Day 1: Houston-Baton Rouge-New Orleans(330 miles)

Heading to Baton Rouge in the morning and start the tour with our first stop at Louisiana State Capitol. Then, we will go to have a fun adventurous boat ride that showcases the unique eco system of New Orleans region. After hotel check-in, you are free to enjoy New Orleans’s annual carnival - Mardi Gras in French Quarter, which is regarded as a national historic landmark.

Day 2: New Orleans

We will enjoy Mardi Gras the entire day! The grand parades will last until afternoon with various amazing performances. You will also have a great chance to get free gifts or beads from the performer! In the evening, we will be in Bourbon Street, the famous red light district and nightclub area. It is also one of the oldest streets in New Orleans. The street has bars, music restaurants, seafood restaurants. Spanish-style buildings are on both of your sides, such as two-story iron railing balconies, while the open-air bar on the balcony is always a favorite of travelers. Holding a bottle of beer in hand, and watching passers-by on the street. At the same time, it is also a must for the parade of the largest carnival Mardi Gras in the United States. Thousands of pearl chains are thrown down from the balcony on both sides, which is very spectacular.

Today we are going to visit the World War II Museum, which tells the story of the American experience in the Second World War. Then go to Oak Alley Plantation, which is listed as a historical monument in the southern part of the United States, walk into the largest plantation in the United States, and learn about the history that has actually happened. Finally drove back to Houston.

    • If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.
  • Meals and drinks unspecified during the trip.
  • A mandatory service fees: Minimum $12 / day / person should be paid in cash to tour guide and the bus driver as a service fee. Any child / Infant reserving a seat will have to pay the service fees as well. Ex: 2 people taking a 2-day tour would pay: $12 x 2 (seats) x 2 (days) = $48.
  • Personal room fees: such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.

  • Luggage: Each customer may bring on board one checked luggage plus one carry-on bag.
  • Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
  • This tour does not accept any City Pass or your own tickets for the attraction. Passengers who take this tour need to purchase admission tickets from tour escort upon arrival.

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    15 days or more prior to departure - Free cancellation with full refund.
    8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 10% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
  • Some of the destinations may be closed due to Covid pandemic.Please follow your tour leader's instruction. Your kind understanding and cooperation are highly appreciated.
