The tour was nice and the guide too. I only have a complaint about the information the guide gave us about the visits we were going to have. During the visit at the Capitol in Washington the guide didn't tell us we would have been submitted to a security check airport-style. So in my backpack I had a Victorinox multikit that, even though it's not a weapon, the police told me to throw it away. I put it outside the building, but when I came back one hour later, I couldn't find my swiss knife. Il I had known about the security check, I would have left my mulitkit on the bus.
Very nice tour. The Amish visit is very good. Also, the hotel was good. The second day itinerary is very rushed. Finally, we would like to give some special credits to our tour guide, Benny. He is very good and my kid had great time.
Good value tour. Cora, our tour guide was great! The tour only had 12 English speakers, the rest were Chinese, and she worked hard to ensure we all got the same information. Itinerary is too much for 2 days as the whole thing felt very rushed. Not enough time to see things properly. Would have loved to tour Liberty Hall in Philadelphia, but we just did a drive by and a lunch stop. Drop the Princeton tour, it was not interesting. Amish tour was okay, but not worth $20. River cruise was okay as we got a free air show on Veterans Day, and it was the best place to see them. They need to open the toilets on the bus or sort out better breaks to accommodate 50 people needing the restroom. Also a hotel that does breakfast would be better than 15 minutes in a supermarket hunting for food for 1 that does not need refrigeration, and is easy to eat and not junk, however our accommodation for this tour was very good.
Very nice tour. Capitol Hill and the Amish visit were the great highlights. Also, the hotel was good. Maybe more time had to be spent in the Air & Space Museum. Finally, we would like to give some special credits to our tour guide, Tana. She did a great job and shared her knowledge- very good with the crowd!
Value for the money tour, which includes accommodation and transportation. Accommodation was provided in Holiday Inn. The Amish tour is not worth taking. It could be exchanged with some other tours, maybe McHenry Port in Baltimore. The visit inside Capitol Hill is superb. Again, the cruise on the Potomac River in Washington DC is boring. In all, whatever you pay is worth.
A good value for the money, as it includes accommodation and transportation. We stayed in Holiday Inn outside of the Washington DC area. The Amish tour is not worth taking. $20 for a bus ride through some prairie houses - it can be skipped from the schedule all together, for some more time in Baltimore or DC. Also, the cruise on the Potomac River in Washington DC could be exchanged for some more time in the Smithsonian Museum. The route of the cruise is so short and boring. Not recommended to take the cruise. The visit inside Capitol Hill is a highlight.
This tour is a very good value for the money, especially considering the accommodation and transportation. We stayed in a very nice Best Western Plus outside of Baltimore. The Amish tour is not worth taking. $20 for a bus ride through some prairie houses - it can be skipped from the schedule all together, for some more time in Baltimore. Also, the cruise on the Potomac River in Washington DC could be exchanged for some more time in the Air and Space Museum.
We had fun on the second day of the tour!... the Capitol Hill and Baltimore visit was great.. I wish we spent more time to explore these two places rather than going around Pennsylvania and Washington DC while the parades and road blocks are ongoing! It was really a waste of time. The accommodation were awesome, and always getting better. In all we had a great weekend!
Excellent tour, very punctual..our guide was very good for this tour. Value for the money. This was our second tour with take tour and we are happy that we chose them. Highly recommend any of the advertised tours. Best for outsiders who have less time and wanna see as much as they can.
For the money, is a really good trip. However, is too much to cover in 2 days. I wish we had a little more time at the air and space museum. I have to say that our guide was really nice, but her English was too limited and sometimes hard to understand. Hotel was great, and it has a complimentary breakfast. The reason I gave only 3 stars to transportation is because the bus was dirty, it seemed that had not been cleaned for months; the floors the outside. That should be taken care of. Overall, a pretty good experience. Thank you.
Need some more time at air and
space museum. We were given
1 hr and 15 min to see air and space museum including lunch on second day of the trip.
I missed Imax 3D for space/ stars due to running out of time.
At 12:45 to 2:00 pm , time was
given. I tried to finish looking museum by 1:30 and i just saw one show of 3D started at !:25 missed for 5 min and could'nt go for any 3d for space.
For the budget price the trip was quite good. The accomodation was good so was the free breakfast at the hotel :-)
Though two days becomes a bit hectic to cover all the places. Hence I would advise TakeTours should also have a 3-day option for the DC tour so that the visitor can spend some more time especially at the National Air and Space Museum.
The tour guide and the driver were good and deserved their fees.
