Guests will be picked up from their hotels or in the port area of Kusadasi. Then, we will drive towards Ephesus. Before we arrive at the ruins of the old city, we will stop at the ruins of St. John's Basilica that rest atop Ayasuluk Hill. Then, we will reach Ephesus, an important center of early Christianity. We will continue to the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Greek Theater, the Library of Celsus, and many other well-preserved buildings. While we take a quick break to enjoy a lunch of delicious Turkish cuisine at a local restaurant, our guide will explain interesting facts about the city and its surroundings. After lunch, we will visit the House of the Virgin Mary, where she is said to have spent the final days of her life. This small cottage in the foothills near Ephesus has been a destination for pilgrims for centuries, and is a holy site for both Christians and Muslims. Then, we will go to the nearby village of Sirince, known for its delicious fruit wines. Afterward, guests will be returned to Kusadasi.
