    This tour will begin when guests have been picked up from the specified departure location in Salzburg. Today, we will journey to the impressive Salzkammergut region, home to stunning landscapes of lakes and mountains. Traveling through the villages of Hof and Fuschl in the lakes region, we will make a brief stop in St. Gilgen, birthplace of Mozart's mother, before continuing to the nearby village of St. Wolfgang, where we will find beauty in abundance. We will enjoy the picturesque scenery as we pass by Lake Krottensee, Huttenstein Castle, the shoreline of Lake Mondsee, and the town of Mondsee. From May to October, this tour will also include a boat trip across Wolfgangsee Lake. In the winter season, it includes coffee and cake. Afterwards, we will return to Salzburg to end the tour.     • Salzkammergut, AUSTRIA

      This resort region in Austria stretches from Salzburg to the the peaks of the Dachstein Mountains. Its name translates to "Estate of the Salt Chamber," named for the organization that ran the salt mines of the Hapsburg Monarchs.

      Mondsee lake

      This lake in Upper Austria is part of the Salzkammergut area, in the Austrian alps. Mondsee is one of the country's last privately-owned lake. The Drachenwand (Dragonwall) is an impressive mountain on the lake's southern shore.

      Wolfgangsee

      This lake in the Austrian countryside lies within the state of Salzburg in the region known as the Salzkammergut resort region. The lake stretches about 10.5 kilometers from northwest to southeast.

      Huttenstein Castle

      This Austrian castle can be found overlooking the small village of St. Gilgen. It has a yellow-orange hue and provides excellent views of the lake from its elevated position.

      St. Gilgen

      This quaint, mountain village sits on a picturesque location on the banks of the Wolfgangsee, a lake in the Salkammergut region of Austria. For many years, the village was the home of Mozart's sister.

      St. Wolfgang

      A small, market village in the Salzkammergut region of Central Austria, St. Wolfgang is named after the local religious figure who built the first church in the area. The White Horse Inn is a famous building in town.
