Today, we will explore the streets of Brooklyn, one of the most exciting boroughs of New York City. With neighborhoods representing all cultures, innovation converges here, and the borough has become synonymous with all things trendy and artisanal. It is constantly evolving, yet it never loses its neighborhood feel. We will stroll through tree-lined streets and discover why Brooklyn is famous for its unique collection of architectural styles which reflect the borough's history. We will see brownstones, carriage houses, and a cornucopia of beautiful churches. Brooklyn has been a home for all kinds of writers and artists, like Arthur Miller, Truman Capote, Larry David, and Jay Z. We will learn about the history of its diverse communities from colonial times to the present day. If we get hungry, we can grab a bite to eat from one of the local food trucks. Over the course of the day, we will visit the neighborhoods of Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Downtown Brooklyn, and Dumbo. After exploring Brooklyn, we will be able to venture out into New York Harbor with all-day cruise passes.
