Day 1

In the morning, guests will be picked up from the specified departure location in New York City. Then, drive to Albany, stop by Washington Park, where the Tulip Festival is held, coinciding with Mother's Day. After that, visit the New York State Museum downtown. Next, we will go to the Empire State Plaza to see the New York State Capitol. Afterwards, return to New York City, where the tour will come to an end. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

Albany, NY

Albany is the capital city of the U.S. state of New York. Roughly 150 miles (240 km) north of New York City, Albany sits on the west bank of the Hudson River, about 10 miles (16 km) south of its confluence with the Mohawk River.

Albany Tulip Festival

This highly anticipated spring tradition occurs in Albany's Washington Park when thousands of tulip bulbs blossom into a sea of colors just in time for Mother's Day. Many smaller events make up the greater tulip festival.

New York State Museum

This museum is a research-backed institution in Albany, located on Madison Avenue, attached to the south side of the Empire State Plaza. It features exhibits detailing the political, social, and cultural history of New York State.

Washington Park Historic District

The major park in the city of Albany, Washington Park hosts numerous local festivals and gatherings. In the 1970s, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Empire State Plaza

It was marketed as a "Design for the Future". Now, the Plaza as an icon of 20th century Modernist architecture. It features 10 state government buildings set on a six-story platform connected by a quarter mile long underground concourse.

New York State Capitol

This building in Albany houses the New York State Legislature and is located in the Empire State Plaza on State Street in Capitol Park. It is was the most expensive government building of its time at $25 million.

City passes are not accepted during an escorted tour due to the fact that they do not correspond into the tour schedule. Guests need to purchase admission tickets from tour guides.
Itinerary may change without notice
Itineraries are subject to change due to the weather, transportation and other conditions, in order to provide the best experience for you.
In case of attraction closures (due to holidays or construction, etc.), tour guide may make some necessary changes to the itinerary accordingly.
Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.

Confirmation

All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
15 days or more prior to departure - Free cancellation with full refund. Please reconfirm the penalty for the added hotel or flight ticket.
8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
Within 7 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation:
We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure of the tour, TakeTours only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.

Re: 1-Day Albany Tulip Festival May 12, 2018 Searching tour, first found 2-day, then only found 1-day, both are available. Email said 8:00 am at 75 Christie, text said 7:30 at 90 Bowery, go with latest. We had 2 vans, prefer 30-seat bus. State Museum - 1 hour, 15 minutes okay. Capitol - tour not available weekends/during festival. Tulip Fest - Wish we could change to a rain date, 1 hour 45 minutes okay. Executive Mansion - can you drive by, it's behind the State Museum. Subways including J line are at Canal & Broadway, rider requested drop-off. Museum & fest were lovely, Take Tours always goes beauty spots, and gives good information. Thank you, I appreciate this service, there is no other.

I loved it! My mom was so happy, she was just so excited! The Tulip Festival was stunning!! Also, our guide, Guy, was amazing and very special with mom. He had a lot of surprises! This is a must do trip!
