dinner.
The tour was good organized. Our guide was very friendly und we were informed about the cities with their sights. The hotel was very comfortable. But in Baltimore there was not enough time. 30 minutes are too little for such a beautiful city. All in all we would travel again with take tours!
The trip overall was ok.Needs more planning in terms of sight seeing as very less time is allocated for so important places.More time has been spent on breaks which crunches time for historical places.
Good trip. I was need it to reach Baltimore though stop in Philadelphia was nice - pretty much to see if take a little walk. Probably you can even take a little bit of Philly's sightseeing bus tour, that serve right at the Taketours's bus stop. Time in Washington D.C. is pretty enough just to take a quick look at the main places. I would spend a bit more time in Baltimore - there is a plenty of things to see and do. Hotel was pretty good. In general it worth payed money. You wouldn't see so much if take greyhound and try to reach everything by yourself.
I am pretty impressed with this trip. I went with my parents who came to here from Indai for a month. Point to point drop in places was really helpful and the coverage was really too good. All the places are covered in Washinton. But instaed of the DC cruise if more time would have given for Baltimore then we could have visited the National Aquaruim there. Next time if they consider this then it will be great.
Trip was good ... Tour guide Sunny explained everything pretty good. The only thing that went bad was we couldnt see Baltimore because of Nascar but the tour guide compensated it with another Museum. Arrangements were very nice.
It was good, the hotel was great! We visited all the places. I just do not like when the tour guide spoke Chinese, his English was really bad. We departed from New York City and the only thing we didn't like is that the only place the bus stopped at was chinatown. I mean the bus should do more stops maybe one in downtown and other in times square, or something like that.
The tour was perfect, tour guy really nice, my only problem was the bad odor that came from the bathroom, I could not breath a one point, they should lack the bathrooms and make more stops so people dont have to use the bus bathroom....I love you guys is just a suggestion
The tour was good for the price. The guide should talk more in English. Mike was friendly. Need more choices of food instead of chinese restaurants only. Potomac cruise is useless as you really can't see much. Overall the trip was good.
Worth every penny !!! i like the tour guide and the Guide was very friendly and made the tour meomarable. only thing to improve is to stop at location where there are more food choices instead of just stopping at chinese resturant. i was stuck becoz i was veggie.. :)
the trip went well. we saw the attractions we must see though we didn't see the other museums because of lack of time but we very much enjoyed what we had. the tour guide worked great and the price is reasonable. this is my second time to travel with this company and i will still book for more trips.
It was worth every dollar! In 2 days we covered a number of attractions! We went to PA and Caverns on the first day and Washington DC on second day! This was the second time going there with this company, it was slightly different from the first trip that I made. Tour guide was very kind, too! I recommend this tour!
I like the trip but could not see all the museums as mentioned as there was hardly 1.5 hours time given. I could see part of Air space museum and preferred to see all the others from outside. However, got a good idea of the place. The hotel Holiday Inn was good.
The trip was reasonably priced and had good accommodations. The guide spoke equally in English and Chinese, and made frequent stops for breaks and places to visit. The tourist attractions were shown as promised in the website, such as Lincoln and Jefferson Memorial, and the Liberty Bell. We have taken another tour in the past, with the same company, 2 nights in Niagara Falls, and had a great time in both places. Overall, we would recommend this tour company to family and friends.
The Washington 2 day trip was really good. we visited Philadelphia, DC and Baltimore. PHI and DC have many attractions. Baltimore has nothing but a seaport. The accommodation was nice. As this is a private tour, we had a solid schedule of places to visit. We covered almost all the places in DC. As two families traveling together, we were really able to enjoy this tour. If you are new to this country, you will get lot of information from the tour guide.
The tour guide was good but very strict in time keeping. :-)
I really liked the tour. Our tourguide was great and very friendly. He knew a lot and it was very interesting. The tour is excellent if you want to see many things but don't have much time. I recommend it!
The tour was great and covered most of the important spots for sightseeing. The bus is very reliable because me and my friend arrived late but the bus came back for us!!! (Thanks Melvin!) Also my friend and I were the only English speaking people on the bus so the tour guide was nice enough to give us personal attention and translate the Chinese comments into English! (Thanks Tommy!)
Before we went there, we were concerned about the weather because of heavy snow. However it was just concern. Evrything was very well organized. We went to all attraction besides DC cruise-it's cancelled because of ice on river-. Our tour guide Alex was kind and funny. There were much more foreigner than Chinese so he spoke in English first then in Chinese. The only problem is short time on museum but it was fine if you decide to see just one section! I recommend this trip.
We got to see many spots in short time. But the tour guides and driver are not very professional, there was a fight with a Indian family which made the whole trip uncomfortable. The worst part is that they left us half a mile away from where we got on the bus, and they insisted that was the same stop. It was so much trouble for strangers in NY like us, next time I will try a more expensive tour other than this one.
The tour was great and we had lots of fun visiting the sites. We enjoyed the tour very much. It was a wonderful tour. The guide was good. We visited many places in two days. The Hotel was awesome. I am planning to visit the others places in US with my all family with the same Tour. Thanks to GotoBus for your services.
The tour was great and we had lots of fun visiting the sites. I wish that we had more time to visit the museums; however, we knew that we were running on a tight schedule. Our tour guides (Vicky and "J") were great, and our driver was careful. Best Western Hotel was a good place to stay. All in all, and especially in view of the cheap cost, the tour was definitely worth it. We can't wait to go on another tour with GOTOBUS again!
The tour was good enough for the price paid. However, it would have been good if it would have covered the few places but with stuff. time for each place to visit instead of just rushing from one place to another. Especially, it should have covered the dolphin show at Baltimore. That's like missing the major attraction at Baltimore. About hotels, they were really nice.
I liked tour very much. It was very quickly but very interesting. Good things: low price, a lot of places were visited, good organization, good hotel.
Bad things: additional money that I need to pay for attractions - it's better to include it into tour price or make a note about this.
I'm very happy that took this tour. It was a good experience! Thank you.
In regards to your review statement "additional money... for attractions - it's better to... make a note about this.", we state the cost of additional admissions on our tour page under "Exlusions" and "Optional Admission Fees". Please refer to these sections to get a better understanding of the total cost for the trip.
We were the only passengers boarding from Philadelphia Bourse. The bus was caught in a jam before arriving Philly hence the tour guide was in a rush for all his schedule. As such, when the bus reaches Philly, the tour guide didn't bother to find us. In the end, it was us who went forward to ask if they were the right tour group. The male tour guide was not very friendly but nonetheless the tour was organized. Stayed in a very good hotel for the night with free breakfast.
Seats were dirty. Caused an itch.
Other than that it was ok.
Also, please consider having a stop/pickup at one of the PATH stations in Jersey City. Considering that there are always a lot of people on the bus from Jersey City, this is a valid request. Otherwise, we have to plead with the driver to stop in Jersey City.
The guides on all my trips (Mr. King, Mrs. Ping) have been nice and helpful.
The only thing they should change is having more time at the Museums and I want to say that the bus driver was very rude but the trip was really nice! The hotel (with an amazing free breakfast), the dinner, the tourist guide (Jason) and the price were absolutely perfect! I am looking forward to doing another trip with GotoBus :D
It was really a very great experience for us to be on the tour. The tour is well planned and covered all the important places. But the time at the museums was not sufficient and the hotel for night stay was far from the city. This time could be spent at the museums. Another point of concern is the lunch and dinner where only the Chinese food is accessible. Rest areas are a far better place to eat. Beyond this everything is fine and the tour is worth the money. We look forward to yet another tour on GotoBus shortly.
For the price, it is hard to complain about the DC tour. I do agree that the Potomac River extra was unnecessary. That time could have been better spent seeing more of the Smithsonian or another DC highlight. The extra last minute add-on of the Shenandoah Cavern turned out to be delightful, but being surprised at the last minute with over $80.00 cost for that and the river boat was not the way things should be done on a tour. One does not expect to be paying extra without being told beforehand. The hotel accommodations were excellent, but because of getting to the hotel at 10 pm and then a very early morning start, it was difficult to appreciate the hotel. The stops to see the tour highlights were too short; maybe there were too many things to see crammed into a short period of time. The driver was very responsible, the guides comments were okay. Overall, the tour was worth it.
This tour is organized very well and we had wonderful experience to visit some of the notable places in the United States. The journey and hotel arrangements are very good and guides took care of us. The driver also drove the vehicles cautiously through the journey and he deserves appreciation. Overall, the experience is very good and I want to thank Gotobus.com for arranging wonderful tours.
I really enjoyed this tour. The guide was excellent who kept sharing all the historical data in English as well as in Chinese when needed.
Its really worth joining this tour. This tour would have been much better if they would have provided hotel nearby DC instead of wasting our time traveling to a hotel which was far away from DC. We lost almost 180 minutes there. The same would have been utilized for site seeing at museums in DC.
Other wise everything was good. Yes I would again like to join some other tours from GotoBus.
At these prices, this is probably the best service a tour agency can provide. The tour guide and driver were really amicable and helpful folks and made the short trip more worth. I have recommended this to my friends.
This is an economical way to see many places. The tour guides were very helpful during the long haul route, and I'd like to give a special thanks to Da, who kept me lively throughout the journey and showed me to my shuttle bus upon return. The visiting places were sort of rushed and it would be nice if there were options to less visit places with more leisure time.
It's a nice trip. The tour guide is nice. Hopefully he will more experienced next time.
The only unhappiness is the broken AC during the first day's trip. It is a nightmare. But the next day, we got another bus with functional AC.
In general, this is a pleasant trip.
We have taken the DC tour, worth the money, but Philly attractions were a bit rushed. DC was covered well. Baltimore and inner harbor were good. Worth the money. Tour guide should've been more experienced. Overall, good trip.
In 2 days Washington DC/Philadelphia, PA/Baltimore, with one night stay in Comfort Inn not bad at all. Tour guide was very informative and so funny. I feel they could have given more time places like museums but they have to cover so many places within the limited time span, well planned and organized.
the two day washington dc/philadelphia tour was a great value for the money. Best Western Hotel overnight stay was great. Stop Over restaurants were not always healthy/nutritious and expensive. The evening meal was too late - around 9pm. All in all it was a good experience.
The tour was good. The hotel given was very comfortable and in a good location with a lot of restaurants nearby. The tour would have been even better if more time was given for museums in Washington. The tour guide was informative.
I liked the tour in parts. I liked that I do not have to drive I do not have to worry about hotel etc., but since I was familiar with DC area I knew what the guide was skipping. Washington Monument, Natural History Museum and Smithosonian Art Musuem was not covered in the tour which could have been covered with the time we had. I would have avoided the Boat Tour of the potomac river. The tour guide gave just 1 hour to National Air Space museum which was insufficient. The hotel provided was good quality and it covered Philadelphia and Baltimore, again tour guide just gave about an hour at both places which was not sufficient and in that hour we had to eat too. The bus company do not allow lavatory to be used on bus although they say it is lavatory equipped bus but on the other side they do stop frequently so it works out ok. Overall the bus was of good quality.
For the money, I can't complain. There is way too much jammed pack into the time so it is rushed. I feel that they need to rethink the schedule. Otherwise, nice and economical. Nice hotel also. Be warned food stops are mostly Chinese restaurants.
It was a wonderful tour for my family. We visited U.S. Capitol, White House, Air and Space Museum, Independence Hall, Liberty bell, Lincoln memorial, and Baltimore. That was really fun. The tour guide was good. Staying in the hotel was comfortable. Many thanks to Go-to-Bus. We hope to take another tour soon.
Overall a very nice experience with my family. i enjoyed a lot. The staff members were very soft spoken and friendly. One should take this tour who wants to save time and money...Truely a memorable trip..!!
I took a group of six family members on this tour. I just wanted to send you a note that we had a very good time. The tour was exactly as advertised and was a very good value. I want to let you know that our guide, Da (Kevin), Johnny and the coach driver, Rocket (Turkish) were all an asset to your company. Da was very helpful, knowledgeable, pleasant, funny and kept things moving along with precision. The cruise on the Potomac was very nice and the dinner at a Chinese restaurant was excellent. We just wanted you to know that we enjoyed our experience with your company and will recommend to anyone who needs such a service. Please let Da, Johnny and Rocket know that we sent this message to you. Thank you,Jim
I was one of the passengers for the Washington Trip last April 17-18, 2010 where our bus as well the replacement bus broke down. I am sure you won't forget that. Let me just say thank you for keeping the positive attitude in that event despite what happened. However, may I just disagree with what you said that that was bad luck. Bad luck would mean -worst case scenario where the bus was running on high speed and the steering wheel going out of control right? But thank God for us, both you and the driver noticed there was something wrong and took action. God still protected us. Despite the delay, my friends and I still enjoyed the waiting time. In addition, you really did not need to sing for us on the way to the hotel (Comfort Inn) on Saturday night however your efforts was really appreciated. In addition, your idea of having some of the passengers introduce themselves and sing in front of everybody was very entertaining on the way back to NY. Also, giving us information of bits and pieces of America's history was very interesting. Keep that up! All in all, we had a great time! Thank you for your efforts! I hope more tour guides are like you Mr. Jason Han!!! I will definitely recommend others to your tours.
I booked this tour as a Mothers Day gift and it was the best idea I've had. My parents had such a great time visiting all the historic places. Daniel our tour guide was the sweetest and very informative. "Thank you Danny". Everyone was so friendly. Great experience. Since my return I have recommended all my friends, family and coworkers.
The 2 day trip to Philadelphia, Washington and Baltimore was great value for money. Although the days were long we got to see everything that was on the itinery and the bonus was staying at the Sheridan Hotel with such comfortable rooms and free internet access. This is my second trip with this company and I look forward to doing more extended trips with them. The only complaint I have is that I am charged quite a bit extra as I travel by myself and I was led to believe that the US charged by the room not by the people in it?
It was a reasonable price for the tour and well organized. I was totally surprised that we had been riding in the bus for almost 7 hours before visitng the first tourist spot in Hershey. They drove us all the way to Williamsport in Pennsylvania and transfer to another bus and join another group (coming from Niagara) to Washington DC. The tour guide Daniel is cordial, but we can't much his English, many pronounciations are not accurate. And many of the tour members are foreigners and not Chinese speaking.
Hi All,Tour was wonderful and was worth the money. Tour guide was an awesome guy who had tried his level best to make the tour a success. The tour is best for 2-3 friends going together, even is good for a single person. There were a few things though I feel could have been better:-1) Tour guide was a Chinese Guy who talk most of the times in Chinese, as majority of people were Chinese speaking. But that sometimes causes chaos for English speaking person(around 10 of us)2) More time could have been allotted to Museums in Washington as compared to memorials.
It was a amazing 2 days bus trip to Washington DC. Well organized. Never hurried unlike other tour agents. Enough time for every single place. The guide was very friendly, patient and humble. Places covered were very good too......
This is my first trip through goto bus service. I had a nice experience with this tour.Everything went well except one thing while returning back to NY stuck in the traffic. Rest all amazing. And also if they could have chosen 1-2 more locations in the Philadelphia where we just got only Independence Home and all are in one place. May be as they chosen Baltimore Harbor instead , so its nice. And hotel stay also good.Guides taken care all the passengers vey well and entertaining. Good to be part of this tour. And i would definitely recommend to others! Just go for it. Enjoy!!
The 2 days bus trip to Washington DC was excellent. However we did not have that much time to fully visit every site. The hotel was suitable. The tour guide, Aaron, was very good. He tried his best to address everyone's needs. Even during the 2 -3 hours traffic. Nice job :)
Thank you very much for your help. We had been to this tour and it was Baltimore and Philadelphia on Day 1. Your efforts and time helped for the trip arrangements. Special thanks to tour guides for their wonderful customer service.Once again, thank you very much for your help.
