Day 1: Chengdu

Today you will arrive in Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU), Chengdu Tianfu International Airport(TFU)! Free airport pick-up time: 12:00 and 18:00. Please make sure to meet with our staff at the listed time slots with your claimed baggage. After greeting you, you will be arranged to check in at the hotel to rest and recharge for the wonderful journey ahead.

    Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu is a mixed-use development located in the Jinjiang District of Chengdu, near the Chunxi Road shopping district. It is located next to the 1,600-year-old Daci Temple which was preserved as part of the construction.

Day 2: Chengdu-Leshan-Emeishan (168 km)

Today, we will start from Chengdu and go to the national 5A-level tourist attraction - Leshan Giant Buddha. The Giant Buddha is a sitting statue of Maitreya Buddha, with a height of 71 meters. It is the largest cliff-carved stone statue in China. Afterwards, we will drive to Mount Emei.

    The Leshan Giant Buddha is a 71-metre (233 ft) tall stone statue, built between 713 and 803 (during the Tang dynasty). It is carved out of a cliff face of Cretaceous red bed sandstones that lies at the confluence of the Min River and Dadu River in the southern part of Sichuan Province in China, near the city of Leshan. The stone sculpture faces Mount Emei, with the rivers flowing below its feet. It is the largest and tallest stone Buddha statue in the world and it is by far the tallest pre-modern statue in the world.

Day 3: Emeishan-Chengdu (158 km)

Today, we will visit Mount Emei with profound cultural heritage. We'll visit Baoguo Temple, then take the cable car to the top of Mount Emei, overlook from the Mount Emei Jinding. Afterwards, we will drive back to Chengdu and visit Kuanzhai Alley.

    Mount Emei is an area of striking scenic beauty. It is also of great spiritual and cultural importance because of its role in the introduction of Buddhism into China. The conscious siting of so many of the cultural monuments, particularly of traditional architecture, within the natural environment makes it a cultural landscape of very high order.

    Baoguo Temple

    Baoguo Temple is the site of the Buddhist Association of Mount Emei. The temple mainly enshrines Buddhist Bodhisattvas as well as sages of Confucianism and deities of Taoism, which makes unique temple of three spiritual traditions. Now the existing main buildings include the Shanmen, Hall of Maitreya, Mahavira Hall, Seven Buddha Hall and Buddhist Texts Library. Under the eaves is a plaque with the Chinese characters "Baoguo Temple" written by Kangxi Emperor and inscribed by calligrapher Wang Fan.

    Mount Emei Jinding

    The Jinding, elevation 3,077 metres (10,095 ft), is the main peak of Mount Emei, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sichuan, China. It is also a common name for the Buddhist Huazang Temple built on the summit. Jinding is the highest Buddhist temple in traditionally Han areas of China. Jinding is known for its "four wonders": the sunrise, the sea of clouds, the "Buddhist halo", and the "divine light".

    Kuanzhai Alley

    Kuanzhai Alley is an ancient street in Chengdu left over from the Qing Dynasty. It is composed of three parallel lanes - a wide alleyway, a narrow alleyway and a criss-crossed alleyway, with courtyards between them. Here, you may drink tea, eat hotpot and experience the old and new way of life in Chengdu. Kuanzhai Alley also comes alive at night due to a couple of modern bars situated there. Feel free to check it out if you are a night-life person.

Day 4: Chengdu-Dujiangyan-Chengdu (122 km)

This morning, we will go to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, an important place for ex situ conservation of giant pandas in China. After lunch, we will drive to Dujiangyan City and visit the great water conservancy project that has been benefiting the people since ancient times - the Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project. Then, we will return to Chengdu.

Day 5: Chengdu Train Chongqing (264 km)

Today we will leave Chengdu and take the bullet train to the mountain city of Chongqing. Chongqing is a national historical and cultural city and the birthplace of Bayu culture. It has a history of more than 3,000 years and has been called "Natural Chongqing" since ancient times. After arriving in Chongqing, we will go to Jiefang Road Pedestrian Street and check in Hongyadong, an online celebrity.

Today we will go to the national 5A-level tourist attraction - Fairy Mountain National Forest Park, which is known as the "No. 1 Pasture in South China" and "Oriental Switzerland", its beautiful forest and grassland scenery is unique in Chongqing. Afterwards, we will return to Chongqing.

  • This tour does not accept any City Pass or your own tickets for the attraction. Passengers who take this tour need to purchase admission tickets from tour escort upon arrival.

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    15 days or more prior to departure - Free cancellation with full refund. Please reconfirm the penalty for the added hotel or flight ticket.
    8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
