    La Paz

    Today guests will gather in La Paz. After pickup from the airport, guests will be transferred to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at their own leisure.

    Day 2

    La Paz

    In the morning we could enjoy own free time before touring the city of La Paz, which is located in west - central Bolivia. At an elevation of roughly 3,650 m above sea level, La Paz is the highest capital city in the world.

    Day 3

    La Paz - Sun Island - La Paz

    At around 7:30 am we will overland transfer from La Paz to Copacabana by bus. Then we will come to visit the Cathedral and the main square. Afterwards we will take a Catamaran cruise from Copacabana to Sun Island with buffet lunch on board. On the Sun Island we will tour around to visit the Inca garden, Inca stairs, Inca water spring and the Sun Island Inti Wata Complex. Then we will observe an original Kallawaya Ancient ceremony. After that we will participate in an ancient sailing demonstration. Then we will continue to visit the Pilkocaina Incan remains. In the afternoon we could take a Catamaran cruise to Chua and stop at Tiquina strait. Then we will leave for la Paz from Chua Port by bus. Lastly transfer to the hotel in La Paz.

    La Paz - Oruro - Uyuni (623 km)

    After breakfast we leave by bus and train (Tuesday or Friday) to Uyuni, the primary function is as a gateway for tourists visiting the world's largest salt flats - the Salar de Uyuni.

    Uyuni - Salar de Uyuni - San Juan/Chuvica (78 km)

    After Breakfast, we'll enter the Salt Flats traveling across this stunning landscape to Incahuasi Island by taking an half hour Land Cruiser. Then we will have a lunch in the center of the salt flats. After that we will continue with the same transport to the Salt Hotel. Then we will arrive to San Juan or Chuvica and spend the night and dinner.

      Incahuasi Island

      Isla Incahuasi is a hilly and rocky outcrop of land and former island in Bolivia situated in the middle of Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat, at an elevation of 3,656 meters.

      Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat, at 10,582 square kilometers. It is in the Daniel Campos Province in Potosi in southwest Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes and is at an elevation of 3,656 meters above sea level.

    Day 6

    San Juan - Red Lagoon

    Today we will leave for the Green lagoon, which is located to the feet of the volcano Llicancabur. Afterwards we will continue to Polques, where we have lunch, break. Then we continue to the Red Lagoon, visiting the active Volcano Ollague, the lagoons of Canapa, Chiarcota and Sling, lagoons that are populated by flamingos. In the afternoon we will continue our journey passing the desert of Siloli where we will observe an interesting rocky formation well known as the Tree of Stone. Then we will spend the night and dinner here. 
    • Laguna Colorada, BOLIVIA

      Laguna Colorada is a shallow salt lake in the southwest of the altiplano of Bolivia, within Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve and close to the border with Chile. The lake contains borax islands, whose white color contrasts with the reddish color of its waters, which is caused by red sediments and pigmentation of some algae.

    Day 7

    Red Lagoon - Green Lagoon - Uyuni

    At around 5:00am we will leave Laguna Colorada early to make it to the first stop,Sol de Manana. Next stop is the Hot springs. From here we will drive towards the Laguna Verde passing through the surreal desert of Salvador Dali. Arriving at Laguna Verde before 10:00am, we will be able to see the Volcano Lincacabur guarding the laguna. Afterwards we will come to the border transfer those heading to Chile. Then we head back towards Uyuni.
    Note: Those wishing for a 4 day journey will spend the night in Villa Mar in a rustic lodge and return to Uyuni leisurely on day 4. Those wishing to do it all in 3 days will come back to Uyuni via San Cristobal and arrive approximately at 6:00pm.

    La Paz - Tiwanaku (163 km)

    Visiting The The Square Murillo, Cathedral, Palace of Government, Church of San Francisco, Viewer of Quilli Quilli, Gold Museum, Market of the Witches and the Valley of the Moon. Then we go on through a highway asphalted to Tiwanaku, visit the Archaeological place of Tiawanaku and their main ceremonial centres within 2.5 hours: The Pyramid of Akapana, Semi-underground Temple, Temple of Kalasasaya, The Door of the Sun, etc.

    Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.

    Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .

    Cancellation penalties per person

    (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    • 8-14 days or more prior to departure - 30% of total purchase amount.
    • 4-7 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    • Within 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    • Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    • There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.

    Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

    Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
