DAY1 D.C. - Hershey's Chocolate World - Corning Glass Center - Niagara Falls (461 miles)

Today we will kick off our tour by departing for Hershey, Pennsylvania, where you will visit the sweetest place in the world - Hershey's Chocolate World. Here you will be greeted by giant Hershey's characters and attend a special demonstration about the chocolate-making process as you explore this mecca of food, shops and entertainment devoted to all things chocolate. Next, we will travel to upstate New York, arriving around noon at the Corning Museum of Glass,* the largest glass museum in the world, with more than 45,000 objects showcasing over 3,500 years of glassmaking history. Be sure to see their live, narrated glassmaking demonstrations before you leave. Afterwards we will travel to Niagara Falls, collectively made from the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. After our arrival in the evening, enjoy a breathtaking view of this natural wonder as intense spotlights shower the Falls with different shades of the rainbow.

DAY2 Niagara Falls - Boston (466 miles)

Today we will enjoy a spectacular view of Niagara Falls up close on the Maid of the Mist boat ride,* which will take us into the rapids at the very base of the Falls in a thrilling half hour you’ll never forget. Be prepared to get soaked as we explore the roar of the Falls on North America’s oldest tourist attraction! (Note: The “Maid of the Mist” is only available April – Oct. 24th.) After this we will stop at the Niagara Falls IMAX Theater to experience the Falls by watching The Falls Movie: Legends and Daredevils,* where you will see behind the mist, myths, and mysteries of one of the most storied natural wonders of the world. In the late morning, we will leave Niagara Falls and travel to the historic city of Boston, one of America’s oldest cities. Upon our arrival in the evening, we will stop for a delicious lobster dinner.

DAY3 Boston city tour - NYC (Time Square) (225 miles)

Today we will take a city tour of Boston, exploring the campuses of Harvard University, the oldest university in the United States, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, or MIT, one of the world’s greatest science and technology schools. We will also visit the Massachusetts State House, the state capitol building and home of the Massachusetts state government. After this, you will be free to wander around Quincy Market, one of Boston’s most popular eating and gathering places, set in a cobblestone promenade where jugglers, magicians, and musicians entertain the passers-by. Then join us as we relax aboard a Boston Harbor Cruise*, giving us a breathtaking view of the city from the water. In the early afternoon, we will head to New York City, arriving in time to enjoy an enchanting Broadway musical performance* in the evening.

DAY4 West Point Military Academy - Woodbury Common Premium Outlets -NYC (Chinatown, Little Italy, SoHo) (148 miles)

This morning we will visit West Point Military Academy, the most prestigious military academy in the country. Known for the caliber of its graduates, its famous alumni include Ulysses S. Grant, Robert E. Lee, John J. Pershing, Douglas MacArthur, and Dwight D. Eisenhower. In the late morning, we will travel to the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, where you can benefit from the bargain prices at the mall’s 220 outlet stores. Everything from designer clothes, to home furnishings, to jewelry, to gifts and specialty items are available at great discounts. We will conclude our day in New York City, where we will explore the area of lower Manhattan, visiting Chinatown and the cast-iron fronted buildings and narrow streets of SoHo. After traveling to Little Italy to pace down its cobblestone streets and smell the delicious aromas wafting from its restaurants and cafes, we will return to our hotel in New Jersey for the night.

DAY5 NJ - Upper Manhattan - NJ (167 miles)

Today we will tour the area of upper Manhattan, journeying through the historic district of Harlem, which was first settled by the Dutch and is now home to Ivy League Columbia University, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (one of the largest cathedrals in the world), and the Apollo Theatre, where legendary musicians like Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown, and Michael Jackson performed. Afterwards we will wind our way through the famous Central Park in the heart of New York City and then travel along “Museum Mile” on Fifth Avenue, named for the many museums and other fine art institutions which line the street. Here, we will stop to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world’s largest art museums, which displays over two million works of art, some dating as far back as 3000 BCE.

DAY6 New York City Tour

This morning we will begin our day tour of New York City. After visiting Chinatown, we will pass through Wall Street on our way to Ground Zero, the site of the former World Trade Center which was demolished in the September 11, 2001 attacks. The tour will continue through the downtown area with a visit to the South Street Seaport, a popular meeting place, and then on to the world-famous Empire State Building,* from which we will gaze across the panorama of the United States’ largest city or enjoy the breathtaking simulated view on the Skyride* virtual tour. Next we will board a New York Harbor Cruise* to see the Statue of Liberty, and continue our tour on land to visit the United Nations Headquarters, Rockefeller Center, and the exclusive shopping district of Fifth Avenue. You can get up close and personal with your favorite celebrities at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum* and see the U.S.S. Intrepid, the famous World War II aircraft carrier, at the Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum.* To conclude our day, we will visit Times Square, the famous neon-lit “Crossroads of the World.”

DAY7 Philadelphia - Washington D.C. (136 miles)

On the final day of our tour, we will enjoy breakfast in Chinatown and then travel back to Washington D.C., stopping along the way in Philadelphia to visit Independence Hall, where George Washington was appointed commander in chief of the Continental Army, the Declaration of Independence was adopted in 1776, and the U. S. Constitution was drafted in 1787. We will also see the Liberty Bell, which has been a symbol of liberty in the United States for over 200 years. After our arrival in Washington D.C. in the early afternoon, the bus will drop you off in the downtown area.

  • CITY PASS: We do NOT allow customers to use the CITY PASS to join the New York City sightseeing attractions included in this tour.
  • Lodging: Single price is for one person staying in one room. Double, Triple and Quadruple prices are for two people, three people and four people staying in one room respectively. Triple and Quad rooms are based on the existing bedding in a room which is 2 double beds.
  • Child Rate: Child rates apply to those 2-9 years and using existing bedding with 2 full-paying passengers (regardless of ages). Please note each hotel room can only accommodate 4 guests (adults or children).
  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
  Confirmation
Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 36 hours of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status. Please do not book any airline tickets until you receive the status of your booking.
  Redemption
Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.

Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .

Cancellation penalties per person for 1-4 days tours

  • 15-30 days or more prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
  • 7-14 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
  • 4-6 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
  • Within 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
  • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
  • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
  • Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
  • There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

Cancellation penalties per person for tours last 5 or more days

  • Up to 46 days or more prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
  • 21-45 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
  • 8-20 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
  • 1-7 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
  • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
  • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
  • There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.

Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.

We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
