Be prepared for spending a lot of time on the coach and a couple of early starts (5:30 and 6:30-morning calls). You do get to see at a lot of the area!
Awesome tour. The meals are arranged at the mall so passengers have the choices. The only cons is the time length in Crater Lake. I wish they could stay at the Crater Lake longer including having lunch there instead of going to Grants Pass for the lunch.
This was our first bus tour! It was wonderful. Our driver was great and our tour guide, Nina, was extremely knowledgeable. Loved all our stops- Beringer Winery, the different redwood trees, Paul Bunyon, and especially Crater Lake. We had plenty of rest stops to get off the bus, stretch our legs and take photos. Nina was so great taking photos of us with our iPhones and iPads. I definitely recommend this adventure to all. Our last hotel, Days Inn, was a disappointment.
This was one of the best tours I have been on. Hats off to our tour guide James Liu. He had everything so well organized and on time. He was very well informed on the sights and was very generous sharing his knowledge, which made the tour great. I wish all tour guides were like him.
Big thanks to our tour guide, Sherry and our driver, Doug for making our trip fun and enjoyable. All the places we visited are just amazingly wonderful and especially Crater Lake. I had an awesome time!
This was the best 3 day trip i have been on. The driver and the guide were awesome. Everything was planned on time. The hotels were nice considering the places where we stayed over night. The food stops were mostly at Chinese Buffet restaurants but we never faced a issue as there were options available near those restaurants. Overall a decent experience. I would highly recommend to take the tour as driving the whole stretch alone is a bit too long unless u dedicate 5 days for the trip.
It was a great road trip over Labor Day weekend. For a 3 day, 2 night trip, we had lunch at Napa Valley, and visited 3 redwood national state parks, Crater Lake, Lava Beds, and a photo stop for Mt.Shasta.
Todd, our guide, offered the perfect blend of information on each stop, along with free fruits he brought along each day.
The driver was patient but we didn't have any problems. Everyone on the tour group was very nice when it came to time, no one was late when we needed to board or leave the hotel.
Eureka Red Lion hotel offered good accomodations. The only downside I experienced was the Days Inn at Klamath Falls, the linens were itchy and the bathroom was old and grout was dark with dirt.
My wife and I along with my son-in-law and daughter enjoyed this trip recently. It was well organized and conducted by the tour guide Todd. The understanding and coordination between the driver, Richard and Todd helped in everything going up as per the schedule. Ample time was given to all the places on the trip and the rest stops and food stops were up to everyone's preferences. Additional effort was made by our guide, Todd who actually took the initiative to make printouts of some of the places we were going to. Both Todd and Richard were very friendly and helpful. That apart, the places were fantastic and breath taking. Crater Lake was simply a sight to behold. A must see for everyone. Thanks Todd and Richard for making this trip a memorable and fantastic experience for all four of us.
The tour was well organized. Each of the places in the itinerary was good. Visit to Redwood Forests was refreshing. Crater lake is beautiful with its amazing turquoise color. Sufficient time was given at each place.
we're group of 9 really enjoyed the trip to Redwoods, crater lake and Lava beds. The driver and guide were friendly and knowledgeable. 2nd day 7:30 trip was awesome and thanks for the driver to show the beauty of Oregon, we all left with sweet memories. Thanks to TakeTours.com!
My husband and I took this trip as we wanted a getaway but not get too tired by the drive. It was a good tour through the Redwoods. Bruce, the tour guide was very good. Unfortunately, we did not get to actually see Crater lake due as the weather became foggy/snowy. Accommodations were good.
My husband and I enjoyed this trip very much. Crater Lake is very beautiful. The lake is so blue and without any pollution. Redwood area is very refreshing as well. We loved seeing all the natural beauty during the trip.
