    Day 1

    Grand Canyon (229 miles)

    Today, we will spend our free time exploring the Grand Canyon. Departing Phoenix in the morning, we will travel through the Sonoran Desert and red rock areas of Sedona. When we stop at the Navajo Indian Reservation, we will visit a local trading post that has a great selection of arts and souvenirs. Once we arrive at Grand Canyon National Park, we will tour the East Rim and stop at the best scenic viewpoints. Then, we will enjoy some time in the Grand Canyon Village. Alternatively, we can go on a nature walk. We will stay at the Grand Canyon for the evening.

    Day 2

    Grand Canyon (180 miles)

    We will have the morning free, during which we can take an optional helicopter tour above the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. If we don't choose this option, we can also enjoy a hike around the rim or take the tram to reach scenic viewpoints. Later in the day, we will drive to Phoenix, where the tour will come to an end. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

    • Casual dress is suggested on all tours (shorts, jeans, comfortable shoes). Layered clothing and good footwear is especially suggested for winter months. Sedona is about 10-15 degrees cooler than the Phoenix area.
