Day 1

New York - Princeton - Philadelphia (141 miles)

2017 Tour:
In the morning we will visit Princeton, NJ and the campus of the prestigious Ivy League school, Princeton University. Next, we will depart for historic Philadelphia, PA to visit National Independence Park, which is where we will find the city's three most historic locations: Independence Hall, Congress Hall and the famous Liberty Bell. We will go to Lancaster to visit the Amish village.

2018 Tour:
In the morning we will visit Princeton, NJ and the campus of the prestigious Ivy League school, Princeton University. Next, we will depart for historic Philadelphia, PA to visit National Independence Park, where we will see Congress Hall and the famous Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, One Liberty Observation Deck. In the afternoon, we will head to Washington D.C., and visit the Madame Tussands in Washington D.C. Next, we will visit the White House (Outside). We will also visit the U.S. Department of Treasury (Outside), Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial and Vietnam War Memorial. (Due to effect of early sunset during winter time, we will visit Lincoln Memorial after dusk.)

    At the top of One Liberty Tower, visitors can get the best panoramic view of the city of Philadelphia from 57 floors above this beautiful city.

Washington DC - New York (203 miles)

2017 Tour:
Today we'll visit many of the most iconic landmarks and buildings in the nation's capital during our visit to Washington D.C., stopping at the National Air and Space Museum, Capitol Hill (outside), White House (outside), Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial(Vietnam War Memorial is next to Lincoln Memorial so that we can walk there for photos. ), Korean War Memorial and Madame Tussands Wax Museum (if time permits). We will return to New York in the late afternoon and get there around 7:00pm. See "Departure and Return Details" for pickup and dropoff information.

2018 Tour:
Depart from the hotel in early morning, we will first visit the US Capitol (exterior, reverse side of $50 bill). We will also visit the Library of Congress (exterior) and Supreme Court of the United States (exterior). After that, we will take the D.C. Cruise along Potomac River to see many of the areas' most historic landmarks and memorials in a unique way. (*When the DC cruise closed during winter, we will visit International Spy Museum instead.). In addition, along the way, you will see the Washington Monument, the World War II Memorial, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and etc. If time permit, we will also visit Newseum,a top 10 ranked popular attraction in Washington D.C. After that, we will head back to New York.

    The capital of the United States of America sits on the scenic Potomac River. Monuments, museums, and Americana characterize this historic city, which is located in the District of Columbia between the states of Maryland and Virginia.

    Jefferson Memorial

    (Passing By) The Thomas Jefferson Memorial is a memorial to the third president of the United States. The impressive building is neoclassical in design and has been standing since 1943. It sees more than two million visitors every year. It's only available during the Cherry Blossom time.

    Korean War Veterans Memorial

    (Passing By) This memorial commemorates those who served for the United States in the Korean War. It is located south of the Reflecting Pool at the National Mall. The simple memorial is triangular in shape will a circle at the top.

    Lincoln Memorial

    This iconic American monument honors the 16th president of the United States. Abraham Lincoln was president during the American Civil War, and is most famous for the Emancipation Proclamation that freed all of the slaves in the US.

    National Air and Space Museum

    One of the Smithsonian Institute's museums in Washington, DC, the National Air and Space Museum chronicles the history of flight. From the Wright Brother to Buzz Aldrin, the exhibits at this museum explore all of humanity's air travels.

    Vietnam Veterans Memorial

    (Passing By) This memorial in Washington, DC serves as a place to remember the American soldier who were lost or killed during the tumultuous Vietnam War. Originally controversial in design, the simple memorial has become a shrine for the American people.

    US Capitol

    (Outside Visit) The famous United States Capitol is the meeting place of the US Congress, and has been for more than 200 years. The building is famous for its elaborate dome and intricately designed, detailed columns.

    Library of Congress

    (Outside Visit) The Library of Congress is the oldest cultural institution established by federal mandate in the US, divided between three buildings in Capitol Hill and a Virginia campus. It is the largest library in the world.

    US Supreme Court Building

    (Outside Visit) The Supreme Court is another magnificent addition to Washington's neoclassical buildings. It is home to the country's highest governing judicial body. Visitors may tour the building on their own and also attend court, provided that it is in session.

    White House

    The world-famous White House in Washington, DC is the official residence of the president of the United States and the place where most of the work is done. The facade of this neoclassical mansion is a global icon.

    Potomac River Cruise

    The Potomac River runs along Washington, DC, the capital city of the United States of America. Visitors to this famous locale can opt to see many of the area's most historic landmarks and memorials in a unique way.

    Madame Tussauds Wax Museum

    International Spy Museum

    Washington Monument

    This iconic obelisk is a memorial to the commander-in-chief of the American revolutionary army and eventual the first president of the United States of America, George Washington. The massive stone structure began construction in 1848.

    World War II Memorial

    One of Washington, DC's many monuments and memorials, the WWII Memorial pays homage to those who served in the US military during that conflict. It was opened in 2002.

    Newseum

    This interactive museum details the history of journalism, news, and media. Established in 1997, it is located in a sleek, modern building filled with multiple theaters and exhibits. It is also where Al Jazeera America has its studios.

  • Hotel & Tour Guide Information: This information will be provided by the tour guide the night before departure between 7:00pm - 9:00pm EST via phone call or text message.   • Tour route may be changed and reversed; you may contact the vendor 1-2 days prior departure to confirm final itinerary

  • Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.

Pricing Policy

  • Buy 2 Get 3rd Free: (1) Cancellation of free-fare passenger must be made at least 7 days before departure. (2) No-show or late cancellation incurs a $60 penalty fee for the reserved bus seat.
  • Child rates: Child rates apply to those who are 0-12 yrs old. Child above 2 yrs must take the seat. Customers are welcome to use child safety seats on that have lap and/or shoulder belts/harnesses for the infant under 2 yrs. Children sharing a room with 2 adult passengers pay the same price as a third or fourth adult. Please note that each hotel room can only accommodate up to 4 guests of any age.

The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.

Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .

Tour Departure: This tour has 100% guaranteed departure; if the tour is cancelled there will be refund of 120%. Restrictions apply; due to weather conditions, State Emergencies, Airport Closures or anything beyond the control of the tour operator the 120% refund will NOT apply.

Cancellation penalties per person for 1-4 days tours

(Notification day and departure day are not counted)

  • 15-30 days or more prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
  • 7-14 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
  • 4-6 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
  • Within 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
  • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
  • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
  • Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
  • There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.

Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.

We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
