    Itinerary

We will start from the Temple of Olympian Zeus, ascend to the slopes of the Acropolis rock, finding yourself at the Theater of Dionysus. Passing by the Asklepieion, listen to the healing secrets of Asclepius, the mythological figure who was punished by Zeus for his supernatural remedies. Your path to Acropolis will soon unfold before you; stand in awe at the Propylaea, the impressive marble gate of the hill, and learn the stories of Athena Nike, the victorious deity worshiped by the Athenians. Next we will visit the Parthenon and the Erechtheion.

The Acropolis Museum will be our next destination. Capture the beauty of the Caryatids, the beautiful maidens that supported the porch of the Erechtheion temple, and find yourselves in the Parthenon gallery to admire the wonderful metopes.

    • Athens, GREECE

One of the oldest cities in the world, Athenian history spans more than three millennia, and served as the foundation for much of modern Western culture. Ancient monuments like the Parthenon have been standing for thousands of years.

      Temple of Olympian Zeus

A former colossal temple dedicated to "Olympian" Zeus, constructed from the 6th century BC and completed until the 2nd century AD. The temple's glory was short-lived, as it fell into disuse after being pillaged during a barbarian invasion in 267 AD.

      Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus

A major theatre in Athens, considered to be the world's first theatre, built at the foot of the Athenian Acropolis. The remains of a restored and redesigned Roman version can still be seen at the site today. The site has been used as a theatre since the sixth century BC. The existing structure dates back to the fourth century BC but it has had many other later remodellings.

      Asklepieion

Healing temples located in ancient Greece (and Rome), dedicated to Asclepius, the first doctor-demigod in Greek mythology. Asclepius was said to have been such a skilled doctor that he could even raise people from the dead.

      Acropolis

The Acropolis of Athens is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been standing strong for more than two thousand years. Its most famous building is the Parthenon, an ancient temple dedicated to the goddess of wisdom, Athena.

      Parthenon

A former temple on the Athenian Acropolis dedicated to the goddess Athena constructed from 447 BC to 438 BC. Its decorative sculptures are considered some of the high points of Greek art.

      Erechtheion

An ancient Greek temple on the north side of the Acropolis of Athens in Greece which was dedicated to both Athena and Poseidon. The temple as seen today was built between 421 and 406 BC.

      Acropolis Museum

An archaeological museum focused on the findings of the archaeological site of the Acropolis of Athens. Nearly 4,000 objects are exhibited over an area of 14,000 square metres.
