We will begin our journey around Hawaii's Big Island in the middle of a lava field, giving us the feeling like we are landing on the moon. Lava created the wave-like, rippled fields that spread as far as we can see. We will see how the landscape of the island changes dramatically as we travel around. Later in the day, we will stop at Royal Kona Coffee, a remarkable place of organic beauty. During the day, we will also visit the Hamakua Macadamia Nut Farm, Rainbow Falls State Park, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the Jaggar Museum and Hawaii Volcano Observatory, and Punaluu Black Sand Beach. We will also stop at Big Island Candies to enjoy some of the island's world-renowned treats. We will also experience the Thurston Lava Tube. During the journey, we will also catch glimpses of Parker Ranch, the Hamakua Coast and more.

    Volcanoes National Park showcases Hawaii's interesting geological history. Near the town of Hilo, Mt. Kilauea, and the Thurston Lava Tube, the park boasts an incredible, dynamic landscape that is often reshaped by local volcanic activity.

    From May 24, this attraction will be closed. We will just pass by it.

    Jaggar Museum & Hawaiian Volcano Observatory

    A volcano observatory located at Uwekahuna Bluff on the rim of Kilauea Caldera on the Island of Hawaii. The observatory monitors four active Hawaiian volcanoes: Kilauea, Mauna Loa, Hualālai, and Haleakalā. Located at the main site is the public Thomas A. Jaggar Museum.

    Punalu'u Beach

    Punalu'u Beach also called Black Sand Beach located between Pahala and Na'alehu on the Big Island of Hawaii. The beach has black sand made of basalt and created by lava flowing into the ocean which explodes as it reaches the ocean and cools.

  • Sugar-Free treats available for purchase at the Big Island Candies Factory.
  • ADA Accessible: Due to limited availability, we require that ADA vehicle reservations be made a minimum of 48 hours prior to date and time of service. Not all stops on this tour are ADA accessible.

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print and bring e-ticket(s) on your trip, as they serve as proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • Cancellations/No Shows:
    A 10% service fee is withheld for any cancelled reservation paid by credit card. The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    There will be no charge for cancellations made by 12 noon, the day prior of scheduled service. Thereafter the full charge will apply.
    No shows will incur full charges - No refund.
  • Prices may vary and are subject to availability by season, weekend, and/or holiday.
  • While we will make every effort to maintain a regular operation, we reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip and issue a full refund to affected customers under special circumstances.
