    Los Angeles - San Francisco (384 miles)

    Upon departing Los Angeles, our first destination is the Pyramid Lake (except Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) where we will visit the museum to see records of the four great ancient floods and modern conservation of the lake. Then we will stop at the outlets at Tejon Ranch. We will arrive in San Francisco in the evening.

      A reservoir formed by Pyramid Dam on Piru Creek in the eastern San Emigdio Mountains, near Castaic, Southern California. It is a part of the West Branch California Aqueduct, which is a part of the California State Water Project. Its water is fed by the system after being pumped up from the San Joaquin Valley and through the Tehachapi Mountains.

    San Francisco - Sacramento - Wendover (618 miles)

    Today we will visit the California State Capital - Sacramento. Founded in 1849, Sacramento was at the heart of the gold rush, Pony Express and first continental railroad. In the afternoon we will head through the famous Donner Pass and enter Nevada - nicknamed the Silver State. We will stay overnight in Wendover.

    Wendover - Casper (530 miles)

    We will travel through the Great Salt Desert in the morning. The saline lake covers an area of around 1,700 square miles, but is subject to substantial fluctuations. In the afternoon we will drive along the Emigration Canyon into Echo Canyon, visit the once traveled Oregon Trail. The trail represents the only corridor to the West. The highlights of the trail also includes: the historical landmarks of Independence Rock, Devil's Gate. Overnight stay in Casper.

    Casper - Crazy Horse - Mount Rushmore - Devils Tower - Gillette (366 miles)

    Today we will visit Crazy Horse Memorial in the morning. Then we will visit Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Next we will continue to Devil's Tower National Monument and spend the night in Gillette.

      Crazy Horse Memorial is the world's largest sculpture-in-progress, and frequent drilling and mountain blasts make each visit unique. When completed, Crazy Horse Memorial will stand 563 feet tall by 641 feet long.

      This in-construction monument to famous Native American war hero Crazy Horse is currently being carved into the side of Thunderhead Mountain in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The completed sculpture would be the largest in the world.
    • Mount Rushmore National Memorial, SD

      This famous United States monument in the Black Hills of western South Dakota depicts the busts of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. The 60-foot tall statues are carved right into the side of the mountains.

      The first declared United States National Monument. It'is an igneous intrusion or laccolith located in the Black Hills near Hulett and Sundance in Crook County. A monolithic rock formation that rises 1,267 feet above the surrounding land and was once the neck of an active volcano.

      This massive monolith in the Black Hills of Wyoming was the nation's first national monument, anointed by Teddy Roosevelt in 1906. In recent years, climbing the rock has become popular. The stone column is considered sacred by many Native Americans.

    Gillette - Yellowstone National Park (251 miles)

    Today, we will visit Yellowstone National Park, the oldest in the U.S., where we will see the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Yellowstone Falls, Mud Volcano, and Mammoth Hot Springs. There is also a diverse array of wildlife that inhabits the park, including elk, moose, and bears. We will spend the night in West Yellowstone.

      Lower Yellowstone River Falls

      Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

      This impressive gap in the earth in the first large canyon on the Yellowstone River. It is 24 miles long, and can reach a quarter-mile in depth and 3/4 a mile in width. It is gorgeously colored.

      Mammoth Hot Springs

      This large complex of hot springs is impressive both for its unique beauty as well as its scale. Formed hundreds of thousands of years ago by volcanic and seismic activity, these springs are one of Yellowstone's most popular spots.

      Mud Volcano Area

      The Mud Volcano blew itself apart in the early 20th century, but visitors can still see the impressive crater and other geothermal features in the surrounding area, such as the Mud Cauldron, Black Dragon's Caldron, and Dragon's Mouth Spring.

      Upper Yellowstone Falls

      Located a quarter-mile upstream of the larger Lower Falls, the Upper Yellowstone River Falls plunge 109 feet down an eroded lava cliff into the basin below. The area below the falls has been subject to heavier erosion than above.

      Grand Prismatic Hot Spring

      The third largest hot spring in the world, the Grand Prismatic Hot Spring gets its color from bacteria around its rim that feed off of the mineral-rich water. In the summer months, the hot spring is a vivid red-orange shade.

    Yellowstone National Park - Grand Teton National Park - Jackson Hole - Salt Lake City (262 miles)

    After breakfast, we will continue exploring Yellowstone National Park, making a stop at Old Faithful. Then, we will drive along the Snake River to reach Grand Teton National Park, where we will have some time to see this breathtaking landscape. After a stop in Jackson Hole, WY, we will drive to Salt Lake City, where we will spend the night.

    Salt Lake City - Arches National Park - Richfield (219 miles)

    We will visit Utah State Capitol building and Temple Square. Then we will head to Arches National Park. The arches and numerous other extraordinary geologic features, such as spires, pinnacles, pedestals and balanced rocks, are highlighted in striking foreground and background views created by contrasting colors, landforms and textures. We will be overwhelmed by the sites of interests that include Park Avenue, Court house, Double arch, South/north windows and delicate arch. Overnight stay is in Richfield.

    Richfield - Zion Canyon - Bryce Canyon - Page/St. George (319 miles)

    Departing Richfield we will visit arguably the two of the most scenic National parks in Southern Utah: Zion Canyon and Bryce Canyon. We will overnight stay in Page or St George.

    Page - Antelope Canyon - Las Vegas (220 miles)

    In the morning, we will depart from Page and head to Lake Powell, a reservoir on the Colorado River. We can take an optional cruise on the lake. Later on, we will continue to Antelope Canyon. In the evening, we will return to Las Vegas.

      Page is a city in Coconino County, Arizona, United States, near the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. Page was founded in 1957 as a housing community for workers and their families during the construction of nearby Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River.

      Lake Powell

      Lake Powell is a beautiful reservoir along the Colorado River amid the vast desert expanses of Utah. It is in the vicinity of the Rainbow Bridge, Ticaboo Canyon, and iconic Antelope Canyon.

      Lake Powell Cruise

      This man-made lake in central Arizona is the second-largest reservoir in the United States, and now visitors can take boat tours of this massive marine wonder. Lake Powell was created by the Glen Canyon Dam in 1969.

      Upper Antelope Canyon is called "the place where water runs through rocks" by the Navajo. Its entrance and entire length are at ground level, requiring no climbing. Beams occur most often in the summer months, as they require the sun to be high in the sky. Light beams start to peek into the canyon March 20 and disappear October 7 each year.

    • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
    • Airport Transfers: Children who are under 8 years old MUST be in a car seat according to California state law. Please enter your child age in the 'Child Age (if any)' field.
    • No smoking is allowed in the hotel rooms at any time. Failure to comply will result in a $300.00 fine payable immediately and charged by Hotel.
    • Hotel rooms are typically designed and equipped for two travelers. They usually feature a queen- or king-sized bed or two double beds, which are meant to provide adequate comfort for two travelers. And if your tour overnight at Los Angeles or Las Vegas, please book it at least 3 days before departure, or you'll pay the addtional resort fees and have no group discount.
    • During September until November, Some of the biggest conventions (Apple Developers Conference, DreamForce, and Oracle OpenWorld) are held at the Moscone Center in downtown San Francisco. The price of check-in dates in Bay Area on September 11-13, September30, October 1-5 and November 4-9 will be higher than the normal days. Please note surcharge may apply, we will notify you of any price change and await your acceptance.

    • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book airline tickets until you have received the confirmation.

      Redemption

    • You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order was received. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your Confirmation Email (e-ticket). When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print e-tickets to present when you arrive at your destination. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

    PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

    The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

    Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. No change in pick-up location is allowed within 2 business days from departure. We are not responsible for the missed tour due to unconfirmed change in pick up locations.

    Cancellations and Alteration fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours through web mail at Contact Us. Your refund request will be answered and processed promptly. If you do not receive any reply within 2 business days, that means your request is not received successfully; thus, the tour status remains "confirmed". Please contact us immediately at 617.500.7002.
    (Notification day and departure day are not counted)

    • Cancellations received up to 7 days prior to departure will incur a penalty of $50 per person.
    • Cancellations received within 4-6 days of departure will incur a penalty of $100 per person.
    • Cancellations received within 3 days of departure will incur a penalty of 100% of total purchase amount.
    • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.

      We cannot grant refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
      There is 6% handling fee of refund amount add-on to the above penalties.

    Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

    Tour Cancellation
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements (e.g. minimum number of passengers) or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.

    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
