Day 1

There really is no city quite like Prague when it comes to Christmas festivities. The entire region of Bohemia puts on a massive festival around this time of year, and the Czech Republic's capital city offers completely unique shopping experiences, allowing visitors to pick up gifts for loved ones like nowhere else in the world. This informal tour will lead us to many of the most well-hidden shopping locations in Prague. Our tour of the city will take us through both the Old and New towns, highlighting some of the best public spaces this beautiful city has to offer, with our tour guide providing historic tales from Prague's rich past. We will traverse the city's winding streets, going from Wenceslas Square in the New Town through Coal Market and Havel's Market, before arriving at the Old Town Square, the city's historic center, where we can see the largest public Christmas tree in the city, after which our tour will end.

Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC

Prague has been an important city for 1,100 years. It is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic, features more than ten museums, and its historic city center is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Coal Market

Though you will no longer find any coal vendors in this small square in Prague, the Coal Market in the city's historic Old Town is still home to many street vendors and artists, though it is never too crowded.

Havel's Market

Havel's Market in Prague's Old Town was one of the city's first open square markets. With countless stalls lining the square, visitors will find no shortage of goods to buy, including produce, arts and crafts, and wooden toys.

Old Town Square

This public square in the heart of Prague's historic Old Town displays some excellent examples of Gothic and baroque architecture; for example, the square's two major churches, Tyn Church and St. Nihcolas Church, each showcase one of these styles.

Wenceslas Square

Wenceslas Square is one of the largest open public spaces in Prague, a cultural and business center for one of Europe's most beautiful cities. The notable landmarks are the statue of St. Wenceslas and the exquisite National Museum of Prague.
