Day 1: Anchorage

As guests arrive at the Anchorage International Airport, they will go to the NO.4 luggage carousel to meet with the tour guide, who will help them transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Anchorage

After breakfast, we will leave the hotel at around 10:00, drive to Earthquake Park to learn about the second strongest earthquake in human history. We will also take a panoramic view of Anchorage at Point Woronzof. Then we will go to Lake Hood water airport. After that, we will dive along the Seward Highway and stop by the Beluga Point .Then we will Drive to Girdwood, visit a famous local bake shop and taste fresh made bread and Alaska style soup. After lunch, we are heading to Alyeska Resort, where you can see the Chugach Mountains. At the end, we will gather for shopping on Alaska fifth avenue.

    Earthquake Park

    The 1964 Alaskan earthquake, also known as the Great Alaskan earthquake occurred at 5:36 PM AST on Good Friday, March 27 across south-central Alaska. The destroyed area in Anchorage has since been turned into Earthquake Park.

    Lake Hood Seaplane Base

    This airbase houses nearly 800 planes and other aircraft, this facility is the world's busiest seaplane base, operating around 190 flights each day. It is only a few miles from the central business district of Anchorage.

    Knik Glacier

    Located just 50 miles (80 km) east of Anchorage, Alaska on the northern end of the Chugach Mountains, the ice field averages over 25 miles (40 km) long and over 5 miles (8.0 km) across, making it one of the largest glaciers in southcentral Alaska.

    Turn-again Arm

    A waterway into the northwestern part of the Gulf of Alaska. It is one of two narrow branches at the north end of Cook Inlet, the other being Knik Arm.

    Captain Cook Monument

    The monument in central Anchorage is a multi-storey wooden observation deck with a statue of Captain Cook overlooking Cook Inlet and Anchorage train station.

    Point Woronzof

    Point Woronzof, near Anchorage's international airport, provides scenic views of Cook Inlet and is a great place to watch the sunset and look for bald eagles, ravens, bank swallows, and moose.

    Beluga Point at Seward Highway

    This is a popular stop as you travel the Seward Highway. Here you'll find 180 degree views of Turnagain Arm. There's an extensive viewing area with spotting scopes and interpretive signs. This is an excellent spot to watch the bore tide.

Day 3: Fairbanks - Denali National Park - Fairbanks(272 miles)

After breakfast, we are heading to the Denali National Park by the Northern Lights train, we will depart at about 07:50. You will have the opportunity to delve deep into the interior of the national park and enjoy more exotic winter scenery. At around 17:00, we will head to the Fairbanks, about 4 hours by car, arrive at 7pm. Then the tour guide will take you to the Alaska Borealis Basecamp at about 9:45pm, where you can view the aurora. We will back to hotel at about 2am, arrive at about 3:15am.

Day 4: Fairbanks - Arctic Circle - Fairbanks

Today we will leave from Fairbanks to the Arctic Circle along the Dalton Highway. On the way we will have a chance to see Arctic foxes, wolves, bears and other wild animals. Besides, we will also visit the Yukon River and witness the Alaska Pipeline. After that you will get an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate. On the way back to Fairbanks, we will visit the Borealis Basecamp, take an The Aurora Borealis observation activity at your own expense. If you choose to return to the downtown for rest, we will go back to your hotel after a short break.

    The Yukon River, which is one of the major rivers in North America, runs across Alaska and is injected into the Bering Sea. The whole basin is around 850,000 square kilometers, and is more famous for its natural resources (forests, gold and silver mines).

    Arctic Circle

    The Arctic Circle is the most northerly of the abstract five major circles of latitude as shown on maps of the Earth.

Day 5: Fairbanks

Today we could enjoy a leisurely morning in the hotel. At around 12:45pm in the afternoon, we will depart from the hotel and then enjoy a Asian style lunch. We will firstly be taken to the famous North Pole Village, also known as the "Home of Santa Claus". Walk along the street we coud take beautiful photos with the Christmas trees and polar bear as well as send a postcard from the North Pole. Afterwards we will continue to the Northern Polar Museum at the Fairbanks campus of University of Alaska. Then we will return back to hotel and rest.
At around 5:30pm we will start from our hotel and take a Chena Hot Springs Aurora tour with indoor and outdoor hot spring pool. Then we will go to visit the Reindeer Farm (outside) located in the southeast corner of the resort. After that we will go to visit the Ice Museum. You will have a chance to taste an ice glass cocktail here. In the evening we could experience the Aurora viewing while soaking in the water. We will back to hotel at around 02:00am.

    Santa Claus House

    A Christmas-themed retail store in North Pole, Alaska. It was founded as a trading post alongside the Richardson Highway in 1952.

    Museum of North

    Housed on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus, the museum's mission is to acquire, conserve, investigate, and interpret specimens and collections relating to the natural, artistic, and cultural heritage of Alaska and the Circumpolar North.

    We will visit the Maurice Cultural Experience Center and receive a refund of $12 admission fee if the Northern Polar Museum closed.

    Chena Hot Springs Resort

    Chena Hot Springs was founded over 100 years ago. The resort makes use of the first low-temperature binary geothermal power plant built in Alaska and is working on several alternative energy projects, including production and use of hydrogen and vegetable oil for fuel.

    Try a cup of Apple Martini in cold winter and you could experience the magical sensation of an ice cup touching your lips.

    Aurora Ice Museum

    The present museum is made of a steel framework with hollow walls and consists of a great hall and a lounge. Some of the ice sculptures include a gigantic ice tower and life-size jousting knights. One of the rooms even has a non-functioning ice toilet.

    Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center

    Each exhibit features images of native life in Alaska and miniature images of early gold panning and mining. Images and simulations take you back to the history of Alaska.

Day 6: Free day Fairbanks

After breeakfast, you will check out from your hotel and take a bus to North Aurora camp. Today you can have the free day. You can also choose to enjoy Dog Sledding, snowmobile or ATV at your own expense.

    Fairbanks City Tour

    Fairbanks, Alaska, also known as the "Golden Heart" city, offers visitors various touring options, the most popular of which is a cruise aboard the Riverboat Discovery on the Chena River. Guests can also enjoy Fairbanks' gold mine tours to learn about the city's history.

    Snowmobile, known as a motor sled or a snowmachine, is a motorized vehicle designed for winter travel and recreation on snow.

Day 7: Fairbanks

Today is the last day, and you need to check out before 11:00 am. Please take the shuttle bus according to your flight and make sure you have enough time for airport check in.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of the reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office.     Up to 60 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    31 - 60 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 30 days prior to departure or no show- 100% of total purchase amount.
    Tours without Borealis Basecamp
    Up to 15 days prior to departure - 30% of total purchase amount.
    7 - 14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure or no show- 100% of total purchase amount.

    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 10% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strive to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods, duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
