    Day 1

    Fairbanks

    As guests arrive at the Fairbanks International Airport, they will go to the NO.1 luggage carousel to meet with the tour guide, who will help them transfer to the hotel. When night falls, we will take bus to the Borealis Basecamp on the outskirts of the city at around 22:00 and enjoy the northern lights. It is expected to arrive at the hotel at about 03:15 in the morning.

      Borealis Basecamp

    Fairbanks - Coldfoot (180 miles)

    Today we will leave from Fairbanks to the Arctic Circle along the Dalton Highway. On the way we will have a chance to see Arctic foxes, wolves, bears and other wild animals. Besides, we will also visit the Yukon River. After that you will get an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate. Then, we will head to Coldfoot where you will have plenty of time to enjoy the nature. We will go to Wiseman's camp to see the aurora borealis. We will stay in the Coldfoot town for the night.

    Coldfoot - Fairbanks

    Today, you will fly back to Fairbanks at around 12:00PM(Flight ticket included), enojoy your free day for the rest of the day. (If flight is canceled. we will schedule a bus to take you back to the Fairbanks with no additional charges)

    Day 4

    Fairbanks - Chena Hot Springs - Fairbanks

    Today we could enjoy a leisurely morning in the hotel. At around 12:45pm in the afternoon, we will depart from the hotel and then enjoy a Asian style lunch. We will firstly be taken to the famous North Pole Village, also known as the "Home of Santa Claus". Walk along the street we coud take beautiful photos with the Christmas trees and polar bear as well as send a postcard from the North Pole. Afterwards we will continue to the Northern Polar Museum at the Fairbanks campus of University of Alaska. Then we will return back to hotel and rest.
    At around 5:00pm we will start from our hotel and take a Chena Hot Springs Aurora tour with indoor and outdoor hot spring pool. After that we will go to visit the Ice Museum. You will have a chance to taste an ice glass cocktail here. In the evening we could experience the Aurora viewing while soaking in the water. We will go back to hotel at about 02:00am.

    Note: if the Northern Polar Museum is closed, we will go to visit Morris Thompson center instead and return $12 to each person.

      Housed on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus, the museum's mission is to acquire, conserve, investigate, and interpret specimens and collections relating to the natural, artistic, and cultural heritage of Alaska and the Circumpolar North.

      Chena Hot Springs Resort

      Chena Hot Springs was founded over 100 years ago. The resort makes use of the first low-temperature binary geothermal power plant built in Alaska and is working on several alternative energy projects, including production and use of hydrogen and vegetable oil for fuel.

      Aurora Ice Museum

      The present museum is made of a steel framework with hollow walls and consists of a great hall and a lounge. Some of the ice sculptures include a gigantic ice tower and life-size jousting knights. One of the rooms even has a non-functioning ice toilet.

    Today is the last day, and you need to check out before 11:00 am. Please take the shuttle bus according to your flight and make sure you have enough time for airport check in.

    • Return Flight Arrangement: Please book the flight that departs from Fairbanks after 1:00PM. If you want to enjoy Ice fishing & Santa Claus House, please schedule your flights departing after 9:00 pm.

    • Booking changes
      A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
    • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
      Regardless of the reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
    • Cancellation penalties per person(Notification day and departure day are not counted)

      Up to 60 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
      31 - 60 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
      1 - 30 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
      Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.

      Tours without Borealis Basecamp
      Up to 15 days prior to departure - 30% of total purchase amount.
      7 - 14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
      1 - 7 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
      Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.

      Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
      There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.
      NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.

    • Itinerary Variations
      We constantly strive to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods, duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
    • Tour Cancellation:
      We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
      We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
