Day 1: Beijing

Today you will arrive in Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) and Beijing Daxing International Airport(PKX)! Free airport pick-up time: 13:00 and 18:00. Please make sure to meet with our staff at the listed time slots with your claimed baggage. After greeting you, you will be arranged to check in at the hotel to rest and recharge for the wonderful journey ahead.

Day 2: Beijing

Today we will visit the capital of China - Beijing. Tiananmen is the main gate of the Beijing imperial city during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was first built in the 15th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1417). At the northern end of Tiananmen Square is the Palace Museum. The Forbidden City in Beijing is one of the largest and best-preserved ancient wooden structures in the world. It is a national 5A-level tourist attraction and was listed as a world cultural heritage in 1987. Afterwards, we will go to the Royal Garden of the Qing Dynasty in China and the national 5A-level tourist attraction - the Summer Palace.

    Tiananmen Square

    For 500 years, the Forbidden City was the palace of the Chinese emperors. It is divided into two sections, the Inner and Outer Courts. The Palace Museum houses many collections of traditional paintings, jade, and ceramics.

    The Summer Palace is a complex on the outskirts of Beijing, comprised of multiple palaces, gardens, and lakes. The first palace was built in the 12th century CE under the Jin Dynasty, and many subsequent emperors chose to build additions.

Day 3: Beijing

Today, we will go to the Mutianyu Great Wall, a national 5A-level tourist scenic spot, which enjoys the reputation of "the Great Wall, Mutianyu's unique beauty". The wall of the Great Wall remains intact, which better reflects the ancient charm of the Great Wall and has profound historical value and high cultural value. In 1987, the Mutianyu Great Wall was included in the "World Cultural Heritage" list by UNESCO. After that, we will go to the Beijing Olympic Park, check in the main stadium of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the National Stadium - the Bird's Nest and the National Aquatics Center - the Water Cube.

    Mutianyu Great Wall

    Bird's Nest Stadium (Outside Visit)

    Built for the 2008 Summer Olympics, the Bird's Nest Stadium continues to be used for major sporting events. It also houses a shopping mall, hotel and restaurants, making it a great destination for sports fans and foodies alike.

    Water Cube (Outside Visit)

    Built to house the swimming events of the 2008 Summer Olympics, this indoor arena houses massive swimming pools. After the games ended, the building was closed for a short period while part of it was converted to a water park.

Day 4: Beijing-Xi'an (905 km)

This morning, we will go to the national 5A-level scenic spot - the Temple of Heaven. After lunch, we will take the high-speed train to Xi'an, the ancient capital of 13 dynasties.

Day 5: Xi'an

Today we will first go to the national 5A-level tourist attraction and the first batch of national first-level museums - Qinshihuang Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Then go to the national 5A-level tourist attraction - Huaqing Palace, also known as "Huaqing Pool", with Lishan Mountain in the south and Weishui River in the north. After returning to downtown Xi’an, we will first go to Bell and Drum Tower Square and Huimin Street. Afterwards, we will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the Da Ci'en Temple. Finally, we came to the only large pedestrian street imitating Tang Dynasty buildings in the country with the background of Tang culture - Datang Everbright City, which is also a landmark scenic spot in Xi'an.

    Built in 1384 during the Ming Dynasty, the Bell Tower of Xian is one of the most recognizable structures in the city. Standing at nearly 40 meters tall, the Bell Tower is as legendary as it is beautiful.

    Drum Tower of Xi'an

    The Drum Tower got its name from the huge drum located within the building. In contrast to the Bell Tower, where bell was stricken at dawn, drum was beat at sunset to indicate the end of the day.Erected in 1380 during the early Ming Dynasty, it stands towering above the city center and offers incredible view of Xi'an.

    Muslim Street is a historically unique place to wander, shop and eat. All shops and restaurants in the street are operated by Muslims. Culturally fragrant and fantasticstalls inside the narrow alleys sell almost everything you can imagine.     Grand Tang Dynasty Ever-bright City is located between the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and Tang Paradise, full of Tang stylistic elements. Day 6: Xi'an-Shanghai (1220 km)

Today, we will climb the ancient city wall of Xi'an from the south gate, Yongning Gate, which is a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The city wall of Xi'an completely surrounds the "defense" strategic system. The thickness of the city wall is greater than its height, and it is as stable as a mountain. Day 7: Shanghai

This morning we will visit China's largest city - Shanghai. Walking into Yu Garden, a national 4A-level tourist attraction, there are various pavilions, towering rocks, and green trees in the garden. Then we will go to the Chenghuang Temple, which is located in the old city of Huangpu District, Shanghai. It is an ancient temple with rich historical and cultural characteristics. After lunch, we will visit the Shanghai Museum. Then, we will proceed to the Shanghai French Concession. Finally, we will go to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the Bund on the banks of the Huangpu River. The Bund is a symbolic scenic spot in Shanghai, and its essence lies in the architectural complexes of different countries and the night view of the Pujiang River.

    The Shanghai French Concession remained the premier residential and retail district of Shanghai, and was also one of the centres of Catholicism in China. Despite re-development over the last few decades, the area retains a distinct character and is a popular tourist destination.

Today will be the end of your unforgettable and pleasant journey! You can book a suitable flight to leave the Shanghai Pudong International Airport(PVG) OR Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) according to your needs. Our staff only provides one drop-off service from the hotel at 07:00 in the morning. If a guest has an early flight and needs to leave the hotel before 7 o'clock to the airport, the guide can assist the guest for a taxi transportation.

    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office.     Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations

If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
