DAY1 Hometown - New York City

Please arrive in JFK, LGA or EWR Airports

After your arrival in New York City, our staff will meet you at the airport, then transfer you to your hotel. (For guests who arrive at the greeting area of JFK & LGA before 8:30am, a complimentary half day NYC tour including Columbia University, Lincoln Center, Chinatown & Little Italy will be included. The tour ends at 1:30pm, after which we’ll transfer to our hotel). An optional night tour* of the city is available, which begins at 8:00 pm from the hotel, which will be followed by a taste of some of the night life of Manhattan, and its gorgeous illuminated skyline – you'll find out why it's called “the city that never sleeps”!

DAY2 New York City Full Day Tour:

Tour the largest city in America, New York City, where we'll see Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and Ground Zero before visiting the Empire State Building's famous Observation Deck* for some unforgettable panoramic views of the city and beyond. Later we’ll see the United Nations Headquarters before stopping at the world-famous Metropolitan Museum*, home to some of the world’s great artistic masterpieces. The commercial hubs of Rockefeller Center, Times Square, and Fifth Avenue await you, as well as sights such as St. Patrick's Cathedral, the largest gothic-styled cathedral in the U.S. Next, we'll enjoy a Manhattan Harbor Cruise* to see the Statue of Liberty, and afterwards, pay a visit to the USS Intrepid Air and Space Museum* located on the Hudson River. After dinner, we'll return to our hotel for the evening.

DAY3 NYC - Princeton - Philadelphia - Washington D.C.:

In the morning, take a short ride to visit Princeton University in New Jersey, one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions of learning in the U.S. Then we'll head south to Pennsylvania to tour the “City of Brotherly Love,” Philadelphia, where you will see the Old Capitol Building, home of the Liberty Bell, and visit Independence Hall, the historic site of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Take a walk in downtown Philadelphia to see City Hall, which was created in the Renaissance tradition, and is considered to be one of the most sculpturally ornate buildings in the United States. Next, we'll stop at Baltimore’s lovely Inner Harbor in the evening to explore its shops and photograph its tall-masted ships before we arrive in Washington D.C. after dinner.

DAY4 D.C. Full Day Tour

Today’s tour includes viewings of the White House, the Capitol Building (with a tour inside if tickets are available*), the Jefferson Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Roosevelt Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Vietnam and Korean War Veteran Memorials, the Natural History Museum, and the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. There is much to see and experience in this fascinating city, which is the political hub of the United States.

DAY5 Washington D.C. - Hershey - Corning Center - Niagara Falls:

In the morning we'll head north to visit the most flavorfully decadent destination in North America, Hershey’s Chocolate World. Enjoy the Hershey’s Great American Chocolate Tour, which will inform you about the chocolate-making process, from the rainforests where the cocoa beans are harvested to the factories that turn them into delicious bite-sized treats. In the afternoon, on our way to the Canadian border, we'll visit the Corning Glass Center* and browse galleries full of over 45,000 artistic and industrial glass objects. We are scheduled to arrive at Niagara Falls in the evening, just in time to enjoy the gorgeous night view of the illuminated Falls.

DAY6 Niagara Falls - Boston:

As we walk along Goat Island in the heart of the Niagara Falls, where we'll have an unprecedented close-up view of the water in its full force and fury as it crashes over the edge of the 176-foot drop (at more than 6 million cubic feet per minute!) Between April and October, you can take the Maid of the Mist* boat ride, a breathtaking experience that will bring you right to the very edge of the Falls and its drenching thunderous descent. Next, we'll get a one-of-a-kind introduction to the history of the Falls at the Niagara Falls IMAX Experience* before leaving in the afternoon for Boston, Massachusetts. We’ll arrive in Boston in time for a traditional New England lobster dinner, and then a night’s rest at our hotel.

DAY7 Boston - Hometown via Boston or New York:

This morning, we'll begin our final day with a tour of the historic city of Boston. First, we'll visit the campuses of Harvard University and M.I.T., followed by a stop at the Boston Common to see the golden dome of the Massachusetts State House. Later, we'll take a Boston Harbor Cruise* to enjoy the view of this bustling port city from the water, as well as get a look at one of the nation’s oldest battleships, the USS Constitution. After enjoying the culture and atmosphere of Quincy Market with its many shops, restaurants and street performers, the tour will end after lunch with a transfer to Logan Airport (book flights departing BOS after 3pm), and then proceeding to New York City (book flights departing JFK/LGA after 8:30 pm). Please do not fly out from Newark airport.

    • Booking: Please book airline tickets after your tour booking is confirmed, tour booking will be confirmed within 1 business day.
    • Flight arrangement: There are still travel activities on the last day of the tour, when you book the flight for this package, make sure the flight departure time on the last day, leaving New York (LGA or JFK), is after 8:30 pm.
    • Airport pickup: In case of flight delayed (more than 30 mins) or other reasons out of our control, passengers have to pay for their own transportation fee to the hotel.
    • Lodging: Single price is for one person staying in one room. Double, Triple and Quadruple prices are for two people, three people and four people staying in one room respectively. Bedding in each rooms is based on 2 doubles or 1 King or Queen. Roll-a-ways beds are regulations of each hotel, you are responsible for paying the additional cost for roll-a-way bed.
    • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
      Confirmation
    Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 36 hours of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status. Tour requires a minimum number of passengers to operate so reconfirmation is required during low season (Oct to April).
      Redemption
    Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your Confirmation Email (e-ticket). When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print e-tickets to present when you arrive at your destination. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

    The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

    Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours through web mail at Contact Us. Your refund request will be answered and processed promptly. If you do not receive any reply within 2 business days, that means your request is not received successfully; thus, the tour status remains "confirmed". Please contact us immediately at 617.354.2101.

    Cancellation penalties per person as follows, there is 6% handling fee add-on to the penalties.

    • Cancellations received up to 15 days prior to departure will incur a penalty of $175 per booking.
    • Cancellations received within 7-14 days of departure will incur a penalty of 50% per person.
    • Cancellations received within 7 days of departure will incur a penalty of 100% per person.
    • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    • We cannot grant refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.

    Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

    Tour Cancellation
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements (e.g. minimum number of passengers) or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.

    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
