Had Lots and Lots of FUN...Awesome experience...i definately recommend take tours...:))
I highly recommend this tour. I have gone on many tours with Take tours and this is by far the best one. Our tour guide was amazing, very kind and professional also he speak a very good English. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Thanks for such a great time.
I enjoyed the tour very much! Knowing that i did this tour alone with bunch of Asian tourist, i felt safe. The tour guide took time and spared extra effort to check on me and gave me some more hits to maximized exploring the places. I was amazed and pleased. Our group also were courteous and prompt with the following the schedules and itinerary. So everything was in place. It was a fun birthday celebration of mine! Thank you!
I had the tour guide freeman and this had to be my best tour! he was great all the attractions were good he gave us enough time to view everything and Tennessee was just beautiful, i would definitely do it again!
The tour is amazing they take you to incredibly beautiful places i am happy, our guide is Amber she very adorable and very helping i definately recommend thIS tour you will not regret ....
I enjoyed this trip very much. I started my tour from NY/NJ. I had never visited states in the south and I was glad with the itinerary of this trip. The tour has many attractions to visit to in short days and one has to cover lot of ground to reach these attractions. So, one may feel little pressed of time spent at each site. The tour is hectic and enough attention is provided to the comfort of the passengers.
The tour guide, Freeman, was very accomodative and cooperative. He treated all the customers very kindly. The driver was very professional as well. Both of them did not let us feel the drag of 4 days. Although I went alone on the trip, but the crew of wonderful passengers did not make me feel solitary at all. I enjoyed meeting new people belonging to different cultures and seeing new places :-)
If the food stops were done at places where more than one eatery outlet is present, that would have been nice. Since I have food restrictions, I had planned for backup plans with my lunch :-)
It would have been nicer if the bus seats have more leg room. The a/c at my seat was not working, and my seat was facing the sun side always (sunny day it was!), so I had challenge sitting for long hours inside bus, adjusting to sun with no a/c. Each seat has power port, so u can always have your gadgets charged, which I think is very important during such long journeys.
The hotels that we stayed were clean and acceptable. At one hotel, there was no hot water. This was addressed during our stay on Day-3 when we stayed at the same place. I later noticed that at this specific hotel, not all rooms were upgraded with new appliances, so some rooms had old a/c, microwave, ports not working, room look etc. and few others had renovated look and feel.
On an overall, the trip was a wonderful experience. I will definitely recommend people to take this tour as its worth it.
This was one of the best tour I have ever took. Bus service is very good . Hotel was brilliant and guide (Johnny Yang) was extraordinary. I will recommend people to take this tour as its worth when you spend money.
we took a 4 day tour to SMOKEY MOUNTAIN with our tour guide "WILSON" bus no 429. He is a very cooperative guide. he was kind enough to help us finding veg food restaurants and is very knowledgeable . would surely recommend this tour to anyone.. many places covered with affordable price and in good time.
Very enjoyable trip with a bus full of delightful passengers that made the trip even more enjoyable.Jerry was the best tour guide and Fernando was simply the best and the wittiest humor. It would be best if take tours stopped the tourist at a mall that has all kinds of foods and not just Asian cuisine and some of the Asian tourist would prefer something different too! Bus could use some more leg room too! Besides that i would like to take another trip with Taketours.
I have enjoyed my Tennessee, Smoky Mountains tour from NY/NJ. The tour guide Leo tried hard for everyone on the bus to be glad. The driver was very professional. The bus was not new, but it did the job and was comfortable enough. The hotels that we have stayed in were quite adequate and clean. We have seen a number of interesting attractions on our itinerary.
We took the 4 day trip with our captain "Fernando" and our tour guide "Jerry". It was simply perfect. Jerry is super well planned and Fernando is just the most cheerful person who did not let us feel it was 4 days. Fantastic tour with enough time to rest and enjoy all the attractions. And we had a bus full of the most delightful passengers that were never late. It was a treat. Thank you Jerry and Fernando.
It was a good trip for us, I went with my wife. The tour escort Johnny Yang is very helpful and informative, he had a lot of knowledge about the attractions. Overall trip is not expensive and is worth taking.
That's a amazing tour with my tour guide Johnny Yang. He is a very considerate guy. He treated all the customers very kindly. Especially the second day of the tour in the Gatlinburg is very hot weather, he still gave us the best service, even though he was sweating. When we watched the Dixie Stampede show, he just had a seat after he guided us to have a correct seat number. I really appreciated his good job. I will also recommend this tour company to my other friends. I hope I can see him in the Canada tour soon.
We had smoky motel room, but our tour guide (Freeman) help us with a much better room. Tour guide and driver were very good. Over all we had a good time. It could be too much walking in the Ruby fall for the elderly.
To all other customer that have reviewed this trip magical i truly agree.
As usual , like any other bus tours the time at each attraction is very limited . At the same time i understand we have many attraction to go to in short days. The tour guide organized this trip very nicely. I went with my grandparents , they don't speak English and the tour guide took care of them very well . she made them feel not left out i appreciated it very much.
my highlight is cavern, and dixie stampede!
Well planned and carried out tour. The choice of attractions is excellent. The tour is hectic though enough attention is provided to the comfort of the passengers.
This trip was truly an adventure. I never been hiking but when we went to rock city I feel like I was on a hike and also, at Natural bridge. The driver was excellent and so was the tour guide Kim.
We went to lots of wonderful places for these four days. Luray cavern, Great Smoky Mountains, Ruby Falls, Rock city and more. Our tour guide arranged the schedule perfect and full filled the whole day!
The attraction they selected are great and earn the price!! Highly recommend attend all of them because you will enjoy and learn a lot about the attractions during the entire trip with the very informative tour guide!!
I highly recommend this tour. We had a great time and Leo, our tour guide was friendly and accommodating/ He is well informed of the beautiful attractions we went to as well as other places which is not on the itinerary. I highly recommend Leo to be our tour guide on our next trip.
I simply loved this tour , mainly because of the tour guide Mr.Leo.... he is the most friendly and polite tour guide i have come across with taketours.... also the places we visited were just magical....more on the countryside , which is much better than big cities any day :) .. I highly recommend this tour and more importantly the Tour Guide Leo .... he is the best.
Great trip. Amazing places to see. Some of the
Places I got to see, I did not know it ever existed. Tour guide Leo was good and organized. Expect long bus ride, sleep around 10.30pm and wake up 5.30 to 6am. It was all worth it.
My friend and I had a good time on this tour. I enjoyed the places we visited. The only con was that there is limited time to spend at each destination, but that is because it takes a long time to travel. The bus driver was very good and the tour guide Stan was very helpful and nice. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys nature and does not mind very long bus rides.
Tour was good. Attractions are good but not enough time to spend in each of them. We usually spend more than an hour at lunch but only 45-50 minutes at some of the attractions. We also have to wake up earlier than needed some days. Overall tour is good.
This bus tour was overall an amazing value. It's not a high end kind of trip, but that's not what you're paying for anyway. The hotels we stayed in were standard nice hotels and the food was always pretty good throughout the trip. Lunches were usually Asian Buffets, which seemed to always have sushi. So you got unlimited sushi for $12-$14!!!! As long as you go into this trip knowing that you're getting an affordable trip, you'll enjoy it.
Our tour guide, Wilson Fan, was extremely helpful and friendly. He did a nice job of balancing between English and Chinese (most people on the bus are Chinese). He had a lot of knowledge of the area and everywhere we went it seemed like everyone in the south knew him already. It was great because he really takes care of everything for you so you just collect your ticket and enjoy the tour! He works super hard and is always easy to reach because he gives out his phone number so if you have any issue, you can just call! The people we talked to on the bus were also very friendly, which was an extra plus.
Some people may not like the structure of a big bus tour because it is fairly strict in the itinerary. You have a limited amount of time and you go with a large group all the time. Sometimes you might wish you had more or less time at certain places, but overall it was a really nice sample of many beautiful and fun places. With all the people, it can also be nice because you can meet some new people. Again, the people on the tour with us were very friendly so try talking to people when you can!
The Smoky Mountain tour was completely too short. You'd probably be better off staying around the base of the town rather than go up because it was an hour wait on the line to get to the top of Smoky Mountain, and then 45 minutes back. By the time we got back down, we had to hurry up and eat and get back to the bus.
We went to Shenandoah Caverns instead of Luray Caverns, which was still a good experience. The size of the group we were in made it a bit difficult getting through the tight cavern.
Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede was Christmas themed and definitely very playful and silly. It was something kids and adults could enjoy though because it was definitely entertaining.
Rock City stood out as the best tour because it was extremely adventurous and so much to do there. The beautiful sites, wobbly bridges, and other fun trails were great and there was still so much more to explore.
The Natural Bridge was surprisingly beautiful. Pictures don't really illustrate the beauty. If you go first thing in the morning, you can get the sun rise hitting the bridge and the lighting is amazing.
Lookout Mountain/incline railway had great views. Going from the top down, the incline was 72 degrees, so it almost feels like a roller coaster in slow motion!
Ruby Falls was very nice. There were a bunch of fun signs to read along the way like "elephant's foot" when you saw some rock coming down from the ceiling that looked like an elephant's foot. The waterfall at the very end was really incredible, and like the natural bridge, pictures cannot capture the beauty of when you see this waterfall in person.
Great tour! My favorite attractions were Luray Caverns, Ruby Falls, and Rock City. It was amazing to see all the natural sites. The Dixie Stampede show was fun and the food was surprisingly good. This is probably the best tour that's offered here.
Our tour guide Leo is the BEST!!!
We started our trip from Flushing, it was a shuttle cab. Even though it was a little confusing for us to locate our bus, few persons from the tour company helped us, especially one guide. (previous trip one) Mr. Johnny guided us until we met Leo. Later journey was very smooth. Credit goes to the person driving Tony. Our first halt of the trip was in Luray Caverns, which was very big. We were tired walking, it was 16 caves. I guess the biggest in VA, but we enjoyed it a lot. It was little slippery.
We halted in Quality Inn.
In the morning, we took a ride on the Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway, we enjoyed the view of Smoky Mountains until 4:00PM, later proceeded to a famous dinner show in Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge, TN. After the show I got a severe headache because of the lights and sound arrangements. I am mentioning this, to tell you friends about our tour guide and fellow tourists who helped me in getting medicines, for which I felt great.
In the morning, we started our tour from Ruby Falls at 7 AM. Later we took a ride on the Lookout Mountain Incline Railway into Great Smoky Mountains National Park. To my surprise, we met our other trip tour guide Mr. Ben in Tennessee. Later we went to Rock City where seven states can be viewed. It was fun. We halted at Quality Inn.
We started our last day of the trip towards Natural Bridge, VA., and returned to New York in the evening.
Suggestions for improvement -
At least for long trips, make arrangements for good buses. I suggest Academy Buses. Try to stop for food near Subway's so some vegans feel comfortable. Try to make the journey little relaxed, by making the day end at 7:30 or 8:00 PM. It becomes hectic if we sleep at 10:30PM and wake up at 7:00AM.
Overall, the trip was excellent.
It was an amazing tour! Going underground in caves, waterfalls and rock formations. Going atop the mountain with the fantastic panoramic views of the mountains covering 8 states. Well planned tour. Every attraction is different and if you love nature this is the tour to be. Luray Caverns was mesmerizing but Ruby Falls was jaw dropping. I also loved Rock City, the steepest incline Railway and small town Gatlinburg. Dixie Stampede was a fantastic show. One has to experience this once in their lifetime. Southern Belle cruise was refreshing and the natural bridge was the best activity that culminates the tour. Very much well worth it, plus Fernando was a superb driver and Ning was an excellent tour guide. This tour is highly recommended.
Overall a good tour. This tour has a variety of attractions. The caverns, mountains, water falls, incline railway, cable car, dixie show etc. Enjoyed it much. Well managed tour.
I'd recommend this tour to friends only if they could endure a long bus ride with few rest stops. I went on this tour during the Memorial Day Weekend. Our tour guide, Wilson Fan, is energetic & funny. He made sure we arrived on time for the events on the itinerary. Our driver, Mr. Yang, drove safely & steadily to make sure we arrived our destinations. I was disappointed with not going on the natural trail at the Smoky Mountain Park, which was on the itinerary. Overall, I enjoyed this tour.
Now this was a fun tour! Filled with activities for all types of entertainment lovers out there. We did this over Memorial Day weekend so the 4-day trip was perfect for our schedule. There is a lot of bus riding, but every attraction is different from the previous one. There are some beautiful places to see and history to know. Everyone we met was very kind and they took their time to explain everything we needed to know. The only problem with my particular tour was that our bus broke down while we were on one of the attractions. It was inconvenient because we had to wait for a new bus and we had to spend the night without our luggage. Other than that, everything was perfect. Our new bus was better than the first one and it took us all the way back to New York in a safe manner. Overall, a wonderful trip.
Excellent trip! We were in eight states in one trip: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia. Highlight was visiting the city of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Traveled June 12th everything was green and beautiful, with amazing mountain views. Holly was the best tour guide, we saw her again in New York later that summer, and she was just as wonderful even when not working as our tour guide. Bottom line, we had fun!!!
This was a great tour. I was able to find a room partner on the bus and the company credited the difference in amount back to me in 5 days. This was amazing. The tour guide Teresa was very good. It was a nice experience overall. The agenda was met and exceeded my expectations.
I went for the trip by myself but managed to find a companion on the bus there. I called the company and they refunded me the extra charges.
Our tour guide, Teresa, is very knowledgeable about the attractions. She even gives us additional information that the local tour guides may not have mentioned. If you prefer natural attractions, and don't mind long bus rides getting to those places, then this tour might suit you.
I love the Smoky Mountains area, but wish that there could be more time for that instead of Dixie's Stampede. Frankly, I wasn't too interested in the dinner show, and I thought $55 was a tad too pricey. The hotel on the first and third night was good, but the hotel on the second day seemed a bit shabby.
The tour is awesome. The driver was very good. Luray Caverns, Ruby Falls, and Rock city were excellent. Food is also very good, and the most important thing is our tour guide Holly. Our tour is amazing because of her. She is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, excellent, and very friendly. She made our tour unforgettable. Many many thanks to Holly.
This trip went better planned and executed than I had imagined. The guide Holly is extremely smart and a very good planner. Since this was on a Labor Day Weekend, she anticipated huge crowds everywhere we went and took necessary steps to get us visit these places on time and without delays. One good example was Ruby Falls, she made us leave the hotel early and we were at Ruby Falls by 8:00am, and by the time we got out at 9:15am, we realized how right she was in avoiding huge the queues standing outside. I am pretty sure we wouldn't have covered this many places had we been on our own, driving. Just one glitch, they stopped at McDonalds for one dinner (day one) which we hated, but besides that. we had plenty of options during our other lunches and dinners. Also they could avoid Days Inn for the second night as it was sub standard. Overall, a very good trip and we had enough time to spend at each tourist attraction, and with a jolly guide like Holly, this trip can't get any better! Highly recommended!!!
The trip was amazing. This was my second time that I took this trip with my wife, and we enjoyed it a lot. I always fall in love with Rock City because of the beautiful views. The guide Brian was great, funny, and kind. Thank you Brian!
Excellent tour- I will recommend to everyone. The planning is very good- we had enough time to ride the aerial tramway more than once in the Smokey Mountains, as well as sampling moonshine whisky. Ruby Falls, Incline Railway, Rock City - on third day - great- especially Rock City Garden, which was a treat to watch. Our guide, Holly, put in extra effort - especially one morning, our hotel's breakfast lady was absent but Holly took care of us. All in all - very good experience!
A beautiful relaxing tour in Tennessee and Virginia. All the attractions were amazing. Tour guide (Holly) and bus driver (Albert) were so friendly and fun.
Overall, the tour was okay. They skipped 'Great Smokey Mountain Park', which is mentioned in the itinerary, which I doesn't like.. The hotel was okay..If you are vegetarian then arrive with some handy snacks/food to survive if no vegetarian options are available.
Liz was our tour guide and did a great job. We saw everything promised. Never a dull moment and there were good people on board. Will recommend all interested to book this trip! Looking forward to our next trip. Thank you everyone. -M
I sent my parents on this trip, they are very happy with the tour and the guide. Guide was very friendly and took care of them for the complete tour. Guide even gave her cell phone number to my parents to talk to me daily. She kept me informed on where they were every day.
The hotel stay provided in the tour was also very comfortable, and they are exactly how they are described in the advertisement.
I would definitely recommend this tour to any one.
I am just back from this trip and it was the most amazing experience I had. The places were awesome, particularly the dinner show of Dixie's Stampede- expensive but totally worth it! Our tour guide, Holly, was the most amazing guide ever- she was friendly, jolly, and gave information about all the sites we visited. She also worked hard to keep the visits on schedule. Would definitely recommend this tour.
The tour was good. If people are saying that beauty lies only at Niagara Falls, I can say that also lies in Tennessee. One must see this tour. Except hotel accommodation on first day, the rest of the tour was amazing. Tour guide, Brian, was very friendly and nice.
Even before commenting on the itinerary and attractions, I would like to share how impressed I was with our tour guide, Holly. I have taken 8-10 GotoBus tours and a lot of other international guided tours, and I must say that Holly is one of the best. Her enthusiasm and commitment to work was stellar. Coming to the attractions, Dixie Stampede was a fantastic experience. Ruby Falls, Natural Bridge & Luray Caverns were very beautiful too. But Smokey Mountain was a let down. Overall, Holly made the tour an unforgettable experience.
I took this tour with my wife during Labor day weekend. Overall the trip was okay as we covered all the places mentioned in the itinerary. Food was pretty decent. The driver was very good and funny. Luray Caverns, Ruby falls, Rock city, natural bridge were excellent. But there are a few things which need attention. We had problems with our tour guide Max. A couple of times he almost left a few passengers behind. He was just sticking to his schedule without considering his passengers. Luckily our co-passengers stopped the bus and everybody got in. Also, this tour is advertised as a Tennessee, Smoky mountain tour but we hardly got to see Smoky mountains properly. Most of the tour itinerary seems to be tied up with attractions which charge lots of fees. So the tour finally works out to be expensive. I also noticed buying the attraction tickets online works out cheaper than buying from the tour directly. Dixie stampede is not worth $55 and neither is the incline railway. So maybe we could spend more time on the mountains and enjoy the natural trails than such tourist traps.
Overall it was a fun trip with beautiful nature, mountains, caves, falls, gorge, and more.
We ended up traveling in 4 different buses with a new driver every time because of mechanical failures. But the guide and the company were working hard to get a replacement bus quickly. Apart from that everything went well.
If they add Shenandoah Park /Skyline Drive which is right next to Luray Caverns would be a great plus.
Need more time in Gatlinburg and Smokey Mountian by removing Dixie Stampede show ($55 for s stupid dinner show :-o ).
Hotels were okay but had free Breakfast.
Ruby Falls, Rock City, & Natural Bridge were great places.
Itinerary is really well designed for 4 days.
Very Good. Excellent trip with lots of fun and excitement. First of all the cost of the trip is not expensive and worthy. There were total 16 groups but felt like a one family and helping each other/responding with a smile on the face. The tour guide Mr.Max was so friendly and took care of every body nicely. The bus operator Mr. Mill was so cool and made every body to enjoy the travelling with his nice driving and always smile on his face. I recommended the tour to my relatives and friends and they booked the trip to go on 08/29/13.
Thanks to Mr. Max, the guide.
Thanks to Mr. Miller, the bus Operator.
Thanks to takestours.com
Thanks to gotobus.com
Thanks to the customer service people.
My husband, my daughter and myself absolutely loved this tour. We did so many things on 4 days yet we didn't feel tired at all. The itinerary was amazing, and everything was on time. I just wished we had more time on Rock City and the Luray Caverns, because there is some more attraction to know if you have the time and the extra money. Our tour guide Carmen was amazing and very sweet and funny, and our driver Robert was fantastic, he drove so smoothly. Can't wait to go on another tour with E-World Tours!!!
The tour was very well managed. Our guide Evan always went out of his way to ensure everything ran smooth and everyone was on time. Our driver was a great sport and sang songs for us too! All the attractions were very unique. This trip does involve a lot of travel but if you don't mind that, I think all the attractions made the trip very well worth it. Ruby Falls was spectacular. Luray Caverns and the mirror reflections were amazing. Dixie Stampede was great. On Glatinburg I think the downtown is more interesting than the destination of the cable car. The incline tram was interesting. Natural Bridge was OK. Remember there is a 7$ per person per day service fee (which the tour guide and the driver very well deserve) but not included in the ticket price so do factor that in while calculating the expenses. The tickets for the attractions as well cost 168$ per person. Stops are mostly McDonalds/Burger King/Asian Buffets so make sure you can adjust to that or bring alternatives. Overall me my wife and my parents had a great time thanks to the careful attentiveness of Evan and we would highly recommend this trip.
We enjoyed this 4 day Tennessee tour with our tour guide (Emily) and she explained about the place very well, yes I would suggest to my friends to go this Tennessee tour with tour guide (Emily)
Thank you
Raj & Hima
I went to the trip with my family.it is so beautiful there and we enjoy the trip alot. The tour guide,NING is very nice and well organized guy.We had a really good time
This tour was awesome! I liked rock city garden the most because you can see 7 states up there. If you want to be away for a little bit from a busy life in the city, this is the best trip to go to. The hotel was not as good as with a 5 star hotel but with the price of this tour and free breakfast, its worth it. The downside of this trip was the bus. Its shaky throughout the trip and we're in the bus most of the time. It made me feel tired easily. Our tour guide Kitkat was a wonderful guide, very accomodating and always on time.
We enjoyed the 4 Day Tour very much with my wife and son.It was simply excellent with this budget and time.Tour guide Carmen was great, full of energy, funny and helpful. We wish to travel again with her.
It was memorable experiece.
we enjoyed all the attractions that we visited and that we did not even know they were there. I will recommend this tour to somebody who would like to get away and get in touch with nature. Im a person who likes to explore but never knows where to go and this was perfect, the kids loved it and we did too.It was a nice and relaxing experience. It was good to get out of the city and enjoy the views of the road. The tour guide, Charlene was very helpful and polite. miller, the driver was great too. i felt safe with him driving. We definitely looking forward for the next experience.
My husband and I had a great time. Our tour guide, Kitkat was very helpful and entertaining. We saw a lot of places we would not have known about. We are ready to book our next tour.
We had good time. Third day is very good. Visited so many places. My favourite place is ROck city. Hotel rooms are Ok.We look forward for future package like this one.
Guide Angie was rude.
It is a good tour. Had wished the tour hadn't ended. Covering so many attractions in 4 days is almost impossible but we covered everything. Would recommend this tour to others.
We had a good time and enjoyed all the places we visited. The hotels are ok.I advise you use walking shoes and bring flashlights to use in Lost City(slippery). Our favorite is the dixie stampede,The Ruby falls and Rock city.I passed the Natural bridge as I had no more strength to walk a distance.
My daughter and I absolutely loved this tour. We did so many things in just four days and wasted no time at all. Our tour guide, Jimmy, was very nice and also funny. He explained everything very well in both chinese and english. I loved the caverns as i have never been in one. I also enjoyed Dixie Stampede show. We are vegetarians so they provided us with pasta, corn and other things which was really nice and the cowboy show was just amazing. We took many pictures all of which came out amazing due to the beautiful nature and scenery. One thing i would recommend is that when you visit the smoky mountains, do go on the chairlift that takes you to the very top of the mountain and also take the slide as well. This was one of my favorite part of the trip, and it costs $7. Overall, everything on this trip was an awesome experience!!
It was an excellent trip. The driver and tour guide are very professional.Need to bring a lot of cash. Really love the service of the tour and gotobus site.
It was excellent tour. It wouldn't have been possible to cover more than eight attractions by car. One suggestion I would have is improvement on the hotel choice and check in times. All 3 nights we checked into hotel after 10:30pm and checked out around 7:00am. Tour guide Mr Kawa was cool and offered help for everything possible. I would highly recommend this tour for others. Thanks
I just arrived back from my tour i had an overall great time. My tour guide was Carmen she was great, full of energy, funny and helpful. however, i found that when we arrived at the hotel at around 10pm it took at least half an hour to one hour for us to be in our room, im not sure who was to blame for that but it was quite annoying to stand around for such a long time just to get handed a key. also she spoke in chinese for at lease 5 minutes and the english translation was just a few words, i felt the tour was far more geared towards the chinese people. we ate loads of chinese food at some very cheap and great buffet places, breakfast was included at the hotels which was a great extra. I also found majority of the Chinese people that were on my tour to be VERY rude, impolite and made my trip less enjoyable, i know that is not the companies fault but i was put at the back with all non english speaking people and it made 8 hours on the bus each day feel much longer, i think it would be better if all english speakers were put together. The bus was clean, driver was great, but the bus we had only had about 4 tvs total and was hard to see from many seats in the bus. I also found some of the movies were not child friendly and i dont think it is the best for children to be hearing so many curse words, death and drug references especially in the green hornet, was a great adult movie however not for the 5 year olds on the bus. Also make sure you bring LOADS of cash as you have to pay cash upfront for all attractions. we did everything on the itinery, however i found we spent to much time in glatinburg doing our own thing and i think i speak on behalf of the group when i say we should have got up one hour later and only had 2 hours of free time there. dixie stampede being my favorite part. Tennessee was AMAZING! Carmen was a great guide, hold onto her!
This tour was really good since we had a good tour guide, Carmen. She was well organized, had a sense of humor and made the trip more pleasant. The tour overall was great, fast paced but dynamic. We got to do everything that says in the itinerary. The breakfast was a plus. Really good tour overall.
Overall the tour was very good, but was very fast paced. We did cover a lot of ground but then only did one attraction at a place and did not see anything else, in which there was much more to see or do. We arrived very late in the night to our first stop 'The Natural Bridge'. This was very disappointing as we were walking in the dark and did not get to the see the beauty of the natural bridge. We then watched the 8pm light show but were only able to watch half the show before we then boarded the bus again, which seemed pointless.
I would have liked to have seen more and had another attraction at the Smokey Mountains.
Please note that this tour is mainly non-english, as myself and my friend were the only english speaking passengers. At times it was confusing-the translation.
The tour guide was very good and she was always on time. She gave everyone a postcard at the end of the trip.
My travel experience in go to bus to Virginia- Tennessee was an awesome experience. The tour was well organized and Robert the tour guide was very good with time and tour information. The hotels were we stayed were cleaned and had continental breakfast. We had enough time to appreciate the beauty of the caverns, Rock City, and dinner at Dixie stampede was out of this world I highly recommend this tour to whoever reads my comment and to whoever has never visited Tennessee. Do not hesitate and book today is an experience you won't forget!.
On our first day, we were walking around Chinatown for more than 30 minutes, trying to catch the bus because it was very difficult to find. This tour turned out to be really good! I appreciate that the bus was kept clean despite the fact that we could not use the bathroom in the bus, at least, there was no smell at all the whole time. Bags were provided hanging from our seats for our trash. The stay in the Days Inn hotel were good but not in the other hotel in Tennessee. I suggest for the tour organizers to find a different hotel. Of course there was a lot of time spent in the bus since the distance we have to cover is long, but we used this as a time to nap. We brought with us a rechargeable DVD for our 4 year old in case the movie in the bus did not interest him. What we like most with the tour is that there is no time wasted. We wake up early, we eat lunch and tour the sights on-time. You really have to hurry all the time but if you want to cover as many in such a short time, this is an EXCELLENT way to do so! Bring lots of cash though to enjoy all the places you have to go. I suggest around $500 for a group of 3. All the places listed in this tour are EXCELLENT places to go to. Thanks to Sonny, the tour guide, who was very good in taking care of all of us. Yes, we are booking 3 more vacations with GotoBus and EworldTravels this summer 2010. In fact, we're ready to go to another one this Monday! Our 4 year old son loves this tour.
It was excellent. Me, my wife and 4 year old son enjoyed the tour. You should tell the passenger to bring enough money for cash payment or you can put an option so passenger can pay all those optional payment same time when they buy the ticket. We like your program as designed. We look forward for future package like this one.
