DAY1 Boston - Philadelphia - Washington DC (456 miles)

We’ll leave from Boston in the morning and divide our day in two parts, beginning with a morning tour of Philadelphia that will take us to the birthplace of the American Constitution, Independence Hall, as well as to the iconic Liberty Bell. The afternoon takes us to our nation’s capital, Washington DC, where we’ll visit the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and the White House. After dinner, we’ll transfer to our nearby hotel for the night.

DAY2 Washington DC city tour - Baltimore (Virginia) (39 miles)

This day we will complete our tour of Washington DC with Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans and Korean War Veterans Memorials, Capitol Hill, and the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum*. After lunch, we’ll head to Baltimore, Maryland, stopping for a scenic boat tour on an Inner Harbor Cruise*. The Inner Harbor of the Baltimore seaport is one of the oldest and most historic in the nation. Aboard the cruise you will see the Baltimore skyline as well as the city’s parks and sports stadiums. After dinner, we’ll spend a night in our hotel in New Jersey.

DAY3 New York City Tour

Our third day kicks off in New York City, otherwise known as the Big Apple. We will start with a panoramic view of Manhattan Island from the observation platform of the Empire State Building*, before we head down to street-level for closer inspection. Our tour will proceed to Rockefeller Center, home of NBC Studios and the famous statue of golden Prometheus, and then to the United Nations Headquarters, as well as the bustling commercial mecca of Times Square. In the afternoon, we’ll take the Statue of Liberty Cruise*, which will give you breathtaking water views of Manhattan’s famous skyline and the Statue of Liberty, the must-see moment in New York, and pay a visit to the USS Intrepid Air and Sea Museum*. We’ll then take a moment to browse the curiously lifelike models on display at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum*, where you can greet celebrities and historical figures face-to-face.

DAY4 Thousand Islands - Niagara Falls (251 miles)

We depart Boston in the morning, for our destination, the Thousand Islands, a string of approximately 1,800 islands that span the U.S.-Canada border, stretching for over 50 miles from the mouth of Lake Ontario downstream of the St. Lawrence River.  When you arrive, you will be able to explore the archipelago aboard the Thousand Island Boat Cruise*, which will take you around some of the most beautiful scenery that the region has to offer, through waters that were once patrolled by pirates, now dotted by seafaring vacationers.  You will hear the various legends surrounding the islands and witness the many historic sites that contribute to the lore.  Following the cruise, our journey continues to Niagara Falls, where, in the evening, passengers will have the option of a special night tour of this natural wonder, as the Falls can be quite spectacular when they are illuminated after dark.

DAY5 Niagara Falls - Boston (466 miles)

This morning, we head to Niagara Falls from out hotel. Those who are interested in a special adventure may like to try the Maid of the Mist boat ride*, a one-of-a-kind experience which will take you amazingly close to the wall of cascading water as it rains down from above.  After drying off, we’ll then head to Goat Island, the oldest state park in the U.S., which offers spectacular views of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls.  Not to be missed is the IMAX Experience Niagara Falls*, which will provide you with perspective on the lore, legends, and daredevilry associated with this wonder of the world. After lunch, our bus will begin the return journey back to Boston.

DAY6 Boston City Tour

After a night’s rest back in Boston, MA we’ll finish our trip where we started, with a tour through Boston’s historic streets. We start in the morning with a short drive from Boston to Cambridge where we’ll tour two of the world’s top institutions of higher education. Harvard University, founded in 1636, is the oldest and most historic of the nation’s colleges, boasting buildings that have stood since its earliest days. MIT perennially ranks among the top engineering and technology schools in the world, and is known for its culture of innovation. We’ll then visit the Massachusetts State House, which dates back to the earliest years of America’s independence, presiding atop a hill that overlooks the Boston Common. After a Harbor Cruise* on the Charles River and around the Port of Boston, we’ll admire the library that was dedicated to John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States before completing our visit to Boston at Faneuil Hall, a bustling shopping and dining district where we will have a uniquely Bostonian experience for dinner.
