    • Dublin, IRELAND

Ireland's most famous (and capital) city was originally a viking settlement. It is home to many landmarks and monument from across its colorful history, such as Dublin Castle, Trinity College, the Molly Malone statue, Mountjoy Square, and much more!

      Trinity College

This research university is the most prestigious in Ireland. Established in 1592, it now educates over 16,000 students. Famous graduates include Jonathan Swift, Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett, and Bram Stoker.

      Guinness Storehouse

The Guinness Storehouse examines both the history of beer brewing as well as the history of the company itself, complete with exhibits demonstrating the brewing process. A free pint of beer for each guest is included on each tour!

      Dublin Castle

The very first structural components of this castle were set down in 1204. It was the seat of the ruling British government until 1922. Only one tower remains of the original medieval structure.

      St. Patrick's Cathedral

The largest church in all of Ireland is the National Cathedral and Collegiate Church of Saint Patrick at Dublin. The spire at its top juts 140 feet into the sky. It was built at the end of the 12th century.

      Kilmainham Gaol

This museum was once a prison in Dublin. It was first built in 1796 and was used to imprison (and eventually execute) many Irish revolutionaries. In 1971, it was converted into the current museum.

      Old Jameson Distillery

This facility was the original site where Jameson Whiskey was made until 1971. In 1997, it opened as a museum that details the history of the company and the process used to make their iconic product.

      Glasnevin Cemetery

This large cemetery opened in 1832. Before then, Dublin's Catholic population had nowhere to bury their dead. Many famous Irishmen are interred here, including Michael Collins and Charles Parnell. It is mentioned in James Joyce's Ulysses.

      Croke Park

Originally opened in 1884, this stadium in Dublin underwent redevelopment in the 1990s, which increased its capacity to 82,000, making it the third largest stadium in Europe.

      Brazen Head

The origin of this pub in Dublin traces all the way back to 1198, when it was merely a coach house. It has welcomed many famous patrons, such as James Joyce, who mentions it in his novel Ulysses.
