Very professionally conducted tour. Adequate time provided in all the important places. The guide was very informative, caring and professional.
Thank you very much
We had a nice time on this tour. Or tour guide Andy was very helpful and taking care of everything in a polite manner.

Our group includes 3 adults and 3 teens. We had only one week vacation, so we booked Taketours 5 days East Coast tour. All of us are very satisfied with the great services offered from the Taketours staff members. JoJo our tour guide is the best!!! She is very informative and could speak both Mandarin and English fluently. She recommended the best attractions that we should take. Most of these are very good. Overall, she offered us an excellent services, there was no problem during our tour. If we come back to the East Coast in the future, we will contact Taketours again for other tours that they offer.
Excellent tour. Well planned, well executed. Kudos TakeTours on a fantastic job. Our guide Peter was very informative & proactive. He was clear & concise with his instructions for all legs. The hotels were decent. Loved the buses also; driven so well that we all were able to get proper rest take an occasional nap without any jerks &/or sudden breaks.
This was a great tour to explore a part of US in a shorter time with ease on our pocket. Normally I go my own whenever I travel across the world. But this tour was worth for the money we spent for these days. The tour guide Ms. Dazzle Lin was just amazing. With out her excellent management skills this tour could not be a successful. She well managed different nationalities and made sure everything as per itinerary. She was smart, active and keep everybody engaged. So people interacted each other beyond the limit of languages and races. The accommodation provided was great and enough time spent on each location. The improvement can be done to identify more restaurant location or information about it for different nationalities. The driver Mr. David was very helpful and did a good safe job. The tour team David and Dazzle made the trip an excellent and for long happy memories. Highly recommended for the people with less time, want to see more and with controlled budget.
This is very good to move around New York and visit important places with a limited budget. We have very good guide Ms. Dazzle Lin. She knows how to manage a group of 40+ people from a various background. She did an amazing job otherwise, this tour could not be so successful. It may go off track from planned itineraries. The driver was David was very good and cool driving. The accommodations provided were very good. We could get enough time everywhere. The natural food stop where near Chinese restaurants due to more Chinese families with us. Other options were available but no one was not aware of that. But google helped. Overall it was very good experience. I strongly recommend this for families.
Happy tour! My parents enjoyed the tour very well. The tour leader, Randy Zhang, was very professional. My parents like him very much!Thank you, randy. Hope you can see this comment and all my best wishes. : )
We took 6 days East Coast tour and overall the trip was great. Ruth, our tour guide, was really good, was friendly and cooperative. The only problem was lunch and dinner options if you don't like to eat Chinese. Hotel room were really good than I expected
Hey Diksha, thanks for the feedback! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour!
Hi, I m Niranjan. Just loved my experience with Terry & of course TakeTours. Highlight of tour was on 11th May that we joined tour, Terry made us very comfortable & connected with all. He is a lively guy & timely gave us important information. Found very caring for kids & elderly people. Hotels can be improved.
Thank you, Akhil, for your feedback on the hotel. We are glad that you enjoyed the tour!
Tour guide Mani Xu did great job. He is energetic, enthusiastic, and explained things really well during the trip. He spoke good English. He is different and better than many other tour guides we came across during the trip. Overall I recommend this trip any one looking to cover more places in reasonable time. its Money well spent.
We are happy that you enjoy the tour! Thank you so much for the nice feedback!
i'd like to write review to thanks our tour leader leon li. he is a very nice guy and take a good care of our guest. very professional! this tour is majority of Chinese guest, and at very beginning i was worry about how am i going to understand what's going on there. when leon begin to speak English, i knew i will be fine. very clear, and strength forward. when, where and what to do was clear. very nice tour if you come to US first time. should take this one.
Thanks for the great comment, Jason. We are happy that you enjoy the tour!
We took this tour from October 8th, this was probably the only tour I got from DC to DC. It was nice to cover so many places in such little time. Said so, 5 days and 4 cities a lot of hectic experiences, but at the same time you are covering 4 different cities and traveling more than 1000 miles, kind of a roadtrip. Less recommended for seniors.
Best part to stay near the Niagara Falls, worst part very little time for Corning Glass Museum and Quincy Market. Trinity Church was not covered at all.
Pros: Covering so many spots in such less time, this is highly recommended for visitors having less time, and timely transfers to hotels and back to DC. Five stars to Wilson for his beautiful guidance and seat rotation throughout the tours.
Cons: This tour had many cons mostly due to a time crunch. This might not be an enjoyable experience for my friends visiting from India especially with seniors. We had two seniors and were always in a hurry and were absolutely left with not enjoying the places of interest at all. Tour conductors should remove the options for Jet boat ride / thundering water cultural show as you will be left with no time for these. When they left us at the Chinatown in Boston they did not even suggested about where to get dinner from and all the Indian families were roaming about to find food.
This is a very nice tour, and the pick up location is very convenient if you fly to Newark Airport. Just take shuttle to the hotel, then the following day there will be a bus to pick you up. Tour will be conducted in Chinese and English. Our tour leader, Leon Lee, speaks good English, understandable. A very nice man always taking care of his group. One thing needs to be mentioned is if you are vegetarian, you better get yourselves some food when they go to lobster. It is in Chinatown and there is no vegetarian ONLY restaurant.
This was a great tour. We enjoyed every minute of the tour. The tour guide, Zoe Li, was supportive and made sure that all the passengers enjoyed the tour and we covered all the tourist points with ease. My parents came from India for vacation and they liked this tour a lot. I would recommend this tour for friends and relatives.
This was a great tour. We enjoyed every minute of the tour. The tour guide was supportive and made sure that the foreigners like me was taken care of. I would recommend this tour for friends and relatives.
It was a great tour, a lot of traveling but worth it to see so much in such a short space of time. Some places we would have liked to stay longer, but we all don't have the same interests, so that is understandable. At the beginning, we were confused as we thought we were on the wrong trip, as all the other coach passengers except for ourselves and three others were all Chinese, as well as the tour guide. It would have been nice to be advised of this prior to the booking as it was mainly catered for the Chinese passengers. I don't know if this was the norm for these trips, which are provided by TakeTours or not, that they are mainly Chinese tours/passengers. But again the trip had very good driver and tour guide who were very helpful.
I had the best experience as first time traveler with a tour in the United States. I used to travel by myself but this time since I was traveling with my parents, I decided to try the tour. This tour with all the stuff that came with it was an amazing experience which I have to first mention the tour guide. Very organized and completely professional. He did great job in handling the tour in translating the information in two languages, since our tour mostly was Chinese people, and I appreciate his hard work. Since most of our travel was by bus, the great driver did lead the tour in his best way - we did not see any mistakes in the time of 5 days. Highly recommend to travel with this company, and I would definitely get back to them for my next journey.
Lots of things to see and play. Every day is fully loaded with attractions. Expect the last day since we need go back to New York City for drop off people to the airport. Tour leader was professional and friendly. If you guys are lucky enough, you can meet our guide Leon Li. A very sweet guy, even gave away some freebies on the bus.
This was a really good tour package. Our family had a really good time and we enjoyed the tour to the fullest. The tour covered all the important areas in all the cities and provided enough time and flexibility to travelers.
The hotel accommodation was better than we expected. Since we had 6 people on the tour, we expected to get two rooms with 3 people in each room. However, we were pleasantly surprised to get three rooms to accommodate two of us in each room. This was not only convenient but also helped us to freshen up quickly in the morning.
The transportation provided was good given that the price charged. Bus was reasonably comfortable and convenient.
The tour guide (Alan) was very friendly and handled the tour very well. Understanding the Chinese accent takes a bit getting used to.
The problem in the tour lies with food options especially for Indians. The tour guide mentioned that Indians especially if you are vegetarians should go for Subway/McDonald's even for dinner. We observed that all the hotels where we stayed at night has good restaurants at walking distance and could be used as dinner options rather than wandering around and eating unhealthy food.
Nice first 3 days. Last 2 days was mostly traveling. Pretty good managed on time by guide Jojo despite bus fail, we were on time. Accommodation provided must have breakfast and elevator. It was good value tour for money.
Tour was great.. we were able to roam around several cities within a short span of time.. Our tour guide was kind and helped us lot.. Accommodations were pretty good for the amount we paid. Only drawback was limited time frame for each sight seeing place. Other than that, tour was good and fun..
The overall experience was satisfactory. If you want someone to take care of the transportation and accommodation (hotel stay was good), this is the tour you can go for. However, if you want to take it slow and have a relaxing kind of holiday, this is not an ideal selection. I got to see the major tourist attractions in respective cities, but almost everything was touch and go mode, if you know what I mean.. The tour guide was always on the rush, she's the time keeper and probably that's her major responsibility - to keep everyone on time! Probably another tour agency or partner would make a difference. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the cities, I enjoyed the great views. Thank you America!
Totally recommend this tour. It covers all the East coast highlights in the 5 day duration. Thoroughly enjoyed all the attractions with our tour guides Leon and Benny. Both were extremely helpful especially Leon. He took the extra step to make you comfortable. I have taken many tours with guides before, but Leon undoubtedly tops the list. Cheers!
The tour was absolutely worth the money spent. The experience was made much better because of the absolutely excellent tour guides-Boris and Penny. They were very nice and genuine, and the knowledge that they had made the whole experience much better than it would have been had I just visited the memorials etc on my own. You visit 5 cities in 5 days, and therefore there is lot of driving involved, so I would like to thank the driver too (unfortunately didn't get to know his name) as all of us used to sleep in the bus and he was the only one driving for 2-3 hours straight many a times. As others have mentioned, some cruises like DC cruise and Boston cruise were not very necessary but if you want to see the Pentagon or the spot where the Boston Tea Party incident took place, then you might as well take them if you are not from around here and won't be visiting theses places on your own. Because of the cold we missed out on the Niagara Falls tour which was a bit disappointing. But all in all, it was a very good tour and I will recommend it to everyone who is looking for a budget tour.
Amazing experience. All the hotels were great ones. Didn't get good option for vegetarian only people, but we managed to skip some site seeing and buy salads in super markets. Night at Boston in the Chinatown area was bad. Overall, value for money. Thanks!
I took this tour in June 2014 and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable and phenomenal experience! We managed to visit numerous famous landmarks in a short period of time. The amount paid for was totally worth it. Plus, everything was in close proximity, so we didn't have to spend long hours in the bus. Our tour guide was extremely helpful and managed to ease any accommodations. I HIGHLY recommend you to take this tour or any of the TakeTours trips. Everything is planned for you. All you have to do is pay, take pictures, and enjoy the views.
We saw everything we wanted to see on this tour, the guide Jason was knowledgeable and friendly. My gripe is that nowhere on this website through which I booked this tour does it mention that the tour will be through a group called ________, which is primarily Asian based. So I had no prior knowledge that most of the stops for food and even the lobster dinner was at Chinese places.
The stop at MIT in Boston was unnecessary. We cut short stops at other places just to look at the outside of the MIT building. All in all a good experience though.
Overall, the tour was great. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and efficient. The only comments for some hotel(s)- Wyndham, Byblos, Sheraton - the shower and toilet flush did not work properly; as to bus seating arrangement, it's fair to have the rotation, however, special consideration should be given at least to the seniors. We should be seated at least first 2-4 seats for easier in/out access in the bus. Also, only on special cases, seniors will be allowed to use the bus washroom. Other than that, everything was great..thank you,
We enjoyed our East coast trip. Our service provider had a check-in stand on the sidewalk in Chinatown so it was not a headache. The bus driver Scott and tour guide Badman were great! Very friendly and caring. The thing we didn't like is that we got to spend very little time in Boston and Boston is a very beautiful city. And please, do not sign the contract with the Econo lodge hotel next to the Buffalo. That hotel is NASTY! Other then that, everything was great :)
We took this tour from 24 to 28 april 2013. Not a single problem from start to end. Very much value for money; schedule bit hectic but necessary since visiting so many places in 5 days. Our tour leader Calvin very efficient, dynamic and professional
Everything in the tour is good. I enjoyed it very much. We covered a lot of places in .a very short time. Accomodations were also good . our guide was also good but should talk more about the places that we were visiting. Definitely this tour is worth your money.
Patrick is a knowledgeable and professional tour guide.
Not sure if the Sheraton hotels can be marked as 4* luxury at all.
Everyday early start (6-7am) is a bit of too much, which makes holiday more tiring than working.
The itinerary of last day is just visiting two uni. However we started at 6am in order to be back in New York by 6pm.
MIT has already banned the Asian group from visiting, personally I don't see any point to visit the site just for visiting their restroom.
Harvard would follow MIT soon if we keep disturbing their students at 6.30am and flood their cafe with loads of large tour buses for breakfast at 7am!!!
It was quite a good tour which contains several landmark places within only 5 days. But the weak point was limited time for each place. All tourists had to be in rush. I'd like to suggest it'd be better if we can extend the time in the trip, maybe from 5 days to 6-7 days, especially in the city which has several interesting places to visit e.g. New York. I think Boston trip may not be necessary, including the Boston cruise. Some visits not only had limited time, but also including having meal and going to restroom within 50-90 mins!!! I think that was very absurd!!! It would be better to include meals in the trip with extra charge.
Furthermore, the tour guide did not have enough time to give explanation and Q&A in personal. Everything seemed to be very busy!! Most of the time, she did not wait for the whole group to get off the bus but she just led the first half of the group to the places. The rest of tourists could not catch her!!! I don't think this is the good way of the travelling with tour. On the last day, the bus did not stop at the place we had chosen, Flushing - in front of Sheraton hotel. We had to drag all of the luggages with 2 little children to get to Sheraton!! However, this tour would fit to anyone who is looking for the budget tour!!
Arrange this trip for my extended family visiting US for Short time. They were very happy about the experience.only small point may need improvement is Food option. With this regerous schedule if you can stop by to some generic places as food option then people get more choices especially vegeterian.
Tour was a great experience. Kevin , a tour manager, was knowledgeable and lively. We had enough stops for rest rooms and food that too with India restaurants. Stay was comfortable in all the hotels during the tour. Tour manager was changed in between in the last two days of the 5 days tour and Ping Ping was the new tour manager . She was not as effective and informative as Kevin. Overall, however was a good experience as we could cover all relevant places as desired. Some visits such as DC cruise or boston cruise were not necessary as there was no real value addition. Liberty cruise and Nayagara cruise was extraordinary and a must.Thanks.
I have been on 4 tours with this company and all 3 were great except this one. The tour guide left behind a party of 4 from Europe and then had to go back to pick them up. Also, need to stop at places to eat where there is more choice "not just chinese/indian". Other than that the tour covered quite a lot of places with a short period of time.
Jason, our tour guide was meticulous in his planing and the tour went smoothly considering the limited time we had to squeeze in the east coast in 5 days. Moring call at 5.30am is abit tough but I guess we had no choice. It was a good tour and would recomend for friendsto take this tour.
I would never have been able to see the amount that I did if it wasn't for these tours! If you are not prepared to be on time and be on a scheduale then this tour is not for you,but you are missing out! We saw amazing views, our tour guide Karen was fabulous, always informative and funny! The hotels were nice and the tour always tried to give us food options, even though it is mainly fast food. The chinese food and lobster dinner were fantastic! I highly recommend this tour to other students on a budget!
What can I say, we had a short time and this tour fitted the bill in more ways than one. They say you get what you pay for, but this tour we kept on saying, how do they make any money, I certainly hope they are paying Dean well he just made the tour, he was like your favorite teacher at school, you just wanted to listen and take it all in. Dean also got wind that it was my birthday and arranged for a cake for me and everyone, thanks Dean and Allan, it was a great experience. I would not hesitate in recommending GOTOBus to anyone, I just hope they get Dean, surely they cant all be that good, I have been on extensive tours of Europe, Westcoast US and Canada and Dean surpasses them all. Thanks.
We took the 5 day East Coast Tour, it was comprehensive, well conducted and worth the money spent. Our guide Angel and our driver Moe were both very responsive and caring, they did an admirable job to make our tour a memorable one. My only crib against the tour organisers was the upgraded hotel at Niagara (Holiday Inn) was NOT up to the mark. I strongly recommend this tour
Overall, the 5-day tour was splendid. My sister and I had seen lots of famous tourist spots for such a short period of time. It is also an educational tour by itself as we have learned about the origin and history of these popular places. Thank you for our tour guide Jason Song, for giving us the information on all the places we visited... though he needs some polishing with his English pronunciation. But he is a happy, patient, kind and helpful tour guide... and also has a sense of humor.
The hotels we had checked in were all nice.
The only complaint we had was with the driver. He is almost always late during pickup time, and he doesn't smile. We also find him as disrespectful and not courteous. One time, we asked him to take a picture of us inside the bus but he declined, reasoning that it's a hot day. And another time, we gave him our luggage to be placed in the storage section of the bus, but he just TOSSED them inside, and not taking care of our bags.
But I will still recommend this tour to friends as one can see much at such a reasonable package price.
The trip was very nice and we covered the entire place as planned. But it was very tight and the food options were very poor, only Chinese food no other food option. So it was tough to manage for 5 days. If you are planning to go then plan for your food if you prefer something other than Chinese food.
We concluded 5 day East coast tour on May 2'nd and the experience was wonderful. I may not have been able to cover so many places all by myself for my family and hats-off to Mr Jason (guide) & Mr Lee (driver) for managing to exceed our expectatons. Food options need to be better beyond (predominently) Chinese.
The only sour point is that I lost my laptop during this trip while I left by back-pack in the bus and passengers are cautioned not to leave behind electronic belongings in the bus or at best, not carry such items on tour athough I had several compulsions.
My family has just taken a 5 day East Coast Tour. They were happy with the tour. For what it was worth, lot of places were covered & hotels were pretty decent. The only complaints that they had was that there were no resturant options for vegetarian people, it was very hectic & tiring because of the very early start(6:30am)& late arrival time (10pm) at the hotels & everynight Chinese Dinner should not be the option for a multicultural tour.
My family and me just concluded a 5 day tour of the East Coast on your bus tour service. It was excellent. The guide Scot was great. He kept us well informed all the way. The hotel arrangements were great. The places and attractions covered were excellent. The only problem we faced was the overdose of chinese dinners!!!
Great job guys. We will recommend you to all we meet.
I have just completed a five day east coast tour with your company. I personally congratulate Luis Martin (bus driver) and Alan?(tour guide). Both of them made us all feel like part of an international family. They both worked tirelessly to make sure our needs were met. The only thing that had to potential to spoil the tour was a client who joined the tour on the second day. She complained about everything and did not make any effort to fit in with our "family". Apparently she reported that the bus was dirty. This was an unfair comment that Luis did not deserve to be reported on for. Despite this dreadful woman, we all had a fantastic time and have made some life long friends. The only other comment...bus was very cramped, seat were too close together. I could not have lasted any more than five days with my knees jammed up against the seat in front.
Nemaipomenit! The experience for this trip was wonderful and I'm very thankful to GotoBus who covered the complete US East Coast. It was a good trip overall, ALLEN was a great guide and so patient. Hotel stay was excellent, the price is so cheap for this tour!
I highly recommended it and I look forward to referring many more people (from Romania )to go on your trip.
It was a really great experience. Jason was a great guide and so patient. However, we had problems with departure location. We passed night in Renaissance Hotel (departure place) and we were ready to tour at 6:30, but nobody said that the pick up was in the back of the hotel. We were at front door and nobody looked for us.
This trip was a great experience. Especially Guide Bryant was the guide you should go with. I know all other guides will be good if you get Bryant you will be lucky. Hotel stay was excellent. Overall I will recommend this tour to all my friends and way to see new places.
Loved the Tour. Kevin was a nice tour guide. Saw loads of places and the hotels were really nice. The tour guide takes good care of you. Only small problem was finding place for vegetarian food but luckily we found something every time. The price is so cheap for this tour!
I arranged this tour for one of my friends who came from India for a week and he was very much satisfied with the service and places he visited. I will surely use this tour service for my future needs.
The experience was wonderful and I'm very thankful to GotoBus for arranging a very well organized trip. The guidance provided by the guide and any other help has been deeply appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed. I look forward to referring many more people to go on your trip. Keep up the good work.
Well what can I say about this tour. I'm an Australian and I thought the tour was fantastic. The tour was exactly how it says it is on the internet. The price was good and the places were amazing. Bryant was our tour guide (he was awesome...he made the trip) if you can ask for him he'll make your trip much more enjoyable. The hotels were nice and tidy nothing special but its just to sleep in and your back on the tour. 10/10 in my books I'd use the tour company again no worries at all...cheers!
The trip was excellent. Our tour guide was very organized and ensured that we did not suffer long queues. All hotels were good. In this tour 3 out of 4 dinners were spent at a Chinese buffet where there were not many options of eating anything else. Only once did we have a chance to get something else at Wegmans. But this is mostly a personal thing. Overall I highly recommend this tour to everyone.
I am just home from my whistle-stop trip. We had so much fun and saw sights that we never would have seen without the tour. Don't expect to take it easy whilst on this trip, it is full days of quick sight seeing and photo opportunities!! Amazing value for money, the tour guide, Bryant, was fantastic and all the hotels are top notch. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone wishing to see the USA. My only minor negative point would be the lack of an itinerary once we started the tour....I like to know what I'm doing and where I'm staying every day so that is just a personal thing!! If you are thinking of booking this trip.....DO IT!!!
