Day 1: Boston - Niagara Falls
Today we will drive northwest from Boston to Niagara Falls, NY. Upon our arrival, we will ride the Maid of the Mist and see a movie at the Adventure Theater. Guest will also have chance to watch Illumination of the Falls and Thundering Water Cultural Show. This performance is a celebration of Native American culture and their interaction with the Falls throughout their history. "The Spirit of the Mist" show is performed in time with the falls via a method known as hoop dancing. Then, we will visit Goat Island.
Among the most beautiful natural wonders in the world, Niagara Falls are comprised of three waterfalls that thunder and astound, producing a higher flow rate than any other waterfall in the world and standing at a height of 167 feet.
This famous boat experience has been taking passengers as close to the Niagara Falls as they can get for more than a century. Be ready to get wet-- guests will make their way into the spray itself!
Experience an adventurous boat ride along the Niagara Gorge any time of year. Whether summer or winter, passengers enjoy a climate-controlled boat interior while admiring the natural beauty of the falls. Be sure to pack water-proof gear and dress accordingly.
This movie, shown in the "Adventure Theater" on the American side of the Falls examines the lengths humanity's desire to conquer nature has sent us to and answers the question, "Can you really go over Niagara in a barrel?"
For more than 75 years, visitors to Niagara Falls have been able to enjoy a nighttime illumination of the impressive American and Horseshoe falls. Every night of the year at dusk, visitors can experience the falls a new way.
Niagara, like many impressive wonders of nature, is a sacred place for the local Native American people. This show uses dance as a storytelling medium through which to showcase the impact that the falls have had on native culture.
Goat Island is an Island in the Niagara River located between the two waterfalls that makes up Niagara Falls. Its Terrapin Point is often visited by tourists and offers some of the most breathtaking views of the falls.
