    Day 1

    Tel Aviv/Jerusalem/Herzliya/Netanya - Golan Heights - Tel Aviv (208 km)

    After pickup we will travel north on the coastal road along the Mediterranean Sea, through the plain of Armageddon as mentioned in Revelations. From here we can see Megiddo site of an ancient Biblical city. When we reach the southernmost point of the Sea of Galilee we will stop to look down on the sea. We will cross the Jordan River at the foot of the Golan Heights and pass through Hamat Gader. We will continue on through the lush green countryside until we reach the Shalom Observatory. Next we will travel to Katzrin, visit the Golan Antiquities Museum, Mt. Bental, enjoy view of Kuneitra Valley and see former Syrian fortifications. Stay overnight in Tel Aviv.

      Golan Heights, or simply the Golan or the Syrian Golan, is a region in the Levant.

      Katzrin Ancient village and Synagogue

      An open-air museum located in the Golan Heights on the outskirts of the Israeli settlement Katzrin. It features the reconstructed remains of a Talmudic-era village.

      Mount Bental

      This dormant volcano is located in the Golan Heights region tat separates Israel and Syria. The top of the mountain offers exquisite views of the surrounding Heights, the other mountains in the area, and into Syria.

    Day 2

    Tel Aviv - Nazareth - Tiberias - Sea of Galilee - Tel Aviv (235 km)

    We will travel pass Herzliya and Natanya, continue to the Mediterranean, drive through the Valley of Armageddon and see Megiddo. On our way towards Nazareth we will see the Mt of Precipitation. In Nazareth we will visit the Church of Annunciation and Church of Saint Joseph. Next we will pass Cana, travel to the Sea of Galilee and see the Jordan Rive. We will visit Capernaum, the home of Peter and the Church of the Multiplication. We will pass the city of Tiberias and reach the southern region of the Sea of Galilee where it is possible to participate in a baptismal ceremony and see Mount Tabor where the Transfiguration took place. Stay overnight in Tel Aviv.
    • Nazareth, ISRAEL

      Nazareth is a city in the Northern District of Israel. At the end of 2007 it had a population of 40,800. Nazareth Illit was founded in 1957. It was planned as a Jewish town overlooking the Arab city of Nazareth and the Jezreel Valley.

      Basilica of the Annunciation

      According to the Roman Catholic church, this church is located on the site where the Annunciation occurred. The church is fairyl young, having been built in 1969.

      St. Joseph's Church

      This Franciscan Catholic church can be found in the Old City of Nazareth, the town of Jesus' youth. Built in 1914, it is named after Jesus' father, the carpenter Joseph.
    • Tiberias, ISRAEL

      Tiberias is an Israeli city on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee (called "the Kinneret" in Hebrew), Lower Galilee, Israel. Established in 20 CE, it was named in honour of the emperor Tiberius.

      Capernaum

      This ancient fishing village on the Sea of Galilee is an important setting in the New Testament of the Bible, in which it is said to be the hometown of the apostles Peter, Andrew, James, John, and Matthew.

      Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish

      This Roman Catholic church in Tabgha, overseen by the Benedictine Order, is named for the part of the New Testament when Christ multiplies the amount of bread and fish present for the feeding of the five thousand.

      Sea of Galilee

      This freshwater lake in northern Israel is the second-lowest lake on Earth, after the Dead Sea. It is an important site in the New Testament of the Bible, considering that Jesus lived in the area.

    Day 3

    Tel Aviv - Caesarea - Haifa - Rosh Hanikra - Acre - Tel Aviv (459 km)

    Today our first stop is Caesarea where we will see the remains of the ancient city and Roman amphitheater. Then we will pass through Haifa and see the Baha'i Shrine and gardens. Our next stop will be at Rosh HaNikra. We will descend by cable car into the network of limestone grottoes. We will also stop at Acre (Akko), see the historical walls, moat and Crusader remains. We will stay overnight in Tel Aviv.
    • Caesarea, ISRAEL

      This town on the Israeli coast was notable in ancient times as being the Roman regional capital and port. Now, it contains one of the best archaeological sites in the area, where you can learn a great deal of history.
    • Haifa, ISRAEL

      Haifa is the largest city in northern Israel, and the third largest city in the country. The city is a major seaport located on Israel's Mediterranean coastline in the Bay of Haifa covering 63.7 square kilometers.

      Baha'i Gardens

      Also known as the Hanging Gardens of Haifa, these terraced gardens provide fantastic views of this coastal Israeli city. The terraces lead up to the Shrine of Bab that sits on Mount Carmel.
    • Rosh HaNikra, ISRAEL

      This Israeli kibbutz is located near the northern border with Lebanon. It is a coastal village, most famous for the grottoes, accessible by cable car.

      Rosh HaNikra Grottoes

      These grottoes are the main attraction in Rosh HaNikra, tuckerd away just below the border with Lebanon to the north and only accessible by cable car. The grottoes were carved out by the seas over thousands of years.

      It played a very important role during the Middle Ages, when it was the base of operations for the European crusading forces stationed in the area. Nowadays, visitors can see the very well preserved remains of the medieval city.

    Day 4

    Tel Aviv - Masada - Dead Sea - Jerusalem (325 km)

    Today we will leave Tel Aviv towards the Dead Sea. On the way we can see the Inn of the Good Samaritan, desert and ancient city of Jericho. Then we will take cable car up to the Masada. Heading back to the Dead Sea we will pass the desert oasis of Ein Gedi and Qumran. At the end of the day we will swim in the Dead Sea. Stay overnight in Jerusalem.

      One of Israel's most popular tourist attractions, Masada is the ruins of an ancient fortress built by Herod the Great that sit atop a rock plateau in the Judean Desert.
    • Dead Sea, ISRAEL

      This body of water that sits on the border between Israel, Palestine, and Jordan. The mineral-rich mud of the sea is said to have incredible therapeutic properties, and visitors are encouraged to cover themselves in it from head-to-toe.

      Qumran

      (Passing By) An archaeological site in the West Bank managed by Israel's Qumran National Park.It is located on a dry plateau about 1.5 km from the northwestern shore of the Dead Sea. It is best known as the settlement nearest to the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were hidden, caves in the sheer desert cliffs and beneath, in the marl terrace.

    Jerusalem

    Today we will enter the Old City, pass through the Armenian Quarter. We will stop at the Kotel, the Western Wall and the Church of Holy Sepulchre . Next we will have a short tour of the new city by visiting the Yad Vashem.

      Over the past thousands of years, this city has seen some of the most defining moments in human history. It is where Jesus was crucified, Solomon built his temple, and Mohammed made his final pilgrimage.

      Old City

      This section of Jerusalem covers less than one square mile, but nonetheless is one of the city's most famous areas. The four quarters of the city (Muslim, Christian, Armenian, and Jewish) all meet in this central area.

      Armenian Quarter

      (Passing By) As one of the four quarters of Jerusalem, the Armenian Quarter contains a great deal of historical buildings and monuments. It was established in the 4th century after the Armenian diaspora.

      Wailing Wall

      This small section of the ancient wall of Jerusalem is one of the city's most popular spots for Jewish prayer. In ancient times, it was built to protect the second major temple that was constructed on the Temple Mount.

      Church of the Holy Sepulchre

      This church within the Christian Quarter of Old Jerusalem was built in 335 on the site believed to be the location of Jesus' crucifixion and near his tomb.

      Yad Vashem

      Yad Vashem is Israel's official memorial to Holocaust victims. Established in 1953, Yad Vashem is on the western slope of Mount Herzl on the Mount of Remembrance in Jerusalem, 804 meters above sea level and adjacent to the Jerusalem Forest.

      Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to visit Yad Vashem due to the sensitive content.

      Itinerary Variations

If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

      Tour Cancellation:
      We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour..
