Our tour guide, Sam, is a very informative and helpful guide! He shared many stories, tips and even advise us on what to wear/eat/do at the places we stopped at. The itinerary was well planned, we covered many places in a day but be prepared to wake up early. Some of the tours and entrance fees are excluded so u gotta bring cash to pay for them. It helps if you know mandarin as the group has a majority of Chinese to understand what's going on more, but important info are conveyed in English so there are not problems. Overall, it's a good tour!
I took this tour on May-6 2018 with my husband and two young kids.our guide was Edward and the driver was Yu. I cannot say enough in favor of this tour! our guide was excellent, he looked after everything, explained everything in both Chinese and English. as a non Chinese customer I felt that we got all needed information in English. Edward made sure everyone is comfortable and was extremely thoughtful, polite and nice. he even gave us the weather forecast for everyday and advised us of what to wear, and what to look out for.at one time he even carried my heavy back pack when I realized I carried to much for the walking distance at the Horse-shoe bend, really, above and beyond our expectations. They made exactly enough convenient stops for restrooms and they even made stops for supermarkets so we can get groceries and not spend money at the hotels for dinners or Breakfasts.it was so convenient travelling this way, just sitting back and enjoying without driving or thinking about where to get a meal. Although we got to see many places at a short period of time I didn't feel rushed or missing out on something! and the return times were explained in detail so no one was late. the tour was wonderful, the best part for me was the Lower Antelope canyon tour, just amazing! and worth spending the extra cost. They didn't charge one penny more than they wrote in the web site: do read it all, especially the exclusion fees so you know the full cost. the people on the bus were very nice although most didn't speak English they were very polite, and we even made some friends in spite of the language barrier. the driver Yu, was extremely polite and a very careful driver! I scare easily by fast driving, but I really felt calm with this driver!hotels were ok, clean and comfortable, even had swimming pools! so my kids were thrilled! the hotel in Las Vegas was the best. It was a great tour for my family, I recommend it warmly.
First I should say that I greatly enjoyed this trip. Second, there are some specific details that prospective travelers need to understand about this tour, so that they know what they are getting themselves into.
The tour is run in both Chinese and English. The guides explain everything in both languages and are very professional. Most of the travelers are Chinese, and many do not speak English.
There are several activities that are listed as optional. In fact, if you do not do the optional activities you are wasting your time. Be prepared to pay extra for the Lake Powell boat tour, Antelope Canyon jeep ride, dinner at the Little Hollywood in Kanab Utah, Las Vegas night tour, Grand Canyon admission, and $35 mandatory tip to the driver. That is an additional $250 over the listed tour price. There is also a helicopter ride, admission to the Skywalk Glass Bridge, and Las Vegas show tickets. You could skip those without missing out much. All payments have to be done in cash.
A few of the meals are included, but there is a problem. Several busloads of people are released simultaneously and fight over the food. Could be organized better for sure.
On the last day there is a visit to the Ethel M chocolate Factory and the adjacent botanical cactus garden. Some reviewers have complained about this stop. It is actually very good, as long as you understand what to expect and like that sort of thing. You get to see the actual factory through a glass window, the machines involved in various stages of the process, and the workers busy with their daily tasks. The entire factory is a single room, making you wonder how such a small space can output so much chocolate. The cactus garden is a small area next to the factory building. It contains many cactus species from around the world, labeled with their English and Latin names. Some of them have little interesting stories about their history and significance.
