Our tour guide mick was very helpful and strong. Hotels given were very good. Bus driver was also very helpful and nice and gave us smooth drive. Our family enjoyed Niagara trip so much and we are expecting to join taketours for our next trip too.
Thank you for sharing your review, we are very glad to hear you liked the tour.We look forward to the opportunity to serve you for your next trip.
I booked this tour for my family who were vacationing in the US. They joined the tour from May 4th. This was their first trip in the US and they were blown away by the arrangements. They felt very comfortable in the bus and the tour guide was very helpful. My nephew even left the cellphone in the seat and the driver helped us find it in the bus. Most of the places were covered in the trip and there was ample time spent at attractions. The food stops were also very good and they were able to find food that they could eat. They were strict vegetarians and I was afraid they would have trouble finding food but the tour guide was helpful in pointing them to the right places. This was definitely a money well spent trip and I would definitely recommend this to all my friends and relatives.
Thank you for sharing your review, we are glad to hear that you liked the tour guide and help you guys to arrange vegetarian meals for the whole trip. We appropriated your feedback and look forward to the opportunity to serve you again
The tour was worth every penny spent, all the advertised spots were covered, nothing was missed, of course sometimes there was little time for some attractions, but this is a short trip with so many interesting places to visit, so it's not a problem, at least you get to see everything!
We are happy to hear that you loved the trip and we appropriated your feedback and look forward to the opportunity to serve you again.
Extremely well managed and cost effective tour. This works well if you want to cover lot of places in very short time. The hotels were excellent and management was good. Overall very satisfied with the tour. Planning for another tour with TakeTours :-)
My friend and I just arrived from a two day tour of Washington DC, Virginia etc. and again two days tour to Niagara Falls and we had a great time. Everything was perfect, especially Vivian, the tour guide to Washington DC. We saw and did so much in 48 hours, thanks to Vivian for the first tour to Washington DC. This was our first time experiencing the group tour, and I could not have been any happier and satisfied with the packages. She did great job, all the groups members were happy and we were as well. We will recommend to all our friends from India. We loved every minute and were cared for, we feel safe and kind enough, and we will be interested in further tours.
Second tour to Niagara Fall is amazing. Long drive but could not feel that it was 450 miles, thanks to our driver Steve and tour guide Chris. He had to keep all the group members happy. It was a tight schedule, but he managed in spite of some group members always being late. Three cheers to our guide Chris and driver Steve. Before I could forget, the hotels we were staying were good, especially at Niagara that was walking distance from Niagara Falls.. that was great. Thanks once again for wonderful trips, waiting for another trip to Tennessee for four days. Hope that one will be great as well. Thanks you TakeTours.
It's good for the visitors, not good for local residents- a lot of waiting time and actual visiting time is very less. I can recommended this tour for the people who are visiting USA, if you have your own vehicle then don't use this tour.
My wife I took the 4 days trip on May 25th, 2015. Mandy was our brilliant and wonderful guide, and awesome and handsome Nelson was the bus operator. These two made our trip fantastic and a memorable one. I already recommended to few of my friends to take this trip.
On the first day we had a hard time finding the bus and the tour guide in the Philadelphia area even though we were waiting on the same location we choose from the website.then we found out that on the way back there will be no drop-off at the Philadelphia location, but our tour guid helped us to book a bus and they even droped us on the bus location at NYC. The bus driver was very nice and a very good driver.the tour guide is amazing friendly and had a good sense of humor. we enjoyed the trip very much especially the Niagara Falls day. It was magical. Its amazing and cant be described by words. And i advice every one to take this trip. And also i advice you to read the other reviews because it was true and helped us a lot. Tank you take tours.
I joined the trip on September 22 for four days. I took the trip to Niagara Falls. The tour guide Jerry was very friendly and handled the whole trip nicely. Itinerary was a little tight. Overall, it was a very nice trip. I definitely would like to take the tour again!
Tour guide, Jerry, was an ace even when one traveller caused an issue on the last morning, due to the fact he hadn't listened. Tour covered all areas we wanted (Philadelphia was a blink and missed the stop though). Jerry smiled and kept us informed. Couldn't fault any of the accommodations, rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable, with a whole host of pilots around on the last morning. Mr. DJ, the driver, was polite and a gentleman. Niagara Falls was awesome, wet, windy, wild, and the cave of mists included a pair of sandals to take home too! Only thing was the itinerary didn't quite match what was on the Internet, but still they covered everything. The unexpected gorge walk on day two was a super surprise!
I recommend this tour. Our tour guide, Jerry, was most cooperative, disciplined, and helpful. Our fellow travelers, although from different countries like China, India, Malaysia, and Italy, were so friendly that it seemed as if we were a big family. Hotels were too good. All the places were good, but Niagara Falls and Thousand Islands were awesome. We enjoyed our trip thoroughly!
Our tour guide Jerry was an extremely amazing, calm, and astonishing tour guide. Alongside Jerry was our wonderful bus driver, William. Without these two the tour would have never been successful. On the first day of the trip we traveled to Philadelphia and Washington D.C. Since our tour date was right before Independence Day, a lot of the popular attractions were crowded with other tourists. In addition, a lot of the places were closed off due to security purposes. This is of course out of the limitations of what the tour guide can control. So we couldn't blame him at all. When we stopped in Philadelphia in the afternoon Jerry tried his best to bring the group as close as possible to Independence Hall. The Independence Hall was already blocked off limiting people from distance to get near it. The Liberty Bell had a huge line of people waiting to get in. And since the tour was on a schedule, the people on the tour were not able to go inside to see the Liberty Bell. Again you can't blame our tour guide Jerry since a lot of things are out of his control, and he was trying his best to accommodate everyone. When we traveled to D.C. it was no surprise that the White House and the Capital were blocked off. Again Jerry tried his best to bring the group as close as possible to these attractions. I highly recommend the Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. Although we spent a little less than an hour in the museum, it's extremely cool to look at a lot of famous people in wax figures. As for dinner, we stopped at an Asian buffet. The food was average. Our hotel, which was in Maryland was beautiful and spacious. It was fairly clean and very fancy looking. On the second day we stopped by Hershey Park, since it was on our way to Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls is an extremely beautiful place to be. If possible skip the shows and use that time to observe the scenery. For dinner, we stopped at a food court that provided us various options. On the day we were at Niagara Falls that happened to be on July 4th our tour guide was nice enough to allow us to stay in the area until the fireworks were over. The hotel for this night was average. It was fairly big but the lighting in the rooms made it extremely gloomy. However it didn't matter since we were only staying for one night. On the third day, we spent more time exploring Niagara Falls. On this day I do recommend everyone to wear water proof shoes if they are planning to go Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds. Once you are done with both activities, it would seem like you just walked out of the shower literally! In addition to water proof shoes bring an extra pair of clothing so you can change. A lot of the people on the tour had to change since they were soaked. The ponchos that were provided didn't help in protecting our bodies. For dinner, we stopped in an area with a lot of options to choose from such as Asian buffet, Subways, Cicis Pizza, etc. Our hotel was just 10 minutes away. The last hotel was just as nice as the first one. I felt like this hotel catered more to business people. As for the last day, a majority of us went on the Thousand Island Tour, which I would recommend. You would learn and see islands that you didn't even know existed. Afterwards, we had lunch where there were a variety of food places to choose from. Then the bus traveled back dropping people at the locations as indicated on the itinerary.
Overall this tour was great with the exceptions of a lot of people on the tour. The people who were on my tour bus were EXTREMELY RUDE. A lot of these people didn’t know how to tell time and listen to instructions. When Jerry, our tour guide, told everyone to come back to the bus at a certain time, these people arrived 1-2 hours late. These people ran on their own schedule and were extremely selfish. This happened several times! It was completely unacceptable. The tour runs on a tight schedule so you waste your time and everyone else's time for the next sight.
In addition please use the restroom whenever you get a chance to. The drive to each location is very long. Our tour guide did emphasize to use the bathroom before going on the bus but some people refused to listen. In addition the bus does try to stop every 2-3 hours for the restroom. Please take note that these frequent stop does stall the whole group from observing the next location. Although there is a bathroom on the bus, it stays locked. It would seem wrong to lock people out from using the bathroom but it is for best for the group. If the restroom was used frequently it would really start to stink up the bus and since you spend so many hours on the bus it helps everyone.
Furthermore bring a lot of snacks and water with you and put them in a bag next to your seat so you will be able to reach for it while you’re sitting on the bus. In addition try bringing some breakfast food. The hotels that we went to did not provide us with free breakfast. So if you would like to save money bring all the above recommendations.
You are very much safe and secured when you book the tours through TakeTours.com. The tour is amazing and worth the money. TakeTours customer care is awesome, they are very much helpful. Before booking please ensure about the itinerary ,especially when you are adding more guests while booking, as many tours when you see the heading is same but the day wise itinerary is different. So be careful when adding guest after booking the tour already booked. Even though their customer care is very helpful, we should take care while booking.
I took a tour for Washington dc. The tour was amazing. The bus and hotel were nice and comfortable. The tour guide covered a majority of the spots on day 1 but I feel that day 2 was greatly under utilized.
The tour guide could have provided some more time at the museums and should have made a better use of day 2.
The trip was awesome, the tour guide knew a lot and helped us make the best use of the time. Accommodation was good, we stayed at places like Hyatt and radisson.
The only problem was that the bus did not have charging outlets, but it was comfortable other wise.
Nice tours, really worth the money and time
Sam, our tour guide, was a strong leader. I was happy with his efforts and presentation. The bus driver was good also.
The first hotel was a little gross, and the air conditioner in the room didn't work. When we called the front desk, the attendant said he couldn't help us. He also wouldn't give us another room because he said he wasn't the boss. The second hotel was lovely, and the third hotel was very basic but cleaner than the first one.
I highly recommend bringing a suitcase full of snacks and bottled drinks that you can empty each day into a smaller bag that you bring onto the bus (you keep your larger bags and suitcases in a compartment under the bus, but you can bring small bags inside the bus). You are on the bus for 3 hours at a time, so you get hungry and thirsty. Plus, while you are out of the bus, you will get thirsty and hungry and vendors charge $3 to $5 for bottled water and small snacks. You'll save lots of money by bringing your own food and water to munch on during the day.
When the bus stops for lunch and dinner, there are a couple times when they stop at buffet places. I don't recommend eating at them because the food is not good and the service is poor. The cost is $16 per person at the buffet, so walk a little and get fast food, which is only $5 per person. The bus usually stopped close enough to other restaurants, like McDonald's and Subway.
The itinerary was excellent. I loved our time in Washington, D.C., and at Niagara. The Cave of the Winds and Maids of Mist were excellent -- I wish we could have stayed there longer instead of going to the Outlet Mall for 3 hours (That was boring, but the mall is beautiful).
If you sit toward the front of the bus -- from seats 1-30 -- bring a coat, blanket and hat. It's freezing. The back of the bus gets very hot, so the air at the front has to be on high so the people in the back don't get too hot. There is no happy medium -- you'll be either hot or cold in the bus.
Make sure you go to the bathroom whenever they stop! They will not stop to let you go to the bathroom. The Tour mentions there is a bathroom on the bus, but they don't let you use it. They tell you the bus will smell. They are strict on time, so even if you are about to wet your pants, they will not stop. They will open the bathroom in this case, but you will feel embarrassed because they pull out an air freshener and walk you to the back of the bus to the bathroom.
So: Always go to the bathroom at every stop, pack lots of food and water for when you are sitting on the bus, and bring a coat, blanket and hat if you sit in seats 1-30! Other than that, you'll have a blast at the Washington, D.C., monuments (you'll get about 40 min. each at the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorial and about 20 minutes or so at the White House and Capitol Building. Niagara is the best. You get to see the falls at night, and then the next day you go on a boat ride near the falls and then later in the afternoon, you go up a lot of steps to walk alongside the falls. You get very wet, but they provide ponchos and slippers. Ponchos are provided during the boat ride as well. If you have a rain coat or poncho, bring it along just in case it's raining the day you arrive at Niagara. You'll get soaked. But if it rains after your boat ride, you don't have to worry because they let you keep the ponchos.
There were times when I thought I wouldn't recommend this trip to others, but after Washington, D.C., and Niagara Falls, I was so happy I went on this trip. The Corning Museum is really cool too. Of course you sometimes wish you could stay at places a little longer, but that's not the purpose of this tour. It's to get you to a lot of cool places so you can take pictures.
Now that it's over, I'm glad I went!
I joined trip from July 4 to July 7. It was arranged efficiently. Our family really enjoyed it. Strongly recommended to all who would like to enjoy all east cost locations in a single go with cost effectiveness.
Most relaxing tour I've ever have
Not like other tours always rush rush rush learn history. Enjoy the great view of Niagara Falls and shopping all at once. I will recommend this tour to my friends for sure.
I joined this tour on May 30th. It's really amazing tour. All the attractions are so nice. Our family really enjoyed that. The hotel are very nice and clean too. Our tour guide Carmen is very professional. She' really a nice girl. Always smile to us. She never pushes us in a hurry. We felt very relaxed with her.we are lucky dogs. When we arrived Niagara Falls, It's on weekend. So we enjoyed the firework. Everybody's so excited. Our family really had a wonderful time.
