Day 1: New York - Philadelphia - Washington DC (251 miles)

In the morning, we will go to visit Philadelphia's newest attraction - One Liberty Observation Deck. Next, customers can choose one from two different destinations: the Tanger Outlets at National Harbor for your Christmas shopping or the ICE! Sculpture Exhibition, an amazing exhibit that features colorful ice sculptures and incredible 20-feet tall ice slides carved entirely from two million pounds of ice.

In the early evening, we will continue to share the message of peace with the National Christmas Tree in front of the White House South Lawn. The grand illumination of the Christmas season is an annual televised event.

    The theme of this ice sculpture festival changes each year, but the level of skill the goes into carving the incredible sculptures does not! The sculptures are illuminated by thousands of small LEDs. THis is fun for the whole family.

    National Christmas Tree

    The National Christmas Tree is lit every year, near the Ellipse by the White House. Surrounding the tree is a walkway lined with smaller trees, called the Pathway of Peace. The tree is decorated with ornaments from all 50 states.

Day 2: Washington DC - Lancaster - Hershey - New York (307 miles)

Today, we will visit the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, which is the largest Roman Catholic Church in the US, and is one of the ten largest churches in the world.

Then, we will head to the Holy Land Franciscan Monastery, the grounds and monastery include many replicas of the iconic sites in the Holy Land.

Heading north, we visit the authentic Amish farm in Lancaster, PA, which is more than 300 years old and is truly an educational experience for visitors. After lunch in Lancaster, we will have a sweet tour of the Hershey Chocolate World.

At the end of the day, we will arrive back at the departure points for dropoff. Please see "Departure and Return" for more information.

  • Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
  • This tour does not accept any City Pass or your own tickets for the attraction. Passengers who take this tour need to purchase admission tickets from tour escort upon arrival.

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    8-10 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    0-7 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain normal operations.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.

  • I took the tour 11-25-19. I had a good time. The tour guide Matthew was friendly, nice, he explained the attractions. I went to the ice sculpture which was nice but very very cold. I went to the amish farm tour which was very nice and interesting. I went to hershey chocolate world, I loved it. It was fun making creating your chocolate bar. This tour was very good.

  • I liked the tour and places we visited just in time for holidays. The only thing is that Bus was very cold, not the one you wanna be on for a long-distance ride during winter time.

  • I really enjoyed this trip. It was my friend who booked this tour for the two of us, but as I enjoyed it very much I wanted to write this review myself. We saw a lot in two days. I particularly enjoyed the Adventure Aquarium, Longwood Gardens, and the Ice sculptures, very beautiful. Would strongly recommend this tour to others. Thank you our guide, Jerry Lin, he did a such a good job.
