El Calafate - Glaciers National Park (68 km)
Today we will leave El Calafate in the morning to spend a day in Glaciers National Park, the highlight of which is the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the only moving glaciers on the planet.

Option 1:
El Calafate
(From 2016-05-01 to 2016-08-31)
Today, we will depart El Calafate on a 4x4 vehicle, traversing a 5-kilometer stretch of paved road until we reach the point where we will go off-road through ranch fields towards the shores of Lago Argentino. We will drive along gravel roads that are overgrown with shrubs and Patagonian bushes, often covered in snow. We will enjoy watching the picturesque scenery that includes frozen lagoons, plateaus, and rivers as we drive up to a scenic point 300 meters above sea level. Looking out from here, we will be able to see multiple archaeological sites. Then, we will descend the plateau and make our way across sand dunes and beaches, eventually stopping for lunch near the Centinela River. Then, we will begin our return trip to El Calafate, passing Mount Comision on the way. This itinerary may vary without prior notice due to weather conditions. Option 2:
El Calafate - Torres del Paine National Park (104 km)
(From 2015-09-01 to 2016-04-30)
In the morning we will leave El Calafate and cross the border into Chile. First, we will visit the town of Cerro Castille and Lake Sarmiento. From there, we will make our way to Torres del Paine National Park. We will spend several hours hiking through the park before leaving at 5:00pm. On our way back, we will make several stops at scenic viewpoints and towns. We will arrive back in El Calafate at 10:30pm.
