Overall Max is a great tourist guides :):) xx
This was a really good trip and I enjoyed it to the fullest.Boris our tour guide made this trip fun and enlightening. He told us the historical significance and interesting facts of the places visited as part of this trip. I also learnt a bit of Chinese on the way thanks to him! Siesie :)
If you are planning to take a trip to the famous places on the east coast without any hassles, would recommend this trip.
I was so amaze how different this tour was compared to the reviews I have read. My hats off goes to our tour guide "Max" who have done a remarkable job, he have made this trip an enjoyable one. For those who is planning to go on this trip don' t be discourage by the negative review I can say it will be worth your while. Well done MAX you're the man!!!
I was little skeptical about the whole bus tour as my wife is gets motion sickness, but this was much comfortable than I expected. Further, friendly and approchable tour guide (Simon) ensured that we make the best of our trip with prior arrangements of tickets for all.
A few pointers to note -
1. Do not buy the entry tickets in advance through any agent or online portal, as taketour has policy of not entertaning those. I had bought Discovery pass for Niagara and could not use those (except made of mist). Indian/Veg food would be challege as most of the co passengers are chinese and bus stops will be around those restaurant.
Overall, we had great trip and thanks to the whole management for that with special mention of Simon.
I was apprehensive when the tour was booked by my better half but it turned out pretty well. I would have definitely liked a little better bus but the short comings of the bus were more than compensated by the tour guide Simon Chen. He would think of everything in advance and keep you informed on every stop and what to expect, what to do, what to see as well as what to look out for. Kudo's take tours for finding someone like Simon.
Tour was awesome as our tour guide, Boris Wu was informative and responsible. Despite the tight schedule, he managed to accommodate an faciliate everyone without antagonising anyone. He has gone out of his way to help booked a hotel at a last minute request by us. Any tour group would benefit With his commitment and helpful attitude. Thank you for organising such a great tour.
This trip was really fun and enjoyable. I just fall in love with Niagara falls.. Our tour guide, Boris, is really understanding and funny tour guide. He's also very knowledgeable about the tour. This tour became more interesting and informational because of him. I would recommend this tour to my friends..
Boris, our tour guide, was a responsible and informative guide. Before or after visiting a destination, Boris would give concise background introduction of a city or an attraction. He was also very patient in resolving arising issues. In the four days that he guided us, Boris had formed good relationships with everyone and his friendliness made the trip more fun.
This tour has passed beyond my expectations! Max (our tour guide) has been very accommodating with all our needs and he's genuinely there for all of us all through tour 4 day tour. So I wish him all well. Definitely going to use this company for our future trips.
It's was second tour with your company and as earlier it was full of fun. Max is excellent tour guide. He is very friendly and it was fun traveliling with him. I have recommended lots of family members and friends and they also have taken tour with your company. Two thumbs up and looking forward to travel more with packages.
Lovely tour, had a great time. Our tour guide, Max was great, he always had a nice story to tell us about every place we visited. The accommodation was perfect and we managed to see and do a lot in such a short time. Awesome!
What a fantastically organized tour! From the numerous sightseeing stops to the food and accommodation it was truly worth every dollar. Our tour guide Max was amazing - he was knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this to my family and friends!
Max was a brilliant tour guide, always had the answers to any questions we had and was always friendly and smiling. He made the tour fun for everyone. The tour itself is one not to be missed, so many sites in so little time may sound stressful but honestly it was 4 whole days of incredibly fun sight-seeing. I'd definitely book another tour with this company again, 10/10 ļ¼ļ¼
The tour i took with your company was wonderful because of our tour guide Boris . He made the tour so Good that we couldn't got any problem in 4 days . He is such a good man I havent seen any guide as responsible as he is . I recommend that every company should have guides like BORIS . Thanks to BORIS ONCE AGAIN HOPE TO SEE U SOON AGAIN š

Aaron Luan was our most excellent tour guide. My daughter Tiffany and I took the New York City to Philadelphia to Washington, DC to Lancaster, PA to Niagara Falls. The tour started on Monday, June 13th. When we got to the tour start at 75 Chrystie Street in Chinatown NYC, we were concerned about taking the trip because there was not a sign or anything about that this was the drop off location. I called TakeTours and was told that I was at the right address and they gave me our tour guide Aaron Luan name and cell phone. We talked to Aaron and he let us know that he would be at the address very soon and in no time and there appeared a bus and Aaron. We were assigned seats on the bus. The bus was very nice and had outlets so we could charge our cell phones and iPad, the bus really needs WIFI. Liked that the bus could be lowered for easier access on the steps of the bus.
Aaron is a very professional tour guide and the information that he gave in English and in Chinese was great. He made sure to let everyone know when to get on the bus and what time we were leaving. He wanted everyone to be on time, but sometimes the people were late getting back on the bus. Aaron was very patient and he explained to everyone that this makes us late to getting to the places on our agenda. The bus stopped every so often for bathroom breaks and snacks. Our first stop was in Philadelphia, PA. We only had 45 minutes to eat, go to the restroom and see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. There were several school trips there, so we didn't have a chance to explore Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. We did get to see the outside of Independence Hall and outside of where the Liberty Bell is located. Our next stop was Washington, DC. We saw the outside of the State Capital, Washington Memorial and went on a tour of the National Air and Space Museum and Tiffany and I walked to the Smithsonian Castle and took some great pictures. The next stop was at the Lincoln Memorial. We had time to take some fantastic pictures of the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Memorial, Vietnam and Korean Memorials. Drove by Jefferson Memorial. Next stop was the Potomac River Cruise. Nice boat ride, but you don't really see anything spectacular. Then off to the Amish Farm in Lancaster. We decided not to do the tour, so we got a chance to shop at Target located next door to the farm. Then next stop: Glen Watkins State Park. Aaron told me that he didn't think that I could handle the steps, and that he would make sure my daughter was safe on the hike. Beautiful area with a lot of waterfalls. Wow! Now we are at Niagara Falls. Decided not to see the Thundering Culture show because we live close to Cherokee, NC and we have seen those kind of shows before and we decided not to go shopping in the outlet malls. We used that time to explore Niagara Falls. We rode the Maid of the Mist boat ride and it was fantastic! The next day, we went to see Niagara Falls in Depth tour, and then went on a 1000 Island Cruise and back to NYC.
None of the hotels had continental breakfasts for us, but we managed to get some snacks to tide us over till lunch.
1st Night was at the Hunt Valley Inn in Baltimore, MD. Very nice hotel and very comfortable.
2nd Night was at the Red Roof Inn and the rooms were upstairs with no elevator, but Aaron helped me with my luggage and even put one piece of luggage back on the bus for me.
3rd Night was at the Clarion in Syracuse, NY. Very nice hotel. We had a great time! We saw all of these great places. Loved seeing DC, Niagara Falls, and 1000 Island Cruise. We learned quite a bit of information and we loved meeting new friends. Aaron was an excellent tour guide and Chris, the driver was an excellent driver
I would highly recommend TakeTours.com for tours. I'm even thinking about our next vacation for next year and thinking about taking the 7day/6 night bus tour from Atlanta, GA to New Orleans, LA; Jackson, MS, Saint Louise, MO; Lake Michigan and Chicago, IL.
It is one of the memorial experience of traveling in our life as a senior couple. Mr. JUPITOR had arranged the total itinerary of the tour in very excellent manner regarding diplomacy in maintaining a discipline of time, sitting arrangement in the bus, providing of clean, good lodging, boarding, refreshing halts for restrooms and all other activities. Due care was taken of tourist with their baggage in all respect. The bus driver also took all precautions during the tour.
With due respect, we have few suggestions -
1. We observed there are many good shops at visitor's center. If you can provide instruction to tourist about those, it will be a great help for people who are interested in shopping.
2. For viewing Caves Of The Wind, proper instruction should have been given for tourist, so that they can go there independently without missing a beautiful spot.
3. Since there are multi-lingual tourists on the tour, though we were absolutely fine with instruction, we observed that sometime it gets difficult to some members to know exact next plan. We suggest you can display plan for the day /next visiting place etc. on TV in the bus so that tourists will get ready for the same.
Our tour guide Max was very friendly and professional . The tour was organized in a very neat manner. Max was very clear about the plan and timings and have enough time in every place so that we could comfortably see the places. He was always available on the phone to meet our concerns. Overall we enjoyed the tour.
This was my first bus tour and I would say I am happy I took this tour...Our guide Max was very informative and helpful..He gave a brief information about all the places we visited. The bus also in quite comfortable. The rooms booked were also good. The only problem was that we could not go to Cave of the winds which was in the itinerary as the day was spent seeing other places which weren't that great.
All in all: Money well spent:)
The tour is as planned as can be but due to time constraints you do end up missing a lot of interesting things. But it is also the best way to see as much as you can in a short time. Overall a good experience. Our guide Max was really informative and understanding. The tour was worth it.
I will recommend this tour for those people who wish to visit many location in limited time frame. Our tour guide Aaron was good and helpful in all matter. Due to limited time availability and long distance to cover, few places where not covered due to time constraint.
The tour was awesome. The tour guide Joe was very good and cooperating. We have enjoyed a lot through the whole tour and covered almost all the places. The bad part is we were given very less time for any travel spot. But that is reasonable because we needed to cover that many places in 4 days time only. The travelling through bus was little hectic because we spend huge times travelling through the bus. The provided hotels are very good but the distance to the hotel from the tourist places are far like 80 to 100 mile away. Anyway, thank you TakeTours for this wonderful trip. We have enjoyed a lot during these days.
I highly recommend this tour, its worth your money and very well planned with respect to the itinerary, stay and commute. Our tour guide, Boris was very friendly, well informed and made our tour very enjoyable.
The only comments are 1) I did not enjoy the Potomac River cruise very much since you get to experience the beauty of DC even without the cruise. The time spent on the river cruise can be spent on other memorials or the Smithsonian Air & space museum. But it is individual preference. 2) There is no wi-fi in the bus and very important to have one. 3) More time in 1000 islands will be better, giving people the choice of which tour they should take. The place needs at least 2 hours for a good time, so the itinerary can be planned accordingly.
Overall, go for it, sit back and enjoy. Coz its worth every penny and you'll not be disappointed.
Aaron Luan, our guide, was a very caring, professional and friendly guide. He made our trip very enjoyable. He went out of his way to make sure that everyone is comfortable. He did all this with calm and big smile. He is a big + to this tour. Thank you.
Customers comments are always welcome. And we do appreciate your feedback!
It was really a great tour. I went with my wife, daughter, and parents. This bus tour will for sure suit for elders as well. The tour guide, Mr. Aarone, was awesome and was very friendly. He did a great job in organizing the trip.
The second day hotel was almost 75 miles away from Niagara. We had to leave Niagara to the same hotel by 7:30 PM. If it was close to Niagara, we could have spent more time in Niagara during the night.
Overall, it was a wonderful trip.
Tour guide James was really excellent. He was very nice person during the complete trip. He has bright future!
Hotel to Niagara was very far. It consumed most of the time in journey where all of us wasted time.
Itinerary says Niagara Night falls illumination, nobody visited it. If the hotel was near we all might have seen it.
My friend and I took the 4-Day Philadelphia, Washington DC, Niagara Falls Tour from New York. Initially we were scared regarding the toilet facility on board, but every three hours a stop somehow managed the job. Our tour guide, Mr. Borris, was very informative and knew his job well. He was helpful and understanding. Although I suggest that better transportation is essential where at least toilet facilities must be provided to old vacationers, as using the toilet was not allowed in the bus with the excuse that it will make the atmosphere smelly. The hotel on the first night was average, the second night was worse, while the third night it was compensated in Radisson Hotel in Rochester, which was a far better accommodation. The itinerary was good but was given very little time as everything felt in a rush. The last day only one attraction was scheduled which was Thousand Island, while the last day return journey was all in the bus. Instead, this day could have been planned better. At least two attractions could have enhanced the timings on attractions on earlier three days. With my overall experience, I recommend the tour to my friends. God forbid if, someone struck with loose motions, he or she will have to abandon the journey as there was no ease for emergency toilet or was never encouraged for its use. I believe the transport / buses requires up gradation of facilities. If they provide wifi facilities on the buses even on fees that could also escalate the attraction further. The driver too was experienced and the guide Mr. Borris was excellent. The Niagara falls visit alleviated all pains and sufferings. However, there is lot of room for improvement in its over all management. Initially I did not know that the upfront online offers are provided to the customers by various online companies end up subletting all these tours to the tour company. To summarize, I had a good experience and will recommend to take this tour.
We enjoyed every bit of the tour. Tour guide, Boris Wu, was amazing. Kind and hilarious; he shared with us a lot of what he knew. Accommodation was fantastic considering the price of the tour. We stayed at a Quality Inn and a Comfort Inn; and lucky us, the stay at Comfort Inn comes with complimentary breakfast. Transportation-wise, it was a big bus which fitted about 60 people. Comfortable and the man maneuvering the bus was great. We did have to rush for time at certain/most attractions, but isn't it all the same in every tour? You simply can't do things at your own pace. For the price that we paid, this is helluva worth every penny.
You got what you paid for. If you are fine with the time they gave you to visit each place, this tour is good. Here is the time they give you for each place:
Liberty bell 40 minutes
Washington monument from far away, Lincoln memorial, Korean war, Vietnam war in 40 minutes. We had to run.
Air and Space Museum 40 minutes
Potomac river cruise 1 hour
U.S. Capital 15 minutes
White house 15 minutes
Hershey Chocolate Factory 40 minutes
Corning Glass Museum 1 hour 30 minutes with lunch
Watkins Glen State Park 1 hour
Niagara Falls 3 hours
Niagara Outlet 2 hours
Thousand Island 50 minutes on cruise
The hotel room we got is standard room but some nights we got old and dirty room.
Mani! Mani! Mani!.... My family almost took Mani home....they could not stop talking about his wonderful services....The tour was excellent and although the 5 members of my family are seniors and the tour consisted of a lot of walking, they did not complain about it....definitely would do it again! :)
