    New York (14 miles)

    Today, guests will fly into one of the three major airports in the New York City area (JFK, LGA, EWR). A guide will meet them in the baggage claim area for domestic flights and in the passenger waiting area for international arrivals. There is complimentary shuttle service from the airports to the hotel. Those who arrive at JFK or LGA before 3:00pm will have the option of touring Flushing, Queens at their own leisure. Those who arrive at EWR before 12:00pm will be able to go shopping at the Jersey Garden Outlets. Anyone who arrives before 4:30pm can join an optional night tour of New York.

    New York

    Our first stop of the day will be the Empire State Building to overlook this magnificent city. Then, we will take a Statue of Liberty Cruise to get up close to Lady Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. After that, we will go to the USS Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum. In the Financial District, we will visit the New York Stock Exchange, Charging Bull, Trinity Church, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Times Square, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, and the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. Later, on a bus tour, we will see Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center, the United Nations Headquarters, Ground Zero, and the under-construction One World Trade Center.

      Brooklyn Bridge

      Easily one of New York City's most recognizable landmarks, the towering arches of the Brooklyn Bridge have welcomed drivers to the island of Manhattan for years. The two automobile lanes of the bridge are divided by a designated pedestrian walkway.

      Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum

      This famous military history museum on Manhattan's West Side is inside the now-defunct World War II aircraft carrier, the USS Intrepid. Exhibits include real military aircraft as well as recreations of military life aboard the ship.

      New York Stock Exchange

      The "big board" and headquarters of the NYSE is located at the heart of Wall Street, in a distinctive classical-style building that is both a National Historic Landmark and a member of the National Register of Historic Places.

      Charging Bull

      This bronze sculpture that sits at the northern tip of New York's Bowling Green Park is ready to strike! It was commissioned to represent the "strength and power of the American people" after the stock market crashed in 1987.

      Trinity Church

      Built in the mid-1800s, Trinity Church (also called St. Paul's Chapel) is the oldest public building that is in continuous use in NYC. The current church is the third on this site; the first Trinity Church was built in 1698.

      The Metropolitan Museum of Art

      Madame Tussauds Wax Museum

      Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum is a favorite attraction of people all over the world. Uncannily lifelike wax sculptures of figures both modern and historic decorate the halls of this museum, which dates back to London and 1836.

      Rockefeller Center

      (Passing By) A member of the U.S. National Register of Historic Places as well as a National Landmark, the world-famous Rockefeller Center (named for John. D. Rockefeller's son) in Midtown Manhattan has been a New York hub since the 1930s.

      United Nations

      (Passing By) This building in New York City has served as the global headquarters of the United Nations since 1952. The area has extraterritoriality status, meaning it is technically not bound by the laws of New York or even the United States.

    New York - Philadelphia - Washington DC (203 miles)

    Today, we will drive to Philadelphia to visit Independence National Park, home of Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Afterwards, we will continue to Washington, D.C. to visit the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Korean War Memorial. We will also be able to take some photos of the exteriors of the White House and the US Capitol. Then, we will visit the National Air and Space Museum before taking a Potomac River cruise, which will take us past the Washington Monument, the World War II Memorial and the Jefferson Memorial.

      One of the most historically significant cities in the United States, Philadelphia was the original American capital. The City of Brotherly Love draws history buffs and lovers of culture from all corners of the globe!

      Independence National Historical Park

      This National Historical Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania serves as a way of preserving important Revolutionary War sites for future generations. Called "America's most historic square mile," this 55-acre park in the "Old City" district is not to be missed.

      Liberty Bell

      The famously cracked Liberty Bell is a sign of American Independence and spirit. Located at Liberty Bell Center in Philadelphia, PA, this symbol of the American Revolution was crafted in 1752-- more than 250 years ago.

      Independence Hall

      One of Philadelphia's most famous landmarks, Independence Hall in Independence National Historical Park is the location where both the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were debated, written, and ratified by the Founding Fathers of the USA.

      The capital of the United States of America sits on the scenic Potomac River. Monuments, museums, and Americana characterize this historic city, which is located in the District of Columbia between the states of Maryland and Virginia.

      Lincoln Memorial

      This iconic American monument honors the 16th president of the United States. Abraham Lincoln was president during the American Civil War, and is most famous for the Emancipation Proclamation that freed all of the slaves in the US.

      Vietnam Veterans Memorial

      This memorial in Washington, DC serves as a place to remember the American soldier who were lost or killed during the tumultuous Vietnam War. Originally controversial in design, the simple memorial has become a shrine for the American people.

      Korean War Veterans Memorial

      This memorial commemorates those who served for the United States in the Korean War. It is located south of the Reflecting Pool at the National Mall. The simple memorial is triangular in shape will a circle at the top.

      White House

      The world-famous White House in Washington, DC is the official residence of the president of the United States and the place where most of the work is done. The facade of this neoclassical mansion is a global icon.

      US Capitol

      The famous United States Capitol is the meeting place of the US Congress, and has been for more than 200 years. The building is famous for its elaborate dome and intricately designed, detailed columns.

      National Air and Space Museum

      One of the Smithsonian Institute's museums in Washington, DC, the National Air and Space Museum chronicles the history of flight. From the Wright Brother to Buzz Aldrin, the exhibits at this museum explore all of humanity's air travels.

      Potomac River Cruise

      The Potomac River runs along Washington, DC, the capital city of the United States of America. Visitors to this famous locale can opt to see many of the area's most historic landmarks and memorials in a unique way.

      Washington Monument

      This iconic obelisk is a memorial to the commander-in-chief of the American revolutionary army and eventual the first president of the United States of America, George Washington. The massive stone structure began construction in 1848.

      World War II Memorial

      One of Washington, DC's many monuments and memorials, the WWII Memorial pays homage to those who served in the US military during that conflict. It was opened in 2002.

      Jefferson Memorial

      The Thomas Jefferson Memorial is a memorial to the third president of the United States. The impressive building is neoclassical in design and has been standing since 1943. It sees more than two million visitors every year. It's only available during the Cherry Blossom time.

    Washington D.C. - Corning - Niagara Falls (343 miles)

    In the morning we will journey to Corning and visit Corning Museum of Glass . The we will continue to Niagara Falls, NY. Here, guests can overlook the deafening roar of the American Falls, the Horseshoe Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls! If time allows, guests will have chance to take the impressive Niagara Jet Boat and see the "Niagara: Legends of Adventure" IMAX film. (If time's not allowed, customers would see the movie at Canada side). Afterwards, you can choose either: A. to self-explore the Falls Park until returning to the hotel. B. to take optional Niagara Falls In-depth Tour. At dusk, there will be an exciting Traditional Native American Dance Show, "Thundering Water Cu ltural Show", and the night will be ended with the beautiful native singing and the gorgeous traditional dancing!
    • Corning, NY

      Corning is a city in Steuben County, New York, United States, on the Chemung River. The population was 11,183 at the 2010 census. It is named for Erastus Corning, an Albany financier and railroad executive who was an investor in the company that developed the community.

      Corning Museum of Glass

      This museum in western New York is dedicated to the history, art, and science behind glassmaking. Its collection contains more than 45,000 objects, some of which date back millennia. It was founded in 1951 and sees 400,000 visitors annually.

    Today, we will leave New York and head for Boston, enjoying the scenery on the way. In the afternoon, we will visit the campuses of Harvard University and MIT. Then, we will pass by Trinity Cathedral, the Hancock Building, the Boston Athenaeum, Boston Common, the Public Gardens, and the Massachusetts State House. For dinner, we will enjoy a fresh Boston lobster meal.

      Harvard University

      One of the most famous institutions of higher learning in the world, Harvard University in Cambridge, MA has been standing since 1636, making it the oldest university in the United States. Tourists come for both history and the architecture.

      MIT

      (Outside Visit) The Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts is a research university known the world over for its highly selective and intense academics, and MIT alumni include 24 Nobel Prize winners and 22 Rhodes Scholars.

      Trinity Church

      John Hancock Tower

      (Passing By) The John Hancock Tower is an iconic skyscraper in Boston, MA. Constructed in 1968, this beautiful blue building is staple of the Boston skyline. It is the tallest building both in Boston and all of New England.

Lunch at Quincy Market, you cannot miss the famous New England clam chowder. In the afternoon we will drive to Newport, RI to visit the Breakers Mansion.

    Today we will drive north of the city. Our first stop will be the famous military academy, West Point, in the town of West Point, NY. Here, we will learn about the Unites States' military history. From there, we will make our way to Woodbury Common Premium Outlets in Woodbury, NY for some bargain shopping. At the end of the day, we will return to the New York City area to spend the night.

    Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.

    Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .

    Tour Departure: This tour has 100% guaranteed departure; if the tour is cancelled there will be refund of 120%. Restrictions apply; due to weather conditions, State Emergencies, Airport Closures or anything beyond the control of the tour operator the 120% refund will NOT apply.

    Cancellation penalties per person for tours last 5 or more days(Notification day and departure day are not counted)

    • Up to 46 days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
    • 21-45 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
    • 8-20 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    • 1-7 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    • There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.

    Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

    Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.

    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
